"It's wonderful to meet you, Bracken and Chase!" Liam said with a nod. Turning to Hazel, he winked. "I hope Roth isn't being too much of a pest."

Thorn nodded back. "It's a wonderful night. My name's Thorn; what's yours?"

Hazel's head dipped under Roth's weight, not at all surprising, given that his tail alone was about the size of his new seat. As the same appendage fell across her face, she puffed at it, winking at Liam before she was obscured again.

"Better than him not talking, yes? Or being all grumpy and hiding." Her ear-tufts flicked, as close as she could get to patting the companion right then. She whirled around to see what Chase meant when he called himself four-eyes, nearly unbalancing in the maneuver due to her skurri-skewed sight. Her wings flared and she winced as one smacked Liam in the chest in her fight for balance.

"Sorry Liam!" She hooted, quickly settling and snapping her wings shut. The incident was soon forgotten though, and she let out a burble of delight at Chase's spots. Four eyes indeed! It must be quite helpful, she mused, having extra eyes.

Bracken caught her ear next, and she -carefully- twisted to look his way. "Your friend knew I was here? How, if I've never met her?"

"Nice to meet you." she said, nodding, "My name's Lore." Lore wasn't sure what else to say, so she opted to keep her mouth shut to avoid making a fool of herself.

"My, it's busy tonight!" The crafter hooted cheerfully to no one particular, entering the clearing. Oh, how she loved things like this! Such a commotion full of friends and good times must be good for the soul, Em was sure. Just as she was about to settle down on a nice crowded branch, she spotted Ced, and changed routes poste haste. "Hullo, Ced! Great festival, hm?" Em bustled down to the right of her old friend, looking even more cheerful as she noticed the copper hoop around his ear. "Still have that, d'you? I still remember making the little thing, it was only a few monthes ago, I believe." It had been a simple bauble to make, and it must have only taken her a day to finish the ring of metal. "Looks quite nice, still!"

Cedar grimaced a little when someone called out his name, but relaxed as soon as he saw the owner of the voice. It was only Em, with her very loud greeting. "Hello," He turned to look at her with a much calmer manner than hers. "A little crowded." He said glumly in reply to her first question. Oh well, it was good to atleast be near those he knew. Even if Em was a little chatty. "Oh, of course! It's quite wonderful, but 'suppose it's the only thing to expect with you, Emmi." He shifted his wings in content, smiling at her. "N' what have you been up to? Haven't seen you 'round in a few days, atleast."

She gave a little laugh. "Maybe for you, dear Ced. I find it more of a comfortable mass than cluttered." She giggled a little at his compliments, before quickly moving on. "Oh, you know me, I was just a little cooped up, working on some things," Em beamed at the mention of her work, curling the talons on one foot. "Oh!" The crafter caught a glimse of the infamous Spectre out of the corner of her eye. This was the first time she'd ever caught sight of the odd chick. It didn't seem exactly evil-looking to her. Poor thing looked a little nervous. And it wasn't too strange looking, either. A little dye here and there... Maybe a few bars on the wings, though the feathers were rather pretty, all speckled and fawn colored. Maybe a few bracelets and rings to cover up the naked feet.. Perhaps she would go over and talk to it and it's minder, later. Poor Ced looked so out of place, though. It was the least Em could do to lend a helping talon.

Thorn grinned. "Hi, Lore! You know what I like about this festival? Everybody's here! I met the neatest bard, and this really awesome crafter! My Minder was trying to find one to apprentice me to, but he got distracted with his Companion's girlfriend. Is your Minder here? Or are you already an apprentice?"

Liam was only off-balance for a moment after the buffet from Hazel's wing. He twinged a bit when she admired the other male. What was that? He shrugged it off, though. No sense in that... even if he was a bit jealous. No sense at all in ever being unfriendly. And Chase's spots were indeed flashy.

"It'd have to say" Mag sighed "That it's more annoying that fun. You have to keep an eye on them all the time, some of those little pests are capable of making a complete mess of your work place! But you can't deny that they are pretty useful."

Thorn realized that Mag was back. Turning to her, he said, "Hello again! This is Lore. Have you ever tried a Chirops? My Cassiel's never a problem. Of course, it could be because he's afraid of Roth. That's my Minder's Skurri."

Medlar had been listening and watching for some time now. Like the others, he had been quite impressed by the Brigadier's story. He had been content for the most part to sit on his primarily unoccupied branch and watch the other Sentinels enjoy themselves. Especially as he wasn't much for large crowds, preferring smaller groups.

He spotted a female sitting alone near the outskirts of the gathering, and since she didn't look as though she would immediately reject company, he took off and flew over. Landing gently, he smiled politely at Geddel, "Greetings, my name is Medlar, I hope you don't mind if I join you?" he asked.

"Welcome, Lore." She nodded, and turned back to Thorn. "Yes, I did, once. But he wasn't that good at gathering items that I could use. So I'm sticking to mus and parus. Unless, ofcourse, one day a pica would decide to keep me company." She joked. Yes, that would be a perfect companion, but obtaining a pica would be practically impossible. Not that she didn't ponder about it once or twice.

Thorn blinked, confused. "What's a Pica? Cass is good at metal and stuff... I like all the companions I've ever met, except maybe Roth. He's... weird. Like, he doesn't talk, unless he's around his girlfriend. 'Course, I like her- it's my friend Hazel- but that Skurri's just weird."

"You don't know what a pica is?" Mag was a bit surprised. But well, this still was just a fledgeling... "Well, they're a bit..peculiar. It's them who chose their partner, you just have to be really lucky. Though they usually hang out around mystics. And yes, skurris are weird. Most of them are."

"Alright, then, Ced, let's go emerse ourselves!" Em grinned at him, nudging his back with a wing. "It's no good being antisocial at a party, lets go say hullo to a few sentinels!"

Cedar groaned. "I'd rather stay here, Em. I don't know any of them, anyways, and I doubt I ever will." He started to frown and shuffle away from her a little bit, planning an excuse. But the gently nudging wing suddenly wasn't so gentle anymore, and the hunter had been shoved off the branch, wings flailing wildly. He finally got them to work, and had managed to land on a lower branch, glowering up at his friend.

"Oh, don't be such a worrywart!" The crafter laughed as she joined him, surrounded by fellow sentinels. "Lets see..." Em scanned the crowd for a minute. She spotted a very nice looking wildtype, who had one of those fancy wing decorations. She could easily do a better one, though, she couldn't help thinking. He was sitting quietly next to a young female. A good stepping stone for Ced. "Hallo there! I'm Em, and this is Cedar. Hope we aren't interupting any'thin' now."

"I've never seen a Pica. Never seen a Skurri other than Roth, either... do all of them fall in love with lady Sentinels?" Thorn inquired. He furrowed his brow. "Come to think of it, I've never seen a Mystic! Have you ever met one?"

Chase was smiling with his head slightly tilted at the vision of Roth’s tail dancing in front of Hazel’s eyes, when the female lost her balance. Chase gasped, lifting his right wing, ready to push her back to safety but it proved rather unnecessary. A few seconds later she was smiling again, safely sitting on the branch without even noticing the gesture.
Still, he couldn’t feeling a bit guilty that she almost fell while looking at his markings. He took a deep breath. The faint pain he was feeling would be punishment enough. As she turned to Bracken, Chase pulled himself up to his full height and looked at Liam catching his eyes between Hazel’s eartufts before asking politely “Who is Thorn, if you don’t mind me asking?“ as he hadn’t been able to follow the direction of Hazel’s previous look.

"No, not all of them fall in love with sentinels." She smiled. "And yes, I have met a few mystics, though they really aren't that talkative. Just mysterious, like the name suggests. Gon't worry, boy, you will have a lot of occassions to see amazing things too!"
