Koishii X Kyrenx Koishii X Kyrenx How does this sound for an Articuno moveset?
~ Reflect ~ Ice Beam ~ Toxic / Water Pulse / Roar ~ Roost The set looks solid. Go with either Toxic or Water Pulse. Do you think Substitute or Tailwind would be good instead of Toxic or Water Pulse?
EDIT: Okay, i've been adviced by a veteren Articuno user against the use of Toxic. Seems like i'm going to be considering Substitute, Tailwind and depend on what type it comes out, i'll possibly even try Hidden Power.Hmm... well let's say your Articuno is faced with a Heatran? what would you do if you only had Ice Beam? Water Pulse would be pretty good. If you want to toxic kill then I suggest another Pokemon. In all general I hope never to be put into that particular position ( xd ) but in general any Fire, Ice, Steel or Water type would put this poke up in some serious trouble if forced to use strictly Ice beam (despite the fact how well the 3 move defensive combo works). I was originally hoping for Hidden Power [Ground] to be set in this moveset (To take down the Fire and Electric threat), but as I've been unable to IV battle it yet to figure what it's Hidden Power is, it's currently all up to chance at this moment. Would really suck if I couldn't get the H.Power I want, considering how much I actually like this poke (and how well its performed in battles thus far).

I've been getting smashed around by Heatran, so I need a counter.

Against a Heatran, i'd imagine that Tentacruel or Milotic would be a good at stopping it. Kyogre could be used as well if the use of Ubers isn't shunned there as well.

Well I've tried a Milotic, it can somewhat wall a Heatran, but that 394 special attack is quite mean to Milotic. Also, Earth Power can damage Milotic heavily, and most Heatran are bulky so a Surf won't take care of it right away.

Well, could always just go with a Garchomp (or other Ground type) and just EQ the sh*t out of it. xd I believe Ground is 400% super effective against Heatran.

Blizzard is to be used in Hail conditions, but if you really were to make an adjustment, remove Blizzard for Wish and let Wish be passed to a Pokemon on your team.

I'm trying to avoid Hail outside of a Hail team. But if Hail arises by use of one of my opponents, I'll gladly seize the benefit. But how does this moveset sound to you?
~ Ice Beam ~ Hidden Power (Fighting) ~ Substitute ~ Wish/Fake Tears
Obviously I understand Ice Beam and HP Fighting for type coverage (with the exception of Froslass, but I'm not too worried about dealing with such a thing), but I was thinking of using Substitute for lasting power/stalling, Wish for healing Substitute usage (or as a means to support the rest of your team should this Glaceon ever find itself in an unfavorable situation) or Fake Tears for making my Glaceon in to be Blissey's (or any other special wall's) worst nightmare. I'm not expecting to put in too much speed in this Glaceon as you originally recommended as Glaceon has a decent base Defense and moderate base Special Defense but I was thinking more along the lines of 252 HP to help support the Substitute.
As I'm an adamant user of the Eeveolutions (though this is the first time I've ever used this one), I'm just trying to make sure I make the Glaceon out to be the best that it can be, so if there are any holes in this current plan of mine, your input is much appreciated. pirate

Want me to explain why? First off, Glaceon is too slow to be doing anything of the sort to set up Substitute. I know you will say Glaceon's defenses can take some hits, but really that defensive strength will not hold against most sweepers. The low speed will really ruin Glaceon. Though if you use Glaceon on a speed boosting team, I would say your plan could work. Speed is necessary for your Sub idea to work. This is my personal imput. Please give me more of your feedback that way I can evaluate it again.

Do you think if I were to shift the EVs around a bit and go with say 252 HP / 252 Speed / 6 Sp.Atk and if I we're to use Fake Tears and Substitute, would it seem more plausible? Obviously Fake Tears to compensate for lack of Sp.Atk EVs and do you think the EVs in Speed would actually compensate enough to allow Glaceon to get any use out of the move Substitute?
EDIT: Okay, after a few battles yesterday where my Glaceon got destroyed exactly in the way you described (and thanks to the rest of my team for picking up the slack in order to actually win the battles despite the handicap presented by the Glaceon) I whole heartingly agree, the crazy thing needs some speed. But without going with the typical 252/252/6 route shown above, how do you feel about this spread for Glaceon: 252 HP / 192 Speed / 64 Sp.Atk?

Nature please, that way I can check what it runs on Shoddy and then I can evaluate. I definitely agree with 252 HP though. EDIT: If you are running modest, these are the new stats HP: 334 Speed: 214 Sp Atk: 343 I doubt that with 214 speed you accomplish much. Glaceon is in the UU tier for a reason razz though you do outspeed a non boosted Tyranitar, and all those other Pokemon sitting in the 100 speed ranges, but with 214 speed you can't accomplish much. Why not try my new spread. Glaceon@Whatever you please Timid (that way you can gain a little more speed) 198 HP, 212 Speed, and 100 Sp Atk Your new stats run: HP: 320 (Pretty decent) Speed: 240 (you now outspeed Adamant Brelooms, so they are no longer a threat Sp Atk: 321 (decent) This my personal preference.

Is there perhaps anyway to make a Modest nature work? Because it took me quite awhile to find a Modest Eevee with decent IVs and a moderately powerful Hidden Power that was Fighting. I mean, with 343 in Sp.Atk, I think it can afford to drop down a little more with the Fake Tears support. Or do you think I'm stuck with 252 HP / 252 Speed / 6 Sp.Atk?

Not much else you can do with that Glaceon. Though perhaps you can just sacrifice some special attack EVs for speed. The only Glaceon I think that would be effective for a Modest natured one is Choice Scarf though :/
