[OOC]
In the Role Playing forum I see a lot of people posting their profiles in the self same RP thread they're playing. That's a bit disorganized, and creates clutter.
It might be a bit useful to have separate threads for profiles. Maybe a separate thread for each Role Play? For example:
SORCERE SORCERE Profiles
Thread starters might even have an auditioning process, if they like. It's their RP, after all.
SORCERE RP Audition Thread
Ect, ect. Just an idea to keep things a bit more organized.
Or just one Sticky up top where everyone can post their profiles. That way, they'd only have to post a profile once, instead of posting one for every thread they enter.

Sargtlin01 What do you think about that new dark elf skin? It's not really DARK and evil, is it? Half the drow cosplayers now use different skin... should we all use the same? I disagree with light grey as Drow are darkskinned in my interpretation (black, dark grey, dark violet, dark brown), but of course everybody should take his own decision. Just wondered what you think. Your thoughts, please? smile

Your thoughts, please? smile I like the smurf skin from the event, and I think that it's a good way to unify the larger dark elf community (which may provide us with future recruits). Still, I also respect those who think the Tone E brown skin is more striking. I like them both really and so I accept both as good reflections of our fantasy race. smile

XD smurf skin. That sums it up rather nicely actually. I didn't like it much, so I'll be turning Kal'Daka back to tone e at some point.

imo event's skin is more for wow's night elfs... I mean - look at it - it's blue!!
and I agree with prince romanov, skin must be a little darker, then, for example, mine one, but alas...

I would like to suggest that, for certain forums, one must consult staff before posting a thread. I understand there's some concern about limiting freedom and diversity, but I just find it way too chaotic and frustrating having so many threads and forums to sift through, and I think we'd be able to cut down on that if people had to have their thread idea accepted first before posting. Also, that would mean we wouldn't have to delete/move abandoned threads as often.
We could have certain forums where you don't need permission to post a thread, such as the Chatterbox. That makes sense to me.
Furthermore, perhaps the forums can be more compartmentalized? Also, this isn't really important, but the way they look now is very hard on my eyes- the big capital letters, the long titles.
Also, I've been told that Dunmer are accepted in this guild, but all I hear about everywhere is the Drow, or Dungeons and Dragons. I'd like to put up my own thread containing lore on the Dunmer.

So your suggesting...we pm a crew and show them our topic idea then if they think it works then they can post it, right. Ummm I think that would make things too slow. Plus, it IS a chatterbox. A chatterbox is suppose to be overwhelming with BS.

You may absolutely post a Dun Mer thread. It would give the Dun Mer fans something to get behind. I recommend the Dark Elven Lore forum. As to the threads and guild navigation being an eyesore, I totally agree with you, it's just been a low priority for crew given other current issues. I promise, over time, we will work to fancy up the navigation. As to chatterbox, yeah, anything goes. We do try to clean up the other forums from time to time. Thanks for your suggestions!

A chatterbox is suppose to be overwhelming with BS.No, not for the Chatterbox. But for the other things. And, the crew can start hiring more crew, and it would be easier to manage. I only suggest this because I used to belong to a forum that used the rule, and it actually worked quite well. Draevir You may absolutely post a Dun Mer thread. I've already started on it, but it needs editing and additions. I CAN just put up links to webpages that already explain it quite well, but what's the fun of that? XD Ahh, I see. Well, if it would cut down on the crew's work any, I could figure out how to compartmentalize things for y'all. Well, thanks for reading 'em, and replying as well!

I've wanted to do that for a long time, Snow, so don't worry about it. Some players are just apprehensive I guess about change happening so much.. but the guild is growing nearly every day and we need to accomodate for it with better systems and better rules. Which forums do you think these should apply to(besides the main forum)?

Which forums do you think these should apply to(besides the main forum)? General fluff about any race should go in Dark Elven Lore forum. Any references to game information (either video game OR tabletop game) should also go in Dark Elven Lore for now... or UG Chatterbox if you want more viewership (but greater chance of thread getting buried too though).

Could there be a Q & A thread, for Qs on RPs, dark elves, etc. or does this Suggestion thread plus Chatterbox take care of that?

Ms Mazing Could there be a Q & A thread, for Qs on RPs, dark elves, etc. or does this Suggestion thread plus Chatterbox take care of that? This is a good question actually. I have a CHATTER THREAD in the new Bestiary forum for just this sort of thing. So all bestiary questions would be referred there. I think each sub-forum might benefit from this sort of Q&A and general discussion sticky thread so eventually I'm going to add them (as well as hopefully better sub-forum navigation).
