lu-tze Well let's just hope no army transport trucks stop near youo then... Army Transport truck in Nova Scotia, Canada... It would be carrying a bunch of grocery bags. Those would of course be for some helpless old lady who can't carry them herself, so they'd transport it for her.
Not actually, but our army is pretty bad.

I bet our army invented the water balloon. The healthy alternative to actually blowing stuff up.

If anyone wants a good debate, heres one: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3483566Repeater but heh i'm bored I'd post there, but I'm only one going to be on for a few minutes... not enough time to get into a serious discussion or anything. My biggest issue with a lot of what people say there is that children get in the way of a mother's potential. I hate that children have such an awful stigma. They will get in the way if you let them, but they don't have to. You can still do things and have children; all it takes in most cases is a more positive attitude and a little bit more effort. I mean, I have two very young children, and both myself and my husband are in graduate school full time. I also run a home-based business part time. My husband teaches two undergraduate classes on top of the classes he's taking. I finished my bachelors degree with one munchkin and the second on the way (he was born less than a week after I took my last final). It is a lot of work to maintain a life like this, but I think it's worth it. I spent most of this evening reading stuff for one of my classes with my youngest curled up in my lap while my 3 year old sat in a chair across from me and tried to read C.S. Lewis (this is the effect watching me and my hubby study all the time has created--personally I'd say this is a good thing). Anyways. I've gotta get off and do some more homework and head off to bed. Sorry about the mini-rant here... I know this is supposed to be a lighter thread.

Sorry about the mini-rant here... I know this is supposed to be a lighter thread. oh man, gotta comment. smile I don't feel like going around Gaia too much...I don't deal well with other people.... blaugh I have never heard of a child "getting in the way". It sounds like something someone with no children would say. You go girl. So good of you to have two kids...I'm jealous. Congrats on being married. I'm married too, and I think us married people are a minority(by far) on Gaia. My sister-in-law TOTALLY had a baby girl during college, and her and her husband finished without any problems(they even had thier girl dress up in cap and gown for pictures because it was like she graduated with them). Also, if something isn't hard, i mean, if you don't have to put work into it....then obviously your doing it wrong. EVERYTHING is better and happier when you work for it. I'm so proud of you and girls like this everywhere, that are school-moms, and I call them. My mom was one, and I'd LOVE to be one(finacial, it doesn't work yet), so good for you. It's nice to know there are still some sane people out in this world.

Not me. Keep the sanity away from me.... I think I may be allergic!
But really, I hate the abortion debate threads because there are always arguments on the first page I want to smack down, but they always tend to be on, like, the tenth page. gonk
