Unka yawns and rolls over into the spot Pan had just been trying to take what was left of the warmth there. Seeing that the warm spot was cooling quickly she got up and moved over to the water. Slowly she started to lap up some water and shifted. Her body was sore but other then that she was doing well. Her back only hurt a little now and she was sure it was just mad for being fell on.

Pan moved over to the brambles near the spot they had been sleeping, and began sniffing through the brambles. Suddenly he caught the scent of a vole, one that smelled rather plump too and he began to stalk it. Moving silently across the ground Pan noticed it up ahead sorting through some roots and stalks by the water. Walking slowly through the reeds, Pan made sure the vole wouldn't detect him and finally he was right behind it. Suddenly the vole felt the presence of Pan and was just about to run off when Pan surged forward and pinned it. Delivering a sift bite to its neck, Pan killed the creature quickly and brought his prize back to Unka. Setting it down next to her he looked at her in silence, not really wanting to say anything he just smiled and nodded and leaned over the kill motioning her to have as much as she wanted.

Unka watched Pan disappear and watches the place he went for a moment before turning back to the water. She had started to remove some of the dirt and what not from her fur when Pan had returned. When he didn't say anything but offered her some food she smiled. She took a small piece of the vole and started on it.

Pan smiled proudly and sat up straiter as Unka accepted and ate the vole he caught. Settling slightly Pan perked his ears and looked around taking a protective stance over Unka. He wouldn't let any of the mean forest creatures hurt her. As the sun rose higher, Pan began to wake up more and lost is crabby morning mood and his smile was slowly unfurling. He stood and stretched quickly and looked back down at Unka and asked, "Is it good?"

Unka nods and smiles. "Yes it is really good thank you!" As she looked at him in the light she could see that he was bigger. It seemed he had be growing alot and just now she saw that he was much bigger then her. Looking away she sighs. Was she always going to be this small? Or was it just taking her some time to grow up like everyone else. "It's a nice morning."

Pan nodded with satisfaction and took a deep breath of the morning air. "Yes, it is a wonderful day isn't it. There isn't a cloud in the sky, and winds simply whisper of spring. Yes... it is going to be a wonderful day..." Smiling to himself Pan lost himself in thought for a moment before looking back down at Unka. "What would you like to do today my dear? You mentioned something about your parents the other day did you not?"

Unka watches Pan for a little bit. Was she always going to be so small? Shaking her head to clear it of that thought she smiles. "Yes I did. I want to meet them, or at least see them so I know what they look like." She looked away for a moment. "But we don't know where they are or even where to start looking.."

((alright! hmmm...well... now Pan is an adult and Unka is a teen... am I correct? ))
Pan licked the top of Unka's head reassuringly, "Do not worry yourself dear Unka. I am sure we shall find them, and you will bond with them immediately. That is how family goes..." With a smile and a nod Pan stood up and looked around, "Well, there is no time to start traveling like the present! Would you like me to give you a ride?" Pan asked and he looked back over at Unka inquisitively.

Unka fluffed a little. "I can walk on my own." She laughed and tried to get the feeling from the top of her head from Pan licking her using her paw. She stood beside Pan and looked at him carefully. He was still bigger then her but she didn't care. In time she would grow and maybe be as big as Pan. Another look at him and she laughed, maybe not as big. flicking her tail a little she turns her head. "Is it me or do you just keep growing and growing."

Pan blink in surprise at Unka's sudden spunkiness but his gaze softened back to its normal polite look that he always wore. But when he spoke he had a playful tone in his voice as he said, "No, it is not I who is growing bigger! Its this forest! I swear its growing smaller!" Chuckling to himself Pan began to march off through the trees, not really taking any exact path, just moving forward.

Following after him she laughed. "Does that mean I'm just getting smaller as well? Because the last time I checked, you were about the same size as me, maybe a little but bigger." She was not walking beside him. "And look at you now, you seem to tower over me." She fluffed up a little and laughed. This was a day she was going to have fun on, no matter what happened.

Pan frowned, not really liking having this size advantage over his friend. Looking over at her with serenity he replied, "Size is not only measured by your height. You could be as tall as a tree, and still be as small as a pup if your heart does not reach for the sky..." Trailing off, a smile began to build across Pan's face as he understood what he had said. It seemed very smart and deep, and Pan wasn't sure when he had gotten so wise...

Unka watched her friend for a moment before laughing. "Wise words from a dragonfly that doesn't see it through my eyes." She had slowed down when she laughed but was back at his side. "I just like making a big deal about you being bigger then me. If anything happens I know you are there to keep me safe." She smiled to herself for a moment. "Plus if I was as big as a tree I would want to be small because being that big wouldn't be any fun at all."
