"Eros," Luke called out softly. "Eros?" He wanted to find the man, maybe be alone with him, before things got... Dangerous. Too late, though. Something scuttled behind him in the darkness. He heard its rustling movement, felt its shape with his mind. It was like nothing he'd ever known before. "Eros?" he called out, a bit louder. He may have lived in this house for a while, but that didn't mean he couldn't be afraid of it.
_______
Luke arrived on the doorstep, grateful for a haven visible to only vampiric eyes. Twin oak doors, two times as tall as him, five times as wide, stood before him. On the door; a note, which he took down and read:
Fellow Creature of the Night, Welcome to the Blood House, a safe haven for you and your kind. If you are reading this, you are the first to stumble upon this place. Come in, rest your weary head. But be warned: Once your number is the holy seven, from the cardinal directions come things banished from eternal Heaven.
You will be tested, stranger, friend, with your will, powers, and physical ability. You and your six companions will all face peril and danger. Best of luck.
That was all the note said. And instantly he knew that while this was a "safe haven" for vampires, great things would happen. Great, awful things. But it was a chance he was willing to take. _________
"Eros?" Luke called out again. He didn't know where he was at all, or how he had gotten there. All he knew was that the place was pitch dark, and he wanted Eros with him.

"A game?" Eliza said through the darkness. I never agreed to play any games, she thought frantically. Eliza controlled her fear and pushed it to the darkest corners of her mind. "Is everyone okay? Are there any candles in here?" Eliza asked into the darkness. Her survival mode had kicked in. Eliza was especially concerned for the young vampire. He was probably more vulnerable than any of them. "Alvin? Cadence?" she whispered, since they were the only two she knew by name.

Cadence looked around wildly, his eyes large as they tried to adjust and see through the sudden gloom. "Hello?" He asked loudly; he couldn't feel any of the other's near by... he couldn't feel anyone at all, in fact. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Slowly, he breathed, sending his mind outside of his body to see what was going on; it didn't work. Unnerved by that, Caden's eyes snapped open again. "Hello!" He bellowed, not really expecting anyone to answer. "What sort of trick is this?" Caden muttered to himself, starting to freak out. Darkness and Caden didn't mix well. Dammit, where were the others? Surely if they were lost in this... this... whatever it was, they would answer if they could? A sick feeling went through him. This could be the death Luke had spoken of to Rose when Cadence had first gotten there. He refused to think about that. He'd survived long enough, he wasn't giving up his life, such as it was, anytime soon. His eyes narrowed into a mean glare, an intimidating look on such a big man. Carefully, he put his feet forward to get anywhere he could, hopefully to where at least one of the other vampires was.

"Hello~!" Alvin called again, though now he was walking around, hoping he might find a wall or something. Something moved behind him and he turned to look at what it was, Alvin just found more darkness and a feeling of having no hands. But that was usual for him, bad circulation and such. "Ok, you know I may be slow but I'm not stupid." Alvin said, putting his hands on his hips and looking around some more. Everywhere he looked all he saw was black, and maybe gray but that could have just been his eyes playing tricks on him, he had some trouble with those too.

Luke had given up on trying to find Eros. He was now looking for anyone, any companion in this inky blackness. His eyes had not adjusted; if they had, everything was truly dark, the dark that only exists in nightmares, twisted unrealities. And yet here it was, consuming everything, including him. He continued to walk, and heard the scuttling sound again, multiple times. He even felt something brush his leg once or twice. "Dear God," he breathed. Not that God would help him much here.

Sekka had just gotten to the edge of a forest, the one that surrounded the Blood House. It was night, very dark. She arrived at the front of the house, unsure of what to do from there. She took light, silent steps up the 3 stairs that led to the door. The windows of the Blood House were dark. No light was present. Sekka waited a second before opening the door to the large house.
Silently, she walked into the darkness. It was much darker inside then it was outside. Sekka ran her fingers through her silver hair, turning left and right, looking for the presences that resided in the house.
"Hello?" Sekka called out in a whisper.

Hearing nothing for a few moments had Alvin still listening for something, anything really. Alvin stood back up and-wait, since when did he sit down? He didn't remember ever sitting down. Although, Alvin didn't remember a lot of things, so he let it go for now and finished standing. He must have stood up to fast for his head was now spinning and he almost fell back over. Alvin staggered, and ended up bumping into something hard so he leaned against it for support. Wait, something hard? There were things in here with him! Alvin poked at what he was leaning on, it felt squishy. A pillow perhaps? Alvin poked it again, no, to hard for that...maybe one more poke?

Eros now remained still. He could still sense the minds of other beings. Some were more sentient than others, yet all seemed to carry a deep dislike of him. His eyes remained closed and his body relaxed. He knew it was easier to move when one was relaxed, but aware. He could sense other things as well. Confusion. Fear. Anger. Perhaps these thoughts are from the minds of the other guests? Yet when he tried to pinpoint those minds, the chaos of the other beings grew to block him.

Rose stealthily reached into her inner pocket and pulled out no less than three matches, illuminating them all at once like she had with the mist-words-- with her fingertips. Just a skill she had picked up over the years, nothing, really. The light only radiated around her about ten feet, dimly. After a few seconds of its faltering, it went out with a whisper of rain-- wait, rain? Inside? What? "Candence? Luke? Eros, Alvin, Eliza?" she called out, tugging on her hair lightly. She closed her eyes before sharply reopening them, removing her sunglasses. Her pale blue eyes skimmed through the darkness, as if wading in murky water. She could make out several things with her heightened sense of nightvision, but the details weren't at all sharp-- she had lost her prescription glasses around ten years prior to the night. Odd. Little things that appeared to be scorpion/crab/dog things scuttled across the floor, and large, swirling shadow things drifted around, outstretching their clawed hands towards the members of the house. A big, black ball moved its way toward her quickly, but within seconds she knew it was Tuxedo. Poor Tux. He flung himself into her arms, where she stroked him carefully. "You guys, I suggest we either get out of this place soon or begin this... game."

Things began to creep towards him. They disliked him, though they also admired his features. These ones are especially beautiful. That single thought was echoed by many creatures, rippling around him like water. Why do you not search for the others? They are looking for you. Eros smiled in the darkness. The strange creatures wanted him to walk amongst them. Why should I care if they search for me?
He doesn't realize! Isn't that adorable!? They could die and he doesn't care! Laughter now echoed strongly around him. Eros' mind flashed to Luke, Cadence, Rose, and the others. He couldn't let them die, but he also couldn't give these vile things what they wanted.

Sekka walked farther into the house. Her eyes had already adjusted to the pitch black darkness, for it was dark outside as well. She walked, silently and swiftly, without making a single sound. She came across a hallway when she heard it. An anonymous thumping sound. Something repeated the sound over and over again, every 5 seconds. Sekka couldn't figure out were it was coming from, but she knew it wasn't from on of the guest that were already here.
Sekka continued down the hallway, until she got to the end, where it curved to the right. She hesitated for a second, stopping and deciding not to continue forward. Nobody had come to greet her at the front, so something must've been wrong. Something was happening and it would be reckless for Sekka to walk into a matter that she didn't even understand, nonetheless know what's going on.
"Hello?" Sekka called out again, only in a normal tone voice instead of a whisper.

Eros felt the shadows grow closer. The creatures were now close enough to touch him. Things were whispering to him in languages not known to any mortal. Eros stood, silent. He refused to give these things any pleasure. They wanted him to look for the others. They wanted him to cry out in fear or rage, but he would not.

Alvin ducked, his automatic resonance when he heard a whooshing sound, which he had. Lucky thing he did duck though, for at that moment something whizzed over his head. Alvin took the chance to look up, though hell of he actually saw anything, there was still something there. "It's not nice to try and attack someone who's using you as a wall!" Alvin pouted. "You're creepy, whatever you are..." And with that, Alvin stood up, turned in what he hoped was the opposite direction of what had just swung at him, and ran.
