Mickey jumped out of the turret and looked straight into the eyes of the girl on the other ship, "Of course, but don't get out of your ship until I give you permission." He turned to Lily, "Signal them to open the bay doors." then back to the other girl, "No funny business!"

Meanwhile...

Kiante and Merah were almost to the ship. The doors started opening. They got closer, and, noticing that neither of the smaller ships were firing, they slowed down a bit and coasted in. They landed, and were met with...nothing. Nothing official anyway, simply a bunch of people occasionally glancing up from their work, but trying not to do so noticeably.

Kiante dismounted and hit the floor with a thud. Unfortunately, right after that thud was another, as his knees buckled and he fell to the ground. His sight slowly turned to blackness. All he could sense were a few sounds, one like a ship landing, there was his own breathing, and an alarmed dragon. Then nothing, he was asleep.

(( You know, I really hate it when the internet randomly disconnects when I submited my ubber-awesome post... scream ))

Raven stared out the screen in disbelief as the ship began to move away, leaving the lone fighter. He had had it. He couldn't stay here any longer while some kid, acting as his commander, would order the ship to leave their more than capable comrad.

Raven turned towards Jeki, an emotionless stare on his features. "Whether the kid changes the war or not, he's still a child." With that said, Raven turned and left the room. His master wouldn't have left that girl behind. He would've kept her, and taught her how to be more successful in flight battle. However, Raven was also disappointed in the girl. It looked as though she had just given up. Soldiers of Darkness don't just give up like that.

Raven made his way to the ship dock. Jeki was a lost cause, but Raven could at least try to help this girl. It wasn't hard to convince someone to not give up, he knew by experience. Hopping into a ship, he quickly left, opening a side channel to Rydia's ship almost immediately.

"Fire at them," he ordered.

Lily looked back and gasped; sure enough, it was another enemy ship. Had they been tricked? Did it explain the sickening feeling in her stomach? Part of her wasn't surprised; the enemies tend to betray each other alot, as well as their own enemy. "An enemy that fought only for the invididual warrior's self", she had once heard from a solider shortly before his untimely death.

She continued to head towards the home ship of their own, keeping a cold eye on the enemy ship. Just one move; just one false move. She'd take her bum out; mercy is NOT to be taken advantage of!

((Okay, I'll try. Well, Kiante went to the SoD ship and met with Jeki for a moment, then he was going to be taken to their holding cell, but he escaped. Rydia chased after him, and she's in a small fighter now. The SoD ship started leaving before Rydia came back, but Raven chased after her. Rydia's heading towards the FoL ship and has apparantly surrendered. Mickey and Lily are following Rydia to the FoL ship, with Raven on their tail. Kiante landed in the FoL ship, then collapsed. Sora came, calmed down Merah, and called a medical team down. And...I guess that's about it. Frankly, I'm not sure who your character is right now, but I'm guessing you know, so get to posting!))

It wasn't normal. Something just wasn't quite right. He was on a beach, though he didn't know where it was or how he got there. He'd never been to any beaches on Drakonia. But he was sitting on a beach, looking at the sea, as waves lapped at his feet. He wasn't wearing his normal clothes either. All he was wearing were some shorts that came down to his knees. He didn't know how, but he knew they were called 'swimming trunks'. His skin seemed different than he remembered, a bit darker. 'Tan'.

He felt a small hand on his shoulder, and a voice saying, "Don't worry, I love you." it was a girl's voice. Kiante tried to turn his head and see who it was, but when he did, there was nothing but air.

He turned his head back to the mass of water before him. A boy was standing out there, in the water. He turned, and Kiante saw it was Jeki, with is usual smile on. He put his hand up to his mouth and called out, "C'mon Kiante, it's just water, it's great!"

Kiante wasn't sure what was going on, but the image in front of him seemed to flash, and then the water was turned a deep purple. Jeki was still calling, "C'mon man!" and then he held his hand out.

A huge wave started rolling up and Kiante started running towards Jeki, trying to yell to him, "Watch out!" But nothing came out. He kept running, but it seemed as if he was running in place. The wave crashed, and swept him into the purple liquid. He was sinkning. He should be floating, shouldn't he? But Kiante was sinking.

Kiante no longer felt the sensation of the water, yet he was still falling, drifting downwards. He opened his eyes, just barely, and only for a moment, to see a large mosaic platform. The picture was of some lady he'd never seen before. This was strange, and yet, to him it felt completely normal.

He landed, on his feet remarkably. 'Why am I here?' He wondered, 'How did I get here? Something's not right.'

'Heh, finally. I love this part. Come on, step forward. Can you?'

Kiante took a single step forward, then was immobolized, as the ground started shaking. Three pedastals appeard around the edges of the platform. One with a strange, and not very effective, sword. One with a shield, and one with a wand. All three seemed to have a strange symbol of three circles on them somewhere.

'If you give it form... It will give you strength. Choose well.'

"Choose...well?" Kiante said, wondering what the voice was, and what it meant. He figured he'd have to choose one of the pedastals. He walked up to the sword and put one hand on the hilt.

'The power of the warrior. Invincible courage. A sword of
terrible destruction. Is this the power you seek?'

'Power I seek? Warrior, invincible courage, yet terrible destruction. Destruction of my enemies. Yes...I think this is the power I choose. Yes.' Kiante thought.

Apparantly reacting to his thoughts, the pedastal falls, the sword disappears, and the mysterious voice says, 'Your path is set. Now, what will you give up in exchange?'

Kiante turned and looked. The shield and wand. He started towards the shield, then stopped, 'Every warrior must have the power to protect those he loves. But magic,' He started towards the wand, 'is extraneous.'

He rubbed the handle of the wand, and the mysterious voice piped up again, 'The power of the mage, a force that can be used for good or for evil. You give up this power?'

"Yes." Kiante said it out loud this time.

The wand disappeared as well, and the whole platform started breaking up.

Meanwhile...

Sora and Teitri both watched Kiante as he lay in the bed in the medical section. "Is he going to be ok?" Teitri asked.

"Yes, I think I know what's happening. It's him again...interesting, it seems he was a bit late this time." Sora chuckled a bit.

"Who?"

"You know the Soldier of Darkness, the one who leads the SoD? Well then the person I'm refering to might be called the Soldier of Light. I met him once, apparantly he has something to do with...no, I shouldn't say anything, not now."

"So then, he's not hurt?"

"No, though I bet he's pretty tired. Just let him rest. Go meet the King when he gets back please."

"Yes sir." And off he went.

"But..." Rydia pouted. She'd really liked the plan she'd come up with. "I mean, I guess I don't mean he'll come willingly per se...please, just give me a chance. Besides, I already told them, and if they've got any sense they still don't trust me yet. I don't wanna get blown up."

She put on a pleading expression, with absolutely perfect puppy eyes. She'd never tried this technique on Raven before, but it was worth a shot.

"Please...give me the chance to prove myself. I've got it all planned out."

Rydia grinned, resisting the urge to whoop.

Instead she nodded. "I won't let you down," she affirmed, and then piloted into the FoL ship.

In no time she had hopped out, and was waiting politely for the King and his lackey to show up. In the meantime, Rydia studied her surroundings, interested.
