LOOK WHAT is fornt page in the newspaper today! -reads out newspaper-
WE WANT HARRY
Why must UAE wait six weeks longer than the US?
Harry Potter fans awaiting the UAE release of "The Goblet of Fire" face a further three-week wait before the blockbuster hits the screens. Middle East distributors of the movie, the fourth in the Harry Potter series and which has grossed more than $330m worldwide since its debut in the US on November 18, say they have been told by Warner Brothers, to delay the UAE release until December 28. Shooting Stars, the film's UAE distributor, said the UAE release was being timed to coincide with the New Year and the Eid Al Adha holiday - a full six weeks after the movie's US premiere. Marketing manager Gianluca Charcra told 7DAYS last night that Warner Brothers wanted to release King Kong on December 14 - and did not want two of its major movie releases clashing. So the Harry Potter film was pushed back to December 28. Bla bla bla. "We would have loved to release it the day after it was released in the US, but it's the studio's decision not ours," Mr Chacra said. The film was delayed to avoid clashing with Universal studio's blockbuster, King Kong, which is due to open here on December 14th. "Warner Brother's policy have always been to allow a two-week window between two major releases to avoid competition," he added. Opening in some Asian and East European markets will also be delayed leaving fans scrambling for sneak preciews. Last night one 11-year-old Harry Potter fan from Dubai told 7DAYS: "Who cares about King Kong? Everyone's waiting for the new Harry Potter. It's going to be the biggest flim of the year and it's just silly that we can't see it before Christmas."
I can't believe I copied the whole thing.

That's dumb... I mean, I can understand waiting for when it will make the most money, butpushing it back for a movie that came out later in the the US... that's just rude... stare
I would consider not seeing King Kong in protest... but I absolutely love Peter Jackson... and it wasn't necissaraly his fault... sweatdrop
