The Kazehan Hospital & Selene gets her Dad

The receptionist led Dia and Ala down the hallway to one of the birthing rooms. Before they opened the door, Dia turned to Ala, "Is this what you want?" She said gently.

Ala looked up at Dia, her eyes held a mix of discomfort, pain and questioning to Dia's question

"For your baby to be born here, I mean."

"Yeah, child is coming regardless where I go, but least here I in company of my closest friend and family and people who know my kind... or at least what my kind was..." She nodded taking a deep breath

Dia smiled and nodded, and opened the door to allow the nurse to push the wheelchair into a very large, white room. There was a very large tub, sunken into the floor, and water filled it to the floor level.

"Looks welcoming somehow" she said with a chuckle unsure exactly what she had to do.

"Just wait in here for a moment, Dr. Garyuu will be in to let you know what to do." the receptionist said as she left the room, closing the door behind her

Ala looked up at her friend after the receptionist left "Well certainly not how I expected to have my day go..." she gave her a weak smile

Dia chuckled, "Mine either."

Ika returned a few minutes later, smiling. "Good afternoon Ala. So I see your baby has decided to come meet mom and dad today." she chuckled.

Ala nodded "Yeah, I guess it decided it liked what it heard you say last time I was in Kazeha" she chuckled softly

Ika smiled. "Well, I'd like to get you into the water as soon as possible, so you can relax, and have some of the pressure eased. Here's top to put on. once you get it on go ahead and crawl into the water, there's a bench in the tub to sit on as well. I'll come and check on you in just a few minutes." She handed a white shimmering looking garment that had sleeves, but only was long enough to cover from the breasts up. "do you have any questions?"

"I think its for modesty, mainly." Dia whispered.

Ala shook her head "No questions" she said taking the top from Ika. She looked at her friend "I'll probably need your help though"

Ika nodded and left the room. "holler if you need anything." and she closed the door behind her.

Dia turned to Ala, " That is a weird ... top." she said looking at it very curiously.

"I could be nude for I care" she said with a chuckled working on her current top

Dia helped Ala remove her top. "you know, I'm sure you don't have to wear it if you don't want to." She said, holding her hand out to help Ala stand up.

Ala reached and took her hand pulling up her other hand working on her bottoms and shows using Dia as support "Water is a natural habitat for me I think I will, after all I'm sure the staff here has seen nude people and I KNOW Torvil has, only other person would be you, less you have a problem with it...." She looked over at her friend

Dia smiled, "not at all, I've got the same parts, and its not like I've never seen them." She chuckled, helping her friend still.

Ala laughed shaking her wet pants and her shoes off then with Dia's help headed for that inviting water

Dia helped walk Ala to the water and held her for extra support as she crawled in.

The water enveloped Ala and she felt in her natural space "Feels really nice in here.." she said sitting on a bench and leaning against the side

Dia just squat down at the edge of the tub. "You feel better being in there?"

"A little, though I'm sure that's not going to last too long...." She looked up at her

Dia smiled, "can I get you anything? Anything at all?"

Ala shook her head "Your company is suffice" she turned on the bench crossing her arms resting them on the edge of the tub and resting her head on her arms with her eyes shut

Dia plopped down on her butt where she was squatting and sat cross-legged watching her friend. This was going to be interesting as she's never even been in a birthing room, let alone seen a birth.

*MEANWHILE AT ALA & TORVIL'S HOME*

Selene saw the shop and house on the horizon as she flew towards home

Torvil was pacing. He had been on edge all day since Ala left, he had the strangest feeling that he should have gone with her... But he'd had to finish some things up and now that he was done he was thinking of going on over to Kazeha...

Selene landed and walked into the house, she'd not been there more then once in the previous month. Pushing her hair over her shoulder she set about finding her father

Torvil heard the door open. "Ala?" He called out questioningly, heading for the front of the house. He was worried.

"Dad?" she followed his voice and walked into the front room, her wings still unfurled from her flight

Okay, something was wrong... and for the first time in Torvil's life he actually swore at his wife, even if she wasn't there. He should never have let her go alone, even if it was just to visit Dia. "Selene?" His voice dripped worry.

"There you are, let's go.... " she said grabbing his hand and heading for the door without a word of explanation

"Whoa! Wait, what's going on... Is there something wrong with your mother?" His voice was definitely on the verge of panic.

"You're gonna be a father again dad... " she said almost exasperated, but then she wasn't entirely thinking about the fact she hadn't told him why she was there to begin with

Torvil blinked. "Let go, I can get there faster myself..." He said pulling away from her grasp, being stronger.

"No... You aren't using the other side dad I wont let you, Mom told me what happened last time" she reached and grabbed his hand again

Torvil growled. "Selene... I'm going to do it the right way... I've already promised your mother that I won't straight jump... If I fly there's a good chance I'll miss it... And I can't handle that... So don't try me..." He pulled away again.

"And you think I wanna miss it either dad? I'm about to become not the youngest of this family" she glared at him

Torvil frowned. "Selene, honey..." He sighed. "I'm going to do it this way... Hate me for it later... But I have to get to Ala now..." He closed he eyes getting ready.

She threw herself at him wrapping her arms around him she said she was going to bring him back, she would be damned if he arrived without her

Torvil did the only thing he could do, he moved his hand to burry his daughter's face into his chest, and shifted them.

The twisted nether, as it was called, is one of the many embodiments of Chaos... Torvil watched it streak by his eyes at a lighting pace, and refused to let his mind try to understand the twists and turns and complexities... To do so was to go insane...

They ended up on the Other side, Torvil's face set, and holding Selene too him in a vice grip. "Please tell me you had your eyes shut..." He panted softly.

"Mom told me you make her ... so yes..." she said

Torvil nodded catching his breath and preparing himself mentally for the next shift. "Sorry..." He whispered. "But Ala comes first..." He whispered. "Actually you kids do... Danger wise... But right now Ala is my top priority..."

"Mom is important to me too, I didn't even leave via the gates and I let my wings loose in front of someone I never had before to come and get you.... " Selene mumbled into his chest

Torvil brushed her hair. "Eyes shut..." He kissed the top of her head and shifted...

The second trip was harder, due to the charm on Kazeha, it made the nether bunch around it, making it rather thick and easily visible. Torvil had to strain extra hard, but finally he had them outside the hospital. He panted and shivered.

Selene held him she hadn't even opened her eyes in the other side she wasn't sure if they were there or not

We're here... Now take me to Ala..." He said softly, stroking his daughter's hair.

"Uhm I don't know exactly where she is, Cariss came and found me at home and I left from there, they had been at the Umaki's so uhm they might still be there, on way here or ... in there" she jut her thumb tot he doors of the hospital

Torvil nodded and let her go, heading in. Some one was bound to know where his wife was... And god help the poor soul who tried to stop him.

Labor and Delivery

Selene chased after her father "Dad don't go too crazy ok? promise me at least that much" she said as he pulled the door open

Torvil just nodded, practically running to the hospital's front desk. He slapped his hands onto it. "I need to know where Ala is!" He realized they might not know who she was from his favored name. "Mrs. Rakamash..."

The receptionist smiled, "Sir, are you her husband? She's expecting you in birthing room #1. Down the hall, first left then 2 doors down."

Torvil just nodded and ran, down the hall, nearly running into people as he careened roughly to the left on one foot, and skidded to a stop in front of the second door. He grabbed the handle and burst in. "Ala?"

Ala looked up from where she had her head rested and smiled "Good you made it" she said with a small smile

Dia turned as she had her back to the door. She got up and walked around to the other side of the tub and took the some pose, crossed legged at the edge of the water. "Hey stranger." she chuckled.

Torvil waved at Dia. "Long time no see..." He hurried to Ala and knelt down. "Did I make it in time?" He asked a bit worried.

"Somehow I have a feeling you made it with a lot of time to spare" she said looking rather uncomfortable overall

Torvil nodded and kicked off his shoes, he wore no socks. "Is it okay if I get in there?" He pointed at the water, already halfway to getting his buttons undone.

Dia cleared her throat and turned bright red and burred her face in her hands.

Ala nodded "Might wanna leave your boxers on though" she mumbled having returned to resting her head on her arms

Torvil nodded, just removing his shirt and slipping into the water. His hands went to her back, and he started to gently work them, more out of a habit he'd been unable to do till now.

There is a light knock on the door. Ika is heard asking if its okay to come in.

Ala smiled softly breathing deeply "so different..." she said quietly "Yeah" she called out

Torvil just nodded, leaving all the decisions to Ala... He didn't know how to handle this, and was almost freaking out. He may have looked calm, but he was a torrent of emotions so intense they threatened to erupt and make him snap.

Ika stepped in, "How are you, doing Ala?" she said calmly with a smile. "Oh! Hello there, Torvil is it?"

"Yeah..." Was his one word answer to avoid having to think... As thinking right now was quite undoable.

"Its nice to meet you." She smiled. She glanced at Dia, "Dia, are you ok?" With her face still buried, she nodded and a muffled 'yeah' was heard.

Ala nodded to her question "I hurt" she said "but I'll survive I've felt worse..." she said opening her eyes and lifting her head up to look at Ika, she glanced over her shoulder "You going to sit there like that all day Dia?"

Torvil was just moving on autopilot. He nodded to Ika, and didn't even notice Dia's issue, whatever it was.

Dia peeked thru her fingers and seen it was okay to uncover her face. She just smiled loosely, but retained her red color.

Ika knelt down next to Ala and reached for her hand. "Is there anything you need for now, Ala?"

Ala sighed "Not much can be done I imagine, I have my mate and my best friend I don't know what else ...." she broke off closing her eyes and breathing

Ika took Ala's pulse, "You're doing great so far. I think you may have a little while still, so just get comfy, and move around in the water as you need to. And Torvil, thank you for sitting in there with her."

Torvil suddenly swore, and looked around hastily. "The blanket! I forgot the blanket! I'll have to go back for..."

There was a shimmer in the air and Asmodeus stepped out from the air with a shiver. "You forgot this..." he dropped the blanket by the side of the pool and sat down. " He invited me..." he pointed at Torvil.

Ala glanced up and nodded, right now she didn't care who came, she hurt and the contractions were not being nice to her

Ika took a step back and blinked. "uhm...Hello?" she said, looking him over. "Are you here to witness the birth?"

Dia sniffed the air and looked and started to stand.

Asmodeus chuckled. "Yes... But only if Torvil still wants me to..." Torvil nodded still trying to help Ala be as comfy as she could be.

Ala heard Dia's movement "Dia come're" she said weakly knowing her friend was on the side away from her on the pool's edge

Torvil just worked Ala's back, not looking up as he tried to make her comfy. Asmodeus heard the movement and turned his head to look, his yellow eyes gleaming for a moment.

Ika smiled, "If you'd like a chair, I can bring one in for you." She turned to Ala, "holler for me if you need anything, I'll pop in every so often to check on you."

Asmodeus just waved his hand, and shook his head, not needing one. He was used to sitting on the floor.

Dia was standing, looking at the stranger and slowly edging around the tub in Ala's direction.

Ala pointed a the floor and tapped "Come sit with me Dia please?" she closed her eyes breathing deeply again

Asmodeus stayed where he was, and Torvil, who was still trying, to what felt to him vainly, keep Ala comfy, just sighed softly.

"Asmodeus, come sit over here next to Dia please... I might need you to get me something at anytime..."

Dia's ear twitched and turned towards the sound of Ala's voice, snapping her just enough for her realize she'd wandered again. She turned bright red and immediately sat down where she was standing.

Ala shifted putting her arms partially in Dia's lap, if nothing else it would keep her friend from wandering too far... for now... she rested her head on her arms again

Asmodeus got up and sat next to her, slightly off kilter from Torvil, but close enough to hand him stuff as need be.

Torvil frowned and kept trying to help Ala. Finally he just gave up and went back to working her back with his hand, a heavy sigh passing his lips.

Dia was pinching her nose shut as she watched the stranger move around and sit near her. She held Ala's hand with her free hand.

Ala squeezed her friends hand "He's from the other side Dia... " she paused long enough to get past a contraction " don't know that he's right for you"

Asmodeus just crooked a brow.

Torvil shook his head. "Asmodeus, go get me a washcloth please..." There was a shimmer and Asmodeus vanished and came back a few minutes later with the cloth, handing it to Torvil. He ran it up and down Ala's back.

Dia nodded and smiled, holding her friends hand tight.

Ika knocked and opened the door enough to poke her head in. "How's everything?"

"Slow... slower then my twins" she mumbled into Dia's lap

Dia took her hand from her nose and held her breath long enough to motion for Ika to come near.

Torvil winced he felt so useless, but didn't say a word on it, just kept trying his best to make Ala comfy, and seemed to be failing. Asmodeus noted his upsetness, but said nothing as well.

Ika came over and knelt by Dia, and Dia whispered something to her. Ika nodded and smiled. Ika turned to Torvil, "Can I get you anything?"

Torvil shook his head. "No..." He muttered, sounding more than a bit disgruntled... At himself.

Ala's tail moved around Torvil's arm giving a gentle squeeze of gratitude.

Ika smiled, "Are you sure, anything to help you relax? Maybe something to drink?" Ika wanted him to be comfortable as well.

Torvil shook his head, a smile gracing his lips for only a moment though. "I'm good... Thank you..." He kept trying, though he knew it was in vain, no matter what Ala was telling him.

Ika nodded, "Ala's doing great. The pain isn't permanent or damaging, and we'll do our best to control it. If you have any questions, don't be shy." Ika stood and smiled.

Ala squeezed her friend's hand as well as her mates as she tensed for another contraction trying to keep her breathing steady "Owwwwww"

Torvil winced and moved up to Ala's head. He reached casually into Dia's lap and put his hand on Ala's gem. His face contorted and he broke his hand away, going back to his work on Ala, only now ten times as hard.

Ika knelt back down by Ala, and put her hand on Ala's shoulder and closed her eyes. She stood that way for a few minutes.

Ala smiled weakly feeling the energy from Ika "How long has it been" she asked Dia softly

Dia pulled her watch from her pocket. "a couple hours so far." she said quietly.

Again the feeling of uselessness was sinking into Torvil. He wasn't helping... Not in the slightest... He couldn't help ala with the pain... He couldn't do anything... He felt worthless to his wife...and if one looked close the ducts under his eyes were growing red.

Ika opened her eyes, "Not much effect, I'm afraid." she sighed. "well, I will be back, I need to fetch something for Dia and will return. Last call." she smiled as she stood and headed for the door.

Asmodeus had a frown plastered on his face. He just shook his head. Torvil was working silently.

Ala shook her head dealing with a contraction, mentally telling herself if he broke down ... well she hoped he wouldn't

Ika left the room.

Dia watched Torvil for a few minutes. "Its okay, Torvil. You'll be helping quite a bit when the baby is born. My dad told me of his involvement when I was born."

Torvil grunted and rubbed at his eyes. Now he was just being stupid... He sighed loudly and went back to trying to keep her comfy, by rubbing her back, but he didn't seem to be helping. "I helped last time...She didn't hurt as much last time..." His voice conveyed worry.

Ika returned and handed Dia a small little plastic clip, which Dia promptly put on her nose and smiled. Ika knelt beside Ala and smiled. "Torvil, thank you for being in there with her. I think your support is helping her more than any of us could."

Torvil was silent for a moment before a small rivulet of red ran down his face. He nodded and kept going, but he seemed to be moving much more resolved now.

Asmodeus smiled at Ika and nodded his head.

Ala cringed "Owwww....." her tail's grip on her mate was TIGHT, her grip on Dia's hand nearly matched it

Torvil didn't flinch, but he could feel a bruise forming where his wife's tail was wrapped around.

Dia held in her yelp, but her eyes showed it hurt.

Torvil reached out and brushed Ala's hair. "Come on love... You can do this... Just remember the twins..."

Time passed, hours even, and Ala's contractions grew closer and closer together, she certainly never let go of either person helping her

Ika returned, on schedule, followed by a few more medical staff. "how are you doing, Ala?"

In the time that passed Torvil had been trying to support Ala as best he could... Asmodeus as well sat quietly watching, having not fetched anything for Toril for awhile.

"Owww" was Ala's only reply she hurt a LOT and it certainly wasn't helping her that they were very close together either

Ika's assistants knelt by the base of the tub opposite where Torvil and Ala sat. They bowed their heads and began meditating, channeling their own life energy into the tub, to help ease and calm its occupants.

Torvil suddenly started to hum, his eyes growing sharp. "What are they doing..." There seemed to be a humming noise in the air.

Ika smiled, "they are channeling their own energy into the tub, its for comfort mostly."

The humming stopped and Torvil nodded. "Alright... As long as it's not hurting anything..." He was slipping into paranoid mode.

Ala smiled weakly for a moment as her mind returned to her body she was breathing rhythmically and deeply almost constantly a few pink tears on her cheek

Ika shook her head and smiled. Ika removed her croc's and pulled her robe up, sitting on the edge of the tub, with her feet in the water. She put her hand on Ala's shoulder. "Torvil, when her contractions are less than 2 minutes apart, can you help position Ala and yourself to prepare for birth?" she asked calmly.

Torvil nodded. "Easily..." He said, knowing what would happen from there.

"Don't you go anywhere" she mumbled to Dia between contractions they didn't have long to wait at all before Ala reached the timing Ika indicated

Dia smiled, "I won't." she said quietly.

Torvil just looked at Asmodeus not needing to say anything to keep the man there with them.

Dia slid her feet into the water next to Ala and leaned over, putting her arms around her. "I'm here for you," she whispered.

Ala nodded "Thanks..." she cringed "Owwwww" she wasn't paying attention to ANY clocks they'd have to do that but she knew they hurt and they were feeling constant

Ika smiled, "I think your baby is coming very soon, if you'd like to get into a comfier position." She said.

Ala nodded slowly and sat up looking towards her mate

Torvil nodded quickly and smiled, moving to do just that.

Ala looked grateful for his presence and help but very much in pain as she moved

Torvil got her turned around and he slipped behind her.

Ika smiled and watched Torvil, then looked to Dia, "are you going to catch the baby?"

Torvil looked up to see what she said.

Ala looked towards her friend, she just wanted to get he pain over with she didn't care who caught it

Dia looked a bit bewildered and looked to Torvil, "Torvil?" she said confused.

"If you want..." He said softly. "I would be honored..."

Ala cringed breathing hard "Somebody I just... owwwwwww" she had tears on her cheeks her body felt more then ready

Dia got a lump in her throat. "Okay." she said quietly, then smiled, nervous as all heck. "what do I do?" she asked Ika

Torvil hugged Ala, and brushed her hair. "It's okay love, remember how it was like with the twins..."

Ika smiled, "Just get down in the water, and support the baby as it comes out."

"Twins didn't hurt this bad" she whined pitifully

Torvil nodded. "I know love... I know... But try..." He kissed the side of her head. "Just try..."

Dia waded to sit in front of Ala, still nervous. Ika handed Torvil the knife and clamps. "do you want to clamp the cord?"

Ala cried out feeling very much in pain and breathing rapidly she felt the desire to bear down and did

Ika held Ala's shoulder tight. "Go ahead and push, Ala." she said calmly

Torvil shook his head. "I'm not going to need those..." He said softly. "If anything... That part will remain dragon..." He felt her bare down and his attention turned. "That's right...."

Ala's face went red from her exertion of bearing down. and she only stopped for air until the child had crowned it's little bare head

Dia's eyes were wide, and her skin a bit green. "its head...is huge." she said under her breath.

Torvil kept trying to keep Ala as comfy as she could as she exerted herself.

Ala breathed rapidly till she felt the desire to push again, which came with the next contraction, she bore down hard as she could the infants head slowly emerging

Ika smiled, "you're doing great Ala, keep pushing."

Torvil was watching Dia, waiting for her to catch the child when it came...

Ala again took a short break the child's head out now just the shoulders to go. Bearing down again she felt them move out and the child moved out of her much more quickly after they had

Torvil kept a careful watch on the area down near Dia for the baby.

Dia watched reaching her hands under the water and taking hold of the baby it came out of Ala's womb. She lifted it carefully up out of the water and looked to Ika, not knowing what to do next.

Ala collapsed against Torvil panting as she felt the contractions going away

Ika told Dia to turn the baby over and give the fanny a light tap. Dia got another worried look on her face, not wanting to hit a new baby. "o...k." she stuttered

Dia turned the baby over and holding the little tail to side a bit, she gave a very light smack and with that, the baby cried out, taking its first breath.

Torvil moved swiftly, making sure Ala was supported before moving down to the child's cord and taking it in his hands. He bit down, breaking it, and tying what was left attached to Ala in a knot, as well as what was left on his son... Yes... His son...

Ala looked up at the sound of the cries smiling softly as she saw her newborn son

Ika smiled at Torvil, "Congratulations, Daddy." she said softly, then turned to Dia. "you need to help her with the placenta now." she instructed Dia, and told Ala to bear down once more as Dia pushed down on her tummy.

Ala nodded pushing one last time till it was out

Torvil took the child from Dia, and moved him over to the side of the pool and wrapped him up in the blanket. He leaned up against the wall holding his son, slowly nodding off.

Dia took the mass in her hands and held it up. "what is this?"

Ala chuckled softly looking completely wiped "What the baby was in" she said softly

Ika chuckled, "the placenta," Ika took it and examined it. "Ala, you did great. You have a beautiful, healthy son."

"Thanks" she moved closer to her mate and son "Thankyou Dia" she said softly

Dia smiled, "congrats you two." she said quietly, handing the placenta to Ika, and wading next to Ala.

Ala reached and pulled her friend into a hug

"thank you ala, for letting me be a part of this." Dia whispered as she hugged her friend.

"Thankyou for being there for me" she said sounding and looking worn out, she looked towards her son "Surion Asmodeus Rakamash" she said softly

The Aftermath

Dia chuckled and looked to Torvil's friend, "The middle name is yours." she smiled.

Ika smiled, "we have rooms upstairs for you, if you'd like to stay the night, rest up, and gain back some strength and energy."

Ala nodded "Someone is gonna have to probably fetch some strong people to move my mate... but yes I agree, stay and recuperate... and feed my son"

Little Surion was quietly looking around

Asmodeus was silent for a moment. He brushed at his eye and sighed. "I must go..." He murmured... And stood, looking to Dia for a moment and giving her a smile. "You did a good job today..." With that he shimmered out.

Torvil stirred a little and woke a bit. "I need a bed or something... Or a chair..." He chuckled softly. "This floor isn't cutting it..." He murmured looking down at his son with a smile.

"Room upstairs love, I need to feed him" Ala said moving to climb from the tub

Dia climbed out of the tub, and moved to help Ala

Ala smiled and accepted her help

Ika went to grab a robe and handed it to Ala as she climbed out.

Torvil nodded, and got up, holding Lil Sur close to him. Waiting for her to be able to hold him.

Ala pulled it around herself and turned to take her wrapped son from his father

Torvil smiled and handed Lil Sur off to his mother. "He's gorgeous love... Like you..." He kissed Ala's cheek softly when he made sure she had him. "I'm going to go sleep... But wake me if you need anything..."

Ika turned to Torvil, "I'll take you the room if you'd like."

Torvil nodded. "Thanks, would you? I'm still a little confused with this place..." he said heading out the door.

Ika led Torvil upstairs to one of the rooms reserved for new parents.

Torvil collapsed into bed, passing out.

Ala looked down at her son "I should find somewhere to sit before I fall" she said quietly to Dia

Dia went and grabbed the wheel chair that was still in the room and wheeled to ala to sit down in

Ala sat down "Who would have thought I'd wind up here eh?" she said looking up at her friend

Dia smiled, "no kidding." she said softly, standing by Ala and looking at the new baby. "He's cute...but looks painful." she mused.

"It was, but now it's not so bad" she ran a finger across his cheek and he turned to suckle it "I think he's hungry" she said with a laugh. and moved the robe to feed him

"Did the horns hurt?" she asked, eyeing the little ones Surion's head.

"I think it all did, but the horns probably contributed, plus his size, he's definitely bigger then the twins were at birth" she stroked the side of his head as he nursed

"Will he grow as fast as they did?" She asked quietly.

"Somehow I have a feeling he wont..." she said softly "And to be honest I hope he doesn't, to me he is a bit of a miracle child I want that childhood to last "

Dia smiled. "Ala, this was an amazing thing. Thank you for letting me be a part of it." she said, a tear rolling down her cheek.

"I'd say anytime, but I don't know how many more I'll have, if any... but just the same, you are welcome"

Dia chuckled. "You're lucky. So's that baby." she said softly.

She pulled Surion from her breast as he finished, then burped him "Wanna hold him ?" she asked her friend

"huh? now?" Dia fidgeted, "don't you want to hold him longer." she blushed.

Ala chuckled "I can hold him all the time..." she smiled softly

Dia chuckled, "well...maybe then I suppose I don't have an excuse." she knelt down beside Ala and held her arms out. "I won't hurt him...will I?"

Ala shook her head "just support his head and You'll do fine" she said

Dia nervously, but gently took the infant into her arms. "Wow...he's so fragile." she whispered.

"And you helped him come into this world" she said softly

Dia laughed softly and blushed. "As much as I would like to take credit for that...I think you and Torvil are the ones that did."

Ala chuckled "But you helped with his birth.... Dia... I want you to be his god-mother" she said softly

Dia looked up at Ala, "seriously?"

Ala nodded "Seriously... I want you to be his god-mother"

Dia's eyes swelled up with tears. "Ala...that's...I don't know what to say." She said, choking on the words a little. "It would be an honor."

Ala smiled "good, I'll tell Torvil tomorrow, I doubt he'd disagree"

Dia chuckled a little. She held little Surion close to her. "godmother." she whispered under her breath. "I need to figure out where to get a wand now." she chuckled.

Ala laughed hard then stopped with a light grimace "Ouch... remind me not to laugh to hard for a while" she said

Dia winced lightly, empathetic for the pain her friend just felt. "sorry." she said sheepishly.

"It's ok, you didn't know.. Guess I should put that bead with the others eh?" she said eyeing the pile of beads on her clothing she'd taken off

Dia smiled, "when you get a chance, you don't have to do it now." she said softly, standing up to hand the baby back to his mom.

Ala nodded and took the child "Who do you think he looks most like?" she asked stroking his soft skin as he looked up at her

Dia looked at his face. "I see both of you. But I think...maybe more Torvil in his cheeks and mouth."

Ala chuckled "I have to agree..."

Dia smiled and watched the baby with his mommy. She was so envious of Ala.

"You'll have one some day..." she said quietly "You just need to settle on a mate" she looked up to Dia

Dia blushed. "yeah...that's the hard part." she chuckled.

Ala smiled "It can be, or it can be simple, depends on the feelings of both"

Dia nodded. "yeah...but it will be hard for me. I know that much." she sighed. "I can't choose, I want them all." she laughed.

Ala had to stifle her laugh cause she knew she'd burst out laughing hard

Dia blushed, "sorry." she said meekly.

Ala shook her head "It's ok Dia, not your fault... I'm just rather sore right now... His birth truly was a lot more painful then the twins'"

Ika popped her head in the door. "Is everything ok? How are you feeling Ala?" she said as she approached the 2.

Ala looked towards Ika "I'm ok, really sore, but ok" she smiled

Ika smiled, "I'm glad your doing well."

Dia smiled, "thank you Ika."

"Torvil fall asleep again?" she had to smile, she was a bit tired but she did feel like she got her second wind

Ika smiled, "Aye, he did. Poor dear was exhausted."

"I think stress got him more then anything... he was worried about this pregnancy" Ala told her

"I hope his worry is eased some now. I'm not sure how successful we were in helping to ease you, but I'm glad that we got thru it without incident." Ika said

Ala smiled softly "I did feel the energy, just took a bit of the edge off really. Thankyou though I really did appreciate it"

Ika smiled, and put her hand on Ala's shoulder. "Well have the birth records for Surion waiting for you at the front desk in the morning. Until then, please enjoy your stay and our hospitality. If you need anything, there's a buzzer in your room, and someone will come. There's staff here round the clock. Unfortunately I need to say goodnight, as its time for me to head home. It was a pleasure to assist you today, Ala."

Ala smiled and nodded "Thanks, for the info a while ago... and your help today"

Ika smiled, gave Ala's shoulder a squeeze and headed out.

Ala smiled watching her leave then looked down at her son who was now asleep in her arms "I wanted another child, looks like I got what I wanted. I would say what I dreamt... but I don't dream"

Dia looked at her friend, "There's 2 things about that statement I want to address." she chuckled, "first, I didn't know you didn't dream."

Ala chuckled "No Kerrsalian can once their abilities manifest, I lost the ability to dream when I was about 7"

"that's so sad." Dia said, frowning a little. "but ala...dreams aren't only what we do at night."

"It's kinda like a black void for me, like nothingness. I've gotten used to it over the years. Not that I don't wish I still could..." She smiled softly

Dia smiled a bit, "You can still dream of having a child, if that's what your heart wants, then it can be a dream. You don't just have to picture it in your mind when you sleep."

Ala smiled "I guess that's true... I never really thought about it like that"

Dia smiled and stood up on her knees to look at Surion again. "Its amazing...you just ... created life."

Ala looked down "Yeah, I suppose I did, and you helped bring life into the world too..."

Dia chuckled, "All I did was catch him."

"And bring him up and help him take his first breath of air." Ala added

Dia blushed, "yeah...sorry I had to spank him." she said meekly.

"You didn't spank him, that requires multiple smacks. you simply startled his system into inhaling" She smiled

Dia laughed, "it was still weird."

Ala lifted the corner of the blanket from Surion's sleeping form "He has a tail, I guess that would be my tail" she giggled seeing it wrapped around the hip of her son

Dia peeked in, "yeah, its neat he was born with it. I wasn't even born with mine."

Ala chuckled "Neither was I, bit that's ok, just means he doesn't have to put up with the pain if he were ever to grow one... I should probably find him a diaper before he soils this blanket"

Dia got up and looked around to see if Ika had left any. There was a pile by the door and she went to look thru it. "Blankets, towels, a robe, Ah! diapers." she took one to Ala.

Ala chckled "Thanks Dia" she repositioned her son in her lap and after a couple of tries to keep him positioned and an adjustment to the diaper for his little tail she got it on him.

Dia watched. "you're so good at that" she said quietly

"Practice Dia" she said with a chuckle "Even if that was only a few days worth"

Dia chuckled, "I meant being a mom in general." She walked over, putting a hand on Ala's shoulder.

Ala blushed lightly wrapping her son up again and pulling his form against her chest so that her arm was under his bottom and he was leaning against her head turned towards her shoulder

Dia smiled. "ala" she said quietly. "who was the guy that was here? the one who's name you used for Surion's middle name?"

"He's the guardian of the other side. He's helped Torvil out of more scrapes then I can count" she said with a nod

Dia smiled. "He smelled...different...than most guys do." she said.

"Probably cause he spends most of his time in the world of the dead" she said quietly

Dia nodded. "I see."

Ala nodded and yawned "Ok I think Everything that happened is catching up with me now" she said

"do you need help up to the room?"

"Very likely, considering I'm still very sore, and don't have a clue where it is" she said "I can't forget my clothing though"

Dia went and gathered up Ala's things from the floor and set them on her lap. "I'll push up there." she chuckled as she took the handles on the wheelchair and pushed towards the door.

"Thanks Dia" she said with a soft laugh "And you'll have to see me again before I head home" she said with a nod

"You better believe I'll be knocking on your door bright and early, not letting you get away without a goodbye." she chuckled as she opened the door, then pushed Ala thru.

Ala giggled "Good, Can't leave Kazeha without my son seeing his god-mother"

Dia smiled. "I'll have to make sure I visit more often now, too. Not go getting myself snatched anymore." she laughed.

"Harder to get 'snatched' or attacked in the air... you'll need to get over your fears so you don't have that worry" she said with a nod

Dia smiled, "yeah, that's true." she pushed Ala up the long winding incline that wound around the building heading to the second floor.

"I swear this place is a maze...." she mused watching her surroundings

Dia chuckled, "only if its your first time."

Ala laughed "It is"

Dia laughed too, "I know." Well, it looks like you are staying in room #3 she said as she entered the long hallway and looked down to see blue balloons and streamers adorning the door of room #3

Ala giggled "Someone had fun" she said noticing the decorations as well

As they approached the door, there was a small rolled parchment address to Ala and Torvil attached to the door.

Ala blinked and smiled "wonder who that is from" she mused

Dia plucked it off the door and handed it to Ala.

The letter said:
Congratulations and thank you for honoring us by choosing to deliver your precious bundle at our hospital. It was a pleasure to serve you and your family. Here's good luck for the future, Call on us anytime. Love, Ika + the staff of Kazeha Byouin

Ala smiled softly "I'll have to remember to send them a lil gift"

Dia slowly opened the door, and pushed Ala inside slowly, and quietly, so she didn't wake Torvil.

"If he's truly asleep like I'm sure he is, he's dead to the world right now, not a whole lot will wake him...." she smirked

Dia chuckled softly and bent down to hug Ala and Surion. "Thank you again, Ala. And congratulations."

"Thanks Dia, I really appreciated you being there for me" she said returning the hug

"Anytime, I'm always going to be here for you." she said softly as she stood back up. "I'll leave you to your hubby and new baby and to get some rest now."

Ala nodded and pushed herself from the chair "I'll see you tomorrow then" she said softly locating and placing her son in the bassinette and turning to Dia

"definately." Dia nodded, and went to give Ala one last hug.

Ala pulled her close giving her a big hug before letting go

Dia smiled, "have a good night my friend." and with that, Dia left the room, pulling the door shut behind her.

Ala curled up on the bed left next to Surion and dozed off

Oh My ... That hurt soooo bad. It was worse then my twins' birth but not as bad as when my wings grew. But still a pain I'm glad I no longer have to endure. But now I can be with my precious son. Visha he's so cute, and it was so nice to wake up to find him still a baby.

Torvil's Journal

Dear Journal,

That was... Something else. I was so tired when the stress and worry left me that I could hardly stand, and holding my newborn son in my arms was so soothing. I'm so happy that it's hard to sit here and write this... Ala's sleeping right now, and she's curled up around him. He's so cute! He's defintaly got a lot of her in him, and I'm glad he has a tail... I miss mine to tell the truth... I was suprised though, that Asmodeus came for the birth... I'd asked him to come, but he'd seemed wishy-washy on it... I'm glad he did... We did after all use his name for our son's middle one... I think I'm going to watch the two of them sleep right now... So I'm going to put this aside now...

Dia visits her godson

Ala sat on the bed of the room she had been occupying since late the night before, her son was laying on the bed between her beds watching her one hand holding his blanket in a fist the other had it's thumb stuffed in his mouth. She was working on undoing the beaded necklace so she could add the bead

Dia was slowly approaching the hospital. Faced with her usual distractions. She was carrying a gift for her friend's baby from her mother.

"Why the have to do this up so tight" she mumbled to herself her eyes fixated on the knot, course it didn't help she was still rather sore

Dia arrived and knocked on the decorated door.

"Come in Dia" Ala called out smiling softly her sense of smell having cleared itself up after Surion was born

Dia opened the door quietly and came in. "Good morning." She smiled and waved.

Ala looked up and smiled letting her hands drop with the necklace which was thoroughly frustrating her "Sleep well?" she asked

Dia nodded. "Yeah. Oh! my mom wanted me to give this to you." She handed Ala a large blue bag.

Ala chuckled "Thanks, she pulled it beside her smiling as she listened to her son's coos as she pulled it open

Dia smiled, "My mom made the tunic for you, and she said she made that teething ring thing, but I'm not sure how...or why. She just said it might come in handy." She mused.

Ala looked at it and smiled "Tell her thanks for me, as for the why, he will teethe, unlike my twins he didn't seem to be born with teeth" she chuckled moved the bag to the floor beside her

Dia chuckled. "So how are you doing today?"

"Sore and frustrated, this necklace is tied too tight" she laughed "but then my soreness probably doesn't help" she said picking the beads up again

Dia laughed, "here, let me try."

Ala smiled and reached to hand Dia the necklace "Can't add the bead if I cant get it open" she grinned

Dia chuckled and took the necklace and fidgeted with the knot a little and then pulled a throwing needle from her pouch and worked the knot the loose.

"Sweet, I don't have any of that stuff with me right now, usually would but I left that at home I didn't think I'd need it, didn't think I'd need much at all yesterday..." she said undoing the leather cord that held the single bead

Dia smiled, "Its habit for me to take this stuff everywhere." she mused.

Ala laughed "with all the clothing I have to alter, it's become habit for me too" she reached for and took the necklace back from Dia and threaded the bead onto it before tying it back closed. "Well that part's done.. I just gotta get the journal again so I can write in it... Kinda left the Umaki farm in a bit of a hurry" she said wryly

"We could always go retrieve it, I'm sure they'd love to see the baby."

"Aye that we could. If I had something that didn't fall to my ankles every time I stand up" she said with a laugh

Dia chuckled, "We could go shopping."

Ala nodded "Yes, Torvil will be looking for me here, think they'll mind if I go out for a little bit then return so he can find me and Surion?"

Dia shook her head, "Not a problem, I'll tell the receptionist as we leave."

Ala nodded and picked up Surion making sure he was wrapped with the blanket he was NOT letting go of then climbed off the bed holding up the waistband of her pants, she had pulled on her now-very-baggy shirt with the pants

Dia chuckled, "Sorry I don't have clips or pins." she stood up and headed for the door. "ready?"

Ala chuckled and nodded she draped the beads back over her neck and with a finger lopped through a belt loop and supporting her son she followed

Dia held the door open, chuckling. "Want me to carry him?" she asked meekly watching as Ala tried holding her pants up.

"Sure, least till I'm not holding up my pants at least" she said moving to hand Surion to Dia

Dia gently took Surion and resting him against her chest, with one hand on his back. "he's sure quiet." she whispered.

Ala nodded "A very peaceful little man, he's barely done more the whine at me"

Dia smiled, "My mom said I wouldn't stop fussing when I was a baby." She walked with Ala down the hall, holding the quiet baby, and grinning.

"Sounds you were just as much of a trouble maker then as now" she winked at her friend

Dia laughed, "yeah, that's it." she smirked. "The store is in the marketplace just across the road, but the chamber building." she told ala so she'd know where to turn once they exited the building.

Ala nodded "gotcha, I think this is the longest I've stayed in Kazeha" she said with a chuckle as they approached that exit

"Its not too bad a place, is it?" she gave ala a wink

Ala chuckled "No, not exactly the visit I expected, but I certainly don't think I can complain" she blinked as she stepped out into the sunlight and turned towards the clothing shop her eyes glancing at the other Kazehans around her

Dia walked alongside Ala as the headed to the Marketplace. "There's all kinds of stores, so you can choose anything you want, its my treat." she smiled.

Ala smiled softly "Thanks Dia" she looked at her son leaning against her "He certainly looks comfy"

Dia smiled, "I expected him to be all squirmy, but its nice, he's really calm."

Ala chuckled "Of course, he's in his god-mom's arms" she grinned

Dia blushed and smiled. The reached the entryway to the Marketplace and Dia noticed the whole place was buzzing that day. "wow, lots of people out today," she mused, watching everyone scurrying about purchasing from the various stands and shops.

"You aren't kidding, much as I'd like to stay here all day lets find something and keep going, I'm not sure how Surion is going to react to crowds" Ala said surveying the scene

Dia nodded, "yeah, that sounds like a great idea. So what kind of outfit would you like?" Dia asked as they walked in and started wading thru the crowd.

"Something comfortable and not restrictive" she said with a chuckled "I'm not really over picky"

Dia nodded, "lets go in there then." she said pointing to a small shop with a few items on mannequins in the window.

Ala nodded and headed for the shop Dia pointed to

The bell over the door jingled, as the 2 girls entered. This shop wasn't as busy as it was outside. Dia said hi to the shop owner and then turned to Ala, "okay, pick out anything you want."

Ala looked around the shop and didn't take long to pick a simple outfit that was comfortable and not restrictive and left the ability open to move her top so she could feed her son

Dia handed Surion back to his mom and paid for the items. "you sure are a cheap date." Dia joked as they left the store.

Ala laughed "Gee thanks what can I say, I'm not one for uber fanciness... ok where to now" she said cuddling her son against her the bag of old clothing hanging from her arm

"Let's head off to the Umaki farm. Marissa should be home, the kids are in school though." she said, leading Ala out of the busy marketplace.

"I wonder if Sean will be there" she said 'innocently' smirking as they walked down the road

Dia laughed. "I hope not...it was hard controlling myself in there as it was, but there was too much female scent to distract me." she chuckled.

"As well as me, and my tail" she grinned

Dia laughed. "thanks for that...by the way."

"Hey there was no way I was gonna let you walk away when I needed someone there" she laughed spying the farm in the not-to distant- distance

dia laughed. "I hope this goes away soon..." she sighed, "I'm giving too many guys unnecessary ego boosts."

Ala laughed "Soon as you can control it I'm sure it will, in the mean time you'll find that mate who is just right for you"

Dia sighed again, "yeah...the funny thing is ... I have the urges, but I like not being attached at the same time. But boys are just...grrr...I want one!" she held her fists up as she grr'ed and then laughed.

Ala giggled "I'm sure you do, perhaps you'll get one even if for a time" she stopped near the gate of the farm

Dia snickered. "yeah." She held the gate open for Ala.

"You sure can make me chuckle Dia" she said with a smile as she entered shifting the position of Surion in her arms as she walked

Dia blushed, "I'm glad I make you smile, although I don't do it on purpose." she smirked.

Ala chuckled "I know, I know but you still do"

When they reached the front door of the house, Dia knocked. Marissa hollered for them to come in.

"Well I guess that means we should go in" she said with a chuckle "Though I doubt she expects it'd be us"

Dia nodded, "yeah." And she pushed the door open to allow Ala to go in first.

Ala smiled and entered the familiar building "Hello?" she called out not sure where in the building Marissa may be"

Marissa came from the back, "Ala! How are you doing! IS that the new baby?" She was excited and rushed right over to look Surion over.

"Sore, but ok... Yes this it Surion" she said repositioning her son in her arms so Marissa could get a better look

"Aww! he's so precious." Marissa was cooing and gushing. "Ala forgot the journal yesterday." Dia mentioned watching Marissa.

Ala chuckled "Not that I forgot it on purpose, it kinda got left on the grass in that box as we rushed out"

Marissa giggled, "I understand dear. How did the birthing go?" She asked, still gushing over the new baby.

"Painfully... ask Dia I was sure I was going to break her hand they way it was going" she chuckled "But I'm glad I didn't since she helped with the delivery"

Marissa looked up to Dia, "you did? that's wonderful. What did you think."

Dia blushed, "it was strange. and LOOKED painful coming out."

Ala laughed "You try squeezing something the size of a watermelon through a 10 centimeter hole and you'll see how hard and painful it can be"

Dia laughed, "yeah, it looked you...blew a bubble down there at first." She ducked just case she was to get swatted.

Ala eyed her and swatted her side with her tail since her arms were currently full

"ow" dia overdramatically cringed and rubbed her arm.

Marissa laughed, "you two are something else. I'll go get the journal so you can finish your errands, I don't want to hold you up much more today." she smiled and started to stand.

"Marissa, I can get it if you tell me where it is, so you can visit with the baby more." Dia stood and smiled.

Ala chuckled "Perhaps Marissa would be interested in holding Surion for a few minutes too" she said to Dia

Marissa beamed, "I'd love to! And Dia, its on the back breezeway on the table in the box." She said as she reached for the baby. Dia nodded and headed towards the back of the house. She lightly sniffed the air and was heard mumbling. "oh no." as she disappeared in to the back.

Ala laughed hearing Dia's words she handed her son to Marissa

"He's beautiful, Ala, you must be so proud. Did his daddy make it in time?" Marissa said softly as she rocked a little holding the baby.

"Plenty of time actually, Surion wasn't born for several hours after he got there, like probably at least another 11 hours, it was a long night to say the least"

Marissa continued smiling, "I can sympathize. My kids all were over 14 hours, biggun's they were, too." she said, an exasperated look on her face. "Maybe I ask how you chose his name? I love hearing the stories behind names." Dia found the journal, and grabbed it but was distracted and wandering out to the back yard.

"Nothing really major really, Surion was a name I read in a book and I liked it. As for his middle name, Asmodeus, that's after a man who has helped my mate through more scrapes then I can count"

Marissa smiled, "That's lovely."

Dia reached the back porch and seen Sean outside mowing the grass. He was sweating so she was able to smell him a bit more than usual. She tried really hard to divert her attention, but just kept slowly getting closer to him.

Ala shook her head "I think I'd better go pull Dia back, then I need to head back to the hospital..." she left her son with Marissa to go fetch the ever-distracted Dia

Dia was standing outside right in front of Sean. He was talking to her, seeming oblivious to the dreamy look on her face as she grinned and kept inching herself closer to him.

Ala wandered up "less you want me to head back on my own, I'm heading out Dia, Torvil is due back soon" she whispered to her

Dia thought she heard Ala's voice, but her trance was a bit stronger because of being around Sean longer than she normally is around boys.

Ala shook her head and tapped her friends head "Kazeha to Dia, come in Dia"

Dia shook her head again, "Ala! I'm so sorry." She turned BRIGHT red. "sorry Sean, I need to get going." and she turned and practically ran into the house, weither Ala followed close behind or not, she didn't know.

"Sorry Sean I need to head out too, Torvil should be back soon" she gave a small wave and walked back into the house, her walk purposeful but sore

Dia was chuckling inside. "holy cow...I'm glad Ala came out there." she said quietly not hearing Ala come in.

"I'm glad I did too or I would have been walking back alone" she said entering the back door

Dia turned and was all shades of red once more. "Ala! I'm sorry."

Ala smiled "It's ok, but I know what you are getting for a gift next time I come" she giggled

Dia chuckled. "I can only guess...a leash?" she laughed and headed back to the front with Ala.

"No... a nose clip" she said with a grin as she headed back to where she had left Surion with Marissa

dia laughed, "I could use one, that's for sure."

"Very much so" she said as they reentered the front room

"Thank you Marissa, for your hospitality and for yesterday." Dia said, bowing, and heading towards the door.

Ala chuckled "Yes Thankyou a lot" she reached for her son half wondering about Dia's hurry to get out of there

Dia held the door open for Ala, her face was still red, but she tried to not look at Marissa or Ala.

Ala cuddled Surion and headed out the door peeking at Dia from the corner of her eye

Dia closed the door and walked with Ala a little ways. "I'm sorry, I needed to leave." she said, frowning a bit.

Ala nodded "I kinda figured that out, you ok?"

Dia nodded, "Ala...I'm not sure, but I think I was reading to jump Sean." she said, turning bright red again.

Ala chuckled softly "who knows maybe he's the one you are destined to be with..." she said continuing towards the town square and hospital

Dia chuckled. "I doubt it...he was just a single sweaty boy."

"One that I had to call you twice to distract you from" she said

Dia smiled, "I was left alone out there with him longer than I normally am with boys.

Ala shook her head "One day Dia, one day"

Dia smiled, "yeah...one day." she said softly. They headed back from the Umaki's out on to the road. "So Ala, when is Torvil meeting you?"

"He should be back sometime in the next half hour forty-five mins... Sent him on a couple errands" she smiled "One being clothing for my lil man"

Dia smiled, "then we should hurry back then. wouldn't want to worry him anymore than he was."

Ala chuckled "You sensed that too eh. I was just too occupied to do anything about it"

Dia nodded, "yeah, I was actually worried about him."

Ala chuckled "He's not a bad guy, he's saved Torvil more then I count"

Dia crooked her brow at Ala, "he has?"

Ala nodded "Yeah, mostly from himself when he's done stupid things like too many direct jumps, he also help Torvil focus to bring back his father"

Dia nodded, "wow." She wasn't sure what to say, as most of the info just went right over her head. "uhm...bring back...from where?"

"The ... other side.. in other words from the dead" Ala said holding Surion closer

"oh. wow...I didn't know...that could be done." Dia said quietly.

"If you practise necromancy it can" she said with a nod

"what is necromancy?" Dia asked, still looking ahead as she walked with Ala.

"Necromancy is the seeking of the spirits of the dead, I don't really know a whole lot more, I've never studied it, can't say I really know a whole lot about it" she admitted

Dia nodded. "well, that's more than I knew about it." she chuckled.

Ala laughed and nodded

"how are Selene and Torvin doing? I still haven't seen them since I've been back." Dia asked.

"Uhm it's been a while since I last saw them I don't really know" she admitted

"Wrapped up in their own lives now, I see." she mused. "I guess that happens sometimes."

Ala nodded "Yeah, I'm gonna try to see them before I leave though"

Dia smiled, "well, tell em they can come see me anytime, I'm usually around."

Ala nodded "I shall try n remember"

The hospital was coming up close. Dia turned to watch Surion in his mom's arms. "he really is cute." she sighed a happy sigh.

Ala looked down at her son now sleeping "Adorable, and I think I'll get to experience much more of it then I did with the twins"

"That's always a blessing." Dia smiled. "you'll have to bring him here often. I'm not really allowed out of the village now." she sighed.

Ala glanced at her friend "What happened to cause that?"

Dia cleared her throat a bit. "the Elders...when they reviewed my account of what happened. They think its best for my protection and they are worried that my grandfather knows about me know."

Ala frowned and nodded "I see.... well I guess it's for the best then" she said knowing she'd miss her friend around hte shop

"They said as long as I have permission and escorts, they might be able to let me...but its on a case by case basis." she sighed. "I don't like having restrictions like this.' she said quietly.

Ala nodded "That's gotta be tough" she said knowing her friend had a very free spirit

Dia nodded. "it is.. I can't return to get my egg...or finish my quest." she sighed, "I'm not sure when I can. I guess I have to prove that I won't get snatched again. I don't know."

"Estra has your egg.... I can bring it here if you want... Telrunya isn't overly far from the shop" she looked over at Dia

"If Estra is caring for it, it might be better off being with its own kind." she said softly.

Ala looked at her... "I got the impression your egg is unlike any Estra has ever seen before, not sure what 'kind' it is"

Dia looked at Ala curiously, "Really? I thought it was just like any other egg from that island."

Ala shook her head "It's wings are different, she's only seen one other egg like it" she told her friend

"Estra's an elder, right? and SHE has only ever seen 2? wow" Dia was intrigued.

Ala nodded "Yeah it wasn't something she expected to see, and she still muses over it"

Dia chuckled, "I'm glad estra likes it."

Ala chuckled "Well what can you expect it's the mother in her"

Dia smiled, "I'll have to find a way to thank her."

"I'd bring her here.. but I don't think I could since she wouldn't see it" Ala mused

Dia laughed, "that's true...plus, doesn't she care for a lot of young ones?"

"Not really, all her's are adults now, only young one she's caring for is your egg" Ala said

Dia chuckled. "oh. I got the impression she was. sorry." she said meekly.

Ala chuckled "She's a grandmother about 5 times over"

Dia laughed. "she looked so young."

Ala nodded "She does, though I think Toga looks younger then she does"

"Who's Toga?"

"Another Pae Elder. She's the elder who controls Estra's opposite... fire" Ala said seeing the hospital in the distance

Dia nodded, "ok. I see. Well, maybe I can meet her someday. Soon, if I have anything to do with it." she chuckled.

Ala chuckled "I hope you do, there's four elders right now and those are two of them"

"Are the Elders the same as they are here?"

"Not entirely sure, they are set as Elders by the guardians and given the power over a different element. Estra has water, Toga has Fire, Ceri has healing and Sol has the Sun"

"Oh, they aren't the governing body of the island tho?"

"Not really, I dont think there is a specific governing body, they more protect the island and the inhabitants" she said musing over it

"That sounds neat. Its a great place to go. I liked it there." Dia smiled.

Ala nodded "I liked it there too, mind you it's also where I met my mate"

"That's where you met him? how romantic."

Ala chuckled "He's the guardian of Estra's Husband"

"oh wow, thats neat." Dia smiled.

Ala nodded "Yeah, I think so..." she sighed softly and purred "Now he's my mate, my husband and the father of my children"

Dia smiled. "I'm glad you're happy, Ala."

Ala looked over at her "I hope you are happy about most things in your life too Dia"

"For the most part...a few things still missing, but I'm young still." she chuckled.

"Aye you are, you've got a lot of years yet, so do I...." she said with a nod

Dia smiled. They reached the hospital, and Dia held the door open for Ala.

Ala wandered through the doors "You know... now that I think about it it was kinda humorous to see that many women scramble"

Dia laughed, "yeah, it was."

"I didn't realize I said it loud enough... but at the same time I guess it was a good thing they did hear me" she mused

Dia smiled, "you'll be the talk of all their get-togethers, they'll prolly invite you to them now too."

Ala laughed "Who knows Dia, who knows... Lets just hope the next one doesn't end in a mad dash"

Dia let out a healthy laugh. "no doubt!"

"Not that I intend to get pregnant again any time soon" she smirked

Dia chuckled. "can you, tho...if you wanted to?"

Ala shrugged "I don't know, When I had the twins I was 100% Kerrsalian... not I'm not more then 20% so I don't know how it will effect..." she admitted

Dia nodded. "will there be a point when you aren't Kerrsal at all?"

"I doubt it, but I can't tell, I don't know what my body will or will not do" she said

"That must be tough...to not know...but I guess I can sympathize...even just a little."

"You never know if something will change for you so yeah I believe you can sympathize" Ala nodded

Dia smiled. "I'm hoping nothing else changes." she chuckled.

Ala smiled softly "I believe you, in a way same here"

Dia smiled and looked around in the hospital as they entered, "so when do you suppose Torvil will be here?"

Ala looked around for the time "Soon I imagine" she said

Dia smiled, "well, we can just go up to your room and talk till he comes, right?"

"Or till you ahve to head out whichever comes first' she said heading for the ramp they came down using

"I left all day clear." she chuckled.

Ala smiled "I would imagine, after all not everyday you become a god-mom"

Dia smiled. "thank you again...for that honor."

"You deserve it, not only are you my best friend, but you helped me when I needed it most" she said softly

Dia smiled and leaned over to give Ala a hug.

Ala smiled letting her friend give her and her son a hug

Dia smiled, "can I hold him again?"

Ala nodded and passed Surion to Dia as they approached the room

Dia gently took Surion and cradled him in her arms. "not a single fuss the whole time." she whispered.

Ala chuckled "No not really" she looked over her friends shoulder watching with an inward laugh as her son crinkled his lil nose "But there might be soon"

Dia looked at Surion..."do I smell...?"

Ala laughed "Poop" she said with a nod

Dia crinkled her face up. "uhm...should I put him a bathtub?"

Ala shook her head "Nope just gotta get some wipes and a diaper" she said entering the room and searching for just that

Dia laid him on the bed slowly and backed away. "for being a little guy, he sure packs a punch."

Ala laughed "Yeah well that's what babies are about I guess" she said returning with what she needed and getting down to work

Dia stuck her tongue out while making an 'ew' face. "I guess it comes with the territory." she chuckled.

Ala laughed "Yes it does" she said disposing of the soiled diaper and picking up her now-clean son and his blanket and turned back to Dia "He's safe now" she giggled

Dia held her arms out again, "are you sure?" she chuckled

Ala laughed and nodded "Yup"

Dia held Surion again, laid him on her chest and whispered in his ear. "only poop on mommy and daddy, k?"

Ala giggled "I have a feeling mommy and daddy will get their share"

Dia laughed. Surion was wide awake, so she bounced a little with him and swirled around. "I think he likes to dance." she smiled.

Surion watched her and with no warning, Dia soon had spit-up on her

Ala burst into laughter, she couldn't help it

Dia's face turned green. "uhm...Ala ..."

Ala curbed her laughter and took her son from Dia "you've been christened"

Dia just stood there dripping spit-up down her shirt. "uhm ... "

Ala looked around and grabbed a cloth and passed it to Dia

Dia wiped the uck off of her. "uhm.. I need to wash my shirt, I will be right back." and she went to the ensuite bathroom, removed her shirt and washed it. Several minutes later, she emerges wearing a very wet top.

Ala chuckled and put her son down in the bassinette and walked over her eyes shifted green as she did and started helping Dia by pushing the water from the fibers

Dia watched with amazements. "holy cow! you can dry stuff with water?"

Ala shook her head "No but I can control it and I'm pushing it out" she motioned at the puddle of water on the floor "I do it often with my hair"

Dia looked, "that's so cool." she smiled.

"Saves being wet all day doesn't it?" she laughed

"yeah." Dia chuckled. "I'm going to let you hold Surion I think...or start bringing change of clothes with me." she mused

Ala laughed "Or don't bounce him"

Dia smiled meekly. "yeah..."

Ala smiled "You'll get used to it eventually" she said leaving the mostly dry Dia her eyes returning to blue as she returned to pick up her son and take a seat in the rocker

Dia went and sat on the bed across from Ala. "I wonder if I'd make a good mom." she said, merely thinking out loud.

"I think you would, once you got used to poopy diapers and spit up" she grinned, Surion fed from her as she slowly rocked

Dia watched Ala feed Surion. "I'm sorry if I stare...its an amazing thing to me...life...babies." she smiled.

Ala nodded "Aye I only got a day of it from the twins... it feels kinda neat I'm glad to experience the bonding it brings for a longer period of time"

Dia smiled. "that's cool. I wonder what Selene and Torvin think of having a baby brother." she said quietly.

"somehow I think they'll like it, but may be surprised they only have one new sibling" Ala mused

Dia chuckled. "oh yeah, you guys are prone to more, I forgot about that."

"Prone to more if ht mother isn't an undead" she said chuckling

Dia laughed, "but what are those chances?"

Ala looked at her "Vina comes from the womb of an undead... her mother was a pure vampire"

Dia blushed, embarrassed, "I meant of you becoming undead."

Ala laughed "Lil to none" she said lifting Surion from her breast to burp

Dia smiled. "so uhm...Ala ... can I ask about that one guy again?"

"As? Ok I'm not sure how much I can really tell you I barely know him" she said

Dia smiled, "that's okay.. I was just curious is all. why does he smell different than other boys?"

"When you spend your days around dead people I wouldn't be shocked if you did smell different... I don't really know specifics" Ala smiled softly

Dia chuckled. "He smells like, 10 boys in one...its weird."

Ala laughed "That's gotta be a weird sensation"

Dia nodded fast. "yeah it was...otherwise I wouldn't have made such an issue for nose plugs." she blushed a little.

Ala chuckled "I hope I didn't put your legs to sleep leaning on them"

Dia shook her head. "no, I'm grateful you did that." she chuckled.

Ala chuckled "Why is that"

Dia blushed. "even with the nose plugs...I still could smell him."

Ala burst out in giggles "Dia Dia Dia, hopefully that doesn't drive you too crazy for too long"

Dia laughed. "I'm 'fraid it will. But I will eventually figure something out."

Ala shook her head "Maybe you need something that will dull your sense of smell"

Dia sighed, "mom said I can't, its just developing, I might stunt it ... or cause damage to it...I dunno...she says to leave it alone." she frowned a bit.

Ala made a face "Well that's no good"

"I think Mom and Iyashu are co-conspiriting against me right now." she grumbled light-heartedly.

Ala chuckled "Seems like it doesn't it" Ala shook her head

Dia nodded, and chuckled, "you'd think...but they just want me to come out of my shell...because Kazeha is changing."

"Come out of your shell is one thing but to go nuts is another" Ala mused

"no kidding." she laughed, "I tried to tell them...but nooooo."

Ala shook her head "I can only imagine, but then I spent the last few weeks with basically no sense of smell less the item was right up against my nose..."

Dia chuckled, "sometimes, I think it'd be worth it. Who knows who I'm going to end up pouncing." she laughed.

Ala laughed "I think you almost pounced Sean today"

Dia laughed, "yeah." she turned a bit red. "he's hot and all...but he's like, I dunno, too much like a brother."

Dia looked all shifty-like and whispered, "know what Kito does to keep me from jumping him?"

"Eat donuts?" she said with a sly grin "Or perhaps that lavender powder of his"

Dia laughed and put her finger on her nose.

Ala quirked a brow "poke your nose?"

Dia shook her head, "no silly, I mean, you got it on the nose, he uses that lavender powder to try to smell like a woman."

Ala burst out laughing, she laughed hard enough that she woke her son from his light sleep and he looked around with a startled expression

Dia laughed with her friend. She so enjoyed Ala's company.

"Well whatever works I guess" she said thinking of how he used it against her mom's dogs too

"yeah...he thinks that powder is some kind of cure-all." she chuckled.

Ala chuckled "Well it works on you at lest if not the dogs"

Dia nodded. "yeah, he smells like his mom now."

Ala chuckled "A real 'turnon' I'm sure" she winked

Dia laughed, "oh let me tell you..."

Ala laughed and got up bringing her son to the bassinette and putting his almost asleep form into it with his blanket

Dia smiled, "He's adorable, Ala. I don't know if I can say enough things to say how adorable. "

Ala chuckled "He's perfect, I couldn't have asked for more..." she purred softly

Dia nodded. "aye! he is." she said, as she walked over to look at him in the bassinette.

Surion sucked softly on his thumb clutching his blanket tightly

Dia smiled, "that's a beautiful blanket. Did you make it?"

Ala shook her head "No it was a gift" she fingered softly the two dragons on he fabric "t's very soft though, and comforting..."

Dia reached in, "wow, it is soft. Who gave it to you?"

"Visha..." she said she knew it would be a hard thing to believe and hoped she didn't have to explain it

Dia smiled, "who's Visha?"

"Someone distantly related to Torvil's family" she said with a small smile

"That's sweet of her....it is a her, right?" Dia smiled sheepishly.

Ala chuckled "Yes.. it's a her"

Dia smiled. "what is the pattern on it, it looks kind of like...dragons."

"Two dragons, necks and tails intertwined, claws holding each other's paw almost kinda like the .." she paused to think "I think you guys call it snake hand thingy??... he black dragon is on a field of red and the red is on a field of black" she finished

Dia grinned. "Is it symbolic?"

Ala laughed "It's two dragons in the mating position" she blushed lightly

Dia crooked her head a bit. "lovely." she teased. "do you and Torvil ever look like those kind of dragons?"

"Erm ... no... We look like normal people.. for the most part..." she said turning a shade brighter red

Dia laughed and poked Ala in the shoulder, "silly, I didn't mean when you two made love, I meant...ever, you are dragon, right? But you look nothing like my dragons, which is why I asked."

"Full to me is this plus my wings... I think full to Torvil is what he is plus wings.. I know his mother can change to a complete dragon... minus wings" Ala said

Dia nodded. "I wonder if my dragons can look human." she said thinking out loud.

Ala shrugged "I dunno, I suppose anything could be possible" she mused

Dia chuckled, "yeah, I'll just have to ask next time."

Ala chuckled "Yea Guess you will"

Dia smiled and moved to sit on the bed again. "so...what did you think of the tunic my mom made for you?"

"It's nice" Ala said lifting the bag up from the floor "She's a pretty crafty person"

Dia smiled, "I picked the fabrics for it. I thought you would the colors. She's teaching me to sew in my spare time...which is abundant these days."

Ala nodded "I suppose it would be if you can't leave the village... I hope that changes" she nodded

Dia nodded. "Yeah...I will sneak out if I have to...now that I have...alternate transportation" she chuckled.

Ala chuckled "Once you get past your fears... Oh that reminds me did you locate Sabi?"

Dia frowned, "I haven't. Daishu said he seen her a few days after the Easter egg thing...but not since."

Ala frowned "Perhaps I should send the alphas out looking for her... it's not good to have a missing Balan"

Dia felt really bad. "I know. I feel terrible. Kito and Nim said she was going to look for me. I told her to only go to the shop and here...but..."

Ala frowned softly and walked over to her friend "I'll send Star and Shade after her, they should be able to find her with all hopes" she gave Dia a hug

"I want to look for her, but the Elder's say she's independent enough that she will return on her own." She sniffed, about to cry.

"She'll be ok Dia, I know she's a strong young lady... " she wrapped her arms around her friend to comfort

"Thank you, Ala. I do miss her so much. Its been month's since I've seen her.." Dia sobbed into Ala's shoulder.

Ala noded making a mental note to send the two Balan out as soon as she could as she hugged Dia close

"thank you." she said again, lifting her head from Ala's shoulder. "I'm sorry I took such bad care of her."

"You did no such thing... it's not your fault you got swiped , and to prove you didn't just think about it... Sabi cares enough about you to go looking for you alone" Ala said

dia wiped a tear. "thank you ala."

Ala smiled softly "You are welcome, for it's true" she said wiping another tear from her friend's face

Dia smiled and noticed the clock on the wall. "is Torvil late?"

Ala shrugged "Dunno"

Dia smiled, "well Ala, unless you want to join me, I think its time I head out for dinner. You'll have to come see me soon, and show my mom Surion."

Ala smiled softly "I appreciate your visit, and company but I think Torvil would get worried if I'm not here when he arrives" she said wishing she could

dia nodded, "that's fine, you always have an open rain check for a visit to my house." she hugged ala tight once more and stood up.

Ala chuckled "Thanks D I appreciate it" she returned the hug

Dia want and gave Surion a little kiss on his cheek and went to the door. "Tell Torvil hi for me, and I hope to see you again soon." she waved and headed out the door.

"You bet enjoy your dinner Dia" she said and relaxed onto the bed to wait for her mate

Dia made her way down to the receptionist and waved good by to her too, and headed home, holding her nose closed the whole way.

Dear Diary

Dia came to visit me and we went to get the journal. Her mom made me a fantastic tunic. Not entirely sure wear all i'll wear it but it's still quite nice. Dia also got 'christened'... Surion spit up on her, guess I shoulda warned about bouncing......

Heading home

Torvil walked back into the room, two bags over his shoulders. "I didn't know how much we needed so I kind brought it... All..."

Ala looked up from the journal she was writing in, Dia had headed back out leaving her and Surion to wait for Torvil. She giggled seeing how much he brought "Depends on what we are doing from here I guess."

"We could get a house here like the cliffs..." He said softly. "Unless you have other plans."

Ala chuckled "We don't need a house here love, we are only half hour from home."

Torvil chuckled, and and sat down on the bed softly, reaching to touch their son's face. "How's he doing?"

"Good, he's been a quiet lil guy all day" Ala said with a smile

Surion looked up blinking and sucking his thumb clinging to the corner of the blanket in his little fist

Torvil smiled and leaned down to kiss his son's forehead. "Hello Lil Surion..." He smiled and brushed his cheek softly.

Surion let go of his thumb and turned his head towards his father's hand toothless mouth open trying to suckle

Torvil chuckled softly. "Is that a reflex?" He asked softly.

Ala giggled "He's hungry, so in a way yes, if you stroke an infants cheek and they go after your hand they are searching for food"

Torvil smiled. "You gonna feed him? Cause I can't..." He sighed sadly at that... and kissing Surion's head again.

Ala chuckled "He needs his bottom changed too. You can do that much"

Torvil nodded and picked Surion up, moving to go change his diaper.

Ala smiled "put some clothes on him too, your choice what" she said eying the big bags

Torvil smiled softly and swiftly changed him, then grabbed a red and black outfit, slipping it on him with a smile, and then held him, rocking him as he walked back to the bed.

"Don't forget his blanket, he seems to be hooked to it" Ala said watching Surion's little hands opening and closing

Torvil smiled and moved over to the bed, getting his blanket and put it in his son's hands.

Ala smiled having put the journal aside she reached for him "He's so cute" she said softly

Torvil grudgingly gave Ala Surion with a smile. "Yes he is..." He sat down next to her.

Ala chuckled "You can have him back after he's fed" she said as she brought him to her and nursed him

Torvil smiled softly. "I'll burp him..." He purred softly, watching.

Ala nodded "Course you can" she smiled and watched him "You seemed exhausted by the time it was all over last night and i was the one in labor"

Torvil chuckled. "A lot of stress leaving the body fast..." He smiled and brushed her hair. "And I did jump here... Not directly..."

Ala chuckled "You would have had time to fly with how long it took"

Torvil smiled. "I didn't know that... and I was kinda in a panic..." He smiled softly and kissed her cheek.

"Figured you might have been... I didn't know how long it would take either, Cariss sent Lene for you" she said with a smile

Torvil chuckled and smiled. "Oh? Who's that..." He knew very little of the people here in Kazeha... And that saddened him a bit...

"Alix's older sister, Alix has 3 or 4 siblings I believe" she said running her fingers along her son's tail as she spoke

Torvil smiled. "He's got a tail..." he said softly. "I wish I still had mine...."

"How did you ... lose yours?" Ala asked unsure if it was a touchy subject or not

"One of the changes..." he said softly. "I don't know which one exactly..."

"Oh.... I see, so I know Lene knows... does Vin?" she asked taking her son from her breast as he finished and handing him to his father

Torvil smiled and patted his back. "I don't know..." He said softly.

Ala chuckled "Guess they should know before we leave huh"

Torvil chuckled... And was about to talk when.

"Little brother where!" Torvin stuck his head in the door.

Ala laughed "Hello son come on in" she said straightening the top Dia had bought for her

Torvin smiled and entered. "Wow... He's big... and tailed..." He smiled softly walking over.

Torvil smiled and moved Surion after he burped, rocking him softly.

Ala laughed "Yes, though I doubt he will grow anywhere near as fast as you and Lene"

Torvin chuckled. "Probably a good thing..." He smiled and un wrapped his tail from around his waist, having gotten used to hiding it like a belt. He brushed his little brother's face with the tip.

Ala quirked a brow having not seen her son this visit till now

Selene poked her own head around the corner followed by two more faces

Torvin smiled and looked up. "Hey sis..."

Torvil chuckled and purred softly, kissing Surion's forehead. "I swear... A stampede soon..."

Ala laughed at her mate's words

Selene chuckled "Not sure bout stampede, but these two want to meet their new uncle" she said followed by two young girls

Torvil raised a brow, having not know Selene had produced children again. "Well now... I see Ala and I haven't been the only ones busy..."

Torvin chuckled softly.

Selene blushed hotly "They weren't exactly..... planned but yeah... Syanne and Corine" she introduced them

Torvil smiled. "Well, say hello to your uncle and grandparent's they can..." He nodded his head, showing off Surion happily.

Torvin moved against the wall, his tail flicking about softly, a smile on his face.

Selene leaned against he wall next to her twin as her girls moved over to visit their grandfather and uncle "Well least he's calmer then he was yesterday" she sad her own tail wrapping itself once around Vin's unsure if he'd even noticed it before

Torvin smiled. "I see it sis..." He chuckled. "I can feel it too..." He shivered.

Torvil smiled as the girls visited, gushing with fatherly pride.

Lene laughed and let hers swing loosely "One kid, who woulda thought eh" she said watching their father

Ala had disappeared into the bathroom

Torvin chuckled. "I'm not too surprised, all things considered... Look at the size of him..."

"Bigger then either of us were I would guess" she laughed "Oh well, whatever makes mom and dad happy"

Torvin nodded and chuckled softly. "Mmmhm... I'm thinking we should get married soon, the four of us..." He looked up at the roof. "All these babies are pushing my buttons..."

Selene chuckled "I'm not sure yet what Alix and I are doing, I wouldn't mind combining all 3 heritage styles together myself..."

Torvin chuckled. "That would be fun I think... Especially if we went with a Dragon style honey moon..."

Selene laughed "Yeah"

Torvil smiled softly and chuckled. "I wonder though, if Kimi, I, and Alix can get off work long enough... Two days is a long time..." He chuckled again. "And I wonder who would make the loud noises..."

"And I'd have to get the triplets to baby-sit" she said with a laugh "Naoma that's one story... they boys seem to be hitting a sort of rebellious stage"

Torvin shook his head. " I hope they pull out of that... Naoma's great thought... She beat my record..."

"She WHAT!" Torvil's head shot up.

Selene blinked looking up at her father

Surion whimpered softly he wasn't a fan of loud voices

Torvil frowned and kissed his son. "Sorry lil Surion..." He brushed his face softly, kissing his forehead. "So she beat your record of five minutes eh?"

Torvin nodded slowly. "By a minute..."

"You know I added a mintue to your time for sharpening your pencil right?"

"No..."

Selene giggled listening to hte exchange

Ala wandered back into the room with a smile

Torvin blinked. "So really I did it about the same time?"

"Yep..." Torvil said softly, rocking Surion and then playing peek-a-boo with his blanket.

Selene smirked "That's gotta make you feel better I imagine"

Surion blinked a few times every time the blanket was pulled away and latched firmly to one corner

Torvil chuckled softly and kissed his son's forehead. "You love your blanky from Grammy Visha don't you?"

Torvin's eyes widened.

Selene stared at her father "What did you say dad?"

"The blanket is from Visha... She gave it to us before Surion was born..." He smiled.

Torvin looked down at the floor, in awe.

"First me bolting outta here, then the other side, now Visha... man this is a crazy few days" Selene shook her head

Torvin looked at his sister. "You've been to other side?" He said softly.

Torvil frowned and stroked Surion's head.

"Uhmm... briefly...." she mumbled hearing her brother's question and seeing her father's face

"Lucky...." he said softly, a little jealous, but not getting mad. "I'm sure Dad didn't have a choice..."

"I didn't..." He murmured.

"I kinda threw myself at him, I said I'd bring him back, woulda been damned if he had shown up without me" she mumbled staring at hte floor

"It's okay..." Torvin said softly.

Torvil smiled and rocked Surion, kissing the little boy's forehead.

Selene sighed welll the girls and I should get going, feel free to drop by for visits" she looked pointedly at her twin who rarely did visit

Torvin smiled. "I'll go with you, it's been awhile and I want to visit..." he said, getting ready to go with her.

Torvil smiled. "We'll be by from time to time... His god-mum is here..." He looked to Ala, she didn't have to tell him, he knew already...

Ala smiled and nodded

Lene blinked turning in the doorway "Chose a god-mom already?"

Torvil smiled. "Not hard... She helped birth him... I've chosen a God-Father... If your mother will take him..."

Selene chuckled "I guess that makes sense, see you guys later I gotta catch up to the girls" she pointed down the hall and disappeared

Torvin followed his sister waving.

Torvil looked up at Ala. "I'm sure you know already who I chose right?" He chuckled. "Cause I know that you chose Dia... She's the obvious choice and the one I wanted to be as well..."

"I'm going to guess you are about to say As" she said

Torvil smiled. "Yeah... Your thoughts?" He asked softly./

"I really barely know him I can't say I really have thoughts in either direction" she said

Torvil looked up at her. "I want him to be... But if you don't know..." He said softly looking down at Surion. "The boy has his name..." He brushed Surion's cheek.

"Lene's son has your father's name too and neither twin has ever met him nor has the kids... " she sighed "I don't know either way, I don't know almost anything about him. I've seen him twice... " she bit her lip

Torvil nodded. "Then I won't ask him..." he said softly, and looked up at her, brushing Surion's cheek softly. "He'll understand..."

"I think I'd need to get to know him better first then I'd feel more comfortable if that makes any sense" Ala said looking up at him

Torvil nodded. "I'll talk to him about it..." He said softly, smiling up at her, and kissing Surion's head.

Ala looked around then started gathering together everything "So where to from here? Home or elsewhere?"

Torvil purred. "I was thinking... That we should head home... I want Surion to see his room..."

Ala nodded "All right" she put everything that was loose in a couple bags

Torvil held Surion. "Ummm... Who's going to hold him while we... go home..." He whispered.

"I don't think I could carry these many bags... Not right now at least, so I have a feeling it'll be me" she said

Torvil nodded and handed Surion off to Ala and got up to get the bags.

Ala purred softly wrapping the blanket around him and holding him close

Torvil smiled and grabbed all the bags, ready to head out. "Alright, lets go..." He purred at Ala.

Ala nodded and headed for the door "Need to stop and grab the birth records from the front desk" she told him

Torvil nodded and walked with her, and smiled. "Okay."

Ala purred and nuzzled her son heading for the ramp to the first floor

Torvil purred and walked with them, laden down with all the bags was nothing to him.

"I guess Surion needs a new nickname... Bump probably isn't appropriate anymore" she giggled

Torvil chuckled. "Yeah... Good point..." He tapped his chin. "Hmmm... Surry?" He smirked. "Lil Sur?" He chuckled.

Ala laughed "We might wind up with diff nicknames for him" she said stepping away from the ramp

Torvil chuckled. "Hmmm, cuddlebug?" He chuckled softly. Okay yeah... He sucked at nicknames...

Ala giggled and walked to the counter to sign out and get the papers

Torvil smiled and held the bags, waiting for her to finish up.

Ala smiled walking back to him holding the papers for him to take and put in a bag

Torvil smiled and took them, securing them away in one of the bags and smiled softly. "Alright lets head home..."

Ala nodded "Lets" she turned and headed out the doors

Torvil purred and smiled, heading out the door right behind her. "Mmm, hope Surion likes his room."

"I can't see why he wouldn't, it was made for him" she said with a chuckle

Torvil purred louder. "But the painting kinda sucks on the wall..." He sighed. "I should have let you do it..."

"The painting is wonderful love" she said resting her head on his shoulder

Torvil purred. "Really?" He asked softly.

Ala nodded "really really love"

Torvil smiled and nodded, wrapping an arm around her and kissing her and Surion. He walked with them out of the city.

Ala smiled and broke away once they exited the village and unfurled her wings looking back at him ready to take to the sky and holding Surion firmly

Torvil took to the the air, following close behind his wife and son, ready to ditch the bags and catch either if something happened. Yeah, sitll a litttel worried there..."

Ala hummed softly to her son feeling no where near as winded as her trip to Kazeha

Torvil smiled, seeing their home in the distance a bit later. He slowly started to slow and circle.

"Almost home, and what an eventful couple of days it has been" she said seeing hte house

Torvil nodded. "Yep..." He chuckled softly, landing softly and looking up at his wife, waiting for her to land to head in.

Ala touched down softly then smiled down at her son while she folded her wings in

Torvil smiled. "How's he holding up?" He chuckled heading inside slowly, wanting to put the stuff up.

"Asleep" she said with a quiet giggle

Torvil smiled. "Such a calm child..." He said softly. "Do you mind if I put his crib in our room?" He asked softly. "I don't want him all the way down the hall yet..."

"No I don't mind, will make it easier to get him for feeding in the night" Ala smiled and wandered into their room and sat on the bed's edge

Torvil nodded putting the stuff up and bringing the crib into their room, putting it down onto the floor at the end of the bed.

"You know what this means though right?" Ala chuckled

Torvil chuckled. "Yeah... I know... I'm fine with it..." He smiled at her. "I'm really not in the mood to at all... To tell the truth..."

"I'm a lil.... sore ... down there personally" she chuckled

Torvil nodded and sat down on the bed next to her. "Sides..." he kissed her cheek. "I think Lil Sur would just ruin the mood somehow..." He chuckled.

Ala chuckled "true" she got up and lay their sleeping son in his crib making sure the blanket covered him before returning to the bed and flopping backwards

Torvil purred and lay next to her, cuddling with her and running a hand up and down her side with a smile. "Love you, mommy..."

"Love you too daddy dearest" she said softly

Torvil purred and kissed the side of her head. "Tired?" He asked softly.

Ala nodded slightly "A little, long night"

Torvil smiled. "Need to sleep?" He asked her softly.

"Probably a nap might be nice" she said softly

Torvil nodded and pulled her closer and hugged her.

Ala purred softly and closed her eyes dozing against his chest

Torvil purred and smiled, brushing her hair and dozing as well.

Ala slept till her motherly instinct roused her to hear her son cooing and blowing bubbles

Torvil was already out of bed, heading for the crib, reaching down to pick up the boy.

Surion looked up at his father his hands moving around in no particular direction one hand still firmly gripping the blanket

Torvil smiled and picked him up, wrapping him up in the blanket and rocking him as he brought him over to Ala.

Ala sat up and pushed the pillows around resting against the headboard

Torvil smiled and handed her Surion as he sat next to her. He kissed her ear and nuzzled her ear.

"I kinda like he's not growing as fast as the twins" she said softly bringing him to herself to feed

Torvil purred and nodded. "Mmmmmm... yeah..." He cuddled with her and smiled as Surion fed.

Ala purred softly "Feels so nice to actually hold him in my arms"

Torvil nodded. "Mmmhm... It's nice..." He looked down at his son. "I'm so happy..." He sniffled.

Ala nodded "You glad you got a son from this mini-clutch?"

Torvil nodded and purred. "Yeah... A daughter would have just been just as good... But I think Torvin is happy..."

Ala laughed "I kinda sensed that" she watched her son feed running a finger along his cheek

Torvil purred and brushed his head with a finger. "He's so big..." He smiled.

"Over 8 pounds nearly 9" she said having had a person at the hospital weigh him

Torvil smiled. "I'm sorry..." He said, kissing her cheek..."

Ala looked up at him "For what? He's healthy, being he was the only one in there thats a good weight"

Torvil brushed her hair. "But you were in so much pain..." He said softly, kissing her cheek.

"It was worth it" she said softly

Torvil nodded. "I wish I could have helped you more..." he sighed.

"You helped me by being there, and supporting me, that's what really matters Torvil" she told him lifting Surion to her shoulder for a burp

Torvil nodded and brushed her hair, then Little Surion's cheek. "He's so adorable..." He beamed brightly.

Ala nodded tipping him back against her bent knees she he was facing her upright "Going to grow into a strong diligent young man I think"

Torvil smiled. "I don't know how much of me is in him..." He brushed the boy's cheek. "Hopefully just enough..."

"I'm sure there is a lot of you in him, just as there is me" she said tapping Surion's hands together while he held her fingertips

Torvil smiled and leaned against Ala lightly. "He's a little dear isn't he..." He softly pushed Surion's nose with a finger.

"He has to be one of the most calm and tranquil children I've ever met" Ala said with a chuckle listening to the coos

Torvil chuckled. "Yeah, less noisy than the twins..." He chuckled and brushed Surion's cheek with a finger again. "He's a little chubby too... It's cute..."

"Very cute, I think we got truly blessed Torvil" she said with a nod

Torvil smiled. "That we did Ala-love... That we did..." He smiled and kissed her cheek. "We have many to thank for this miracle..."

Ala purred softly "Many many. Including those who helped us over the last 24 hours"

Torvil nodded. "Aye..." he kissed her ear and then smiled at Surion. "He's so sweet..." He brushed his son's cheek again.

Ala lifted him being mindful of his head and handed him to his father

Torvil took Surion into his arms and rocked him, he made sure the blanket was wrapped around him and he raided softly kissed onto his son's head. "Daddy loves you very much little Surion..." He purred loudly, rumbling as he started to hum the Dragon's Lullaby.

Surion cooed softly listening to the humming

Ala began to doze again

Torvil smiled. "Mommy's falling asleep..." he said to Surion, as he rocked and hummed, kissing the boy's forehead every once and awhile..."

Surion gurgled and blew bubbles

Torvil chuckled and bounced Surion lightly in his arms. "You're so silly lil Sur..." He nuzzled his son.

Surion's lil arms waved around happily

Torvil smiled and played with Surion gently with his hand, smiling the whole time.

Ala woke about an hour later and opened her eyes to the sounds of her mate playing with their son, further inspection saw the infant crinkling his nose up

Torvil lifted their son and looked at Ala. "What's he doing?" He asked softly.

Ala giggled "Pooping" she said as a familiar scent reached her nose

Torvil grunted and got up, moving out of the room with Surion to go change him.

Ala chuckled and got up following him

Torvil had Surion on the changing table in the nursery, and was quickly working on changing his diaper.

Ala purred and looked over his shoulder "you'll figure out the signs love" she said

Torvil chuckled softly. "Nose crinkle = poo..." he said, wiping Surion and putting a new Diaper on him.

Ala laughed "Something like that"

Torvil picked the now changed Surion up and help him. "Next he might spit up..." he chuckled.

"That he might... he'll do all those baby things a lot longer then the twins or Vina did" Ala nodded

Torvil smiled. "Can't wait..." he chuckled. "As strange as that sounds I'm enjoying this..." he cooed at Surion.

Ala giggled "So am I..." she looked down at their son with a wide smile

Torvil smiled and headed back towards the bedroom. "You want to hold him? I've had him for a good hour..." he didn't want to stop holding his son, but Ala was his mother...

"I had him all morning and part of the afternoon love, you need time to bond too" she said softly

Torvil smiled and nodded, holding Surion with a happy grin. "Yeah... Daddy time..." he looked down into his son's face.

Surion looked up at him and gurgled and blew bubbles waving his little arms around

Torvil laughed softly and waved at him, before sitting back down on the bed and sitting Surion on his knees. He unswaddled him and draped the blanket over his head, lifting it up. "I see you.."

Ala chuckled softly wandering to the kitchen for something to eat, she was still feeding two but in a different way

Surion blinked and cooed

Torvil smiled and put the blanket back down. "Ah! Where did Surion go?" He lifted the blanket. "Ah! There you are!"

Surion's eyes lit up and he cooed every time his father lifted the blanket

Torvil chuckled and started to give Surion little pecks on the forehead every time he lifted the blanket.

Surion gurgled happy gurgles putting his hands on his father's face every time it came near even if those hands were brought there by swinging arms

Ala stood in the doorway munching on a sandwich and watched

Torvil laughed softly and kissed at Surion's hands now. "Hehe... My sweet Lil Sur..." he nuzzled them with a big smile. "Daddy loves you..."

"You look to be enjoying yourself" Ala said softly

Torvil looked up. "Hey... Yeah I am..." He smirked and lifted up Surion's shirt, burbling his little belly lightly.

Ala chuckled "I'm glad" she came and sat beside him

Surion blew more bubbles with each razz

Torvil sat up slowly and brushed his son's face. "You're so adorable Surion..."

Surion cooed and yawned in reply

Torvil smiled and picked him up, humming softly again.

Ala smiled "You make a wonderful father love" she said softly "For both fast growing and slow growing children"

Torvil chuckled softly, and smiled at her, still humming as he rocked Surion.

Surion soon had his little thumb in his mouth and his blanket scrunched in his fist and his eyes were almost closed

Torvil smiled and kept up the Dragon's lullaby, signing it's wordless melody.

Ala was fighting sleep listening to the lullaby and Surion... was gone

Torvil smiled and kissed his son's forehead, slowly stopping as he moved to put him in his crib again.

"Somehow I think that blankie is going to be his fave" she murmured watching him

Torvil smiled. "I would hope..." he chuckled.

Ala nodded "I think you are enjoying his... and I don't know I'll be doing much work in the shop for a bit either..."

Torvil nodded. "But I have to..." he sighed loudly.

Ala sighed "Well least the house is only a few yards away"

Torvil sighed. "Not the same..." He frowned.

Ala nodded and looked at the bed

Torvil sat down. "I guess I could take a day or two off..."

Ala nodded "I think the keeper would understand"

Torvil nodded. "I'm sure... I think at most I can set up a few things on Auto, and erect the grave marker..."

Ala nodded "I can totally understand you wanting to spend time with your newborn son"

Torvil smiled. "Our... newborn son..." He corrected her.

Ala laughed "our son" she smiled and motioned him to her

Torvil moved do her and sat down.

Ala cuddled up next to him, something she hadn't done since before her trip to Kazeha

Torvil purred and pulled her close. "Mmmm... So nice not to be separated by Surion isn't it..." He smiled and brushed her hair.

"To some degree yes, can certainly cuddle closer" she purred

Torvil smiled and kissed her softly. "I love you..." He brushed her hair happily.

"I love you too, more then I could ever say" she purred back

Torvil smiled and kissed her forehead, humming the dragon's lullaby softly as he held her closer than he ha been able before.

Ala nuzzled close and yawned her mate's lullaby making her rather sleepy

Torvil hugged her close, wanting her to doze, so he kept humming.

Ala did just that fell asleep against him

Torvil cuddled with his sleeping wife happily, listening for Surion

Ala breathed softly against him

Torvil closed his eyes and napped.

The smells of a soiled diaper and the sounds of a mildly upset young man wafted towards the sleeping pair

Torvil jerked up almost instantly and started to scramble towards the crib.

Ala sleepily opened her eyes "huh?" then caught the scent "oh.." she looked towards the crib

Torvil got out of bed and was moving to get him again.

Ala sat up "Well least we know one of us wakes up easily" she mused

Torvil chuckled weakly. "I was only dozing..." he murmured, picking up Surion and rushing for the nursery to change him.

Ala chuckled and followed after him

He softly put Surion down and started changing him. "He's getting well fed..." He smiled.

Ala laughed "Seems to be" she went to the dresser and pulled out a crimson sleeper which she then adjusted to take into consideration her son's tail and brought it to Torvil "put this on him too"

Torvil finished changing his diaper and changed him into the Sleeper.

"One handsome little boy" she purred looking over her mate's shoulder

Torvil smiled. "You want to put him to bed?"

"He needs food first I think" she said picking him up and watching him root around

Torvil smiled. "Then lets get him fed..." He said with a soft chuckled.

Ala nodded "Love can you bring that rocker into the room for a while?" she motioned at the rocker in the corner

Torvil nodded and went to get it.

"Thanks" she said heading back to their room with Surion

Torvil put the rocker down in their room near Surion's crib.

Ala smiled and settled into it to feed her son

Torvil sat on their bed, watching.

Ala purred happily as she rocked

Torvil yawned and rubbed his eyes from dozing

"You ok love?" Ala said quietly watching him

Torvil nodded. "Just a little drowsy from dozing..."

"Surion seemed to wake you up in a hurry" she chuckled

Torvil chuckled softly. "He does that..."

Ala laughed "Yeah" she lifted her son to her shoulder to burp him

Torvil chuckled softly. "It's just the father in me..." He said softly.

"Somehow that doesn't surprise me, do we want to take Surion to meet his grandparents at any point?" Ala asked him

Torvil nodded quickly. "Mmmhm... Soon I would think..." He chuckled softly and brushed his hair. He yawned again but paid it no mind as he licked his lips.

Ala nodded as she lay her son in her arms and simply rocked as he held his blanket tight

Torvil smiled and watched his wife happily, she was so beautiful like that, holding their son after having fed him. She absolutely glowed, she was gorgeous, radiant... Too many things to use.

"As fun as it is to watch your child change from day to day I'm looking forward to the slow-downed version" she mused

Torvil nodded. "Aye... That's going to be a new thing for me, to wake up and see him still a pudgy little bundle of joy..." He chuckled softly and leaned forward.

Ala laughed "We've already done it once" she said thinking of the night before

Torvil chuckled. "That we have..." He shook his head. "But it still seems new to me..."

"I imagine it will for a while, seeing stages of his life last a longer period of time." she nodded as she spoke

Torvil nodded, and smiled. "Always a new day..." he purred, and shook his head. "A new day for something new..."

"Most definitely.... when do you want to make that trip? " She asked curiously

"Next week work for you?" He asked softly.

"Ok" she said with a nod getting up with her once again asleep son

Torvil purred loudly. "He's so cute when he's asleep..." He said with a bright smile.

"He's cute all the time" she said with a wink

Torvil chuckled. "True love... True..." He smiled and winked back. "But he's cuter asleep..

Ala chuckled "Yeah I suppose so" she gently lay him in the crib before joining her husband on the bed

Torvil smiled and stayed seated as she came to him. He popped his neck softly. "So much changes now..." He chuckled softly. "So much we have to do again...."

Ala nodded and sat beside him resting her head on his shoulder "Many of which I don't regret"

Torvil purred loudly. "Aye... Much of it is the fun part, the part that happened so fast the last time it was a blur. First word, first step..." he chuckled softly.

Ala nodded "First smile, first laugh" she cuddled closely

Torvil purred. "First tooth, first solid food..." He nuzzled her ear happily.

Ala laughed "Yeah, the others were born with teeth" she mused

Torvil chuckled. "Of course... They grew them while in the womb, they were going to have to eat solid food soon after they were born!"

Ala nodded "Yup, very soon, like only a few days tops" she chuckled and sighed happily

Torvil chuckled. "Yeah... I have a feeling it'll take a lot longer than that with Surion..." he purred and pulled her closer.

"A lot longer" she agreed with a nod nuzzling closer to him contently

Torvil purred and licked her cheek softly with a smile. "mmmm Love ya!" He said with a warm smile.

"Love you very much too" she said softly resting her hand on his leg turning to look up at him "I suppose we should get some sleep while we can..."

Torvil nodded and smiled, brushing her hair. "Yeah..." He pulled her beside him and closed his eyes.

Ala cuddled close and closed her eyes, she knew from her reading they were probably in for a number of long nights for feeding as she dozed off

Ala's Journal

Dear Diary

There are a lot of firsts to look forward to, unlike my twins I will be able to savor all those firsts, and i've also come to realize I really love the fact I wont be hurried in my raising of Surion. I think Torvil really loves his bonding tome without son, I have a feeling he may like it more then a lot of other things. But I suppose we'll see as time goes on.

This is wonderful, just absolutely wonderful... I love having time with Surion... But I do want some time with Ala as well... I should talk to her about finding us a baby sitter for Surion so we can have some us time... As loathe as I am to leave my son's side... I do need some time with my wife...

Ala wandered into the clinic her arms wrapped around a bundle in them the red and black blanket hanging half way to her knees, she had a small pack on her back, she was still somewhat sore, but ignored it as she looked around

Jade waved to Ala as she wandered in, then pointedly glanced at the bundle in her arms, another grin spreading across her face.

Ava grouched and wriggled about in her babyseat while her face squinched up unpleasantly. Stupid chair! She was tired of being in this thing.

Domonic Fons

Why wasn't the daddy person moving? He wanted to see the pretty stripy thing!

Manior stopped as the woman turned, and his light blue eyes had a much clearer view of the baby in the chair. Ooooh, someone like himself?? He only met one other small person like himself, and he smelled like fish. Did this small person smell like fish, too?

He began to shake the rattle quicker, with much more urgancy. He MUST know!!

Domonic frowned a little bit, his cheeks permenantly stained for the moment. Was he trying to embarress him? If he was, then he must have gotten that from Neko. Giving up with a sigh, he moved his hand a little bit to stop Manior's shaking.

"Okay, okay... you win," he told him, finally taking the few extra steps it would have taken to cause him to join the group anyway. He just now noticed the young boy with them.

With the large hand now close enough, Manior took the time to shove his slobbery ring into it. There... now he'd have a free hand for inspection.

"Myaaa?" he mewed a little bit, his short tail thumping against his father's white shirt a little bit, trying to wag.

"G-good morning," Domonic stammered, not really even noticing the slobbery ring in his hand. He was a little confused at the boy's question, however. "An...thro?"

Obviously, this was something he hadn't quite heard of before.

Alatariel Rakamash

Ala smiled seeing Jade and approached her "Hey there, Thought I'd poke in to see who's around now that I'm feeling up to it" she said shifting her weight as well as her son's. She glanced down and a smile came across her face "I see you had your child as well"

It was at this moment that Ava decided she'd had enough of the chair and her lip started to quiver, tears welling in the corners of her eyes. Luckily, her mother had seen this little show more times than she cared to in the few days that the little one had been out and about and intercepted the fit by unbuckling her from the chair and hoisting the baby into her lap. The movement unsettled Ava for a moment and she let out a warning cry and squinched up her face again.

"She's a few days old at best," Jade sighed as she cradled the babe in her arms, careful to support her head all the while. "Your son hardly looks much older. What's his name?" She fixed her keen gaze on the baby in Ala's arms, noting the little horn nubs.

Ala chuckled "I dont think Surion is older then your little sweetie" Ala took a seat across from Jade and turned her son sideways in her lap, he was sucking his thumb peacfully and clutching hte corner of hte blanket tightly in his fist

Rune Traverse

"He has animal or magical animal features. An-thro-mor-phic, or mag-an-thro-mor-phic." Cody rattled off, ignoring his mother's light blush of embarrassment at his antics. So these kids were like the Konokai, after all! Seeing Ala, he grinned, standing on tip-toes to see her little bundle. "Awww, is he sleeping? It's a he, right? Maybe he can make Tiger smile." He nodded toward Ava as she gave her little cry. "Hey, Miss Jade, does Tiger like magic?"

"Cody, her name is Ava." Rune looked at her son, one eyebrow raised. He was forever giving babies nicknames. Still blushing slightly, she smiled at Ala. "Hullo."

Jade listened to Cody with a light arch to her brow while watching Surion in Ala's arms.
"Surion's a quiet one," she commented idly while rocking Ava in hopes of getting her to settle down. "I'd say Ava's probably the exact opposite."

The baby grumbled and arched her back while at the same time kicking her feet, making Jade take a firmer hold on her. She was not going down without a fight, if she had it her way. "Brrrrrrr" said Ava as she battered the air with little fists, looking from Surion to the other little boy that was further away.

Ala smiled and nodded to Rune "Hello, not sure I've met you before" she says with a smile. Turning her gaze to her son she nodded "He's been a pretty quiet and peacefull little boy ever since he was born" She ran her finger along his little tail that stuck out from teh back of his crimson sleeper "Sounds like Ava has a strong willed character then"

"You could say that."

Ava squawked again and clung to her mother's shirt, eyes narrowed and face still squished up. This wasn't going her way at all. Feet continued to kick freely in the air as the baby refused to settle.

Rune Traverse

"He's so cute." Rune grinned, head tilted slightly as she looked at the little baby boy. She added, "No, I've seen the Clinic before, but I've never stopped by. It seems like a very nice place."

Cody held out a hand to Ava's eye level, green eyes narrowed with concentration. Slowly, a swirling misty orb gathered above the boy's palm, condensing into a cartoonish, white-tiger shape that sparkled slightly. The apparition flicked its tail and meowed while Cody looked rather pleased with himself. "See the pretty thing, Tiger?"

Surion yawned and cooed softly waking from the nap he had been taking in his mother's arms

"She sure seems to at least" Ala said with a smile looking down at her son then sitting him up so he leaned back against her chest and he looked at the other people around him

JadeEye

The little green tigery thing was enough to make Ava pause in her fussing and stare, mouth making a little O shape as she stared. Her brow knit and unknit rapidly as she stared at it with great confusion and curiousity.

"Nrrrgh," she commented then, releasing her hold on Jade's clothes to beckon to the magical object with both hands.

Rune Traverse

Rune flicked a glance at Cody, amused, then returned her attention to Surion as he woke. Gently she extended a finger for him to grip. "Hullo, little one."

Cody grinned and held out his hand so the creature sat in front of Ava. "This is an illusion, but it'll stay solid for a while." He explained to her, talking as though she were at least his own apparent age. "Kinda fluffy - I learned that trick from my big sister." The thing twisted its head and nuzzled against Ava's hand, its 'fur' the texture of soft cotton. "They're fun to make. I like the dragons the best."

Alatariel Rakamash

Ala smiled and watched her son he started at hte woman and hte hand coming his way, he still had that one thumb firly latched in his mouth and clung to the corner of his blanket

Rune Traverse

Rune gently touched Saurion's little hand, her voice quiet. "So you're a quiet little guy, huh?" To Ala, she added rather shyly, "he's a sweetheart. Is he shy?"

Alatariel Rakamash

Surion's thumb popped out of his mouth and he swung his hand around till it latched on Runes'

"Not so sure about shy really, he's not been around many people yet for me to determiine that. But he's a quiet lil guy"

JadeEye

Jade chuckled, then glanced at the clock on the wall. Eep!

"Oh dear, I didn't realize the time. I promised Dragon I'd be back so we could all go out later this evening..."

Ava tried to grab the tiger illusion but found herself removed from it's proximity as Jade moved the girl back into her baby seat. Her face wrinkled immediately and she started to whimper and whine.

"I'm sorry to talk and dash, but I really must. Pleasure meeting you all," Jade said as she stood and slung the diaper bag back over her shoulder and picked up Ava's seat. The bawling infant made her frown deepily and she gave Cody an apologetic glance. "Thanks for keeping her entertained...."

Jade then turned and headed for the clinic doors, Ava still whining unhappily. One fist reached over the side of the chair and made grabby motions as they went through the door.

Rune Traverse

Rune's face lit with a grin, and she giggled at Saurion. "You're a sweetie." She told the baby. Glancing up at Ala, she asked, "Is he a dragon? His tail is cute." Then she waved to Jade and Ava. "Goodbye - nice to meet you, too."

Cody watched them go with a wave, frowning slightly himself. One hand on his hip, he studied his creation critically, then sat down on the floor, holding both hands over it and concentrating.

Ala nodded' "yeah he's part Dragonic, like his father and I, he's got other heritages too but I's say dragonic is hte most prominent one" she waved a hand to Jade to say g'bye

Rune Traverse

"Cool, like Mom!" Cody looked up from the floor with a smile, then went back to whatever he was doing. Rune sighed wryly, cheeks tinting red as she nudged the little boy with her foot. "Hush, Cody." Then she looked up at Ala. "You're a dragon? That's cool. What kind, if you don't mind me asking?"

Ala chuckled "That one you's have to ask my mate, I wasn't born dragonic, but thanks to the genes of being a Kerrsalian I became one when I united with him" she glanced at hte clock "Oh darn I'm afraid I have to dash too, otherwise I'll have a mate hunting me down" she moved to get up pulling hte blanket better around her son

Rune Traverse

Rune gently took her hand from Saurion, smiling. "Well, that wouldn't be a good thing, so I'll see you later." She grinned, watching and waving. Cody glanced up and smiled. "Bye, Saurion! Bye nice dragon lady Ala."

Alatariel Rakamash

Ala smiled and nodded repositioning her son she headed out hte door, her wings unfurled and she took to the air

Took Surion with me to the clinic today for the first time, Surion was as usual his quiet self it was interesting, also got to meet Jadeeye's little girl, I think the two are basically the same age

Nyoka runs into Ala & Surion in Barton

Ala hummed softly staring in the window of a shop in Barton she roked gently from side to side, she was debating if there was anything in teh store she needed, at least right then and there

Nyoka stretches before she absently straightens her floor-length leather trench coat. She yawns, listening to the hard soles of her boots clomp on the ground. She really doesn't want to go to work tonight. She doesn't think she has the energy to be dancing all night. . . .

Her yellow-green eyes sweep over the people around her, alert as they can be with her lack of energy. Damn training, she thinks.

Her eyes fall on a familiar form. She walks quietly up behind the woman. She says nothing as she scans the contents in the window.

Ala's eyes notice a reflection in teh window behind her, she smiles recognizing hte pale form and golden-green eyes, pulling a little on the maya wrap that she was wearing that held her currently sleeping son she turned looking over her shoulder "Hello Nyoka, long time no see"
Nyoka raises her eyebrow as she turns, smiling, to Ala. "Hello, Miss. Ala," she replies. "Who have you got there?"

"This is Surion, my son." she said lifting the blanket a bit to show her the sleeping infant

Nyoka smiles, her eyes soft. "How beautiful," she says softly. "I bet you're happy he is finally here," she adds.

Ala chuckled "quite, much as I enjoyed being pregnant, it's even better to have a little being to hold in your arms, would be even better if he could get his internal clock correct though..."

Nyoka grins. "They're on their own scedule, from what I have heard. Damien, like clockwork, would wake my mums up about two in the morning, every morning. Surion will get over it soon enough," she sighs. "Is he a handful?"

Ala looked down at him "Yeah hopefully he will, as for handful not really, he's a really peaceful child, pretty quiet most of the time, makes me wonder what he'll be like as he grows up"

"Don't worry," Nyoka says, resting a hand on Ala. "From what I have seen, the children tend not to stray too far from who they used to be. . . . Damien and I are still the same, and most of my friends. Maybe you'll get lucky."

Ala nodded "With all hopes I will be" she looked up at Nyoka "You are all alone today? Damien stay at home this time?"

"Yeah, I am actually on my way to work, in about an hour or so," Nyoka smiles. "He isn't allowed to come where I work," she winks. "He's tucked away safely with the Amazons. I'll make it a point for you to see him soon, so he can meet Surion. He'll be pleased that he was right," she chuckles.

Ala chuckled "Another little boy for him to get to know" she said with a nod" she smiled "Still quite little, but damien will likely see him grow over time"

"Of course," Nyoka grins again. "I think he is growing fond of you. I am sure that my brother and your son will become quick friends."

She tilts her head to the side. "How is your. . . . husband?"

"Torvil? estatic as anything, absolurely oves the experience of a longer growing period, event he poopy diaper change times" she chuckled

"Good. He's excited. I am sure he can't wait to teach his little son everything he can," Nyoka chuckles. "Aren't fathers forever wanting to bond with sons?"
Ala laughed and nodded "Very much so, I dont think he really got adequate time with Torvin to do that but hopefully he will with Surion"

"There's always time, in the younger years. Just, throw him at Torvil at every possible chance," she suggests. "Of course, after you bond with him too," she winks. "I'm sure he'll have plenty of time for . . . fishing trips . . . or training, whatever men do when they bond. . .. "

Ala laughed "Tovin spent his few weeks before moving out in his father's Lab, we'll see what Surion will want to do it's hard to say, bu tI do want them to grow close"

"Don't worry," Nyoka smiles again. "I'm sure they will. If you worry too much about it, you'll grow sick."

Ala made a face "Yeck, dont need to be getting sick... So hows your mom? I haven't seen her in like... forever..."

"She's. . . coping, I suppose. You might not see her for some time. She won't leave the house," Nyoka explains. "She'll get over it. If I have to snap her out of it soon, I will. I'll tell her about Surion, though. Maybe I can coax her out of the house, so she can see him."

Ala smiled "That would be nice, I hope overall she's well, nothing major keeping her at home..."

"No, it's all in her head. Physically, she is well," Nyoka admits. "She's just . . . she's going through a lot right now," she waves her hand. "I'd rather not break your high over having your son finally, though." She adds. "Anyway, I had better run. Work and all. Whenever you are free, I'll take you to the manor. You should see it, it's pretty cool. I think Surion would like our koi pond."

"That would be cool Nyoka, I'm free on most days less my mate hauls me to the cliffs or I go to the village" she said knowing she had mentioned the village to Nyoka once before

She nods. "Alright. Here," she takes a napkin out of her pocket and searches for a pen. When she finally locates it, she jots down a number. "This is my mobile number. If you need a babysitter, or you want to come to the manor, just ring me," she hands the napkin over to Ala after she stashes her pen again.

Ala takes the napking and glances at it before pocketing it in teh side of hte small bag she carried "Sure, sounds good, well I dont want to make you late for work, tell your mom hi for me, I miss chatting with her" she smiles

"I will. You take care of yourself, alright Miss. Ala?" Nyoka grins, and reaches over to squeeze Ala's shouder. "You have a beautiful little boy to look after now," with another wink, and a wave, Nyoka wanders off.

"I will Nyoka" she said before turning back to the window in front of her to continue contemplating

GMFC Visit ~ Ala, Surion & Torvil

Alatariel Rakamash

Ala wandered in humming a dragonic lullaby to the infant she carried in a maya wrap. he held in his fists the tail of a small stuffed dragon and the corner of his black and red blanket which was wrapped around him to keep him warm even though he wore little black sweats and a crimson red long sleeved shirt with white sockies, Ala carried a small back bag with her too.

JadeEye

Jade grinned at Manior's offer of the keys, then got an idea. She slowly slid down (even though it was a little painful yet) and sat on the floor with her legs crossed indian-style with Ava in her lap. There, much better for interaction!

Ava blink-blinked as the boy rattled her keyes, then she snorted indignantly and reached out for her toy. Those were HERS!
"Abah. Ababameya," she demanded, the other hand slapping the carpet.

Domonic Fons

Oh! She moved again! Now they were so much closer, and that made him a lot happier. As Ava slapped the carpet, he blinked, reaching his arm out even further to give her the keys. If only he had his rattle... They could make music!!

As the door opened again, his eyes turned in wonder of who it was. Ooooh, she was holding another small person like himself!

Ala looked around as she walked in "Hmm not many people here as usual, least usual for when I get here" she mused she looked down at her son and repositioned him so was sitting up and still supported

Surion looked around with curious eyes stuffing the tail of the stuffie in his mouth

The keys were immediately taken when offered and Ava promptly waved them around so they almost smacked Jade in the face, then she bounced happily before jamming one red key into her toothless maw to suck on. When the boy looked away, she also let her gaze wander to see what was happening not to far away. Oooo more little people!

Jade dodged the flying keys, but did so just barely, and steadied her daughter while she bounced enthusiastically.

Domonic Fons

As his hand was freed from the keys, Manior waved happily to the new baby, his tail thumping against the floor again. Maybe that lady would come down to the floor, too? All three of them could play then, maybe! (And he could inspect the other child at the same time.)

Alatariel Rakamash

Ala hummed softly as she crossed the room, she stopped next the little boy and Jade with Ava "Hello , looks like a regular little people gathering" she said with a chuckle taking a somewhat sore seat creating a triangle. She lifted Surion out of hte carrier and placed him in her lap

Surion waved his hand that held his blanket around a bit looking even more curiously at the two other little people

Ava stared at Surion for a long while and pursed her lips thoughtfully as she watched him. The bumps on his head were definately strange....she scratched at her own head beneath the tiger-hoodie to see if she had those there too.

"Hi again," Jade said to Ala and Surion as they joined the triangle.

"Hello, you are well? you look a bit bushed" Ala said with a smile

Surion's short tail snaked out from under his blanket and wrapped around his leg, he dropped the stuffie into his lap and reached an empty hand towards Ava

Domonic Fons

Manior stared curiously at the boy for a long moment, his ears swivelling a little bit as the women spoke. This boy looked much different from Ava, and had little things on his head. Ava didn't have those... Did he?? Reaching up to his forehead, he patted around for a moment before deciding that he didn't. Oh! The boy had little pointy ears, though! Just not... fuzzy.

JadeEye

"Tired....Ava doesn't sleep through the night really," Jade admitted as she pulled back her daugher's hoodie to expose her completely bald head. The little girl squalled and tried to reach for the hat but couldn't reach, so she shook a little and slapped the floor with her hands.
"Nyayayayay!" she bellowed as she kicked her feet, looking to Surion and Manior for support on her cause. The hat MUST come back!

Domonic Fons

Manior frowned as the hat came off, his tail flicking a little. Patting his own head, he was a little surprised that she also didn't have hair.

"Myaaa!" he cried, covering his head a little bit and pointing at Ava. "Nyaaan!"

She needed her ears to HEAR!!

Alatariel Rakamash

"Oooppfftt" Surion said blowing bubbles and pulling his hand back, he didn't really like really loud voices and the expression on his face reflected that as he stared at the girl

"I can sooo sympathize, I think babies have their internal clocks mixed up" Ala replied glancing at Ava

Ava continued to beat the floor, though with each strike the sound grew fainter and fainted, finally reducing into whimpers. She needed her fuzzie baaaaaack~

Her mother finally sighed and pulled it back into place, slightly disturbed by Manior's apparently dislike of the hat being removed also. "Fine, don't let anyone see your adorable little face then," she sulked, resigned to silence and a bundled up daughter.

Domonic Fons

Manior applauded as Ava got her hat back, happy that she had her ears again. He pointed to his own as they wiggled, then pointed to the ones on top of her head. Maybe the boy's would do it too? He pointed to him, his ears perking up a little.

JadeEye

Wiggling ears?....Ava stared at the cat-boy's ears as they moved. No one's ears did that that she knew....did hers? She tried to make them do it, but there was no movement of the plush tiger ears atop her head. Poo. ._.

Surion reached out his little hand to Manior's when he was pointed at "nyaaa" he said softly

Domonic Fons

Awww, Ava's ears didn't wiggle?? Maybe it was a phase, and they'd work later. When Surion pointed at him, he blinked a few times, tilting his head to the right.

"Myaaa?"

Ava sighed and slumped in her mom's lap, fighting a huge yawn that threatened to surface. The keys were long forgotten at this point.

Her mother noted her sudden shift into quietness and looked relieved. Maybe she'd fall asleep and Jade could get her home and in the crib, then get sleep for herself....

Torvil Rakamash

Torvil landed outside the clinic and entered. He looked about until he spoted Ala and Surion. He chuckled softly to himself and walked over, hovering about the two as a hen would it's clutch, or a dragon.... It was hard to tell. He chuckled and smiled at their company and bowed his head to them.

Alatariel Rakamash

Ala looked up at hte looking shadow which was her mate "Hi love" she greeted him

Surion waved his hand around a bit before letting it drop and going after his dragon again to chew on it's tail

Torvil Rakamash

Torvil smiled. "Hey love." He waved at little Surion, but knew he wasn't paying much attention to him. "So how was your day?" He asked her softly. "Seeing as you decided to leave before I woke up fully..."

JadeEye

Ava blinked sleepily at the new person but hardly uttered a coo at him, instead retreating into her mother's arms and snuggling in comfortably to watch. It was at this point that Jade decided it was best to leave; Ava tended to get cranky right away if she wasn't put to bed when she was ready.

"I'd best get going...Ava's about ready to drift off anyway," Jade said to those around her, dragging the Snuggli pack over and gently slipping the little girl in it.

Ala nodded to Jade "T'was nice to see you again Jade and Ava, have a safe trip homewards" she said watching the lady prepare to leave before glancing up at her mate "We are well, just getting some fresh air and some window shopping done

Torvil Rakamash

Torvil chuckled. "Good, good..." he sat down next to her and smiled. "Well, did you see anything you liked, cause we can nab them on the way out if you want..." He waved at those preparing to go.

Alatariel Rakamash

Ala shook her head scooping her son up in her arms and offering him to his father "Nothing of real need or interest today" she told him

Domonic Fons

Spotting the rattle underneath the chairs a few rows down, Domonic sighed with relief. Thankfully no one had taken it... Walking with his knees a few 'steps', he reached underneath and took up the rattle, it shaking it little bit as he righted himself.

What? Ava was going? But they didn't get to pl--RATTLE!!! Manior seemed to forget about the others as he got onto his hands and knees, crawling as quickly as he could toward his father.

Domonic used the chair for a little support as he stood himself up, spotting the little infant as he crawled toward him. Ah! Now they could go home. Taking the couple of steps it would take to meet up with his child, he leaned down and scooped him up, handing the baby the rattle as he adjusted him in his arms.

"No more dropping that thing, okay?" he told him, making his way toward the door.

Manior just squealed happily and hugged his rattle, happy to have it back. Just as they were leaving, the baby began to wave to the others, shaking his rattle at them.

"Nyaaaa!" was his goodbye, as he and Domonic walked out the door.

Torvil Rakamash

Torvil smiled and nodded, taking Surion into his arms and rocking him softly, preventing himself from humming. He brushed his son's cheek with a finger and chuckled. "And how are you today my little bundle of joy..."

Alatariel Rakamash

Ala waved to the infant and smiled. She pulled herself to stand, "Well with the exception of young Luna I think we are all alone so I guess we might as well head out" she mused straightening the wrap for when her mate handed his son back

Torvil Rakamash

Torvil smiled and handed Surion back to Ala. "Yes, lets go home..." He said softly. "And maybe Surion might decide that tonight he might just sleep... But I doubt that..." he rubbed his forehead.
