Hello everyone. My name is Sander, I'm Dutch, 17 years old. I play guitar and I mainly play metal. When I heard about Dream Theater I was playing guitar for about a year and their guitarist was other than anything I ever heard till then. His speed and precision was amazing.

I strangely couldn't find alot of their music through my p2p program and eventually kind of forgot about them, till their newest release Systematic Chaos. I decided to get it, and I love it. I downloaded Train Of Thought, because I love the heavier stuff of Dream Theater. Some say this is a weak album, others love it. I'm one of the others.

Of course Dream Theater isn't the only band I listen to, but lately it has become one of my favorites again, next to Nevermore and some other bands.

Greetings to ye all! My name's Tom, I'm a 17 year old student from Australia, and I've been a DT fan for not much longer than a year. I idolise Portnoy, pretty much, and they're fast becoming my favourite band.

My hobbies include: Procrastinating.

hai der, mah name is sam. i liek dram theatr alot n i tink dat de gitr soloz r sUper c3wl. twisted

Srsly though. Been a Dream Theater fan for about a year and half. Been a Metal fan in general for a bit longer, and it's neat to be invited into this guild. Dream Theater was one of the gateway bands for me in the Metal genre and it helped me to get into other Progressive acts like Pain of Salvation, Evergrey, Devin Townsend, and Ayreon, as well as starting my interest in more epic forms of Metal like Power, Viking, Doom, and Folk (Symphony X helped too >_>). So ya, Dream Theater is really cool and I dig most of there material, my favorite album being Octavarium.

Sweet, a Dream Theater Guild! My name's Indigo (at least, that's the only name people on the internet will get out of me ^^), and I've been a DT fan since Scenes from a Memory. I've got every album but When Dream and Day Unite (can't find it anywhere crying ). I credit Dream Theater with getting me into good music. I heard the song 'The Dance of Eternity' and it just blew my mind that there could be such awesome music out there. It encouraged me to get into more DT and more prog in general, which got me into all sorts of good music. I've dabbled around on guitar and keyboards, but my main instrument is bass.

Fave album: Scenes from a Memory
Fave song: 'The Glass Prison' from Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
Fave side project: Liquid Tension Experiment (though I love Jelly Jam and OSI too)
Fave member: Portnoy or Petrucci
Other bands I like: Ayreon, Beck, Boris, Deftones, Filter, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Hyatari, Incubus, Kettel, Led Zeppelin, The Mars Volta, Miles Davis, Porcupine Tree, Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, Rush, Soilwork, Sunn O))), Tenacious D, Tool, Uriah Heep, Weird Al, Yakuza, Yes

Hey fellow Dream Theater Fans, Yall can call me TheOneManParty, I'm a 19 Year old Pennsylvanian of the United States.

I recently got into Dream Theater by a friend of mine during this past year of 2006, I got invited to this guild and I feel really happy that there are many other Dream Theater fans out there on the net then just me and my friend.

My Friend had me listen to Octavarium, Six Degrees of Inner Terbulance, Systematic Chaos, Scenes from a memory. I loved them each deerly and all are great albums by far. I'm also into other rock/metal bands and artisist like AC/DC, Ozzy Osborn, Jimmy Hendrix, Pink Flyod, and many other great bands like the Beatles, Led Zepplan, Breaking Benjamen, Weird Al and others.

I'm a keyboardist / piano player and recently stopped playing because of important life decisions and I'm becoming a Musical Arranger, and is currently hired by the Local High Schools here in North Eastern Pennsylvania as their hired music arranger for popular songs for the Highschool Music Departments of Choir, orchestra, Marching band, Concert band and Jazz Band.

I'm currently arranging some Dream Theater songs that are actually quiet easy to play minus all the cool solo's.

Enough about Me, fellow Dream Theaterists and let the intros continue On!!!

^_^

Nice to see the Guild! I admit, I was getting a little worried for a while. You can call me Temp (if only because it's shorter), and I'm a 19-year old from ye olde England! Dream Theater kinda hit me when my friend showed me Octavarium. Not the album, mind, just the song itself. It admittedly blew me away, and it just got better an' better. The rest of Octavarium came along, followed by Scenes from a Memory. After that, of course, came their greatest work in my eyes - Train of Thought. Then came something of a disappointment in the form of "Awake". One Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence later, however, and my faith was quite restored.

Other music likes? Hmm... In my iPod, I have Dream Theater, 36 Crazyfists, Cohees and Cambria, Within Temptation, Arch Enemy, Avenged Sevenfold, Cradle of Filth, Tom Jones, Dido, Killswitch Engage, Queen, Rammstein, Team Sleep, Weird Al, Rhapsody, Liquid Tension Experiment, Dir En Grey and a buttload of videogame soundtracks like Resi 4 and FFVII... -nodz- Quite a varied collection, wotwot.

Much like TheOneManParty, I'm a pianist. Except I'm a classical pianist (Yay me!). So ya... I wish I could play a keyboard as great as Rudess can, so I'll still with the piano... He's probably better at that too. xD I'm currently a part-time web designer and media integrator (I make your website and make it tick, in other words), with other pursuits in journalism (works for a local newspaper) and writing... So ya... Busy busy!

What am I doing right now...? Writing a novel. Strangely, Dream Theater's "In the Name of God" was something of an inspiration in regards to a certain part of the current novel...

Thanks for inviting me, heh.

Hi, y'can call me Schwarz smile And I'm 16 years old from the Uk!
Have been into DT for a while now (can't wait for their gig with Symphony X in October) and my favourite albums would be Octavarium, Train of Thought and Awake.

Uhm, I'm a clarinet/sax player - starting college (6th form, uk college) in September - I will be studying Music, Music Technology, English lit/lang and Geography. Have already been invited to join the City Jazz Band (although it's usually audition only, meh) with my clarinet on the induction day into college.

I work at bodycare where I have to wear very old-fashioned clothes, keep my hair plain black (goodbye, fair red sad ) and have no facial piercings / visible tattoos - they're pretty strict. It's ok though because it's an easy job and it pays for my extravagant nights out. (Y)

Yeah, thasit.

I'm Lewis, I'm 17 from Barrow-in-Furness, England, and absolutely love Dream Theater! I'm often quizzed about my love for them, given that my primary genre is Death metal, but the bands raw talent is just absolutely mindblowing. Panic attack was the first song I ever heard from them, and it simply changed my life!

You'll often find me on Gaia, poor as usual, and in search of gold =), so if you fancy a chat about anything, you know who to find. Currently I have short black hair (Which i'm growing) and consider myself an individual as aposed to any label, and like it that way.

More towards the subject of Dream Theater, my favorite song has to be Fatal Tragedy, followed closely by Panic Attack. There's lots of individual parts of songs that I love too, E.g. The solo from YTSE jam and the intro to Scene 7: Dance of Eternity. For the band as a whole, I think they're exceptional, and would recommend them to anyone I met.

That's a little about me ^^

My name is Shawn and I am from Buffalo, NY. I have been a huge Dream Theater fan for almost 4 years, owning every album and I am now working on the bootlegs from the Ytse Jam recordings.

I am a guitarist, a poet, and a lyricist, which most of the inspiration has stemmed from this band (Though my guitar prowess has much to be desired, I have only been playing for about 2 years unfaithfully.)

Alot of my poetry has the off tempo measures that Portnoy is accustomed to as well in similar taste to the bands extremes, ranging from (Vacant compared to The Dark Eternal Night, the list could go on.)

My favorite song by them is The Glass Prison for 6DOIT, and it is also my favorite album. Images and Words and Scenes from a Memory closely follow, although Systematic Chaos is starting to grow on me a bit more.

I have converted about 20 of my good friends into DT fans and I hope to continue, as this band deserves a great deal of credit, taking some of the world's most talented musicians and creating a band of amazing caliber. I can not say that many bands have a whole album I like, but I've yet to come across a DT song that I cannot stand.
