[NRP] Adriel and Jayoku's log

Worry worry..

Adriel was sitting on the couch he wore a large loose t-shirt though he was glaring at the distended stomach that still seemed to manage to show itself as the fabric draped around his midsection. Grumbling he got up, he wasn't one to wear large shirts...but..his stomach was getting bigger every day, his back was even starting to ache. He even placed his hands on his back trying to stretch it out and ease some of the pain..and despite what Duncan had said about his gained weight before..he had been trying double hard to conceal his stomach's growth. Now though...he wondered if he should ask Duncan what he thought he should do. There was something...unnatural about his sudden weight gain...and it was only to his stomach...in fact the other morning he noticed his cheeks were sunken in a bit...his eyes heavy from restless sleep he looked horried to he honest. And he was starving all the time...but he refused to eat more than he needed..cause he feared he would gain more weight. Though it didn't seem to matter...he looked at the clock..Duncan should be home soon.


Duncan loved his job as much his his animalistic way of looking at things allowed him ot love things. He enjoyed nothing more then to get to throw unruly people out... literally. It made it the best when he physically threw them out and got to see how far they flew before hitting the ground.
He stepped inside the apartment, stretching out all over before he shrugged out of the shirt he was stuck wearing when at work before looking around, "Adriel!" He called out as he looked about then spotted his lover. He gave a grin and walked toward him.


Adriel had been wearing a frown, something that had been on his face more often than not the last couple of weeks. Brooding was a good word to describe how he was acting as well being rather obessive about his weight gain. Though he put a smile on for Duncan he missed him sorely when he was at work...cause it just left him alone with his thoughts.
"Hey there hot stuff." He said with a small smile seeing that the man he so loved was shirtless, Chii and Fuu reached for him before Adriel's own arms copied them. Now..that was something else...Chii and Fuu were...acting strangely they wouldn't touch his stomach...not even ...somewhat. It disturbed him.

The wrath spawn gave a grin, walking over to sit down on the couch with him and leaned closer so the tentacles and the one they were attached to could reach him as he gave Adriel a kiss, "Mmm, you flatter me." He murmured.

Adriel returned Duncan's welcome home kiss with one of his own, he wished he could just jump him here and now, but even as his allowed Chii and Fuu to pull them together he found an uncomfortable sensation as his stomach was pressed against Duncan. HIs face flushed in embarrassment and he wished Chii and Fuu weren't quite so friendly at the moment. Still he gave Duncan another kiss though it was a short one before he leaned his head on Duncan's chest.
"...How was your day?" He asked...not wanting to start on the subject of his stomach just yet.

Duncan gave a purring sound, "I got a new record for body tossing." He told his lover with a toothy grin. The job always put him in a good mood, he could sate his desire for fights there and come home relaxed. He leaned against Adriel an arm wrapping around him and tried to look down without making it obvious. Adriel was feeling... bigger. He knew not to comment since he would get a beating but...at the same time it caused the hairs on the back of his neck to raise.

Adriel leaned into him trying to snuggle and yet not press his stomach against him he looked dreadfully tired for someone who stayed at home all day.
"well...thats great. I hope you didn't break any limbs though." He said after a moment of musing...he went quiet after that a hand reaching up to trace a little circle on the man's chest.
"Duncan...do you think..there ..I dunno..." He started and then stopped. THe idea something was wrong with him..made him feel ill in the pit of his stomach...but..his stomach kept growing...he knew something was definately wrong when he weighed himself and he had actually lost a couple of pounds...yet the belly had remained.. he looked at Duncan's smooth chest rather than up at him or down at his stomach.
"....do you think..there is something wrong with me?" He asked quietly in a near whisper.

He starred at the belly for a moment before he moved his hand to poke at Adriel's belly in a thoughtful manner, "Hmm..." He wondered... could it be something bad? He wasn't sure what might come from a swollen stomach though... he looked up at him, "I guess we could always have someone look at you."

Adriel shifted he didn't like the poking the attention to his stomach made him feel uncomfertable.
"Even Chii and Fuu seem to be avoiding touching my stomach..." he continued as he thought on it. He went to take Duncan's hand in his own.
"But..it doesn't feel like...fat..I mean..don't you think its too..I dunno..firm?" He asked now thinking on it made him only more nervous.


Duncan looked at the tentacles as though watching the way that they were avoiding it, not having noticed until it was pointed out to him. He shifted his hand to pat one of them, "Naw, the skin feels kind of tough to me."

He never thought of it that way, his gaze when to where his shirt covered his stomach he moved to sit up a bit more before he used a hand to push the shirt up and off of the tummy. It was...rounded out from his body like someone had stuffed medium sized balloon in his gullet.
"...Maybe I should get someone to take a look..." He mused in a doeful tone.

Worry worry prt 2

The wrath starred at his stomach for a long moment, head tilting to the side, "Looks... like you swallowed a basketball." He said without thinking.

Adriel's face went beat red, he shoved his shirt back down in a huff of embaressment. He couldn't make Duncan's gaze.
"...I..its that ..b..bad huh?" He stuttered after a moment. Though Chii gave Duncan a smack on the shoulder as if to remind him he was being a moron. Fuu patted Adriel's shoulder as if it was worried.

Duncan gave a jump as he got a smack from the tentacle. He gave it a look before he leaned over to press a kiss to his belly, "Its not so bad. We should see about getting you an appointment somewhere though, just to be safe." He told him.

Adriel shivered as Duncan kissed his stomach, he...shouldn't feel turned on now...not when he was so worried...and certianly not be thinking of things like that whlist he was...well..suffering from whatever malidy he had.
".Y...es...d..o you ..think..i ..s..should go back ? " He asked reaching a hand out to stroke Duncan's hair. "T..to the ..faclity I mean." he quickly added.


Duncan's eyes narrowed a little at that thought, a low growl escaping his throat, and his hackles started to rise. He hated that place, hated all the people in it, especially Vampy. He felt his body growing tense and he had to draw back away from Adriel to work on forcing himself to relax,


Adriel didn't like the facility either but...it seemed really the only option available.
"...It might..be..s..something..only they ..know...of..and can help with.." he voiced in a whisper, he shivered at Duncan's sudden change in attitude though he understood it he felt vunerable right now.

The wrath spawn was able to get himself calmed only by digging his claws into his palms, the pain cutting through the red haze that started to edge his vision, "I don't trust them, you shouldn't either. They might just make it worse for kicks!"

He nodded his head he knew Duncan spoke true, the facility was known for being cruel for the sake of science.
"Yes..b..but...what if it gets worse?" He continued shifting a bit wrapping his arms around his chest as if he felt cold.
"What if they are the only ones who know what to do? I may not like them...but they do know what they are dealing with.." he muttered crossly. Gaining weight was one thing..but..this was just disturbing.

"I will go with you." He said, leaning against him, "They won't do anything to hurt you if I'm there... if they try I can strangle them." He hadn't been able to protect Adriel last time with that demon but this time he would keep an eye on him.

Adriel felt horrid, he knew how much Duncan hated it...hated going there...
"But you need your sleep...for work.." he murmured. "I will go myself..I promise I will phone you as soon as I get there and as soon as I am done..okay?" he started as he went to pull away and stand up..but found his center of gravity off and he nearly toppeled to the ground..but instead sank back into the chair nearly sitting on Duncan.


He gave a shake of his head, "Your not going to get locked up there so they can jab at you with sticks... I will go with you. I can go to sleep after that or skip a night of work." He told him, watching as Adriel tried to escaped before he wrapped an arm around him to keep him from trying again.


Adriel tried to protest but when he felt Duncan's wrap his arms around him he knew he had lost the battle. He sighed leaning into Duncan and nodding his head slightly.
"Fine...when should 'we' go then?" He asked grumblnig under his breath

Duncan relaxed visibly when Adriel agreed to let him go along, leaning into him, "We can go when your ready." He said with a smile. So long as he was able to be there to threaten techs then things would be alright as far as he was concerned.

He nodded his head again unsure of when he would be 'ready'. Technically the sooner the better since then he could find out before it got worse.
"Yes...alright how about at the end of the week?" He murmured a plan forming in his head.

He gave a nod of his head, "That would be good, maybe we can see about going on my day off." He suggested, nuzzling against Adriel's hair, that way he wouldn't have to miss work. He didn't want to lose out on any of the money since he wanted to contribute to their home.

Adriel nodded his head he felt...tired...as he always did he turned and gave duncan a kiss on the cheek.
"Alright then..its setteled. Lets got to bed...I am too tired though for...um..play time. Can we just sleep instead?" He asked suonding as tired as he felt.

Duncan gave a mock pout then nipped his shoulder, "Yeah, I don't mind just sleeping." He murmured, getting up to his feet and held his hands out to Adriel, offering to help him up. It was a little out of place wasn't it? It wasn't that Adriel was chubby... he just had a big belly. Like one of those snakes on the nature channel...

Adriel looked up and took Duncan's hand happily for the help. Really it was getting out of hand he felt so ...front heavy.
"Thanks he murmured as he gave his lover another kiss before leading them to the bedroom.

Bumping into Luthor jr

After leaving the doctors office the poor man stood looknig a bit dazed in the hallway. Wow....a baby? He would of liked to have been warned but...he wondered if ...this was by some chance a freak mistake. He laid a hand on his belly again looking down at it in wonder. It was still hard to imagine life was growing inside of him...very hard. He still found it weird as he walked slowly back down the hall...unsure of what to do next...or how he was going to tell Duncan the...uh...good news.

Luthor was heading back for the Medical Ward with a some snacks he'd filched from the break room. He was hungry enough but at the same time it wasn't the reason for his leaving. He knew that Aden could have food brought into his ward but the Doctor had encouraged him to go and get himself a snack, to stretch his legs. The boy was far to young to be hovering over his friend and Dad all day or so he man had told him.
The boy lifted a doughnut up to take a bite out of it, chewing. It wasn't bad but didn't taste as good as usual, probably because Pepper wasn't there to chase or bite the Techs. He wasn't there to complain about how much he didn't like the doughnuts because they were to sweet... just wasn't there to do anything but sleep deeply hooked up to all sorts of machines.
He gave a soft sound as he swallowed the bite he had in his mouth before he turned down the hall that would lead him back to Pepper and his Daddy.

Adriel caught the sight of a white haird boy out of the corner of his eyes as he walked. Wait...he remembered that striking hair. He half turned to find that he was already done dissapearing around a corner. He recalled dimly he played a game with him...last time...wait.... his eyes widened slightly as he made a small connection..that...wasn't possible was it? He jogged down the hall way but had to stop as it hurt his stomach and back to much.
"Luthor!" He called out playing a hand on his back in annoyance. God was he waddling? ...yes yes he was...

Luthor gave a jump at the sound of his name, looking back and forth before he spotted Adriel. He gave a little smile before he walked toward him, "Adriel." He murmured, glad to see a friendly face in the cold halls of the Labs. It was a bright spot in the day that just seemed to be the same as the ones before, all to grim and dull and lonely.

Adriel was breathing pretty hard as he finally caught up to the boy, god he was...so out of shape. Though at least he had a reason for it this time.
Stretching he cracked his sore back before standing properly his eyes twinkling as he looked at Luthor though his smile faded seeing the boys rather...gloomy expression.
"You look like you lost your best friend.." He spoke offering the kid his hand in comfort. He could sense that the boy was not having the greatest day...it was easy to read in his posture.

Luthor's eyes went a bit wide before they got watery and he nodded, "He's... he can't wake up... and Daddy is sick too." He whispered, looking down at his feet. He took a couple more steps forward and pressed himself against Adriel's side, clinging to him. He wasn't sure how the older boy was able to figure out what happened to Pepper just by looking at him, it was a bit of a surprise that he wasn't ready for.

Adriel looked surprised but he didn't mind as Luthor pressed into his side. He stroked the boys strange flowy hair before he walked him over to a chair that was sitting against the wall. He moved to sit down and he gathered Luthor into his lap..even if it was a bit short since his belly was in the way.
He so desperately wanted to ask the kid questions about his current situtaion...but felt that he neeed the attention at the moment.
"Who won't wake up Luthor?" He asked softly wrapping his arms aroun him trying to offer what comfort he could. Chii and full luckily were smart enough to make use of themselves to make sure Luthor didn't slip off his receeding lap.

Luthor was more then happy to lean into Adriel, to be hugged by him and the tentacls as well, "Pepper... my friend he won't wake up." He murmured against Adriel, "Doctor has him hooked up to machines and stuff... hes so quiet." It wasn't right, Pepper was never quiet and never still. He was normally a danger to sleep with because one might get kicked or bitten but now he didn't even move to roll over or anything.

Adriel wasn't sure what to say the subject was obviously touchy the child seemed quite upset about it. He stroked his head.
"That's pretty scary.." he addmited...he didnt know what he would do or react if on day Duncan wouldn't wake up. "You said your father is pretty ill too?" He said softly though it sounded like this friend Pepper was doing a bit worse for wear comparitavely. He just wished Luthor wasn't having to deal with things like this...but at least the facility seemed to be on top of it.
"I am sure they are doing everything they can...you just have to be patient.." he murmured as he kissed the top of the boys head lightly.

He nodded, "He has a fever, hes staying in the Medical Ward until the Doctor lets him go." He murmured, "I don't like it... his skin feels to warm." He looked up at Adriel when the other started to stroke his hair and he relaxed against him, more so at the kiss he got on the top of the head. Felt nice and calming he thought to himself before letting his eyes half close.
"Yeah... guess so." He knew he had to be patient, to wait, and to hope for the best but... he was still worried.

Feeling the child relax he felt that perhaps now was the time to bring up the subject of his condition.
"Luthor..." He started softly adjusting his hold o the boy so he could look at his face. He almost regretting saying anything the child looked dead tired.
"Y..you remember that game we played the first time we met?" He asked softly.

Luthor gae a nod of his head, "MmmHmm... that was nice." He murmured then gave a little smile, "I couldn't eat all the doughnuts, some had to get thrown out." He had eaten as many as he could but some ended up going stale and rockhard enough he could get to them. His Daddy kept telling him he was going to turn into a doughnut if he ate anymore of them.

Yes he also recalled how he had thought it was just a game...taking one of Luthor's hands to pressed it to his stomach.
"Looks like my wish came true." He said quietly a small smile coming to his face. "And I have a feeling its thanks to the game.." He explained as he hugged the boy closer.

The boy smiled as he ran his hand over Adriel's belly and he nodded, "That's good... I didn't think that it worked for you at first." It had taken a while for the wish to take hold for some reason that was a bit above his young mind to understand. He lowered his ear to it, as though he were trying to hear the baby in Adriel's belly.


As if complying to Luthor's wishthe baby shifted around in Adriel's stomach when he layed his ear to it.
He stroked the boy's hair suddenly excited to be having the baby, sure nervous...but what could be wrong with having someone little around like Luthor?
"You knew?" He asked a bit surprised, Luthor was different from any chlid he had seen from the facility.
"How did you make it work?" He asked quietly.

Meeting with Lurthor jr prt 2

He looked up at Adriel for a moment before lifting his head and looked back and forth down the hall as though worried he might be overheard before whispering, "Its the strange power I have... its kind of a pain though. So many rules." He told his friend before his attention went back to Adriel's belly. He gave a smile.
He would end up in so much trouble if Vampy found out but... he couldn't
say he wasn't happy for Adriel, "Can I meet the baby?" He asked curiously.

Adriel nodded his head smiling at the same time. The idea that the baby would be born...fairly soon it seemed and be able to hold the baby in his arms was...a bizarre idea. He still was trying to wrap his head around it.
"Yes..of course." He reassured the child. Though how he was suppose to give birth...he had no idea. He supposed he would have to talk to the doctor about that...

The white haired boy gave a smile as he lowered his head back down to lay his ear against Adriel's belly again, "I look forward to it." He said to Adriel, laying his hand against it so he could feel the way the baby was moving, "Your baby seems excited." He told his friend in a happy way, for the moment forgetting about everything else.

Yes...it did seemt o be moving around a lot. It felt very weird and kinda made him uncomfertable...he wasn't use to it yet and it made him feel slightly ill.
"Y..yeah...it m..must know it has life..beacuse of your power." He said after a moment. stroking Luthor's hair again. He kinda wished the child would stop moving so much...it felt so very weird.

Luthor looked up at Adriel, "Can you... keep it a secret?" He asked, sounding hopeful, "He doesn't like it when I use my power and I don't want him to get mad at me." He looked back and forth down the hall again as though just mentioning 'him' would summon him. He seemed to be lucky though, the halls remained empty.

Adriel raised an eyebrow at the request.
"Alright ...? Who is this him you are referring to?" He asked wondering who this person was that seemed to scare the poor boy.

Luthor leaned closer, "His name is Vampy, I think he is important here and hes really scary." He gave a shiver at the idea of the man getting made at him, "He... he tried to blow someone up last time he got mad. So... I don't want him mad at me." He shook his head rapidly, trying to get that picture out of his head as it wasn't something he wanted to think about.

Adriel's body stiffened at the name, he knew it...and he didn't like vampy one bit. His arm tugged Luthor protectively closer to him.
"I promise I won't tell." He whispered back as if he was't sure if the silver haired man may just appear out of nowhere .


The boy snuggled against him happily, "Thank you." He murmured, hugging his friendly tightly before he got up to his feet and held his hands out to Adriel to help him up... not that he would be able to do so very easily given his size but he didn't really think about that, "I need to go back to watching Pepper and Daddy with the Doctor."


Adriel took the boys hands thankful that he had offered to help him up and then patted his head once again. "okay...but try not to worry too much. Your too good a kid to have bad things happen to you...it will work out." He encouraged kissing the tip of his fingers to press it to his nose.
"And I will visit probably before and after the baby is born." He said again with a small laugh. He gave a small wave as the boy looked about ready to dart back to his loving father and friend.

Luthor gave another smile, lifting his hand to touch his nose before he gave a wave, "Bye-bye Adriel!" He called before turning around to head on his way. He would do his best to keep from over worrying but it was a hard thing to do. He'd be able to relax more when his friend woke up and his Daddy's fever broke.

Calling Mareike

The man stood just outside of the building...his hands were still trembling a bit as he held the bottles the doctor had given him. He had run into Luthor... a few moments ago...and was rather shaken up. He flinched as the baby moved in his stomach, it was still a ...strange and new feeling...now putting a name to his affliction...as being pregnant. Sitting down on the step outside the facility he had no idea what he was going to do next. A baby...his hand went to touch his stomach, sure it had been something he had wistfully wished for...but he wasn't at all sure if he or Duncan for that matter was ready to be introducing a child into their lives....it was going a bit too fast. Chewing on his lip he accepted the cellphone that was being handed to him by Chii. Apparantly it had figured he would want to use it. And he did...but he didn't want to go home just yet. Besides Duncan was out...or home at this point and he still wasn't sure how he was going to explain all this. So he flipped his phone open and hit speed dail #2 and waited as the phone rang and rang.
"Come on ..Mareike...be home.."

" What?" The question was short and irritable as Mareike picked up the phone and cradled it between her shoulder and ear before closing her eyes again. The wrath child had been napping, well resting more than giving in to a need for physical sleep. Attempts to use her newer bigger wings were less than successful and had drained the girl more than was normal for someone of her genetics, possibly because it was an abnormal strain to her body.

"Ah...H...hi Mareike." He started she sounded grumpy, he hoped he wasn't bothering her.
"Sorry...I ..can call back later...if your busy." He started wondering if he should just hang up now and try and figure out things on his own.

" It's fine" the maroon skinned girl assured him, wincing as she flexed her back muscles " not busy at all, just getting used to not being good at everything. what did you need?'

Adriel tried to hold back his sigh of relief. He had a faint smile twitching at the corner of his mouth.
"Ah...well...remember how I was sick...when you saw me last?" He asked trying to not alarm the girl.
"Um...I know what was wrong with me.....now....do you mind if I come over?" He asked swallowing hard wondering if she would get annoyed at him always running to her when he was nervous or sacred.

" are you contagious?"

He looked down at his stomach and felt a shaky laugh escape his lips.
"Ah..no. I am not contagious..." he replied finally though he sounded very ...nervous by the shaking in his tone.

" then get over here, I'll take care of you" it was seemingly the girl's job and part of her liked it, that she was the one he turned to in times of worry. They might not share a sexual chemistry but there was soemthing special between them, Mareike thought

Adriel nodded his head in relief. "Th...thanks Mareike...I owe you big time...um.." he said as he struggeled back to his feet Chii and Fuu grabbed his vaitamins and helped balance him as he stood.
"P...lease don't be starteled when you see me..." He pleaded as he started walking down the path and out of the establishment.
"I will be there as soon as I can." he continued before he said his goodbye and hung up.

Mareike sighed softly as she hung up her phone, honestly, only Adriel would get himself into messes like this all the time. Of course she;d told him he was sick before and offered to take himto get checked out but no he wouldn't listen, next time she was goignto pick up up and carry him her damned self. Still, it would be good to see him again, she thought and rolled out of bed to head downstairs and wait.

It took him longer than he expected to get to Mareike's house. Of course he was exhausted when he got there and actually stayed outside her door for several minutes panting for breath and wondering just how he was going to do this...his belly was very noticeable.. like he had gained a beer gut. Since the rest of him had remained the same...it really did appear to be one. But the movement insideonly confirmed it really wansn't. Swallowing he knew it would be now or never and he rang the doorbell and waited, Chii and Fuu still held onto his medications the doctor had given him.

It was Taylor not Mareike who opened the door, as he was on his way out to the park and stared in confusion at Adriel " Hi, who're you? what do you want?"

Mareike sighed from the couch and called out to her friend " just ignore him adriel and coem into the livingroom" the girl was well accustomed to the distinct smell the lust child had

Adriel had been expecting Mareike and was about to tell her not to worry but instead it was a young boy. He blinked and then went to speak when he heard Mareike in the background.
"Uh...I'm Adriel.." he told the boy before he went to pass the child.
"Ex...excuse me..I am here to see..Mareike.." he didn't want to seem rude. But he knew he had to get into the house before he chickened out. He walked slowly as if he was still unsure before he spotted the marooned skinned girl on the couch. Wow...she..hd grown.
"H..ii...Mareike." He called out in a soft voice.

Mareike turned her head to look over her shoulder and the back of the couch at Adriel... ok that was not right, nobody got that fat that fast, it wasn;t possible or heathy for that matter. " What's wrong, what happened to you" there was concern and fear in Mareike's voice, whatever this was she wasn;t quite sure how she might be able to help Adriel with it

Perhaps it was her tone that made him fidget on the spot he put his hand on the small of his back it was aching terribly.
"Mind if I sit down? The walk here was long.." He asked wondering if she would mind him sitting on the same couch as her. He did look tired...and the distended belly didn't help appearances.

the girl rolled all three of her eyes at adriel " no i'm goignto make you stand knowing you're sick, yes you can sit" really soem days she wondered if all the pheremones locked in the boy's body weren;t eating away at his braincells. " once you're comfortable you can tell me what's wrong and how I can help"

Adriel gave a small laugh and went to sit on the couch heavily he winced his back hurting as he probaly should of done it more gently. Chii and Fuu for once though eager ot see Mareike...seemed more worrie about Adriel. Though both of them avoided his stomach they patted his arm and shoulder sympathetically.
"Ah...well...I know why I was sick..." He started as he got more comfortable on the couch. "And your probably going to either laugh or not believe me when I tell you." he said after a shaky laugh of his own. He ran his fingers through his hair as he struggeled with the words.
"Mareike...when I went to the facility...the doctor...told...me...I was...pregnant." The last word was nearly whispered as if he was still having a hard time believing it himself.

Mareike stared at Adriel he was.. she looked at his stomach, there was a kid in there? She knew it was possible had seen it on occasion on tv and such but still it seemed odd. " are you gonna keep it" she asked '" does duncan know? is it his?" not that she thought it was possible but heck suppose when he and adhara had... i mean pregnencies took time and all and he was startignto get bigger and bigger now.

Adriel looked at her in surprise it wasn't the reaction he had expected his hand went to lay on his stomach gently as he thought about each question.
"I..think its too late...to give it up..." He started off, "No...Duncan...doesn't know..I just found out myself....and...I...believe its his..." He answered each question slowly before he looked up to Mareike feeling too old all of a sudden.
"The doctor sys that our kind...well the pregnancies are faster...so..I am not sure when I am going to be due..." He continued before he shook his head.
"Thi..s doesn't shock you?...I was terrified...men dont get pregnant...natturally..." He said after a moment chewing on his lower lip as he peered down at his bulging stomach.

The Wrath girl shrugged and reached over to put her hand on top of his " I'm not really good with kids and stuff and i don't know much about them" she admitted. " I'll help you any way I can though" she assured him. The feathers on her wings ruffled slightly " it;s a bit shocking yes becuase you know i've never met a pregant guy before but i guess i'm more worried than anything." mareike didn;t like this, hated situations she didn't know how to control becuase control was so very key to her being.

Adriel took his hand out from under hers and let her fingers press against his stomach as he lightly laid his hand atop of hers. The baby moved and he tried not to flinch but it was obvious that he was still getting use to the sensation.
"It...just started moving today...it..is..just so hard to imagine there being a life inside of me...." He said his face blushing as he thought on it.

" It;' werid but kinda of neat" mareike admitted " I think i might be jealous". She looked from his stomach to his face seriously " I know i'm not as old as you and that i still live here with Nickle but if you need it i'll take care of you" she promised. The wrath girl had claimed adriel as hers to tease and taunt and protect ages ago and nothign about that was going to change anytime soon. if he needed her she would be there for him. she'd also kill duncan if he rejected adriel or the baby.

Adriel gave a chuckle and patted her hand. "I don't think you need to be jealous yet. Your too young to be jealous of a baby." He teased as he sat up and sighed,
"Thanks Mareike...I dont know how Duncan will react...to the baby or me going to the facility...he wasn't so keen about me going there without him...but...I cuoldn't bare to drag him there..he hates that place so much."

" You know i would have gone with you" she pointed out before lettign her eyes drop to his belly again " well i'm not jealous of the getting fat part" she pointed out teasingly " I just " she shrugged " it;s weird" she wasn;t sure how to explain how she felt.. other than not attracted to him anymore.. at all.

Adriel nodded his head and then gave a bit of a shrug. " I was...nervous and scared...and I didn't want to scare you..." He said after a moment his hand patting his belly lightly.
"Yeah...getting rid of the baby fat will be annoying....." he laughed before going a bit somber.
"I...just not sure how to approach this with Duncan...its..not like we planned on it...or expected it could happen..." He said after a moment.

Mareike frowned and looked thoughtful " i;d suggest calling him from here where you're safe but it;s kinda impersonal" she doubted it was the best way to do things anyways " umm call him and arrange to go out for dinner? you could meet him somewhere and explain thigns there, being in public means he needs to behave." The wrath girl shook her head " as for what to say that's up to you I'm no good with words"

He sighed and nodded his head...maybe going out to dinner would be a good idea...though he also was still embaressed by his stomach..he guessed he would just have to get use to it.
"Yeah...that could work." he mused though he couldn't actually invision Duncan's reaction to the news. Happy? angry? surprised? shocked? he was thinking it would probably be shock.......
"I better get home...I left him a note i was going out but not where....I don't wanth im worrying .." he trailed off struggling to get off the couch...

Mareike stood and helped her friend up " If he complains you can tell him I sidetracked you" the wrath girl was certain she could handle the blame.

Adriel nodded his head and rubbed his lower back with both hands.
"Your great Mareike. Am I still invited to see your match? Even...if i look like this?" he asked jokingly.

" I'm goignto pretend you didn;t ask that because if you did i'd have to hit you and i'm not gonna hit a pregnant man"

The words combined made him look at her with wide eyes before he laughed.
"Okay okay...just making sure." he said as he opened his arms to give his best friend a hug.
"by the way..you have grown up beautifully. How long has it been since you grew?" he asked curiously.

The girl blushed a bit at the compliment " Mmm just a few days" she murmured hugging him gently. " my balance is a bit screwed up still and " she frowned and looked at her chest " there are disadvantages but I shall surive"

Adriel gave a laugh his gaze didn't even linger on her rather busy chest and Chii and Fuu didn't even try and grope her. ....Weird.
"Well I think your going to break some poor man's heart someday. You really are lovely." He teased before he stretched his back again and then half turned towards the door.
"I better go though...the sooner I am home the better."

Mareike nodded and released him before heading for the door herself to open it for him, poor adriel looked like everything was effort now "mm well if i do break someone's heart there will probably be jail involved later so i'm counting on you to bail me out." she teased back, secretly glad romance wasn;t high on her list of priorities anytime soon

Adriel nodded his head and then chuckeled as he headed for the door.
"Thanks again mareike...you always make things better." He said kissing the tip of his finger and touching it to her nose. he then turned and headed for home.

Going home...and telling Duncan the...uh good news? prt 1

Adriel felt a bit better after talking with Luthor and Mareike about...well the being pregnant thing. Sure he was still a bit shocked but...at least he knew it wasn't cancer, he made a face as the baby moved.
"God...so active all of a sudden." Hemuttered...though perhaps that was a good thing..it reminded him that up until this point he thought he was just getting fat. As he slowly climbed his way up to the appartment he half hoped Duncan wouldn't be home yet.. he had been gone much longer than intended and the note had stated he would only be gone an hour. He also hadn't phoned when he said he was going to....bah it was no wonder Duncan got mad at him all the time..he was such a flake. His hand reached out and unlocked the door swinging it open he slipped in as best he could trying
to be quiet.

Duncan was in fact home and in a bit of a foul mood. Adriel had gone missing, he'd been unable to find the lust spawn and instead he found Ciaran... the poor kid was so messed up that it just made his hackles rise. Annoying techs... they ruined everything they got their hands on and he just wanted to find them and beat the life out of them. He gave a growling sound as he dug around through the fridge, finding himself hungry... though it could just be that he was bored... or annoyed or something.

There was a click of the door shutting Adriel straightened feeling his back aching from his walk. He stripped himself of his shoes and jacket and taking the bottles from Chii and Fuu looked them over. The pills inside ratteled as he turned it to read the label but so far he hadn't heard anything so he walked towards the kitchen. He seemed a bit deep in thought still mulling on the fact he was late and not sure how to explain things. Be subtle? Blunt? ..he wanted to ease Duncan into the idea...no scare him though.

Duncan jerked his head up as he heard the door, looking around, "What... Adriel?" He called out, feeling his heart skip a beat as he left the fridge hanging open as he raced over to where he was, worried. He was home, had he gone to the Labs, had they hurt him? His worry and anger mixed into a strange emotion that was near a desperate sort of feeling where he had to check on him and make sure he was in one piece... he'd yell after that.

Adriel stopped as he heard Duncan's rather angry voice he felt his hope wilt. Oh god...he sounded pretty pissed off.
"Ye...es..? O..ver here.." He called out knowing it was pointless to try and avoid him.. he had every right to know what was 'wrong' with him...and a choice on the matter as well. Perhaps that was what he feared...Duncan not wanting the child...Adriel wasn't sure how he could cope with that idea.

Duncan moved toward the voice and gave a sound between a sigh and a growl when he saw him... then moved quickly to catch hold of him and set to looking him over very closely as though he expected him to be wounded. He'd seen to some wounds already today and he didn't think he'd be able to deal with Adriel having some... he'd probably really go to the Labs and strangle someone. Adriel was surprised to have Duncan grab him and look him over.
"Duncan I am okay." He assured his lover, his tone was calmhe hoped it would ease Duncan's worry.
Chii and Fuu moved to stroke Duncan's arms trying to calm him down as well.

It wasn't until after he was sure about it, until he'd looked him over and sniffed at him to make sure he was free of the scent of blood before he started to relax. The feeling of Chii and Fuu stroking over his arms calmed a bit. He gave a bit of a nod of his head finally, "Good." He murmured before giving him a dark look, "You... you left!"


Adriel winced at the accusation he took a tiny step backwards and held his hands up as if already addmitting defeat.
"Y..yes I know. I'm sorry bu...but you hate that place...so much..." He started knowing that this was probably the first hurdle in the conversation...
"But I am okay the doctor saw me and looked me over..." He continued trailing a bit and chewed on his lower lip a moment still trying to figure the best words for telling him.

Duncan shook his head, "You could have been hurt..." He complained before he stepped closer, wrapping an arm around his lover and pulled him close. He nuzzled against him before giving him a little n**, "I was worried." He grumbled.


Adriel was a bit surprised he had expected a rage shouting...he...seemed a bit dumbstruck as he then wrapped his arms around Dnucan only too happy to receive the nuzzle and jumped a bit at the n**.
"I am sorry...I know I am late too...I should of phoned..I..just..had to think a bit.." he explained with a sigh...
"Duncan...the doctor knew what was wrong with me..." He started before he pushed Duncan away and then took his hand and pulled him towards the couch...yes..Duncan definantly needed to be sitting down for this.
He sat down, his body was more than happy to settle into the couch cushions. He chewed on his lower lip again..
"Dunca..n.....tell me...d..do you like kids?"

Duncan followed after, reluctant to move out of arms reach of the lust spawn as though he might vanish. He wanted to shake him but... his lover looked somehwat worried about something which caused his heard to sink, "What did he say? What did he do?" He growled, eyes narrowing a little as he found himself wondering if he needed to gut a Doctor.
The question seemed out of place and confused him a bit, "Wait... what? Kids?" He gave a shrug of his shoulders, "I... don't know, they are alright."

He opened his mouth the words just couldn't come. He felt the heat rising in his face it ...felt rather embaressing..
"O..oh the doctor..? H..he a..asked me questions...and he listened to my st..stomach." He said with a nod of his head trying to appease the wrath spawn who looked about ready to have any excuse to kill someone.
"He a..also gave me some vitamins to take. And iron." He said after a moment he gave a uneasy look at he felt the baby squirm around inside of him. His hand went to lay on his belly as if trying to calm the little one inside of him. Though all in all he appeared to look ill.

Duncan's expression changed from anger to confusion again, "Listened to it?" He murmured, before wrinkling his nose. Wait a second... he looked up at him for a moment, "Vitamins and iron? And those will help you to get better?" He asked, sounding a bit hopeful about that... then looked down at Adriel's belly when he saw him lay a hand on it and take on a sick look, "You alright?"

Adriel nodded his head though it was Chii who reached forward to grab Dunan by the wrist and yank it towards Adriel's stomach.

"Y...eah I am fine..just...not use to it.." he replied before realizing that Duncan didn't know what he was getting use to... his eyes widened as suddenly Chii decided to help Duncan out by dragging his hand towards his stomach.

Duncan blinked when Chii pulled his arm forward and he found his hand against it, "What?" He asked of the tentacle... this all three of his eye went wide as something moved against his hand. All of him froze in place and he gave a full body shiver, "What... in the Hells...?!"

His face flushed as Duncan's hand was pressed to his stomach..and the baby decided to move as well.
"Ah...Duncan...it may be a bit late to be asking this...b..but...d..did you w..ant to start a family with me?"

"Ahh... what? I... what?" The wrath spawn's brain seemed to have derailed at the strange, crawling feeling under his hand. It was rather disturbing but he couldn't bring himself to pull his hand away. It was all far to strange making him wonder if he were asleep and dreaming up a really twisted sort of dream.

His face was still flushed as he placed both his hands atop of Duncan's as if afriad it he let go the man may bolt.
"...Duncan...I..know this..is a bit fast...b..but the doctor confirmed it....I...well...am.." he looked to his lover before glancing away.
"...pregnant.." He mumbled.

Duncan was rather glad he was sitting as he was feeling strangely dizzy. It wasn't a sensation he was used to or that he liked... it was weird...
"Your... what? But... I know for a fact that your a guy." He told him, after all they'd done together he doubted he'd of missed something like that.

He nodded his head wondering if he should tell Duncan about Luthor..he promised though he wouldn't say anything to anyone.
"I.. know...i..its..just...a miracle..I guess." He shrugged looking to Duncan who seemed a bit dazed.
"I...am..just as surprised...and its a bit sudden...I..w.wasn't ev..ven su..sure if you would want kids.." He continued stroked his hand, oh god..why was the child moving around so much all of a sudden?

"I... don't know..." He murmured, looking at Adriel's stomach in a very wary sort of way. He was... pregnant? It had to be his... surely. And... the idea actually scared Duncan a little, caused his stomach muscles to clentch as he thought about it. Pregnant with his child... a dangerous child it would be. To have blood in him that was from Duncan... the wrath spawn was starring at Adriel's stomach now.

Adriel looked at Duncan with a hunt of concern on his face.
"I..d..don't think we ..c..can back out now.. though...the doctor ..says I am pretty far along int he pregnancy.." Though he was sure if they talked to the doctor he could probably find a way to get rid of it...but...he really didn't want to give up the life inside of him.
"The..doctor wanted to do an ultrasound....but I said I needed to talk to you first.." he continued his one hand reaching up to stroke Duncan's cheek.
"Wh..hat are you thinking?" he asked half afriad of the answer.

Duncan looked up at him for a long moment before lowering his gaze again, "Just... thinking." He murmured, trying to keep his tone neutral.

He didn't like that... he chewed on his lower lip again as he tried to study his lovers expression.
"M...aybe I should leave you alone.." He started as he gave Duncan's hand a squeeze before lightly pushing it off his belly and then went to stand up with the aid of Chii and Fuu.
"Though..I think I better see the doctor again...see when I am due.." he mused softly mostly to himself.

Duncan jerked his head up and shook it as he pushed to his feet, "No! No... don't go wandering off again." He told the lust spawn, not wanting for him to disappear again like he had earlier. He just had to think, to figure this out... a baby of his blood made him worry. It could be as bad as he was, as dangerous, and as out of control... or what if the kid was like Adriel? He wasn't sure which was worse in his mind, looking after a violent kid or a to friendly one. Both would need looked after closely... taken careful care of...

He gave an exasperated sigh and placed a hand on his stomach...it was an odd gesture...considering that he had been avoiding it like it was the plague for the last couple of weeks.
"I was just going to the bed room..." He muttered before looking up to Duncan his face holding a bit of sadness in it. Duncan...wasn't taking this well..he looked...worried.
"Look..I ..know this isn't something we planned for...b..but I am willing to give it a go..." He said after a moment slowly.

Telling Duncan the Good news prt 2

"Huh...?" Duncan gave a nod, "I am just worried... about the kid... I am not exactly high on the list of what would be a good parent... What if I do something wrong? What if... its like me?" The last part was muttered.

Adriel raised a hand to his lips something a smile that was trying to go there.
"Oh Duncan...I don't think we need to worry until the baby is born..." He said after he gave a small laugh. He moved to stand closer to Duncan taking his hands and placing them on his stomach again, his face blushed.
"I am sure this little life will be perfectly fine."

Duncan ran his hands over Adriel's stomach, starring down at it. He wanted to believe it but it was a difficult thing given his temperament... he shook his head to try to shake off the worries, "I want to believe that." He murmured finally.

Reaching a hand up he caressed Duncan's cheek.
"Don't be so negative..I am sure he or she will fine. They will be our little one." He loved the way 'our' sounded to his ears.
"....I guess though I will need to tell my mother..." He did't like that idea one bit..

Duncan gave a choked sound, "Do we have too?" He asked. He didn't think that woman liked him at all... and he was sure that she would blame him for this. Well he figured that it was fault given that it was his kid... but none the less he didn't think it would go over well that Adriel was having his baby.

He nodded his head slowly his own hand patting his belly lightly. "Yes...though maybe after we meet with the doctor again...I want to be able to answer all her questions...don't you think your father would want to know?" he inquired after a moment feeling more and more positive since Duncan hadn't run out on him yet.

"Yeah... should probably tell him as well." He murmured, wondering what his father would think give the man was covered in almost as many scars as Duncan was after having to raise a wrath blooded brat. He took a deep breath to calm himself when he felt that same panic rising hin him again.

Adriel moved to kiss him he could see that he was still adjusting to this idea.
Wrapping his arms around his neck he nuzzeled into him.
"It will be okay." He purred though him pushing his belly into Duncan probably didn' t help ease things too much.

Duncan gave a little jump when Adriel's stomach... his baby filled stomach pressed against him. He took a step back away from him, gave a shiver, then shook his head, "Ahh... sorry, its just a little odd the way it moves... ahhh, I am sure you know that well, huh?" He murmured, lowering his hands against the stomach again.
"You know... I guess that explains why Chii and Fuu were avoiding it, probably not used to many of your other body parts moving around on their own like they do."

Adriel frowned as Duncan pulled away though he guessed he understood what he meant...it..bothered him and it was inside of him.
"Yeah..its strange...I guess I will get use to it..." He muttered wanting to kiss Duncan again but..didn't want to make him on edge.
"Yeah...at least now I know why..." he said glaring at the two purple limps that still seemed to awkwardly avoid his belly.
He looked back to Duncan giving a bit of a sigh.
"Duncan..I should probably go see the doctor again soon...he said that the pregnancy would be fast ...considering our DNA....and I would rather know sooner than later what to expect..." He trailed off trying to not think about the birthing part...
"If you don't want to come I under stand.."

Duncan gave a little growl, "I am not going to leave you alone." He said, stroking his hands along his sides in a slow manner, drawing in a deep and steady breath as he tried to get used to the feel of the baby moving against his hands. It was... so odd...
"I want to go... want to help." He told his lover, moving his hands from the belly to pet his tentacles as well since they seemed as weirded out as he felt, "We will... need to get things for the baby too, huh? Hmm..." Good thing he had a job he thought to himself.

Adriel nodded his head he hadn't really thought past the pregnancy but it was probably a good idea to buy a crib and all the things they would need. Oh god...would they be able to afford it?
"Ah...yeah..." Suddenly Adriel looked a bit worried himself. Financially could they afford to have this baby? He was glad Duncan was trying to get use to his belly moving he himself put a hand on his stomach and shivered a bit.
"Well...when should we see the doctor then?" He asked. "The sooner wehave an idea of when the baby is due the better we will be prepared for it.

"We should go in soon." He murmured, not really liking the fact that they knew so little of what was going on. Adriel because pregnant through some 'miracle' and he found himself wanting to know how it was going to effect the Lust spawn and if it would put him in danger. The idea caused his hackles to rise a little.

Adriel nodded his head and then gave a yawn.
"Yes soon..when if your next day off?" He asked leaning in to nuzzle against the wrath spawns chest. He was feeling relieved that Duncan wasn't freaking out badly...like yelling or just generally being out of hand on the subject.

Duncan titled his head in a thoughtful manner, counting the days, "Three more nights of work then I have a day off, will you be able to wait that long? Or should I see about taking a day off?" The boss had not one but two kids so surely she would understand if he asked for a day off to take care of his lover and baby?

Adriel made a face and stuck his tongue out at Duncan.
"I am sure I will survive three whole days." He laughed giving him a nudge he then stretched.
"I think though now..after being out so much that I am going to have a nap. Coming?" he asked with a wink. He seemed...far too calm with this.

Duncan blinked as Adriel stuck his tongue out at him and gave him a look, "You better but if it looks like you won't we will see about getting you in earlier." He told Adriel in a matter-of-fact manner before he relaxed, nodding, "Sure, a nap sounds good by me."

Adriel nodded his head taking his lovers hand and lead him towards the bed room, he felt...more comfertable, how Duncan was behaving towards this was cute. He was just happy he hadn't gotten too angry about him going alone tot he facility. And soon they would be there again...who knows what they would discover.

Ultrasound

Aden was a doctor with all of the training and degrees and it was because of this that it was somewhat ironic that the man smoked. Sure he knew all the downsides to it, that it was an awful habit, that it could kill him, etcetcetc... but really it didn't matter when one was standing outside relaxing with a cigarette in hand. He let the smoke out slowly through his nose before he checked his watch.

He had plenty of time left between now and the next thing on his list to do today he thought to himself half tempted to go investigate more into the angels and demons. He mostly worked with the Technicians and more recently things that were far more interesting. Now that he'd met up with those things he found himself wanting to know more and more about them, to get a look at them, to meet them.

There was so much about this place that he didn't know, didn't understand and it drove his curious mind crazy...

The tall man lifted his head, tilting it back as he let the smoke out once more before he pushed away from the wall, dropped the butt of cigarette on the ground so he could stomp it out, and turned to head toward the door. If he weren't careful someone might miss him. More then likely it would be one of his patients since he seemed lucky enough thus far not to be noticed by the guy who had hired him a while back.

Duncan was sticking close to Adriel this time around, to make sure that the lust spawn didn't escape his sight. He didn't like the idea in the least bit that they were heading for the Labs but he wasn't going to let Adriel head there on his own especially not when it was two people that were in danger where Adriel was concerned these days. The thought that the other male was carrying a child was still strange to him but it had his hackles up when it came to anything threatening coming anywhere near him."Almost there." He said, two of his eyes looking over at his lover, studying him closely.

Adriel was waddling these days, even in just a week he felt like he had gotten even bigger than before. The shirt the wore was too tight to really be effective to cover him..so his belly was bare for the world to see...and he didn't like that. He was still self conscious about the fact he..was first off male...and second off pregnant. The baby kicked inside of him and he winced.

"Du..Duncan its going to be fine." He tried to reassure his lover though the uptight and rather high strung wrath child seemed to think they were going to have the dogs loosed upon them as soon as they set foot at the facility. Chii and Fuu were doing their best to help Adriel by acting as a pregnancy belt, it helped some but currently he just tightened his hand on his lovers arm.

"The doctor won't do anything weird." He continued trying to help calm the man down. Though he himself wasn't even sure on that last one.

Duncan leaned a little closer before nuzzling against his cheek, "I know." He murmured, only because if the Doctor even thought of trying something weird he wouldn't hesitate in knocking the man's head off his shoulders... he gave a bit of smile as they walked along. He paused in front of the gate that led into the Labs and starred up at it for a long moment before he looked over to Adriel, "Are you ready then?" He asked of him.

He smiled back at Duncan and placed a hand on his stomach trying to still the life inside of him.
"Ready as I ever will be...I want to ask some questions...and he has the answers." He continued as the baby rebelled against his hand.

"U..g...feels like the baby is ready too.." he groaned.

Duncan looked down at Adriel's stomach and his nose wrinkled as he watched as Adriel's stomach squirmed around, "That is... really strange." He murmured, reaching one hand out to lay it against the wiggling stomach. The more he touched it the more he got used to it... at first it freaked him out but he was finally getting better about it and the one inside him. He gave a bit of a smile before he moved away from Adriel so he could open up the Gate for Adriel to go through.

Waddling through it didn't take him long to get winded by the time they got to the front door. He pushed the door open and arched his back trying to get the kink out of it.
"Could you ask them if the doctor is ready?" He pleaded still trying to get the sore spot in his back to stretch out. It had been killing him lately.

Duncan gave a little bit of a grumbling sound before he nodded and moved off to find himself a Tech. He didn't like the idea of talking with those fools... he'd rather punch them then talk with them but hey, this was for Adriel so he would do well by them. When he found one he reached out to grab the guy by the shoulder, spinning him around, "You."

The Tech starred at Duncan with wide eyes and for a moment he thought the guy was going to faint dead away... and for good reason, it would seem the guy thought he was someone else. He gave a shuddering gasp of the wrath demon's name which caused Duncan to give a sound between a sigh and a growl, "Where is Doctor? Adriel is here to see the guy." He snapped.

The guy pushed away from him and checked the chart in his hands and then pointed down the hall that led to the Medical Ward.

Duncan looked in that direction before patting the man on his head and went over to where he'd left Adriel, "Seems like hes ready."

Adriel was too preoccupied with his discomfort to really notice the fact that Duncan had scared the wits out of the technician. He may of laughed if he had seen it though. Nodding his head he moved in the direction Duncan had indicated and knocked on the door before pushing it open.

"Hello?" He called out as he entered the sterile white room. He scanned it quickly to see if there was any strange equipment but didn't notice anything completely out of the ordinary.

Aden was standing off to the side digging around through a drawer and was pulling out a pack of gum as the pair came into the room. He checked the clock before giving a smile, "Hey, welcome back." He said as he took a few pieces out of the pack and popped them in his mouth and the rest of the pack was abandon, "How's it going?" They were a bit earlier then expected but he didn't think there was much in the way of good help in this place. He should see about getting a secretary or something...

"If you want to take a seat here Adriel?" He pointed to the examine table, "And if you would like... too..." He trailed off when he found himself starring three narrowed eyes. Aden couldn't break the stare and was pinned until the red skinned male walked by him and took up his position at the side of the table, "Well... now." He was a pleasant fellow, wasn't he?

Adriel moved to the table and had to get Chii and Fuu's help to sit upon it. Sitting made him feel bloated and about to burst. He was too skinny as it was...if felt like he was starving all the time.

"Is..ir normal for the baby to much.." he flinched, "So much?" he asked his hand coming down to rub his belly as the baby squirmed around.

Aden gave a nod, "Its normal for the baby to move around a lot especially as you get closer to the end of term." He said, looking down at the spawn's belly in a curious manner before he looked between Adriel and the rather grouchy look individual at his side. So that was the lover, huh? The father of the child his patient was carrying... that was rather interesting, wasn't it?

Adriel nodded his head feeling..well one relief calmed. He noticed the doctor kept glancing at Duncan...and he sighed a bit.

"Well...I...well..we were wondering if you could do an ultrasound..make sure the baby is alright.." He continued after a moment, "Plus..well..I want to have an idea of what I am too expect...oh..um...delivering it.. and when.."

"I am sure that is something we can do." He said with a smile, motioning to the machine they had in the room. It was set up though shoved aside to wait for if it were needed or not, "Just need to grab a couple of things and we can start." To be honest he was rather curious himself, more so now that he saw the scarred up creature that was the Daddy. What in the world was in the guy's stomach? It was like Christmas Morning he thought as he went to get some gel, plastic gloves, and then pulled the machine over to where the spawn was sitting.

"I will need you to lay back and lift your shirt." He told Adriel, glancing at Duncan when he heard a low growling sound from him, "Its so I can use the ultrasound machine on him, see how the baby is." He explained, having a feeling the guy wouldn't hesitate to murder him if he didn't explain each step of what they were doing today.

Adriel nodded his head watching the Doctor in a more trusting manner than his partner. He did as told as he lay down on the table..ug it hurt his back too and then..well he didn't really need to lift his shirt..his shirt could barely cover him as it was..but he moved the fabric a bit higher so that the gel wouldn't get on it.

"W...would you be able to tell us the gender?" he asked in a small voice wondering if he really wanted to know.


"So long as your kid is feeling helpful I should be able too." He told them as he got the bottle of gel, holding it up for them both to see before he gave the bottle a squeeze, making a few back and forth passes over the young man's belly before he set it aside. He pulled on a set of gloves and set to spreading out the gel, "There we go. Now I am going to use this." He reached over to pick up a piece attached to the machine for them to see next, "To see the baby."

Duncan looked at it then to the screen and back again, seeming to perk up ever so slightly though his yellow eye remained narrow and distrustful... not that it was any different then normal.

Adriel nodded his head and shivered at the cold gel squirted onto his bare skin. Ug..so cold. he then tried not to squirm as the man spread the gel it felt....weird. He perked as well trying to observe the screen though he didn't make out anything yet.
"....I don't see anything.." he pouted.


Aden chuckled as he laid the camera of sorts against Adriel's belly and started to move it around, back and forth before he caught some movement, "Here we are." He he slowed the moments of the camera and gave a smile, "See that?" He lifted his free hand up to tap it against the screen.

Duncan blinked a couple times, eyes going wide, "Woah..." He breathed, looking a bit surprised by seeing the baby moving about on camera.

Adriel sat up slightly annoyed that he could see only somewhat. he squinted his eyes going large as he saw and felt the baby move on the screen.

"Woah.." he echoed, though he felt the baby move all the time..it felt so much more real that they were having a child together now that they could see it. He reached out for Duncan's hand he was...excited and scared at the same time.

"Wh..what is it?" he breathed.

Aden tilted his head from one side to the other, squinting, then gave a laugh, "I am thinking that is one hell of a boy you have there." He told them then lifted a hand to tap his finger against the screen, "Wait... hold up." He looked over at Adriel for a long moment before asking, "Can your tentacles make a wave motion?"

Chii and Fuu had at this point remained rather dormant as if they had known to leave the doctor well enough alone whilst he worked. As the subject came to them they lifted themselves ...Chii moved to wrap around the doctors wrist in a loving fashion whilst Fuu did as he asked.
"uh...yes?" He said after a moment with a small sheepish smile.

"Alright then, that isn't a... well... one of those. It would seem your baby has tentacles though." He said, petting a hand over the tentacle that was currently holding out his wrist. It would be rather helpful to have a pair of those to help out with work now wouldn't it? He lowered his hand back to inspecting the baby, "I can't really tell the gender currently, the tentacles seem to be wanting it to remain a mystery."

Adriel pouted though he had been intrigued to discover the baby had tentacles like his own. Oh...god...it had tentacles like his own... his face when a shade paler than it had been before.
"a..ah...do..does it have w..wings?" he asked after a moment.

Aden moved the camera around, back and forth trying to inspect it closely before shaking his head, "It doesn't look like it."

Adriel felt a tad disappointed, he had wanted wings so badly as a child, and he and both Duncan had the possibility of getting wings...and Duncan once had wings...until they were ripped off his body.

"Um...I've been meaning to ask..." He said propping an arm up to look at the doctor.
"Do..you know how far along I am? When am i due?....."

Aden looked at the monitor for a long moment, moving his camera back and forth, "Its rather fascinating really. If I had to guess I'd say you were over half way there already." He said then chuckled, "Your amazing beings." If he were a human woman it take him nine months to do what he was seemed to be getting done in only a couple.

He made a choking sound as he looked at his belly, "a..already?" he managed to gasp wondering ...how his body had managed to do that without him realizing it.

"U...h..h..how...am..I..?" he started feeling a bit embarrassed about the next question.
"..suppose to deliver it?"

Aden looked him over for a long moment, a thoughtful look on his face before asking "I am assuming your... fully male? Despite the belly?" He heard a little growl from the other male and gave a little wince, "Ahhh, I am just curious. If your all male despite... this then we will need to do it through surgery."

Adriel chewed on his lower lip looking at his stomach and then nodded his head, "Ah..yes I suppose ...we shall..." He replied as he went to sit back up.

His hand went back to his round stomach and he looked deep in thought, "H..how will I know..its r..ready to be born?"

"Its a routine surgery and if you would allow me to I would be able to do it." He offered, wanting to be there when the little one came into the world as his curiosity was nagging at his mind. He just had to see what the baby looked like!

"Hmm... I am not sure on that one. Women have labor but you... you might want to come in to be watched after when you get close to your due date."

Ug...come in? And be watched? he didn't like the idea but tried to smile, "Ah...okay then." he shifted to stand back up but changed his mind he liked sitting for the moment.

"Is there..anything I should be aware of? I mean...I am trying to eat enough...but it really feels like i am starving all the time."

Aden thought it over, "Were you able to get one of those books on pregnancy?" He asked curiously.

Adriel rubbed the back of his head..."Ah...no..."he replied. The very idea of going into a book store looking as he did and picking up a pregnancy book was too much embarrassment for him to handle.

Aden looked over at Adriel and gave a tsking sound, "You really should look into one, it would help you out. If you don't want to go find one you can send your angry friend here." He made a motion at Duncan, "Being the Dad he can help out for more then just the fun parts." His tone was a teasing one and it actually made Duncan flush a bit.

Adriel licked his lips and hugged his stomach a bit, the doctor made him a tad uncomfortable being so...nonchalant. This was a big deal to him..

"I..mean....I doubt those books are going to tell me in detail what to expect...with our genetics...I mean...already you say I am half way through the pregnancy..."

"I am sure it won't really be exact but helpful, will tell you what to expect." He told Adriel before he gave him a serious sort of look, "I am sure you can make it through fine without a book I am just saying it could be helpful. You need to think about what is best for your little one and your health."

Adriel nodded his head, he knew the doctor made sense...but it still ...he couldn't pinpoint it...he felt uncomfortable, "O..kay..I will look into getting one." he said after a moment and slid off the table and stretched his back.

"I...is there anything else I should know?"

"It would be best for you to stay off your feet when you can and to get a lot of rest. Your child is growing... extremely fast and your going to end up drained because of it. Naps are your friend as is heading to bed early." He told Adriel as he rose to his feet, "You mentioned feeling like you were starving all the time? You should eat often and remember to take the vitamins I gave you since the baby is probably draining you in that manner too."

Adriel looked to the doctor and slowly nodded his head.
"O..kay." He responded...he wasn't so sure if he would be able to stay off his feet all the time...being in one spot made him restless.
"So...I should come back closer to my due date? W..hen exactly is that?"

"Due date." Aden murmured before he tilted his head back and seemed to be debating that in his mind, "I'd say... the end of May. I want to be specific but its a bit difficult given how fast your little one is growing." He told Adriel before he moved to pick up the chart he had put together for Adriel and set to writing some things down in it.

"Maybe..." He looked over what he had down so far, "around the twentieth... I think that sounds about right."

Yikes...that sounded so close...Adriel paled a bit and nodded his head.
"o..okay...an..d if..something goes..wrong or ..doesn't feel right I should come to you?"

"Yes." He said, looking over at Adriel, "I don't want to sound full of myself but I went to school to be a medical Doctor while most of the people who work here are scientists. I've seen them fail at basic first aid... so I don't want you to be at risk or your baby." He didn't respect or believe in the techs, it was easy to see.

Adriel...felt a knew respect kindle for the man and he nodded his head offering a bit of a smile before reaching for Duncan's hand.
"Al..alright. I will keep in touch then."

"Thank you and good health." He said, smiling at Adriel then turned to give a smile to Duncan as well.

Duncan looked the man over before he took Adriel's hand and turned to him, giving a smile, "Want to stop for something to eat on the way home? Or do you just want to go rest like the Doctor suggested?" He asked.

Aden was a bit amused at how soft the red skinned man seemed to his lover, so
different from how Duncan acted toward him.

Adriel pondered on it and then leaned his head on Duncan's shoulder. "Lets just go home. I am pretty tired. Can you make me a sandwich when we get there? I was thinking maybe peanut butter and pickles.."

Duncan blinked, making a little face before he gave a nod, "I think I could do that." He said as he slid an arm around Adriel and started to lead him away.

Ice Cream in the Park

Adriel was so glad he invested in those slip on runners....right now he could barely bend over...and never mind trying to see his feet anymore. His back ached, his feet were swollen but he just couldn't sit at home everyday. So the walks were a welcome part of his day even if he was slow...and ended up benched in the park eating ice cream. Standing up he waddled to the window to check on the weather. It was nice out..he wouldn't bother with a jacket. Though still self conscious about his stomach he had learned to not bother to hide it anymore. Using a hand to support his back he rolled his shoulder and turned back to the door.
"Ready?" he called out.

Duncan nodded as he appeared from their small kitchen with a pair of water bottles, "Yeah, I'm ready." It didn't take much for one such as Duncan to get ready. He didn't wear shoes, didn't wear shirts if he didn't have too, his hair was short now so it didn't take any time to comb through it. He walked over to Adriel and leaned over to press a kiss to his forehead, "Any time your ready."

Face flushing he gave a small giggling sound. Some days...well more recently it seemed he was getting more girly. The rather bulging stomach the moved occasionally only seemed to make it more like he was.

"Yes. I am ready." He said giving an arm pump as if trying to be more buff. Chii and Fuu rose up to wrap themselves around Duncan in a hug. They weren't so eager to let go...but did so reluctantly when Adriel poked them both.

"Now are you sure you won't get bored? I don't move very fast." He warned his lover with a teasing look in his eyes.

The wrath spawn gave a smile as the tentacles hugged on him then drew back to give each a pat, "I wouldn't get bored with walking with you." He assured the other spawn, "I think it would be nice to enjoy one of these walks you go on with you." A day off was a rare thing, more so lately as he was trying to get in more hours to help save for when the baby arrived.

Adriel reached a hand up and stroked the man's cheek before nodding his head with small smile.

"Okay then, don't say I didn't warn you." He laughed and then gave his rather familiar flinch as the baby moved.

"Nh..apparently he or she is happy that you are coming as well." He said taking Duncan's hand and leading him towards the front door slowly.

Duncan looked down at the Adriel's belly and gave a little jump at the way it moved. He was getting used to it though it still surprised him from time to time when it moved when he wasn't expecting it. He squeezed Adriel's hand before he followed along after his lover.

Adriel had chatted about all sorts of things as they made their way down the stairs and out of the complex. The actual park wasn't too far away and he clung to Duncan's hand rather possessively when they walked by other couples. When they got to the park he relaxed visibly and then went quiet, They walked in silence for a while before he finally spoke again a hand going to his stomach.

"D..o you thi..think we are ready to have children?" He asked his nervousness rather evident.

Duncan looked down at the Lust Spawn's belly for a long moment before he gave him a bit of a shrug, "Well... I don't know... but... we are having one. So we just need to hope things go well." He said, Duncan was far to possessive to consider the idea of giving the child to someone else to raise. It was their child and they would take care of it.

Adriel nodded his head as they continued to walk along.
"D..Duncan...what do you think? Do...do you find it weird th..at I am having your child?" He asked thinking back to how Litural had freaked out about him being male and pregnant.

He nodded, "Very weird." He agreed, "But if I wanted anyone to carrying my child it would be you." He didn't have anyone else he was as close to the manner that he was to Adriel. He cared for him in a manner that was far different as well from all the others he knew.

He smiled faintly his hand still resting on his swollen stomach.
"its too bad the doctor couldn't tell us the gender.." He said with a sigh, and Chii and Fuu were acting as a pregnancy belt again.

"It would be nice to choose names...I mean...I feel like I am ready to pop." He said with a laugh. "What do you think? Do you have any names you like?|

"Names." He murmured, tilting his head to the side. He'd been worried about getting money together for things like clothing, food, and the like but... never had he thought about something as simple as naming the kid that Adriel was carrying. He gave a bit of a shrug, "I hadn't thought on it. Hmm... maybe we should get a name book?"

"I suppose we could.." he murmured kinda hoping Duncan would be a bit more original than that. He pursed his lips as he thought a bit.

"I like Teresa for a girl...what do you think?"

Duncan tilted his head to the side in a thoughtful manner, "Hmm, its a nice name." He didn't think he knew anyone with that name among those that he'd dealt with so far in his lifetime. He reached a hand over to give Adriel's stomach a little nudge, "Kid seemed shy... not wanting anyone to look to see what gender it was."

Adriel gave a bit of a giggle. "I am not sure about shy...they move around enough...though that may be just the tentacles.." He mused a moment as he felt another kick in his belly.

"Rather vigorous to me.." He muttered with another chuckle.

"Hmmm there are so many pretty names out there. Thomas, Zackery, Sammi, Barbera..." he listed a bunch of names off the top of his head.

Duncan seemed a bit amused as the baby kicked back in reaction to his nudge, "Does seem it... guess we won't know until after its born what sort of name to pick." It did make it a bit harder in picking a name but then again they could just pick one name for each gender.

Adriel pouted, "It be nice to have some ideas...it doesn't hurt to choose a couple." He said with a squeeze of his lowers hand, "Like Max, or Judy." He continued though he frowned at those two. "N..o actually scratch those two. How about Keira?" he continued.

"Max and Judy? Naw... those aren't really fitting for a kid from the two of us." He said, looking up at Adriel and smiled, "Keira? Hmmm... I like that one the best so far." It was an interesting sound name.

He nodded his head at it. "Yes that's a girls name though I think it could be suitable for boys too." He continued as they walked aimlessly through the park, his body was already steering him in the direction of where the ice cream vendor was.

Duncan looked a bit unsure about that, "Sounds more like a girl name." He said finally, not sure if he wanted his son with a girl name. It would end up getting the poor kid beat up... and he didn't want to have to go kick some little kids for picking on his kid. He looked around as they walked. It seemed random to him... until he saw an ice cream stand.

"Yea..ah I guess so.." He continued and he didn't even seem phased as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a five note and handed it to the ice cream guy. The man had already learned to just give him anything randomly since it took him too long to choose a flavor.
"Oh.." He paused and looked to Duncan. "You want one?"

Duncan looked over there was before giving a little nod and pointed at one of the items on the menu. He didn't eat sweets often so this would be a nice change of pace. He had a feeling if he didn't want it after a few bites he could hand it off to Adriel.

The man handed them a rocket blaster and the fudgsicle that they had wanted and handed it to them both. Giving a cute sound he took the treat and handed Duncan his before then taking his free hand and pulling him towards the bench.

When he sat down he released a heavy sigh of relief. God his ankles and back hurt.

"Ahh..." he said as he then began to undo the wrapper.

"This is the best part of my walk." He said with a giggle and patted his stomach as the baby seemed excited as well.

"The best part of the walk is the sitting?" Duncan asked, giving a bit of a laugh at that. He could understand why, Adriel was carrying around a lot of extra weight so it must make everything a lot more difficult then normal. The wrath spawn set to unwrapping his treat and took lick off of it. It wasn't to bad.

"haha..no silly the ice cream is!" he said with another laughed as he licked his own eagerly. "Though i will admit sitting is nice too." he continued and then began to lick the rocket blaster a bit more eagerly. Perhaps it was..just in his genes...but the way he was licking the ice cream was rather erotic. Even if he wasn't paying much mind to how he was eating.

Duncan paused in tasting his own treat to stare at Adriel... then lowered his arms down to rest them on his legs and just watched, "I agree... we should get you some for at home." He said, head tilting to the side, all of his three eyes widening a little, and a shiver went down his spine.

He didn't noticed how Duncan was acting at all...oblivious that the way he was eating just...looked...so wrong to passerby's. He paused sucking on the top his brown eyes sliding over to look at Duncan.

"That sounds great! But then I would never leave the apartment now would i?" He said with a giggle.

"I wouldn't mind at all." He said, a little smile coming to his lips. Oh he wouldn't mind sitting at home watching this... since then he could do something more then just watching the Lust spawn as he loved on his treats.

He rolled his eyes and then licked the Popsicle again and finally noticed how Duncan was looking at him.

"Uh...did you want a taste?" he asked offering the dripping treat in Duncan's direction. Though he looked a bit sad to be sharing his misinterpreted Duncan's look.

Duncan leaned over to give Adriel's lips a lick to taste the treat from there instead of from the treat itself, "Its pretty good." He whispered to him then drew back and set to eating a bit more of his own treat since it was melting away while he watched Adriel eat his.

Adriel's body shivered as he was tasted he...went back to his Popsicle...a little less enthusiastically. He was reminded they hadn't...well...had any 'alone time' since he had been sick and then found out he was pregnant. And being what he was...he suddenly noticed what he was suddenly craving..and it wasn't sweets. His face went beat red as it dawned on him and he wondered if it was safe to due in his condition.

"Ah...well..um..did...you want to pick some up on the way home?" he asked innocently enough.

He gave a nod, "Sure, we can get you more treats. Best to have some at home so you don't have to walk so far from them." He would hate for Adriel to be out and about when something came up... He might get to tired, might go into labor, might need Duncan, "Yeah, we can get you a few different sorts."

Adriel nodded his head his hand going to slide over and lay it innocently enough on Duncan's thigh. Chii continued to act as a belt whilst Fuu moved to slide up the back of Duncan's shirt. A not so subtle move ...thanks Fuu.

Duncan gave a little jump when he felt Fuu sliding up the back of his shirt. He looked over toward what of the tentacle that he could see... then gave a grin, "Your a friendly one aren't you?" He murmured to Fuu, reaching over to pat the end of it that he could see from under his shirt.

Adriel's face was already beat red, at times he wished his tentacles would just stay to themselves...and he often wondered if they acted o his thoughts.
"Uh..well it always was the friendlier of the two.." he commented. He wondered how the babies tentacles would be like.

He reached over to give Chii a pat as well, it wasn't as friendly as she was but he still liked it none the less, "They both have their moments, I somehow thinks if it weren't wanting to be helpful it would be in on it too."

Fuu slid down the hem of Duncan's pants as if eager to show just how friendly it wanted to be and Adriel gave it a slight smack.

"Stop that Fuu...were in public." he hissed as it. As if responding to the pat the second tentacle trembled as if really wanting to be apart of the action.

"m..maybe we should go home...it looks like they want to get friendly." He stated though he wasn't exactly sad about that fact,

He couldn't help but give a little pout as Fuu was warned away from loving on him... though Adriel was right. Last thing they needed to be doing in the park was what Fuu was considering doing. He pushed up to his feet and held his hand out to Adriel, "Probably for the best."

Licking the last bits of the Popsicle off the stick he then took his lovers hand and grunted as he pulled himself off the bench.

"Hnnh...I can't wait to have the little one out of me...I know its a miracle and everything but my body is killing me." He whined.

Duncan had to bite his lower lip to keep from giggling at the noise he made when he was getting up. He then gave his hand a little squeeze, "It won't be to much longer if that Doctor is to be believed." He said in what he hoped was an assuring tone of voice. He looked down at his almost untouched, somewhat melty treat and held it up to see if Adriel wanted it.

Adriel's eyes lit up at the treat being offered and he bent forward and licked the Popsicle and even Duncan's sticky fingers, "Hm...yes..may...be bes..best if we..just went straight home.."

The wrath spawn nodded a bit rapidly and started to lead the way home as quick as Adriel was able to go in his condition. He'd go and get him his ice cream to keep in the house later.

Labor Pains

Adriel had been sleeping but he awoke slighty disoriented and wasn't sure why he was awake. Oh..the baby was moving again. He sighed...his due date was any day now...and he was glad for it...his belly felt like it was going to explode...and his eating habits had put a huge dent into their savings he grunted and slung his feet out of the warm sheets and went to stand up. He figured he awoke cause the baby wanted food..so arching his sore back he started to trod towards the kitchen as quietly as he could.

He felt weird...passing by the mirror he noted how..'heavy' his belly looked.. he knew that this meant the baby was getting ready to be born...though he still wasn't really sure...on how that was going to occur. He probably should be at the facility...being monitored but eh..maybe in the morning. Moving he suddenly needed to support himself with the closest wall. He breathed raggedly as he felt something pressing hard inside of him. His hand immediately went to his stomach and he actually felt something press firmly back against his hand. And..this wasn't like the other times...when the baby kicked or moved. He tried to not double over in pain, and instead slid down to the floor in a heap. No no..no...not now...not while he was at home.

"D..duncan..." he coughed Chii and Fuu tried to steady Adriel but they both looked worried.
"Du..uncan!" Adriel shouted this time.

Duncan was on his feet before he was even really aware of what was going on around him. He took a couple steps in an arbitrary direction and then shook his head, "Huh...? Adriel?" He looked around in a confused manner before he started to look for his lover, "Adriel! Where are you?" He felt his emotions take a sort of detour as panic overwhelmed him... where was he? What happened?! He felt that much more panic rise as he pictured the spider demon that had taken Adriel before. What if he took him again? He went rushing from the bed room to try to find him before anything could happen.

He was halfway between their bedroom and the kitchen sitting in a heap his bulging stomach laying in his lap a hand laying on top of it as if trying to hold it there. His eyes were closed...he was in a large amount of pain,"Duncan!" He called out again himself in a nearly panicked tone it felt like the baby was trying to beat him up from the inside. He coughed his breathing was getting more shallow and ragged his lungs burned for air...it felt like their were bruised. Could someone bruise their lungs? He wasn't sure on that but it felt like it.

Duncan came to a near sliding halt as he saw the Lust spawn on the ground and knelt down next to him, "Are you alright?" He asked in a rush, looking him over as though he were expecting him to be greatly wounded and bloody from the way that he looked and sounded. He had to dig his claws into his palm to keep his emotions from getting the best of him, "What happened? Where are you hurt?"

Adriel wanted to try and calm Duncan down but another wave dizziness spread over him he wanted to curl up into a ball and die...it hurt so much, "I..its...oka.. " He started he wanted to explain but he suddenly was coughing up blood and he literally did seemed to hunch over his stomach a bit protectively though it was just instinct to deal with the pain.

"..en..h...t..the...b..a..baby... " He managed to gasp out. The world was swimming in front of his eyes.

Duncan saw the blood and all three of his eyes got rather wide and he gasped in a breath. Red tinted his vision around the edges and he felt his panic starting to blind him. It was bad... there was blood so it had to be bad... He scooted closer to slid his arms under Adriel and was suddenly up on his feet with the other in his arms. It would seem that even despite his extra weight Duncan found it easy enough to carry him given the situation.

He started toward where the phone was, "Call. Need to call." He said, getting to it and starred at it trying to figure it out before looking at Chii and Fuu, "Need your help, get the phone and dial the numbers I tell you."

The tentacles looked at Duncan in surprise but they didn't hesitate as Chii lifted the receiver and Fuu paused over the numbers waiting for them to be called out. Adriel shuddered in Duncan's arms his arms wrapping around his stomach as he flinched and twitched. If Duncan looked down he would physically see something pushing out against the males stomach.

Duncan listed off the numbers on the paper by the phone, a list that had useful numbers on it. A cab, a cab... they needed a ride to the Labs so that those people there could fix Adriel... He didn't like them but they would be able to help he told himself. He thought on that Doctor they met with. The guy was... annoying at best but at least he would be able to help out since he seemed to be quite interested in Adriel, the baby, and the situation at hand.

If something happened to either Adriel or the Baby that fool would be the one he would strangle as well... As the one on the other end of the line greeted him he barked out orders at them, telling them it was an emergency and they would get here as fast as possible or else! ... and various other threats.

Adriel weakly tried to tell Duncan to calm down but his words were cut abruptly as he felt something inside himself crack. The...baby was being rough...did it just bruise or fracture one of his ribs? Tears streamed down his face..he was in so much pain...yet all he could pray was that the baby would be okay.

"D..un..can..." he coughed it turned out the baby was trying to get out, "T..try...to..ca.calm i..it..p..l..ease..it..feels..like its t..trying to..g..get out." He pleaded.

After the one on the other line told him that the cab was on its way he let the tentacles hang up. He moved over to sit down on the couch and set Adriel down there, "Its... what?" He whispered, eyes getting wide before he looked down at Adriel's stomach before he lowered his hands to rest on it, "Calm down..." The idea of calming down, especially now when he said that the kid was trying to escape.

It was a bit of a disturbing thought...

Duncan's hands would probably feel two points of pressure pushing out towards him rebelliously. Adriel moaned at the pain trying to not cough as it seemed to bring up more blood. He felt dizzy, "...I..thin...k.." He wheezed..."it...b..broke..a..rib.." he said after a moment of his ragged breathing. Chii and Fuu tried to help Duncan still the child.


His eyes went wide, "Broke?" He murmured, feeling the manner in which the tentacles shoved against his hands from inside of Adriel and he felt rather... surprised. It was pushing far to hard against him and it had to be even worse for the one it was inside of. He gave a low growl as he looked at the clock. It had only been a couple minutes since he called the people for the cab but already he was ready to kill them for taking to long...

He leaned over to kiss Adriel's forehead, "Its going to be okay." He told him, wanting to convince himself of it too...

Adriel quivered under Duncan's kiss he kept trying to stay awake...the pain mixed with the dizziness made him want to pass out. his hand went to rest against Duncan's as if hoping that their combined effort would still the child. It ...was not enough to deter the added thrashing he suddenly felt inside. The ..sudden dawning idea the child may have claws...made him terrified. He gave a shriek of pain as he felt the baby thrash around as if it was in a panic.

Duncan's eyes went wide in shock at the sound that came from Adriel and he shoved his way to his feet, taking a couple steps back then rushed over to the window to look out, back and forth to try to spot the cab. Where was it... where was it...? His eyes got wide when he saw it and he ran over Adriel, "Come on, we have to go." They were lucky that where they lived was close to where the cabs were based at.

He held his arms out so that he could pull the Lust spawn into his arms.

Adriel continued to have his arms wrapped around his middle inwardly praying for the child to calm down and not kill him in the desire to be born.

"Sh...sh.." He tried to make soothing sounds but it seemed too forced...when gathered in the Lust spawn arms he let his head lay against his chest weakly. His arms as well Chii and Fuu did their best to try and settle the child.

Duncan rushed through the door and passed the Cabby that had come to knock on the door to pick them up and toward the bright yellow cab. The driver stood there a moment as he starred at the door that was hanging open in front of him. He reached out to pull it closed for Duncan before following after the pair that had left the place and were already getting into the car. They weren't lying about it were they? That they had an emergency, "Hospital?" He asked as he got behind the wheel.

"No." Duncan muttered, he'd rather go to the hospital but they weren't set up for what they were going to have to deal with when it came to Adriel and the baby. He gave the driver the address before all his attention was back on his lover, hovering around him, looking worried.

Adriel was floating...between consciousness and unconsciousness...he tasted more blood in his mouth and he ended up in a coughing fit. He used his hand to try and catch the cough..and when he withdrew it the palm of his hand was coated in speckles of bright red blood. He gave a hoarse sound...as if he was sighing he leaned against Duncan flinching as the baby lashed out against its confines.

Duncan started to tremble all over, his worry growing, "Hurry up!" He snapped at the driver, looking as though he were gong to maul him... and the guy smartly stepped on the gas peddle and the car sped up. The faster he got them there, the faster he would be paid, and the less likely the guy in the back were going to murder him...
