Nali looked up from Ichibi, who was looking at Hedge. "the boy's ancestor has found him" Ichibi said and now Nali really did think she was hallucinating.she had her finger tips on her temple and sat cross legged, saying quietly "i'm going insane, i'm goning insane..." repeatedly

"But he was gonna hurt Nali" hedge once again yelled
the earlier voice came again, the one instructing him to kill
Yes kill the savior! then free me from your wretched body!
"Stop stop! leave me alone!" hedge yelled, holding his head with both hands

Nali was still repeating the same phrase when Ichibi stood up. he walked over to Hedge and said "the one telling you to kill is a demon who's power you control. the one telling the other voice to keep quiet is the savior."

Never was hedge more glad he had his zune. putting on hotel california at full blast, he covered his ears and yelled the lyrics to drown out the voices.

Ichibi pulled the earphones out and said "you needn't scream the lyrics" he then looked at Nali and asked "any way you can think of for her to stop thinking she is insane?"

why? i like her better that way.
hedge thought for a minute then got and idea. "someones got to do it" hedge muttered. he walked over and smacked nali in the face. grabbing her by the shoulders, he shook her like a ragdoll.
