After the story was told turned out to be the DAY after the story was told, much to Silva's irritation. He wanted to see this guy that Ice said he was like, wanted to disprove her theory. He sat on her shoulder, his arms crossed over her chest, his back leaning against the curve of his neck, one leg bent up, the other hanging down her front.
"So where we going? A forest? A--"
"Space ship. GoldRings, to be precise. It's..." She paused, frowning slightly. "Heading for the planet Zard. There." She opened the door, and walked through.
The room was dark, lit by the stars rushing past the gigantic windows that covered most of the walls. There was a computer desk in the center, a complete professional workout station in the corner and a giagntic bed in the other. It was huge, big enough to put Ice's entire house in the single room. And someone was in the shower.
"s**t." Ice muttered, flushing slightly at the sound. "Maybe I shouldn't have left Jade with TB... I should go check--" The water turned off, making her groan as a tall, white haired male came walking out of the bathroom wearing only a towel. He stopped, grinning widely as he caught sight of her.
"Darlin! I KNEW you couldn't resist me!"
"No, Boss." She muttered, covering her eyes as his hand dropped to the towel. "This isn't that kind of visit. Not that there will ever BE that kind of visit, but--"
Boss snorted, shrugging and heading for his dresser closet. He typed something on an electonical pad and an outfit came out of the wall. "So... What can I do you for, darlin? He tugged on his clothing, completely uncaring that he was naked for a bit. "I would offer to kill someone, but it's not in my contract anymore."
"I want you to meet my... friend." Ice announced, pointing to the small fairy on her shoulder. Boss raised an eyebrow, grabbing his playalien off of his computer seat and tossing it onto his desk before dropping down. He kicked his feet up on the desk, tenting his fingers as he examined Ice's "Friend."
"What... is he?" He finally asked.
"He's a fairy. He came from that bloom you saw the last time you visited." Ice replied, dropping down in the chair facing his and blinking as she realized how it dwarfed her. "Ober's chair?"
"For gaming marathons." Boss replied, still not taking his eyes off of Silva. Silva ignored him, hopping off of Ice's shoulder and heading for the magazine that Boss had tossed, raising an eyebrow in his own version of shock.
"Ice?"
"Not now, Sil. I need to tell Boss why--"
"But you might want to see this..." He said, sounding amused for some reason. Ice blinked, then looked down, her eyes going wide as she took in the picture of herself on the cover. She grabbed it, only to have Silva grab the other end. "Hey! I' not done with that!"
"Yes you ARE."
They both looked up as Boss started laughing, Ice flushing slightly. "I've got an extra copy, kid. You can have it."
"No he can NOT! I already took his mangas away! And now you're encouraging him! He doesn't even have... those... parts."
Boss winced. "Tough break, kid... must be ha--" He stopped, looking for a new word choice. "Difficult."
Silva snorted, shrugging. "I get by." He muttered, flushing slightly. He turned, pointing at him and glaring at Ice. "But HOW is HE like ME?"
"Other then the appearant pervertedness?" Ice asked. "Tell him about your past, Boss."
"Well, just last week I hit a twenty footer, that wave was--"
"Not that past."
"Oh..." He scowled, glaring at Ice as if being asked to do something deplorable. "Darlin, you KNOW I don't like bringing that up. Give me one good reason why I should."
"Because Silva here met Snake."
"... well s**t." He sighed, his expression turning emotionless. "Snake actually had a lot of say in my raising, kid. As an older hunter he got stuck training the younger kids in the basics, swordplay, the quickest way to kill someone, the--"
"Wait... what do you mean hunter?" Silva interrupted, the word bringing back Ice's comment about gene doping. "You mean you were--"
"You mind? I'm tryin to explain something." Boss said, glaring at him. "Like I was saying, kid, I was taught how to fight by the older hunters, including Snake. b*****d almost killed me a few times before I learned how to fight. Then I got better then he was. Hell, I was the best there was."
"Like the guy on the TV, huh?"
"TV? You saw the hunter channel?" Ice asked, trying to hide her shock.
"If he met Snake then of course he did. The p***k's addicted." Boss muttered. "Then I got out."
"Why?" Silva asked.
"Because I don't like killing people, kid. I don't much like people in the first place, but killing them isn't all it's cracked up to be." There was a strange tone to his voice, as if he was keeping something from them. "For one, it's messy as hell."
Silva was silent, thinking about what the other man had said as he looked around. This man had been the same thing as the killer that had tried to shoot him. But he didn't seem the same... He wasn't even as tough acting at the first man Silva had run into.
"Are you fast?" He finally asked, looking up at the other man.
"I can be."
"Are you as fast as Snake?"
"Had to be to survive." Boss shrugged, a little smile playing on his face. "What's your point kid?"
He was as fast as the second man... maybe even faster. And he hadn't seemed surprised to see them in his room. But he wasn't... he didn't seem like them.
"He thinks he might be becoming like Snake." Ice stated, sending a flush over Silva's face.
"I thought that once, too, kid." Boss said, pulling out a jar of peanutbutter from one of his desk drawers. "But then I realize there could never be two such massive dicks in the universe. It would probably collapse under the pressure or something."
Silva jerked, then choked on a laugh, holding it back with extreme will-power.
Ice stood, offering her hand to Silva. He stepped onto it, allowing himself to be deposited on her shoulder again, all the while watching the man flip through the same magazine Ice had taken.
"I didn't say you could have it back, Boss." Ice muttered, flushing brightly as he pulled out the centerpiece shot of her. Boss shrugged, smirking.
"You never said I couldn't, either."
"When did he--" Silva started out, then scowled. "Damn."
Boss flipped the page, smirking slightly as what had just happened filtered into the feien's mind. He hadn't been lying when he had said he was fast.

"So did that help?" Ice asked as they headed down the halls of GoldRings, passing crowds of strange looking creatures, large bear men, people with fox tails, or bunny ears, or-- Silva turned, looking at her.
"Help what?"
"Okay, I admit, Boss isn't the greatest role model, but he's not a psychopath." Ice said, making Silva think back to why they had come there in the first place. He shrugged.
"I still don't see it." He replied, turning and watching as a bunny girl walked past.
"You would from my point of view." She replied dryly. "Now c'mon. I want you to meet a few others before we skip out." She took the stairs down, and down, and down until they were on the second to lowest level of the ship. "Now don't be surprised of she tries to--"
"Mine!!" The shout made them both jerk, only to stare as a blur of speed passed by clutching what looked to be a comic book. They had almost relaxed when an even larger blur passed them, then jerked to a halt.
It was a large bald man with a goatee. He was glaring at Ice, crossing his arms over his chest and ignoring the blonde boy who suddenly stopped and jogged back to them.
"Hey Ice! Where ya been?" Mikey, a fourteen year old blonde boy asked, grinning widely.
"Oh, around. How's it goin, kiddo?" Ice grinned, watching as the boy started explaining everything he had been doing lately with exaggerated movements. Finally she interrupted. "So you stole Ober's comic book and you expect me to tell him that you can have it, right?"
"Finders keepers! Besides, HE--" He said, pointing to the still glowering male, "Has already read this one."
"Maybe he bought it to lure you into being caught so he can pick up the creds on your head." Ice replied, ignoring the strange look on Silva's face as he stared at Ober.
Mikey blinked, hitting the large man in the chest with the comic and racing away. Ober snorted, rolling the comic and shoving it into his back pocket, then looking at the small creature on her shoulder pointedly. "What the hell is HE looking at?" Silva muttered, feeling the strange urge to hide.
"You, actually. Ober, this is Silva. I was going to take him to meet Kia, but we ran into... you ran into us first." She shrugged, making Silva grab her neck to keep from being tossed.
Ober raised an eyebrow, not liking females in general, but not willing to look like a coward in front of the kid. At least Ice wouldn't scream at him for being a halfbreed. Hell, she didn't even know what SHE was.
"But Silva likes to work out--" She stopped, glaring as the large man started laughing. "So he's a little small, it doesn't mean he can't lift things."
Ober dug in his pocket, pulling out a quarter and flipping it at Silva. Silva caught it, throwing it right back. "He's a d**k." Silva muttered, glaring as the man caught the coin with ease.
"But he's a strong d**k. Now quit your complaining or he won't show you his routine." Ice turned, glaring at the still amused Ober. "Will you."
He shrugged, heading for the stairs to go to the gym level. It wouldn't kill him to get in an extra workout. And Ice mad wasn't the thing he wanted to deal with at the moment.
When they got to the gym room Silva stared in something close to shock. There were rocks on the walls, with people crawling them like a mountain. There was a large box in the corner where people were staring through the large windows. Then there was the area Ober was heading for, a lowered pit like place with more weights and machines then Silva had seen in his life.
"Most of these machines are a set of pullies tied to weights. That makes it less dangerous when dropping the weights." Ice whispered, follwoing the large man and ignoring the looks of the other men working out. "Dammit, I'm going to KILL this dimension's Ice..."
Silva ignored her, watching the large man drop down on a bench, grabbing a gigantic barbell from off the rack at one end of the bench and pulling it slowly down to his chest. Then with a surprising burst of power he shoved the bar back up, straightening his arms. Then he lowered it to his chest again, even more slowly then he had the first time.
"By slowing down he increases the pressure on his muscles, making both parts of the press help with the workout." Ice said, earning a scowling nod from Silva.
"Hey, babe! I can show you some--"
"You idiot, she's watching the halfbreed for a reason. You think you can outdo that?"
"Oh... right."
Ober smirked, putting the barbell up and heading for the pullies attached to the wall. He powdered up, then grabbed the handles, exhaling as he shoved forward, alternating arms in punch-like movements.
"That increases the amount of weight you practice putting behind a punch, babe. In order to move the ropes you have to put all your weight behind it. Not to mention without the weight you go a lot faster." She thought for a second. "We're going to need some of that rope of yours, a couple of ball bearings and some wood..."
Ober nodded, his excellent hearing picking up every word as he let that go for the moment and headed for the mats in the corner. He dropped down on his hands, his back straight as he assumed the push-up position. He did both hands a few times as Ice explained, then he put one hand behind his back. So what if the little flying thing wouldn't be able to do this routine on his scale? At least he was willing to do it at all. Puck didn't lift anything larger then a computer, and sometimes not even that.
He turned, doing situps long enough for the kid to take in the details. Then he stood, stretching. and looking over at the fairy on Ice's shoulder. He cracked his neck, smirking slightly.
They all jerked as Mikey said something from above. "He's forgetting the running." The boy dropped over the side of the pit, landing beside Ice and sticking his tongue out at Ober. "You won't catch me with Ice standing here."
Ober growled, taking a step forward. Soon the two were out of sight, Ober chasing Mikey just as he had been before Ice and Silva had shown up.
"Running, as much as I hate to say it, increases speed and lung capacity." Ice said. "You see anything that can help you?"
He scowled, nodding and chewing on his toothpick. As much as he hated to admit it, he was already re-evaluating his workout routine.

"I think we might put off meeting Kia..." Ice said, heading for the stairs again. "Any more information and your mind might overload." He said nothing, merely kept thinking, a question bothering him.
"Why..." He muttered, not coming up with an answer. "Why'd he show me?"
"Hmmm?"
"Why'd that big b*****d show me that stuff?" He asked. "He didn't seem to like me much."
"Ober doesn't like many people much." Ice replied. She would have shrugged but she didn't want to knock him off. "But he's had to work for everything he has. And he appreciates people that are willing to work for what they want. No matter if he likes them or not."
He scowled, not wanting to reply.
"Sometimes the worst thing you can do to a person is give them exactly what they want. If they don't work for it then they can't appreciate it as much." Ice smirked. "Ober's known that since he was in short pants. And trust me, that was a VERY long time ago."
"You give me what I want."
"I give you the means to GET what you want. There's a difference. It's not the weights that you want, it's the strength that comes through using them. And the ferret? I just thought he was cute."
He snorted, going silent as he thought her words through. After a few seconds an evil little smirk played on his lips and he nodded. "I think I get what you mean. And if you give them what they SAY they want?"
"And it turns out they don't really want it?" She finished, somehow following his thoughts thanks to the emphasis on "Say." "Then you're playing a guess, actually. But if you're right, then that's probably the meanest thing you could do to a person. Outside of violence, that is."
He nodded, looking smug as he leaned back against her neck and waited for them to reach the door. He had a "Friend" to make.
They went into Boss's room, blinking at the sight of the man practicing with his duel katana, but Ice didn't stick around long enough to talk, just headed for the door, leaving the ship GoldRings for her nicely boring suburbia once again.

((Compilation by Kam^_^))Rescuing Ruya Silva Silva stood in the mid-afternoon sun, staring at the backyard with a strange look of contemplation on his face. What Ice had said about giving people what they wanted had stuck in his head, an idea slowly forming in his mind that could go either way. But hell, it wasn't as if he had much to screw up that he hadn't already. He cracked his neck, pulling the string that hung around his waist off and testing its strength. It wasn't his chain, but it was better than nothing. Sunil Sunil stared at the hole in the door in puzzlement for a moment and then hopped back up on the windowsill. She turned to look out at the backyard and sat down in the sunlight to think. Perhaps she should ask for help? Sunil scowled. She hated to ask for help, it meant admitting she couldn't do it. But then again, Sunil was going to be in trouble if Ruya went missing or worse, ended up dead. She stood and made her way out to the fence in the backyard. If Silva was around he could most likely be enlisted to assist Ruya. Silva The rat was weary, he could tell. It made him smirk slightly as he slipped from shadow to shadow, stalking it as it scuttled through the grass. He was almost surprised they even HAD rats around still. He had killed a good half dozen over the past month or so. He cursed as he realized the rat was heading toward the fence between his and Ruya's house. The b*****d wouldn't escape him that easily. Sunil Sunil smirked as she noticed motion. A quick check revealed that it was indeed her target. But he was on the move. She scowled and then yelled his name. "Silva!" Silva He jerked, cursing as the rat got away and reluctantly stepping out of the shadows. Sunil was calling? He blinked, not having expected that. He wiped the reaction off his face, giving her a leering grin just to piss her off. "Darlin! What brings you to my humble abode?" Sunil Sunil shrugged off his look. She was getting better at not giving away everything she was thinking. I need your help? No that sounded too weak. He would use that against her. Ah, she knew how to phrase it. With a smirk, Sunil crossed her arms over her chest. "Ruya is in danger. I assumed you might be interested in helping her." Silva He hid his first reaction quickly, raising a skeptical eyebrow. "You might not have heard, darlin, but she dumped me. Don't see why I should give a damn one way or another." But he needed to find out what was wrong... "Unless there's some sort of... profit in it for me." He finished, sure she would come up with something. Sunil Sunil snorted. "You gave her your chain. Your unconcerned bullshit doesn't fool me." She raised an eyebrow at him. "After Despair uses your chain to strangle Ruya to death I'll make sure you get it back. I know how important one's weapon can be." Silva He jerked, his face showing the shock her words brought on for a second before he nodded, wrapping the rope around his waist. "Fine. Let's go." He took to the air, heading for Ruya's house without bothering to wait for Sunil. "You're going to have to show me where she is." He called over his shoulder. Sunil Sunil smirked and patted herself on the back for the last part. She had no idea if Ruya would run into Despair or not. Sometimes he kept to himself. She followed after Silva and landed on the kitchen floor just inside the window. Then she pointed to the hole in the door. "I'm almost certain she is down there, but not anywhere near the door or she would have heard me earlier." She shrugged and looked Silva up and down. "I won't fit through the hole even if we get the rapier out, but you're smaller." Silva He nodded, clamping down on his toothpick as he headed towards the hole. Then he paused, turning to look at her. "Before I go... What all am I getting into? Or do you not know?" Sunil Sunil shrugged and unwound the whip on her shoulder. "I'm not sure. The only official resident of the basement is Despair. He looks like a child's stuffed bunny, but give him half a chance and he'll probably rip off your wings. If you and Ruya can avoid him, it shouldn't be that bad since you can see in the dark." She shifted from foot to foot, annoyed she had to explain things. The end result might be more amusing if she didn't. "Struturally, behind the door is a set of stairs into the basement. The basement itself is about the size of the first floor of the house." She guestured at the kitchen and living room door. "According to Kam it is divided into rooms, a little like a maze." Disgusted with herself, she held out the whip. "If you want it, you may borrow my whip. Should work a lot like your chain." She smirked. "Just don't lose it." Silva He shook his head, showing the rope that he held. It was his jumprope, with the small bolt at one end. It worked as a decent weapon in a pinch. "I've got something. And I'll be getting my chain back sooner or later." He turned, looking at the hole for a second. "Darlin... I've faced two psychopaths so far. If I get taken out by a stuffed rabbit I SWEAR I'll come back and haunt you." He turned, slipping through the hole feet first before she could reply. He paused for a second, turning on his night vision and looking around. "... cozy." Sunil Sunil wound the whip back up, relieved to still have it and flew up on top of the counter to watch the door. Ruya After being abandoned in the dark, Ruya wasn't sure what to do. She turned around to try and find the next step, but she just ended up totally disoriented. So she sat down where she was and hugged her knees to her chest. Maybe Bozidar would come back if she waited. Ruya Ruya perked up. Was someone speaking to her? She abandoned caution and yelled back out into the darkness. "Hello?" As her own voice echoed back to her a little, she realized the other voice hadn't done the same. She wondered if she had imagined it until it happened again, louder and a bit threatening. Silva "Well... s**t." He muttered, the voice echoing in his head. It was like Io had been, speaking in his head without his permission. He turned, not thinking yelling was a good idea. If that voice was the bunny Sunil was talking about the last thing he wanted was his attention. He moved into the darkness, looking for Ruya so he could get her and get out. Why in the hell was she down here in the first place, anyways? She didn't even like the spot under the porch stairs! Ruya Ruya tried thinking back at the voice, sending her name and a general picture of herself. She didn't get a response, not that she expected one. Staying here wasn't going to help, she decided. Even if Bozidar came back she wouldn't see him if snuck by her. So she stood and decided to fly. If she kept one hand on the wall, she should be able to make her way down the stairs. There had to be another way out. Otherwise how did the rat get here? So she stood and picked a direction, walking with her hands out in front of her just hoping she didn't walk off this stair and into the one below. Unluckily, she tripped over the raised edge of the stair and pitched forward with a very loud scream, landing on something cold and fuzzy. Silva Good thing was? He had found her. Bad thing was? He didn't know how far she had fallen. He took to the sky, diving towards the stairs and catching glimpse of her and... something furry. "s**t!" He dived, reaching out to grab her before the thing she was sitting on realized she was there. Ruya Realizing she was probably laying on top of the dead rat, Ruya just kept screaming. The rational part of her mind said that wasn't going to help anything, but she was too panicked to try and get off. Silva He scooped her up, forcing his magic to lift them back into the air as he struggled to cover her mouth with his hand. "Shut it, darlin, or you'll get us both killed." Her weight wasn't too bad, but he wasn't used to flying while holding things. Ruya She stopped screaming as she heard the familiar voice and she reached up to pull his hand away from her mouth. "Silva?" Silva "Who else would be stupid enough to chase you into this hellhole?" He asked, almost philosophically. "Why'd you come in here, anyways? What with that damn killer bunny I would have thought you'd avoid this place." He dropped down on the top of the stairs, letting her down slowly so that her body rubbed against his. He wanted to know the answer to his question. Something told him he wasn't going to like it. Ruya "Killer bunny? Is that why Kam keeps the door locked all the time?" Ruya frowned and fidgeted. Ignorance wasn't going to be enough of an explanation for her being here. "I came down here because this is where Bozidar keeps his hoard." She avoided his eyes. "He stole something of mine and I need to get it back." Silva "..." He looked at her, wondering what would be important enough to chase down here for. If it was that stone the little orange s**t had given her he would damn well leave it to her to get it on her own. Bunny or no bunny. But did he even want to know? He shrugged, looking around at the platform they stood on. There wasn't anything except for some dust and spiders. "Then we're going to have to go down the stairs." He said, scowling and heading for them. He wanted to get this over with. He had other things he wanted to discuss. Ruya "No. We're not going anywhere. I have to do this alone." She spoke quietly, crossing her arms over her chest and looking at her feet. "He stole your chain Silva." Silva Those words stopped him mid-step. "My... chain." He replied, not looking at her. "And you expect me to let you go down there and get killed? That way I lose you AND my chain, right? Wait, I already lost you." He turned, a strange smirk on his face. "And I'm supposed to leave my chain to be found by a little girl that can't even see in the dark?" He snorted. "I don't think so. Now either come with me or try finding it on your own before I do. Either way I'm going to get my chain back." Ruya Ruya looked up and scowled at him. "I lost it and I'm trying to make it right. I'll never forgive myself if you're the one who finds it after I lost it." Ruya Ruya jumped and looked down the stairs. Was there something moving down there? One of the lower steps creaked, loud in the rather quiet basement. "s**t," she whispered. Silva "Fine. I'll lead you to it then you can 'Find' the damn thing." He muttered, the hair on the back of his neck attempting to stand as the voice and the noise cracked in the air. "But let's do this fast, darlin. Before whatever's at the bottom of the stairs decides to play with the pretty fairies." Ruya "This sucks. How am I supposed to do anything in the dark? I can't even see you to follow you." She whispered the words, her voice barely audible. Silva He scowled, then sighed, unwrapping the rope around her waist tying one end around his wrist. Then he grabbed her hand, wrapping the other end around hers. "This should keep you from losing me, darlin. But I might have to take it off if we run into something." "Since my chain happens to be somewhere else." He finished, tugging on the rope to make sure it was tied correctly. Ruya "I didn't mean to lose it." She looked at the rope around her wrist. "Thanks. I was gonna follow Bozidar's footprints in the dust. That might be a good way to find his hoard if you can see them from the air." Silva He nodded, then realizing she probably couldn't hear it, spoke. "All right darlin. Let's fly." He shoved off the ground, launching into the sky slowly as he examined the floor. There were several footprints, including his own and Ruya's. But... there. He grunted, tugging on the rope slightly as he followed the trail with the drag mark next to it. Whatever he had been dragging was long, thin, and heavy. Just like his chain. It headed directly towards the stairs. "Darlin? Does the dragon know how to fly?" Ruya Ruya considered the question carefully. "I haven't ever seen him fly, but I guess he might be able to. What are we gonna do then?" Silva "Even if he could fly he couldn't carry that chain while flying for long..." He muttered, heading over the stairs, watching from the sky. He frowned, then caught sight of the trail again. "How the hell does he avoid the rabbit?" Ruya "Maybe he doesn't," Ruya whispered with a shiver. "Maybe they get along. Bozi didn't seem bothered by the dead rat when we came across it earlier." She kept following the string tied to her arm, trying not to fall behind. "He should still be down here in fact." Silva "Yeah." He muttered, going further into the darkness. The trail kept going down, as if the dragon jumped down the steps one at a time. He sniffed the air for smoke, wondering if that might lead him closer. The other footprints had been three inches wide, meaning the bunny wasn't a small creature. He looked around, remembering what Sunil had said about the maze of rooms. "Darlin? Has Sunil ever said anything about coming down here?" Ruya Ruya swung her head around in Silva's general direction, feeling blind. She hated not being able to see, it felt like she was trapped in some sort of very tiny box. "Not to me, but as far as I know the basement wasn't always locked. The washer and dryer used to be down here. Kam said something about it once. How nice it was not to have to go down an extra set of stairs." Silva "Huh." He muttered, seeing the tracks veer off slightly. "To the left, darlin." He altered their direction slightly, expecting her to follow. He didn't really want to talk too much, the rabbit might hear them. But he had to bring something up while it was in her mind. "I've been thinking about what you asked for, darlin." He said, lowering slightly so he could keep track of the tracks. Ruya She was glad of the advance warning as they switched direction. It was tough to folow him close enough not to tug on the rope, which wasn't very comfortable. "For you to sleep with me?" She colored slightly in the dark. It was the last thing she could remember asking him. Silva He scowled. "No, darlin. The one about just being friends for a while." He spoke quietly, scowling as he saw more of the large footprints. They were fresh... "I think it might work." He finished, sounding as serious as possible. "No touching, just... talking." Ruya "Oh, ok." That sounded good, but it didn't really sound like Silva. "What changed your mind?" Despair Closer... I can't reach... Ruya Ruya jerked, pulling on the string connecting her to Silva. Was that voice talking to them? Silva "Nothing... important, darlin." He said, scowling as he saw the prints heading into a small hole in the steps. But the voice bugged him. "Darlin, why don't you stay here while I check something out?" He flew closer to her, untying the roped from her wrist. "And uh... get a little higher while you're at it." He would blend with the shadows, and hope to high hell that the rabbit wouldn't be quick enough to catch him. Or tall enough to catch her. Ruya Ruya reached out for him blindly as he untied her. "Ok, but please don't forget me and leave me alone in the dark." She hugged herself and used her magic to go higher and hover. Silva He grunted, moving before she could touch him. How was he going to do this while letting her think she had found the chain? He scowled, telling himself to take one thing at a time. The rabbit was... He looked around, scowling as he realized that it was staring directly at him. "... s**t." He muttered, taking a deep breath and getting ready to dive. Despair Despair was very happy to have two new potential playmates. The dragon wasn't much fun, too small to catch and all hot. Despair didn't like warmth anymore than he liked light, so for the most part he and the dragon left eachother alone. But these new things looked fun. They didn't have light and they wouldn't be warm for long. Yes, closer... He clapped, staring at one of them with sightless button eyes. Ruya Ruya stayed up by the ceiling, prefering the spiderwebs she could feel to whatever was talking down below. Silva "Not today, fluffy." He muttered, diving to the left then zipping straight down, barely avoiding the rabbit and slipping feet first into the hole where Bozi's tracks had led to. "I hate rabbits." He muttered, looking around. Despair Despair slowly turned, looking for the fairy. It didn't appear to be anywhere in the immediate vicinity, so he turned his head to keep watching the one up above. Bozidar Below the stair, Bozi squeaked indignantly as Silva invaded his cave. Then he started huffing, sitting squarely on a pile of earrings, safety pins, some foil, and yes - Silva's chain. He obviously couldn't decide whether to char Silva or not. Silva "You took my chain, you little s**t." Silva growled, spinning his rope like a lasso. The bolt was at the end of it, making the spin go well. "Now I'm going to get it back." He sent the string flying, hoping that the bolt would have the rope wrapping around the dragon's stubby little legs and hogtie him. Bozidar Bozidar decided to flame right as Silva sent the rope flying at him. It wrapped around his legs, but it also had caught the bulk of the blast. He growled at Silva and chomped part of the chain in question in his mouth. Silva "That..." Silva growled. "Pisses me off." He waited till the dragon was busy chomping at the rope to tackle it to the ground. He forced the small dragon's face away from him as he dug through the pile of jewels and things behind him. "Got it!" Bozidar Bozidar continued to growl, but it was clear he was overpowered. Silva was the big dragon. He stopped struggling and just waited for Silva to take what he needed and leave. Ruya Ruya was starting to get nervous up in the air. It seemed like forever since Silva had left. "Silva?" Silva "That's what I thought." He muttered, arrogantly rubbing the dragon's head before slipping out of the hole. He left the rest of the hoarde there, figuring the dragon deserved it after all his hard work. He scowled, seeing the rabbit focused on Ruya. She was blind in this place, and getting nervous by the looks of it. He started towards her, putting as much speed as he could behind his flight. Hopefully the rabbit wouldn't notice he wasn't as fast going up as he was going down. Despair Despair turned slowly away from Ruya. The other one was back? He reached out with both paws, just barely catching the end of one of Silva's feet. Ruya Ruya fidgeted when she didn't get a response. He probably just couldn't hear her, but what if something had happened? She dipped a little lower in the air. Silva He jerked, feeling his foot stuck between the rabbit's paws, then turned, glaring at him and cussing. "Now that just ain't right." He muttered, before pulling the trick he had been practicing for a while. He kicked upwards, using the giant strength thing and all of his flight magic to slam it back down on the rabbit's paw. He hoped the pain would be enough to have the rabbit loosening his grip just enough for him to get away. Despair Despair let go with a mental howl. He hadn't expected such violence from something so little. How annoying. Ruya Ruya dipped a little lower again, still trying to figure out what was going on. "Silva, are you ok?" Silva "Stay up there darlin, I'm coming to you." He called out, fighting the urge to kick the b*****d again. He wanted to teach the damn thing to stay away from feien. ESPECIALLY since Ruya lived here. But he was worried Ruya would get impatient so he flew upwards, grabbing her hand. "I was wrong. It must be at the top of the stairs, after all." He lied, dragging her back to the top platform of the stairs. Ruya "But I already looked there," Ruya complained as he pulled her back up to the top platform of the stairs. Despair Despair watched them go, and made his own way to the stairs. They'd be trapped up at the top by the door. It was a good way to trap his playmates. Silva He jerked as he heard the creeking on the steps. "Darlin... look, as much as I would like to pander to your ego, you can't find the chain. We gotta get out of here. And quick." He dragged her faster, hoping to outrun the lumbering rabbit as he headed for the small hole. Ruya "I know." She sounded scared, her voice quavering a little. She had no idea what was following them up the stairs, but she knew she really didn't want to meet it if Silva was worried. She used her own speed to get ahead of him, dragging him along. Despair Despair continued up the stairs, following them slowly. He knew he had them, no need to run. Silva His chain was wrapped around his waist, making him feel more confident, but his jumprope was lost... it sucked. And that damn rabbit was getting closer. Finally they reached the platform, reaching the hole. "Go through, darlin." Ruya She felt bad leaving him to be the one who might need to deal with the thing behind them, but she wanted out and she wanted out badly. "Ok." She went in headfirst, putting her arms ahead of her so she could use them to pull herself out the otherside faster. As soon as she got on the other side, she hissed back through. "Come on!" Despair Despair halted as he reached the top of the stairs. One of them appeared to be gone, but the other was still here. The one who had hurt him. He lurched forward with caution, remembering the painful kick from before. Mine! Silva "Not in this lifetime you b*****d." Silva replied, sliding feet first through the hole right before the rabbit could catch him. The flap of cardboard almost fell on his face, making him roll to get out of the way. Panting slightly he stared up at the ceiling, a laugh choking him for a second, then bursting out. "Damn! That... ROCKED!" Ruya Ruya just stared at Silva, totally speechless. "That... rocked?" She sat down on the floor and wrapped her arms around herself. "That sucked! You had to find your own chain and we got chased by some large killer rabbit! You're insane." Silva He sat up, still grinning slightly. "It's all in the way you look at it, darlin. We're alive, aren't we? And the important part is that I GOT my chain, not who found it." He shrugged, not understanding why she was so down. "But hell, darlin, I warned you I was like this." He tried to stand, but wound up falling backwards again, every muscle in his body trembling slightly from the kick he had dealt the rabbit. Ruya She looked up in alarm as he fell and scooted her way over to him. "You ok?" She put a hand on his cheek and stared at his face for a minute. "Thanks for rescuing me. And not from yourself." Silva "I'm uh... fine darlin." He muttered, moving his face away. "But the rule is no touching. We're just friends, remember?" He gritted his teeth, shoving himself to his feet and feeling the adrenaline rush slowly leaving his body. He gave her a crooked smirk. "But keep out of the basement, alright? I'm one of those one-shot heroes. It probably won't be happening again." He turned, walking towards the door. "See ya, pal." Ruya "Right. See ya." She frowned and laid down on the floor to stare at the ceiling. Friends, huh? Whatever. She pushed herself to her feet and started off towards her room. She needed to clean up.

Sonnet paced beside Silva, making they way out to the front yard. "You're sure this will work?" She asked, noting the ferret that Silva led by his reins.
"Not a clue, but hell, might as well try it." He replied, stopping on the front step and unraveling the rope looped over his shoulder. He tied the end of the black roped around the pommel of the saddle and tugged on it to make sure it was tight.
"If you die I swear I'm going to eat you." Sonnet replied, making herself comfortable where she had a good view of the front yard. He snorted, tossing his toothpick into the yard and mounting the ferret.
"Alright, TZ, I want you to go as fast as you can." He muttered, kicking the ferret with his heels. The ferret went running down the stairs and across the yard.
Slowly, Silva started standing up in the saddle, keeping his wings close to his body until he was fully standing. Then he let his wings open, the jerk of the wind hitting them almost taking his breath away. He went flying, the rope tightly held in both hands.
"WHOO HOO!!" He shouted, bringing his wings in slightly so he barrelled through the air. THIS was worth living for.
Back on the step Sonnet snorted, laying her head on her paws and watching Silva fly. She would have mentioned the fact that he didn't need the ferret to fly since he had wings... but she didn't feel like bursting his bubble.

Friends, Fangs, Surfing & Sunglasses Ruya Ruya stepped out of the kitchen window and lowered herself and Rishi onto the back porch. Carrying him had actually gotten much easier now that she had no problem putting her arms around him. "I kinda like my wings," she said to him, settling herself down on a porch step. She craned her neck to look at them for a minute before folding them behind her and looking to Rishi for a response. Rishi didn't say anything though, just laid down beside her and stuck his head in her lap. He looked up at her and wagged his tail, making her laugh a little. "I know, I know." She scratched his ears, causing his tail to wag even faster. "Stop talking about myself." Silva New rules to the game... how the hell did you treat a "Friend" in the first place? Honestly, he had never actually had one before. Unless you counted Ice, and she wasn't a friend. She was a bondmate. Maybe, he thought, an evil idea popping into his brain, you talked about other interesting things... like girls. Or maybe hunting, or even working out. Hell, she might work out... Silva headed for the yard behind his, his chain hanging around his hip, a contemplative look on his face as he chewed idly on his toothpick. He wanted to further his "Friend" plan as quickly as possible, because frankly, he was feeling horny. Ruya Ruya continued scratching behind Rishi's ears and leaned back to enjoy a nice breeze. Between a new edition to the household and growing up, the weekend had been a busy one and it was nice to have a couple quiet minutes in the backyard with her best friend. "Think other people will be as surprised as Sunil when they see I've grown up?" She reached up and felt the fangs that had grown in curiously, remembering Sunil's unhappy reaction to finding that Ruya was taller than her. Silva He slipped through the hole in the fence, crossing the yard only to stop and look blankly at the adult feien sitting on the step. It was female... even had the same markings and coloring as-- "Darlin? That you?" He asked, moving closer. She was sitting down, but even like that he could tell she was a lot taller then he was. Ruya Startled, Ruya looked up as she heard Silva talk. She had the odd urge to run back inside and hide, but Rishi's weight kept her seated. "Hi Silva," she said shyly. "I grew up." She looked at him wanting to see his response, no matter what it was. Silva He looked her over for a second, a smirk pulling at his lips. "You sure did." He liked adult females, so much more territory to cover and-- Dammit, he was supposed to be just "Friends." He paused as he got closer, frowning slightly at the new addition to his darlin. "Are those... fangs?" How the heck do you make out with someone with fangs? Ruya Ruya frowned and brought a hand up to cover the fangs. "Yes. They're going to take some getting used to." She rolled her eyes. "Sunil asked me if I could suck people's blood with them." Silva He raised one eyebrow, reaching out and gently pulling her hand away. Then he took his thumb, running it gently over the fang. "I doubt you'll be sucking much blood, darlin. Too messy." He paused, pulling his hand away before he could ask how sensetive the teeth were. He had said no touching, after all. He dropped down on the stair next to her, ignoring the dog on her lap. The first chance he had to make out with an adult feien and he was stuck to his screwed up honor system. How wrong was that? Ruya "They're not hollow anyway." She smiled, happy to have him around. She had wondered what he would think of her transofrmation. Rishi eyed Silva as the male feien sat by his Ruya, but stood with a yawn and wandered off to another side of the porch. "I'm taller than you," she said teasingly to break the silence. "I'm taller than Sunil too." Silva "I don't mind, darlin. I have a thing for taller females." He leaned back, still watching her with a slight smirk. "So, darlin, how'd it happen? Did you just wake up one day three inches taller? Or did it happen at an awkward moment?" He scowled, imagining her changing mid-kiss with the orange boy, then snorting at the thought of him getting ripped apart by the fangs. Ruya Ruya laughed and ran a hand through her hair. "It happened in my sleep. Sunil came to wake me up for our daily workout and she freaked out. I spent like the next hour looking at myself in the bathroom." Silva "Well stand up and let me get a look, darlin." He twirled his finger, arrogantly. "I want to see how you've changed since I saved you." Ruya Ruya gave Silva a look, but stood anyway. She lifted her wings, stretching them out to their full length and did a complete revolution for him. "See anything you like?" She said with a raised eyebrow and a smirk. Silva "Mmmm..." He almost purred, admiring her long, well curved legs. "But that's not what matters, darlin. Since we're just going to be... friends." Suddenly the word tasted foul. He wanted to see if he could figure out how to kiss her without being shish-ka-bob'd. But he had a plan. "What matters is how does it feel? Being an adult?" Ruya Ruya shrugged and sat back down beside him. She stared out at the lawn for a moment to collect her thoughts. She hadn't really been an adult for all that long. "I feel taller," she smiled apologetically at him, "I really only feel different physically, inside I feel the same. No big revelation that goes along with getting older." Silva "Huh... I kinda figured that." He said, relaxing and watching her through lowered eyelashes. "No sudden urges to find a decent guy and fall into a boringly decent relationship? I'm stunned." He was slightly sarcastic, hiding his sudden worry. Maybe there was a problem with just being friends. Looking like she did, save for the fangs, she could hunt down one of those adult males and forget all about him. Being short sucked... Ruya Ruya laughed and laid back on the porch with her hands behind her head for support. "No, no urges to do any such thing." Was he... worried? She narrowed her eyes at him in concentration briefly before looking away. "Think you'll be tall when you grow up Silva?" What if he was still too short when he grew up? That would just be weird. She didn't want to have to bend down to kiss someone, assuming one even could kiss someone with fangs. That thought hadn't occured to her before and she frowned. Silva "Don't know darlin... I could be." Ice had never said whether he would be tall, he doubted she even knew. "But hell, I'm not the type of guy that goes for a 'decent' type of relationship, whether I'm tall or not." He winked at her. "I'm much more interested in 'indecent.'" Ruya Ruya blushed a little and turned away for a minute. Then she looked at him again and smiled, sitting up. "Being just friends with someone is pretty decent." Silva "Well, darlin, that's because I have ulterior motives." He told her, smirking so that she didn't know if he was being serious or not. "But that's another topic. We were discussing your new body." Her wings were larger then they had been, that meant the spot they had found before breaking up was... "Hmmm... larger hotspot, darlin?" Ruya "Huh?" She just looked at him in confusion. Hotspot? What was he talking about? She gave him a sidelong glance, he had to be talking about something sexual. But what? "I don't think friends discuss eachothers' bodies. I know Sunil and I don't." Silva "Oh, sorry darlin. I'm still learning how this just friends stuff works." He leaned back, not sounding very appologetic despite his words. "Hell, it's probably best we're just friends right now. I'd have to learn how to climb--" He stopped, drawing it out with an evil little smirk. "And making out would take longer, that's for sure... What with so much territory to cover." He fell back on his back, staring at the sky as he tried to cool off. Even the idea was getting him excited. This just friends idea? It sucked... seriously. Ruya Ruya fidgeted for a second, trying to make up her mind. She sighed and then moved, putting her arms on either side of him and looking down at him, leaning over him from the side. She bent down, so her face wasn't that far from his. "You wouldn't have to climb." She said quietly, blushing furiously. "If you were laying down like this." Silva "Mmm...." He purred, his natural inclinition battling with his plan. She was so close... and so... "No, darlin. You wanted just friends, I'm going to keep to that plan." He sighed, dissapointed with his own decision, but sticking to it. It was starting to work, after all. "Can't deny you of what you want, after all." Ruya Ruya sat back down and tossed her hair, not looking at him. Right, of course. The whole point of being friends was to see if she even liked Silva without the fooling around. "Of course." She said, calmer. "So, what have you been up to since you rescued me from the basement? Your chain in ok shape?" Silva ... damn. Didn't work. But he was patient. A few more weeks and she'd be complaining. He was already close to it. "Nothing much, darlin. Worked on my workout schedule, did some hunting, tried that ferret gliding thing." He smirked, the memory coming to his mind. He had played with that for an entire afternoon. "It's a blast, darlin, like flying, but without the work for the speed." "I'm thinking about finding a new hobby, too. Any suggestions?" Ruya She stifled the urge to suggest painting. She really wasn't sure that would be something Silva would enjoy. "You could always try reading," Ruya suggested with a grin. "There are a lot of good books out there." She didn't really see him sitting around for that either. What he needed was something active. "Or maybe you could try something musical?" Really she was at a loss as to what to tell him. Silva "I read--" He stopped, deciding that telling his ex-girlfriend about his stash of hentai manga wasn't the best idea. "Comics." He finished, shrugging. "Ice has a stash of them." "Music, huh? Think I could find a musical instrument in my size even if I wanted one?" He shrugged, thinking it through. He wasn't artistic, his idea of good music included men that had overdosed on drugs years before he had been created, and porn probably wasn't what she considered high-class reading material. "I dunno, darlin... I'll have to think about it." Ruya "Yeah, you need something more active." She said thoughtfully. She sighed and leaned back on her hands. "You could try surfing if you could figure out how to get feien sized waves. I saw a show about surfers on TV the other day." She looked over at him and smirked. "Some of them were pretty hot." Silva "... Surfing?" He repeated, blinking as he realized how good an idea that was. "Darlin that's genius!" "Hmmm... I'm going to need a surfboard, a pool and some way to make waves... Or maybe I could hit Ice up to try and make a miniature... Some sort of motor..." He went on, enthused with this idea, then pausing. "Think you can surf before it gets too bright, darlin? Or am I going to need sunglasses?" Ruya "I don't know. It seemed pretty sunny in all the footage they showed on TV. You'd look good in a pair of sunglasses though." She reached over and ran the back of her hand down his cheek, before pulling it back with a short laugh. "Sorry. I keep forgetting. It feels so natural to touch you." Silva He nodded, his body tingling slightly where she had touched him, but his mind still on the idea. "I'll have to get some wire and break Ice's old pair of sunglasses. She won't complain since she just bought a new pair..." He grinned, an honest grin of anticipation. "I think I could make this work, darlin. I really do. And here I was complaining when Ice took me to that damn Wall... something." He would need a blow-up kiddie pool, sand, and a fishtank pump... The water he could get from the house. "But how the hell am I going to get a feien sized surfboard?" Ruya "Since I doubt doll surfboards really have the correct shape, I think you might have to make one." Ruya smiled apologetically. "Or maybe a doll one would be close enough. I'm sure Ken has a surfboard." She was happy to be able to help him. Hanging out with Silva was actually pretty nice. Silva "Hmm..." He paused, thinking back to one of his trips through the door. The last guy... or second to last guy... he might have had a surfboard in the corner. Of course it was too big, but it would give him the shape... "I think I might be able to figure something out, darlin. I just need to... talk to a few people." He turned, looking at her. "You gonna watch, darlin? I'll even let you laugh when I drown the first few times." Ruya "Of course I'll watch if you'll let me." She smirked, deciding to push the friend thing again. "I'll even give you mouth to mouth if you need it." Silva He blinked, finally jerked from his plans and gave her a dark look. "I guess I could make an exception. But ONLY if I'm drownin, darlin. Can't have you taking advantage." He smirked. "But I should get goin. I've got a pair of sunglasses to break." Ruya Ruya snorted. "You're my friend Silva. I would never take advantage of you." She smiled sweetly and then waved her hand dismissively towards his house. "Be gone. Go and make your surfing dream come true." Silva "Oh... we'll see about that." He muttered, shoving himself to his feet with a wicked grin. "But I'll see what I can do. I'll make it work, too. I usually make things work." He looked at her, wanting to touch but restraining himself. "Thanks darlin, I owe you." Then he stepped back, disappearing into the shadows, save for the fact he was whistling an old Pink Floyd song as he went.

"I thought you hated this place." Ice said, heading through the crowd of Walmart, the small fairy sitting in the front pocket of her overalls. He didn't like the hiding from people rule, but he was willing to put up with it. "And you still haven't told me why you broke my sunglasses."
He grunted, scowling as he heard how loud the crowd around them was. "Just get to the pet section, would you? I want to set this up right."
"The surfing sim? Sure." She turned left, heading to one of the more quiet sections of the store and stopping in front of the fish things. "There's no one here, so you can come out."
He stood, stretching and looking around before heading for the fishtank motors. "I want something powerful..." He muttered, reading the sides of each box. Finally he hopped onto one of the larger boxes, nodding. "This one."
"Mommy! Mommy! I want a pet!!" The voice made both Ice and Silva turn, scowling at the sight of a little girl dragging her mother down the aisle. Silva grumpily headed back towards Ice, but too late. "Oooohhhh... I want HIM!" She cried, pointing at the fairy crawling up Ice's shirt.
"That's nice, d-- Oh my, how cute!" The mother said, making Ice blink and stutter a bit. "How much is it?"
"He's uh... Not for sale."
"Then do you think you could tell me where you got him? I've been promising my little Sallie a pet for a while now, and--"
"He's uh-- He's one of a kind. Sort of. And he's not--"
"I want him! I want him!! Get him for me, mommy!!" The little girl went on, tugging at her mother's shirt.
"Now, now, just let the grown-ups talk, sweetie. Are you sure you wouldn't be willing to--"
"I am NOT an IT, a toy, a pet, or anything that REMOTELY goes along with your ADHD little brat. And any feien that got bonded to that little s**t would no doubt slit its own throat. So why don't you do the world a favor and NOT have any more children." Silva said, coldly.
"Why I never!"
"And we all thank God for that fact, lady." Silva replied, making the woman flush brightly with rage.
"He talks, Mommy!! He TALKS!" The little girl exclaimed, almost bouncing where she stood.
"Look, maybe you should get your little girl something--"
"I HIGHLY doubt that YOU should be giving ME advice on what pet my child should have! If you can't even curb that savage... Savage BEAST! Then I highly doubt you would be able to understand--"
Ice turned, walking away even as the lady ranted on. But before she went she grabbed the box that Silva had chosen. If he wanted to surf then he damn well deserved to after having had to put up with that.
Of course... she was probably biased.
"Alright... a bag of sand..." Ice muttered, wondering where they could find something like that. "Salt wouldn't work... it would dissolve... I guess the sand that weighs down trucks..." She headed for the back of the store, already forgetting about the little girl. Silva wasn't so fortunate.
He grumbled under his breath, staying down in the large pocket and wishing he had picked a different place to find his surfing things. Human kids were more then he could handle. He blinked, thinking of something.
"The twerp doesn't act like that."
"That's because she's not spoiled." Ice replied, ignoring the fact that her talking to herself had caught the attention of people. "Here we go, weather equipping for trucks..." She nodded when she saw a small pile of bags filled with sand, grabbing one of the smaller ones and swinging it over her shoulder. "Shoulda got a cart..."
He grunted, not really paying attention. "Remind me never to have brats, would you, Ice?"
"Oh, your kids wouldn't be like that, babe. Yours would be meaner then s**t. But not spoiled." He snorted in reply. "Besides, they wouldn't try to buy you even if they were."
She was back at the front of the store, dragging a plastic kiddie pool to the counter when she noticed the lady and her child talking to a security officer. She groaned as the officer nodded and headed straight towards her.
"Ma'am, I'm going to need to ask you a few... questions." He said, looking amused for some reason. "Do you have a small flying object that makes rude remarks somewhere on your body?"
Ice blinked. "I've got... my cell phone." She offered, looking confused. "It's been known to make rude remarks, but I don't think it's ever flown..." She dug in her pocket, pulling out the phone and holding it out.
"That's what I thought." The officer said, shrugging. "It's not as if fairies actually exist. But you know how these high-stressed mothers tend to be. Sorry about taking up your time."
Ice grinned. "Yeah. I kinda figured." She turned, checking out and heading for the car, the pool hanging off her head like a hat, the bag of sand over her shoulder, and a snickering feien sitting in the front pocket of her overall shorts. Not that bad of a trip, all together.

9-17-04 Okay, I admit it. It's been a while since I've written in this book. I've never been very good about this kind of thing, I'm not that interested in writing down my deep thoughts and emotional baggage. That or I don't have any sweatdrop But let me take a crack at this. First off Silva decided to take up surfing. He forced me to go to Walmart and buy him a kiddie pool, a pump and some sand. So I say sure, why not? Only problem is when we got back to the house TB dropped Jade back off and Jad thought the pool was for her, and well... one thing led to another and now Jade is crying, Silva's pouting, and somehow the pool is sitting on top of the shed. So what do I do? I take an asprin and give Jade a plush to play with while I work up the nerve to go BACK to Walmart to buy a second pool so they can both be happy. The last time I went to Walmart a lady and her seriously annoying brat tried to buy Silva from me. THEN they yelled at me because he was a bit rude. Stupid people. They should find out what a pet is like before they try to buy one. But before that, since it's been so long since I wrote, Silva was dumped. Yes, hard to believe. Okay... maybe not THAT hard to believe. I mean, no matter how much of a hottie he is and promises to be, he still has that slight... attitude problem. But the kid's got some confusing ideas in the head of his, thinking he's like Snake... Ok... now I have to back up farther. I told you that I go from dimension to dimension making sure that things are all kosher, right? Well Snake is in one of those dimensions. He's a psychopath. No, really. I aced my Abnormal Psychology test by describing him for the question "Would a psychopath have a neat crime scene or a messy crime scene?" I guess in that case he came in handy. And Silva thought he was like Snake. *Snorts* Yeah, right. Killing rats isn't the same of killing a human being in cold blood. So I TOLD him that it wasn't and he didn't believe me. So I took him to someone that he IS kind of like, a guy named Boss. He's a perverted ex-killer, yes, but not a psychopath. I guess Boss must have rubbed off on him, since Boss is a surfer and now Silva is trying to learn how to surf. Did that make any sense? Oh well, it's not as if Silva reads this thing, anyways. The only thing he reads are comics. And I SWEAR he's figured out a way to get to his stash of hentai. He's just a kid! What does he need with that kind of--of stuff? And feiens don't even HAVE-- well, you get the picture. Or hopefully you don't, some of those pictures had me bright red for a good week. And I had had such high hopes for a literary critique partner. *Snorts* Maybe not for my more PWP moments, but hell, a girl can dream, can't she? I'm starting to think he's only a kid in body, though. He makes these comments every once in a while that no normal kid would know about, much less comprehend. It terrifies me sometimes. As a kid he can be tossed off as BSing people... but when he gets older he's probably going to make some serious enemies... or be more then most people can handle. Heck, who am I kidding? He already is. I've given up on dragging him to the shop. I figure if he wants friends he'll find them on his own... but I'm not sure he cares enough to even try. He isn't a psychopath. He would probably stop before he killed the other guy, but I never said he would CARE if the other guy died. That's why I'm worried about him being dumped... I was kind of hoping a relationship would keep him from being completely callous. I guess it wasn't meant to be...

Silva surveyed the pool with something close to satisfaction. It had taken another trip to that damn store, Going through the door to ask the white-haired guy if he could get a board made in his size, and a lot of hard work. The sand had weighed a ton, so he had wound up filling a plastic cup and dragging to and from the bag to the pool.
He needed to go back through the door to get his board, the man had said it might take a day or two for his board maker to get it done. And even though he had broke the sunglasses and found some wire he couldn't figure out how to make his sunglasses. The lenses kept popping out and they looked kind of stupid.
But the water was creating small waves against the sand thanks to the pump and that made him proud. He would have to get one of those umbrellas... the ones humans put in drinks like he had seen on TV. A movie called "Shrimp on the Barbie" to be precise.
And maybe a chair or something... He scowled, not knowing why he would even bother. It wasn't as if he was going to be sitting on the mini-beach. He would be too busy surfing.
He shrugged, looking over briefly at the little girl in the pool next to his, happily splashing around in the water, wearing those ridiculous looking water wings that Ice insisted on. The water wasn't even a foot deep, he didn't know why in the hell she bothered. It wasn't as if the kid would drown. Then he headed into the water of his own pool, practicing his swimming. At least it got him out of the sun.

Ice came out carrying a tray of drinks. She dropped down on the wooden chair between the two pools, placing the tray on the table beside her and leaning back. She pulled her sunglasses off her shirt, slipping them on and taking a drink of her sprite.
Silva surfaced, wiping the water off of his face and looking at her as he walked onto the beach. He grabbed the small scrap of towel Ice had left him and started drying off. "So hear anything about my board yet?"
"Not yet." Ice replied, reaching over and picking up his glass of cherry coke. She handed it over, watching as he gulped it down. "But I have hopes. How's the water?"
"Not bad."
Jade crawled out of her pool, walking over to the tray of drinks and grabbing her sippy. She crawled onto Ice's lap, not caring that she was soaking her, and looked over at Silva with a crooked smile. "Fairy likes to swim!" She said happily.
Silva scowled. She was trying to make friends again, since she had gotten her way. He shrugged, still angry at her for being such a brat, but unable to yell at her. He had a weakness for females... he was starting to realize it, and it didn't make him very happy.
"Fairy's mad at me..." Jade went on, looking strangely sad for such a happy little girl. "But it's okay now, we both have pools, right?"
"It's okay... he just needs a little time to cool off. Don't you, Silva?"
Silva grunted, tossing his cup to the side and turning his back on them and facing the water. He would forgive her... later. Just at the moment she had pissed him off something serious. And she needed to be punished.
He was about to dive back in when Ice spoke again, making him jerk. "You know, now that you have your own beach... I was thinking we might want to throw a little beach party. For your feien friends!"
He turned, looking at her incredulously. "My WHAT?"
"Your friends! You must know SOME other feien! What about that little one-- oh, wait... she dumped you..."
"That's not the point. What the point is is that you want a group of whiney, annoying bastards mucking up my sand and getting feathers in my water! Not to mention annoying me by their mere existance! This is MY beach!"
"And it wouldn't be but a few hours and it'll be YOUR beach again. C'mon. It's not like I'm dragging you to the shop again!"
"It's WORSE! You're dragging the SHOP to my beach!"
"Just a few feien. I swear!"
"...."
"We'll put on some rock music, have food and drinks and--"
"Cherries?"
"I've been looking EVERYWHERE, Babe. You know I have! Cherries are out of season."
"No cherries no beach party." He replied, looking smug.
"Fine. I'll find some." She muttered, secretly pleased with this decision. All she had to do was visit an alternate dimension that was still in its cherry season. But she wouldn't be telling him that, now would she?

The Beach PartyAftermath Ice sighed, stretching slightly as she was still waking up and moving to finish cleaning up the mess left on the back porch. She had gotten most of the mess the night before, but she figured she would check it over, make sure no one had left anything, or anyone. Silva had been crashed out on his tiger bed, snoring slightly when she had last seen him. The surfing was just as hard as his usual workout, but he still insisted on lifting on top of it. It made no sense to Ice, but she shrugged it off, figuring it was just his way of keeping himself entertained. Speaking of which, she thought, I'm going to have to move those comic books of his again... maybe someplace with a lock.He hadn't made any friends, though... well, unless you counted the one female who he had let fix his sunglasses. But she could almost swear that was the same feien she had watched him making out with a while back. The others had seemed to enjoy the party, the guardians munching and mingling, the feien doing pretty much the same, plus a little swimming. She frowned, wondering how many of the feien had actually known how to swim. For that matter she hadn't seen many adults in the group, just Aria and Ian that she could think of. And she had met Aria long before she had gotten Silva. She tossed the few scraps of sandwiches out for the birds and wiped her hands off on her shorts. But that was all right! It was the younger ones that needed to meet each other! Like Silva... problem was, he wasn't cooperating with that idea. "Don't do that to me again, Ice." The voice made her jerk, turning to see Silva sitting on the table eating a cherry. "Damn feiens are even more annoying en masse." "I thought they were very nice, myself. You didn't seem to mind the female that watched you surf..." He shrugged, his mouth full of cherry, his legs kicking slightly. "Moving in on an adult?" "She wasn't an adult when I moved in on her." He replied, smirking slightly. "But that wouldn't have stopped me even if she had been." Ice choked, then started laughing at his smug look. "You are something else, mister. I'm surprised such a large ego can fit in such a small package." He snorted, shrugging. "It's not ego, it's just telling the facts." She snorted, moving to pour out Jade's pool into the grass and rinse it out. "Jade was on her best behavior for you, babe." He snorted, taking another bite before speaking. "And I care... why?" "Because she loves you?" "Whatever." "She wants you to forgive her for trying to steal your pool. Of course, you're the one that tossed the pool onto the roof, but she doesn't hold grudges." "..." He scowled, noticing the little girl standing in the door, still wearing her PJ's, the plushie that Ice had made of him clutched in her arms. She was watching him with big green eyes and the beginning of a pout on her face. "Whatever." The green eyes filled with tears, making him groan as the little girl sniffled slightly. "Okay, okay! I... forgive--" He stopped, blinking and cursing as the little girl rushed over and hugged him tightly. He twitched, thankful that she wasn't strong enough to crush him yet. He looked over at Ice, glaring. "You'll pay for that." Ice laughed.

Ice sat back against her bed's backboard, Jade at her side looking at the pictures in Ice's book. Silva stood on the windowsill, lifting his weights and idly watching the backyard as he listened to Ice read to Jade. A story about a wolf and a girl in red. The girl sounded like an idiot to him.
"Oh grandma! What big eyes you have!!" Ice said, making the little girl giggle. "The better to see you with, my lovely." She went on, pitching her voice low and menacingly. "Oh Grandma! What big teeth you have!" Ice went on. "Then the wolf laughed, and ate the little girl up!"
Jade let out a happy little squeal as Ice started tickling her. She had obviously heard the story before. Finally Ice pulled back, turning the page and showing the woodsman coming to save the little girl and her grandmother from the wolf. "And they lived happily ever after." She finished, grinning broadly.
"All except the wolf." Silva drawled out, earning a dirty look from Ice. "What? I'm just stating a fact. Can't live happily ever after with your head chopped off, now can you?" He stopped, the word "Wolf" triggering a memory in the back of his mind.
Ignorant of his thoughts Ice went on. "The wolf was the bad guy! He ate little red and her grandmother!"
"Gotta eat to survive." Silva replied, shrugging.
"We'll discuss this later." Ice replied, looking at the large-eyed girl next to her. "It's time for Jade's nap, isn't it, Jade?"
Jade nodded, her somber look disappearing into a sleepy yawn as she curled up on Ice's bed and went to sleep. Ice looked over at Silva, expecting him to start the argument up again, but blinking at the sight of him turned towards the backyard, jumproping this time.
She sighed and left the room, wanting to clean up the front room since it was cluttered with toys again. Thankfully she didn't have "McGruff Duty" until that afternoon.
"Wolf..." Silva muttered, stopping his jumping for a few seconds and grabbing the pair of sunglasses from the corner. The sound of the man's screaming echoed in his ears as if it had happened just the other day. Snake had said the one that killed him had been named... Wolf.
He perched the sunglasses on his head, not willing to pull them down until he reached the pool. He blinked at the sight of Ice sitting on the porch reading her "Gold Diggers" graphic novel instead of cleaning.
"I gave up." Ice said, looking up with a sheepish grin. "She'll just drag them out again as soon as she wakes up." She paused, blinking at the sunglasses. "You got them to work?"
"A... friend did." He muttered.
"Did you thank her?"
"..."
"You are SUCH a punk sometimes. Let me guess, she lives somewhere near here? The adult that you were hitting on earlier?"
"Might be."
"Where does she live?" She demanded, following his eyes as he glanced automatically. "Well you're going to thank her, or I'm going to drag you over there and FORCE you to thank her."
He snorted. "Whatever." He said, still stuck on the Wolf thing. DID the wolf deserve to be killed? Just for following his instinct?
He scowled, not able to answer that question at all.

9-30-04 I don't know why I even bother... seriously. I threw him a pool party, thinking he might meet some people, make some friends. *snort* Fat lot of good THAT did. If anything I think most of the other feien were avoiding him! He must have a certain... aura about him. Okay, he does. He can be kind of scary, I guess. Maybe when you're three or four inches tall a guy like that is a person you want to avoid. Next thing you know he'll be wanting tattoos and riding a harley. ...Nah. Maybe a leather trench and a weapon of mass distruction. I could see him going for that... I still haven't been able to force him to go thank the girl that fixed his glasses. He says it's none of my business (but less politely) and that he'll thank her when he damn well feels like it. (Which could be never.) And personally I'm going to be busy for a while. I've got a new twist on an old world that I've been supervising and it's calling for my complete attention. Yeah, I said I was going to retire so I could dedicate my time to my feien, but, honestly, I don't think Silva WANTS me to dedicate my time to him. He can get away with a heck of a lot more when I'm distracted. I wonder what he would think if he knew I was already wondering what kind of father he would make. Probably not very happy, but he's already got a girl! And he does really well with Jade, surprisingly well, actually. I think he has a weakness for females, but don't tell him I said that, he likes to think he's tough. But I would like to have another feien around some time. I think it would be good for Silva. I suppose I could see if I could get ahold of another bloom, but honestly, I'm not sure Silva would take to that idea. Especially if it turned out to be a male. I wonder what he would do to another male... something tells me I don't want to know. But if the feien was related to him, even if it was a boy, maybe he would be kinder. Okay, so I might be reaching. But a girl can dream, can't she?

"It's your summonday!!" Ice called, entering the room with a cupcake. "Well, technically it's not, but since last month didn't have a 31st we're going to celebrate today!" Silva looked up from where he was throwing rocks through his plastic circle, and raised one eyebrow. "I thought you were out of town." "Well, I was, but I still check in here! Besides, I bet you've done nothing entertaining since I left. You should be thankful I'm back! Besides, your cupcake is cherry flavored." He watched as she dropped it down on a small plate in front of him, blinking as he realized the cupcake came up to his chest. "I got one for Jade, too. She's in the other room making a mess." "Huh." He shrugged, reaching out and taking a handful of the frosting. "Too sweet." But he kept licking, then broke off a piece of the cake. And I found you some new friends." Ice went on, turning and picking up a small box. "No." "But you haven't even met them!" "I said no, I meant no. Now take the box back to wherever you got it." He muttered darkly, chewing on his toothpick angrily. "I can't. I found them under a bush." She opened the box, revealing three small males. One looked a little like a wolf, another looked like a skunk, and the third looked like a butterfly. They were sound asleep, curled up in their own corners, although the butterfly one looked a little worse for wear. Silva didn't even notice Sonnet going up on her hind legs to look into the box as well. "Three male brats for me to put up with. Hell of a summon day gift, Ice." "They were cute?" She offered, grinning sheepishly. "Although I don't think the wolf and the skunk get along very well with the--" "You've got to save me!!" The butterfly announced, waking up abruptly. "They're gonna kill me! Nick said he was gonna rip off my wi-ings!!" The "sleeping" wolf snorted, catching Silva's attention. Then he noticed the butterfly boy was fluttering around his head. "You do that often?" "Wh-what?" "Never mind." He muttered, turning to glare at Ice. "You brought me an ADHD butterfly that can talk." "Isn't he cute?" "Which one's Nick?" Silva asked the annoyance, motioning towards the box. He tried not to laugh as he noticed Sonnet crouching down, her eyes firmly on the butterfly. "Nick's the wolf. Nack's the skunk. They don't much like each other, but they HATE me. And-and I have been nothing but NICE to them! I don't know why-AHH!!" He slammed to the floor, Sonnet standing over him, her tongue lolling happily. The two in the box started laughing their tails off. "Sh-sh-she's going to EAT me!" The butterfly cried. Ice reached over, gently picking Sonnet off of him and giving the wolf a look. "No eating butterflies. They tend to be poisonous." Ice said firmly, earning a tail wag. She put Sonnet down, a good distance away from the butterfly boy. "B-but don't you want to know my name?" The butterfly asked, looking at Silva again. The tall feien looked like he would be a good protector. He could stop the other two from picking on him! "Nope." "But--" "You're getting a new home." Silva muttered, wondering who he hated enough to saddle with the annoying little b*****d. Then he snorted. Ruya might think he was cute. If not, he could always feed him to Sonnet. "Yeah!!" Nick called, jumping up. "I TOLD you no one would want you!" He said, pointing at the butterfly. "He obviously doesn't." "Don't particularly want you two, either, so don't get your hopes up." Silva drawled, making Ice sigh. "Fine. We don't need YOU, either." Nack said, standing and glaring darkly at Silva. "C'mon, Nick." "But--" Nick said, wanting to protest. "I'm hungry! And look at the SIZE of that thing!" He pointed at the cupcake, drooling. Silva acowled, looking at the two still in the box. He could give them away... but that would be seen as doing something nice. The butterfly would HAVE to go. Or he would wind up slitting it's throat... but the two-- The two were brawling by that time, beating the living crap out of each other over the cupcake problem. With a sigh he hopped the side of the box and pulled them apart, dangling them by the nape of their necks. He looked at the wolf. "You want some of that?" "Yeeeahh..." "Then you two are going to work for me. And before you start bitching--" He said, pulling the skunk up to eye level. "Your job is going to be trying to beat the living hell out of me. Note the word TRY." "What's the downside?" Nack asked cynically. "I get to beat the crap out of you in return." "You're bigger then us." "There's two of you. Jump me from behind or something--" He blinked, rolling his eyes as he realized the wolf wasn't even listening. "Alright. It's a deal." Nack muttered. Silva let them go, watching as they raced towards the cupcake. "Do I get any?" The butterfly asked, looking close to tears. "You want to fight me?" "N-n-no." "Then shut the hell up."

((Compilation & Formatting thanks to Kam^_^))Neighbors Ice & Silva Silva scowled, not even bothering to get loose as Ice headed for the door of Ruya's house. She had consistantly insisted on him saying thank you. So what if he hadn't said thanks? It wasn't as if she had even noticed. Had he said thanks? He couldn't remember. He turned in Ice's hold, looking at the butterfly fluttering around them with disgust. Damn but he hoped Ruya wanted him. He didn't want to put up with the little s**t any longer then he absolutely had to. "Alright. You're going to be polite and say thank you for the sunglasses." Ice told him as she knocked on the door. "Are you going to give her the butterfly?" "It's self preservation." He muttered, rolling his eyes as the bug got distracted by a flower. "Just don't tell her that." Ice replied, turning patiently towards the door. Kam & Ruya The door opened slowly, not too long after Ice knocked on it. Kam stood in the doorway, Iqbal hefted on one hip. The toodler ceased his screaming into Kam's ear just long enough to look at Ice and begin screaming all over again in her direction. "Nap time," Kam said apologetically, surprised to have visitors at her door. "Can I help you?" As soon as she spotted Silva, she realized this probably had something to do with her feien. Ice & Silva "Ahh, I know how it is. My little girl just went down for hers. Um... I'm Ice, I live in the house over there." Ice said, pointing with her free hand. "And Silva's my feien. He uh... has something to say to one of yours." At least she hoped it was one of hers. If not then she would have to hunt down yet ANOTHER person and do the whole speech over again. "Say hello, Silva." Silva scowled, propping his elbow on the top part of the hand holding him, then propping his chin on his hand. If anything, he looked bored. "Ruya here?" He finally asked, looking at the kid and twitching slightly as his sensitive hearing protested the crying. Kam & Ruya Kam followed Ice's pointing absently, studying the house she referred to. Iqbal took the moment of distraction to make grabby hands at Silva. His arms were much to short to get even close, but Kam scowled anyway. "Ruya? Yes, of course. If you'd like to come in," she stepped back from the door and motioning at the living room to her right. "I'll just go put cranky up for his nap and get Ruya." Kam started up the stairs behind her as soon as possible, leaving Ice to shut the door behind her. Iqbal was actually on rather good behavior at the moment and Kam wanted to get him in his crib before he really got cranky. Ice & Silva Ice turned, calling for the butterfly before entering the house and closing the door behind her. She looked around then headed into the living room, dropping down on the couch. "If you promise not to skip out then I'll let you go." She said to Silva. "Sure, whatever." He muttered, dropping down from where she was holding him and walking to the edge of the couch. "Dammit, Ice, don't you think I'm old enough to do this on my own?" "Old enough, yeah, nice enough? Well I'm not so sure." "You're lying." He said, finally realizing something. "This is just an excuse to meet Ruya and her bondmate, isn't it? What, going to trade training tips for your pet feiens?" "Actually I was just coming to see if she had a miniature whip that I could borrow. Put you through your paces." She replied, making him bite back a laugh. The butterfly, on the other hand, looked horrified. "You wouldn't REALLY whip him, would you? That would be--" He stopped, flushing as they both started laughing at him. Kam & Ruya Kam wandered back downstairs in a bit, Ruya perched on one shoulder. As they reached the bottom of the steps, Ruya took off and made her way over to set down near Silva. "Hello Ice," she said politely. She studied the butterfly child with a raised eyebrow before remarking to Silva skeptically, "New friend?" Kam walked over with a friendly grin and settled into a yellow armchair by the couch before leaping back up. "Did anyone want anything to drink? A snack? I just made oatmeal butterscotch cookies this morning." Ice & Silva "Hi, Ruya! Silva has something to say to you, don't you Silva?" Ice said, then turned to Kam. "I love cookies! Do you need some help? Like... with cookie dough or something?" Silva turned, scowling evilly at Ice before turning back to Ruya. "He's not a friend, he's a--" He bit back the many descriptions that jumped to mind. "Gift." He finished, scowling as the butterfly divebombed for Ruya, grabbing onto her. "Save me? They keep talking about ripping off my wi-ings!!" The butterfly said, looking up at her with tear-filled eyes. "I'll be a good pet, I swear!" "Giddoff her." Silva muttered, violence in his eyes. Kam & Ruya Kam started to say no, but then glanced at Ruya and Silva. Something sunk in and her eyes widened a little. She nodded to Ice. "Sure. I'd love some help." Then she turned and made her way through the doorway to the kitchen on the back of the first floor. Ruya curled her arms protectively around the little butterfly kid and scowled at Silva. "No one is going to rip off your wings." She sighed at Silva. "Did you really need to frighten him half to death?" She looked at the butterfly questioningly. "What's your name?" Ice & Silva "That sounds great!" Ice said, getting up to follow the other female. If Silva did anything TOO wrong she would hopefully notice it from a room so close. "My name is Flutter." The butterfly replied, curling closer even as Silva pulled off his chain. "I wasn't the one threatening his wings. But I'm starting to think I should have let them." Silva replied, focused on the little s**t wrapped around his girl. "And who in the hell names their kid FLUTTER? It's no WONDER the guys tried to--" He stopped, remembering his decision to use this to his advantage with Ruya. Something told him threatening to kill the little b*****d wouldn't leave a good impression. Kam & Ruya Once in the kitchen, Kam turned on the oven and bent down to pull a cookie sheet out from underneath. "There should be a container of frozen cookie dough in the freezer." She said, her voice partially muffled by the fact she had her head in the cupboard. "On the opposite side from the fish." She lifted and arm to guesture behind her to the opposite side of the kitchen where the refridgerator stood next to the basement door. "I think that Flutter is a very appropriate name." Ruya said carefully, gently prying the little guy off her. She sat down on the couch, feeling odd with the new height advantage she had on Silva, and sat the kid in her lap. "Anyway Silva, Ica said you had something to tell me?" While she had a good idea of the sort of person Silva was, it still pissed her off that he had allowed Flutter to be threatened. As a consequence, her voice was polite, but remote. Ice & Silva "Got it!" Ice said, pulling out the cookie dough. "Man, I wish I had had help like this with the last feien party I threw. Silva didn't really... care. So I wound up doing everything by myself." She put the container on the counter, prying the lid off. Silva scowled, then shrugged it off. "I need to say thank you. For the sunglasses. Guess I must have forgotten. And I brought you... Flutter... because the wolf and the skunk boy keep trying to kill him. I can't keep an eye on them all the time, you know. So I figured you would--" Be sucker enough to think he was cute? No... "Save him for me." He finished. "Just keep him from the basement and the dragon and things should be fine." He looked over at Flutter. "This is for your own good, kid." Kam & Ruya "You had a feien party? Nobody tells me anything." Kam pulled her head out of the cupboard, putting the cookie sheet up onto the top of the stove. "Spoons are in the drawer by your left hand." Ruya smiled at Silva. "You're welcome, even if you didn't want to thank me." She chuckled, ruffling Flutter's hair. "And I can take Flutter." Flutter blinked at Silva and scooted around to face Ruya. "Dra- dragon?" Ruya nodded absently, not bothering to comfort the poor kid. He'd have to learn to live in the house with everyone else. Ice & Silva "I left a note up at the shop. Silva never told me there was a feien owner in the house behind us, or I would have told you." Ice said, digging out the spoons. "So... Are we going to cook this...?" She asked, looking at the dough. "I didn't remember if I did or not, darlin. Didn't want to be redundant." He scowled, looking around as he felt jealousy welling up. "So... done anything interesting lately?" Just friends... just friends... killing a gift that you give a friend for sitting in her lap would be rude, he told himself, snorting at the thought. Kam & Ruya Kam reached for a spoon and then stood still for a moment thoughtfully. "Well, it has fake eggs, so we could eat it. I just wanted spoons so we could scoop it into cookie sized lumps onto the cookie sheet." Without any sort of pause, she continued onto the other subject they were discussing. "I didn't mean you. I meant Ruya. I'm sure she or Sunil knew about the party, but neither of them told me." Ice & Silva "I'm uh... not sure Silva told them. Actually, I don't think he told anyone." Ice replied, heading for the sink to wash her hands. "He's not the most polite feien around, I'm sorry to say." Kam & Ruya ((*didn't post Ruya's part for some reason* x_X Sorry. )) Kam paused and then walked over to follow suit after Ice was finished. Her hands were probably clean, but it wouldn't hurt to make sure. "You threw a party for him, but he didn't tell anyone? Not very social?" Ruya moved Flutter out of her lap, feeling a little warm. She watched Silva a little before replying. Had she done anything interesting lately? Not really. "I went to the shop. Saw Neruo, one of the feien I met at your party, and a few others. Other than that I have simply been taking it easy." She shrugged. "What have you been up to?" Ice & Silva "Well, Silva is..." Ice started, out, looking thoughtful as she moved to the cookie dough to start scooping. "He's a hard person to get along with, sometimes. He's stubborn and arrogant, and he goes straight for the throat when he feels threatened. Verbally, that is. Although he could probably pull off physically as well." She paused, looking down at the cookie dough. "But he's basically honest, and he's strong, and stable, and would risk his life for someone he cares for. He's so good with my four year old. You wouldn't think it to look at him, but--" She flushed, startled that she was talking to a stranger about this. "He just doesn't have much use for other feien, I guess. He prefers to be alone. Or with the girl we came to see." Silva shrugged, not really having much to say. "Working out, got the twerps for my summon day. Kept two as sparring partners, giving you this one. Nothing much." Kam & Ruya Kam nodded, now washing her own hands. She absorbed what Ice had to say about Silva, turning it over in her own head. "It sounds like you really care about him." Kam turned off the water and dried her hands. "I don't know my feien that well." She didn't sound particularly sorry. "Sunil was my first feien and she was always so difficult, that I've sorta left Ruya to her own devices as well. I probably should pay more attention to them," she sighed, "Especially since it appears Ruya has a boyfriend." Ruya nodded, he had been up to about as much as she had been. She watched him a little, the way his muscles moved under his skin. "You look good." She blushed a little, thinking that thought through. "I feel bad for the two you kept, having to fight you." Flutter snuggled up to Ruya's side, spooked at the mention of the other two "twerps". Ice & Silva "I guess I'm kind of overprotective." Ice replied, giving Kam a crooked grin. "He's difficult, but not overly so. I've run into people that are a lot more." "But I don't think he's her boyfriend." She went on, focusing on her cookie dough placement. "I believe she dumped him a few weeks ago." Silva snorted, amused for the first time since getting there. "You'd have to meet them before you could say something like that. Beisdes, I gave them permission to launch sneak attacks. It should be entertaining." He paused, smirking a little more. "The wolf is all stomach, the skunk is all brain. And both of them can be meaner then s**t if the kid was telling the truth." Kam & Ruya "I see." Kam dipped a spoon into the cookie dough, getting a nice cookie sized amount. "Do you know why?" Ruya gave Silva an odd look before snaking an arm around Flutter so she could hold him. "Sounds... fun? I don't really think having my pets randomly attack me at will would be my idea of a good time, but I'm glad you're happy." She looked down at Flutter where he was now dozing by her side. "I'm just glad it doesn't seem like you're latest gift will cause quite the trouble the last one has." Ice & Silva "Actually... no. I'm not sure he ever told me." Ice replied, sitting back for a second as she thought. "I mean, I've got some ideas about WHY, but nothing solid." Silva was still grinning slightly, anticipation hitting him again. "It gets boring just working out, darlin. I need a little... variety in my diet." An evil idea flashed through his head, then stuck there, making him go silent. Kam & Ruya Kam eyed a new spoonful of dough before popping a piece in her mouth. She had to make sure it was still tasty, right? "Ah, I just thought they looked very familiar with eachother. Even though she is quite a bit larger than him now." Did feien do the sort of things people did in relationships? That was a worrying thought and Kam scowled to herself. Ruya nodded at Silva, smiling a little herself. When he stopped, she prompted him to voice whatever he was thinking. "What are you thinking?" Ice & Silva "I don't believe her size bothers him much..." Ice said tactfully, scooping out her own bite of cookie dough. She snickered slightly as she remembered the conversation she had had with him about older feien. "Actually... more like not at all. If I didn't know better I would think he uh... enjoyed that fact." "Thinking? Oh, nothing much. Just about variety. Maybe those parties of Ice's aren't that bad an idea." He leaned back, watching her through lowered lashes. "Maybe a little variaty is a good thing im nore then just exercise." He stopped, rubbing it in a little more. "How's Neruo these days, darlin?" Kam & Ruya "Oh." That only served to worry her more. Seriously, what was her feien up to? "Do feien... uh... do they have any sort of mating behaviors? I mean, Sunil never seemed to have any interest any of the other feien, so I never worried about it." Ruya blinked, seeing where this was going. Just knowing where it was going didn't help her understand the motive behind it at all however. "He seemed fine when I saw him last. He asked me about you." She shrugged, looking at him only out of the corner of her eye. "He never comes over to visit anymore." She briefly debated saying more, but without a clue as to what Silva's aim was she wasn't going to admit anything. Ice & Silva "Mating behaviors?" Ice repeated, looking blank. "I've only got Silva, so I couldn't really say what feien do for mating. But I saw something up at the shop about breeding, so I assume they have some sort of courtship." "But honestly, I can't see Silva doing some silly dance..." Silva blinked, his surprise at her words only showing for a second. The orange boy had skipped out? Could it have been because of the-- He stopped, shrugging it off. "You told the kid we were just friends, didn't you? Wouldn't want him to think I would attack if he moved in on you." "We're both free to do what we want, after all." He stated, wondering if he was trying to reassure her or screw with her head. Even he wasn't sure about that one. Kam & Ruya Oh dear. Breeding. She'd have to go to the shop then, figure out what that meant in terms of having to talk to Ruya. "Ah no. I can't either actually and I really haven't seen very much of him." Kam dropped another cookie onto the sheet, filling it. "Alright, into the oven we go." She picked up the sheet, stuck into the oven, and set the timer. "He asked if he was the last to know I had grown into an adult. The current status of the relationship between you and I never came up." Ruya slid one leg out from where it was bent in towards her and stretched it, flexing her foot. She stared down at it for a moment thoughtfully, before speaking again. "And we aren't really completely free to do what we want, since we're just friends." Ice & Silva "It would be worth a lot in blackmail if he did, though." Ice replied, looking thoughtful in an evil way. She took another scoop of cookie dough, eating as she thought. "You know... with our yards the way they are, and the gate... we could throw a sweet party..." She stopped, shrugging slightly. "Course, I don't want to push you into anything. We just met, after all." "Now darlin, I don't see how being friends keeps us from looking around. Hell, if you wanted we could look together. Maybe throw another party, see what kind of... variety there is to offer." He was giving her what she wanted, after all. And in his mind being friends meant hanging out with someone but being able to date someone else. Or someones. Kam & Ruya Kam raised her eyebrows at that. A party? Could be fun. And then she wouldn't be out of the loop anymore. It would be the perfect opportunity to spy on Sunil and Ruya. "A party sounds like fun." She grinned. "But what sort of party? I haven't planned a party since... well, never really." Ruya shook her head at Silva. "I don't want to look around. Nor do I want to watch you look around." She shrugged, her demeanor saying that she was just stating the facts. Ice & Silva "Well, I did a beach party, but it's getting too cold to swim... Something fall-ish, you know? Festive. I don't know..." she stopped, remembering all the Ranma that she had read. "How about one of those Japanese festivals? With the games and the fish catching and the lanterns? I know a place we could get the lanterns pretty cheap..." Silva turned before she could see his slight smirk. She still hadn't figured out his point. She HAD been looking around, after all. But now that the orange boy had stopped showing up she had decided she didn't want either of them looking around. But she was the one that had wanted to be just friends. "Thats fine, darlin. I can go alone." He kicked his feet up, leaning back on his arms and stretching slightly. "I'm two months old now, darlin. I might be changing in a month or so." Kam & Ruya "Oh!" Kam clapped her hands together. "That sounds like a wonderful idea! I can make sushi too for snacks." She jumped a little as the buzzer went off, already wondering where she could get goldfish that wouldn't be too heavy for a feien to catch. Ruya nodded to Silva's statement about going alone. As long as she didn't have to see or hear about it, it was fine with her. "It will be interesting to see what you look like as an adult." Ruya mused, tapping her chin with one finger. "I wonder if you'll have any mutations." Ice & Silva "I've got the pools already, we could get some of those small fish, the neon tetra? I think that's what they're called. and we could have some sort of games..." Ice stopped, thinking for a bit. "We'd need prizes though..." He smirked, the thought of being an adult pleasing him. "Mutations? Like the fangs?" Kam & Ruya "Ah, tetras. Good call." Kam grabbed an oven mitt and bent over to get the finished cookies out of the oven. "Prizes. I wonder what sort of prizes feien would like? Maybe just like little charms or something to go along with the theme?" "Yes, like the fangs." Ruya ran a hand through her hair before tucking it back behind her ears again. "Although that would be a little creepy if you got fangs. I'd be afraid you'd actually use them." Ice & Silva "Well... I can probably get the fish if you want to do the charms." Ice replied, waiting for the cookies to cool down enough to touch. "The last party turned out pretty big, actually. I think there were over a dozen feien hanging around. But I didn't bother to count. I think I'll get two dozen fish, just in case." "Afraid I'll bite, darlin?" He almost laughed, amused by the idea of a vampire feien. "Suck people's blood? But that would mean dealing with them on a regular basis. Not my idea of entertainment." Kam & Ruya "I can do charms." Kam picked up a hot cookie, tossing it from hand to hand. "When should we have ithe party?" "I am." Ruya confirmed. "Fangs would certainly help take a chunk out of anyone you fought. And you deal with me on a semi-regular basis, so I don't get why you seem not to want to deal with other feien." Ice & Silva "Well we'll need to get the stuff ready and maybe invites, though leaving a note in the store actually worked pretty well..." She stopped, shrugging. "Say a week?" "As a group they seem to be a bunch of idiots, darlin. You saw the guy almost drowning himself. Then there was Neruo and his--" He stopped, scowling. "I'd rather not deal with them if I don't have to. Especially en masse." "And you're right. They would come handy in a fight. If you didn't mind the taste of idiots." Kam & Ruya "I'm actually going to be out of town this upcoming weekend. Visiting the parents." Kam smiled regretfully. "Perhaps the weekend after that?" Ruya shrugged, although she didn't really agree. "I think you're perhaps a bit harsh in your assessment of the others. I'd hate to hear what you really think of me." Ice & Silva "That'll work!" Ice said, grabbing a cookie. "I wonder how the kid's are doing... I haven't heard anything breaking or any screaming so either they've gotten along... or they've killed each other. And I was planning on making Silva run some of the booths..." "I admit, some of them might come in handy... Like the bleach boy. He seemed to know alot. But hell, darlin, you show me a large group of feien that are useful and I'll eat my... words. But not one of them can do something stupid, say something retarded or not know something simple. Like the meaning of their name." He was enjoying this, a smirk playing on his lips as he watched for her to get offended. Something about an irritated Ruya just... got to him. Kam & Ruya "I assume they're alright. Ruya is pretty low-key. Sunil is the feien to watch out for in this household." She bit into the cookie she had been tossing back and forth. Ruya sighed, annoyed, and then calmly spoke. "Are you trying to tell me you've never done anything stupid?" She raised one eyebrow at him, daring him to say he hadn't. Ice & Silva "I don't believe I've met Sunil..." Ice said, looking thoughtful. "I wonder if Silva has..." "Knowingly or unknowingly?" He asked, leaning back and chewing on his toothpick. "A lot of people would consider going through the door stupid, but hell, I knew that before I did it. I just didn't care." Kam & Ruya "Probably not," Kam said quickly, "She isn't very social. I'd introduce her, but she seems to be missing again." "It doesn't matter. You've done something stupid." Ruya frowned. "You shouldn't be so quick to judge others for faults you also have." Ice & Silva "Missing, huh? Well, I hope you don't have an inter-dimensional closet like I do..." Ice blinked, realizing how strange that sounded. "Um... not that you would, I mean--" She grabbed a cookie, shoving it into her mouth. She gulped. "Huh... I wonder how much Tetras cost by the dozen..." "There's a difference between deliberate stupidity and plain stupidity." He said stubbornly. "One means you're aware that you're doing something stupid and could avoid it if you felt like it. I just didn't feel like it." Kam & Ruya Kam blinked a couple times before replying. "Oh no... I don't. She isn't there yet, but she'll be in Greece soon. I saw it last night." She didn't even seem to think that was an odd thing to say and quietly continued munching on her cookie. "So what are other dimensions like?" "They're both stupidity," Ruya pointed out. "Playing with different categories to make yourself seem superior is just pointless." She paused and then gave a derisive sniff. "But if you're insecure I suppose I can let you have your illusions." Ice & Silva "Well, depends on which dimension you go to..." Ice said, relaxing as she realized she wasn't being considered a mental patient. "I'm actually rather fond of one that's further advanced then we are, complete with space exploring trips. Kinda like space cruises." "If that's what you want to think, darlin. I guess extreme sports would be stupidity to you, too." He examined his toothpick, idly wondering if she was getting so judgemental because she hadn't had a good snog in a while. Then he snorted, dismissing the idea. She had probably been like this when they were making out, just hadn't had the opportunity to talk. Kam & Ruya "Sounds nice." Kam said mildly, mulling over the idea of space travel. "There are risk reward trade-offs. I'm sure the rush involved makes the risk worth it." Ruya settled back, trying to back off. The last thing she wanted to do was make Silva think she didn't want him around. Ice & Silva "It's not bad. The scenery is nice, but it can make you a little sick if you're looking at it while reading..." Ice snorted, remembering a few times that had happened to her. "And you have to deal with some strange cultures sometimes. I know this planet which gets high on a regular basis. They have these huge beach parties for their mating ceremonies with a dance that the tourists can go see." "The rush is nice." He agreed, relaxing slightly. "Not much can equal the rush..." He went silent, thinking of what else gave him a rush. Kam & Ruya "Huh." That stumped Kam, robbing her of words. "Interesting." "Whatcha thinking?" Ruya raised an eyebrow at Silva. Ice & Silva "I'll have to show you sometime. I've honestly thought about renting out the door for vacations, but I'd have to make sure they didn't go places that would get them killed..." Silva shrugged, not feeling the urge to answer truthfully. "About the rush, darlin. Kinda like surfing, or going to the jungle. Adrenaline is a very good thing." Kam & Ruya "Get them killed?" Kam's eyes widened. "Does it go both ways?" "Agreed." Ruya nodded. "Working out in the morning always makes me more energetic for the rest of the day." She smiled up at him. "I miss you coming over Silva." Ice & Silva "Not if the door is closed." Ice replied, shrugging the question off. "Of course, I always close it behind me. I mean it's not that hard to re-open... for me, that is." But for Silva... well that was another subject. "I'm around, darlin. But I think you're right. Maybe I should go see if I'm wrong about the feien race." He shrugged, game for reaffirming his beliefs. It shouldn't take too long. Kam & Ruya "Can people from the other side - " Kam was interrupted by a loud squawling from a baby monitor out in the living room which had thus far been silent. She smiled at Ice apologetically, before starting back towards the stairs. "I think naptime may be over." Ruya crossed her arms over her chest and studied Silva for a second. "Around, huh? I see." She grimaced as the baby monitor squawled and looked up as Kam came walking back out from the kitchen. Ice & Silva "Jade!" Ice said, finally remembering her own little one. "You're right. We really should get going." She followed the other female, looking over at Silva. "Time to leave, babe. Did you tell her?" "I did." He muttered, motioning to the sleeping butterfly boy with his toothpick. "Gave her the annoy-- Gave her the brat, too." He vaulted onto the offered hand and climbed to her shoulder, looking down at Ruya for a few seconds before speaking. "I'll be around." He said, turning and leaning against Ice's neck. "Bye!" Ice called to the house at large before heading out the door. "Man I hope she hasn't ransacked the kitchen again..." "Yeah, right." Silva said, snorting. "Like she would pass up the chance."
