"You know, these are really big tents." As always, Kyo had a knack for stating the obvious as he gawked wildly at his environment. He seemed to study everything about the tents, taking in every little detail about them.
"Is it just me, or does this place almost feel like one big target?" he suddenly looked around nervously, as though he assumed there was going to be yet another explosion soon.

Motoko looked around, taking notice of her surroundings. Kyo was right. They were big tents, and they did seem very inconspicuous. Kyo was making her nervous.
Though with how often the explosions were taking place, it seemed like they were pretty good chances that they could get hit by an explosion at any time. "...I guess. But i'm sure it'll be safe enough..for a while."

"These are refugee camps set up by the Hidden Leaf and Hidden Sand villages, whatever fighting within the Hidden Rain will try to steer clear of attacking this place unless they want our Countries to begin intervening with their affairs." A man with grey hair, glasses and a Jounin uniform speaks, on his right sleeve is the Medical Corps emblem, while his forehead protector has a Hidden Leaf emblem.
As the rest of the team walks into the tent and pulls off their hoods the doctors serious expression lights a bit, "Ah, Mia. I'm glad you made it in one piece. It seems that the traps littered along the road have grown more devious over the last few days. Can you imagine they've resorted to using children to lure people into their traps?"
"We know." Daisuke lets a small child off his back and escorts him off to be taken care of. Mia looked at Motoko and Anji and gave a smile, "You both need to be looked at to make sure you didn't suffer anything dangerous. Then report back to Dr. Kuri, he'll answer any questions you have and assign you to your jobs."

Ahh. So they would have to make war with other countries if they attacked the settlement. So that makes sense. It would seem they were fairly safe then.
The next bit at least made her cringe slightly. Using children to lure people into their traps. Then again, she was still a child. Most of her teammates were still children. Every country used 'children.' Some of them just chose their fate more than anyone else.
Motoko snapped back to reality as Mia talked to her. "Oh, ok." She knew she was fine. Anji had helped her dodge the log, and she knew none of the kunai had managed to make an impact on her. Still, she'd follow orders. "Who do I need to see to get checked over?"

Dr. Kuri adjusted his glasses and looked at Motoko. "I believe any open stations in this place will suffice, unless you wish to wait behind someone." He says almost curtly at having to answer that.

"Err. Yes, Sir." Motoko turned and wandered a little looking for an open station. She hoped Anji was following suite. She didn't want to have to go looking for him. She was glad he was seemingly ok, though. If he had died back there, like she thought he had..She wouldn't be able to stand it.
The young girl lined up at one of the open stations, and spoke quietly. "I was told to get checked out."

The nurse looks you over and after seeing no apparently injuries gives you a small washcloth to clean yourself up with. As you walk over to the large shared sink you see Anji standing there wiping the dirt off of his face. He looks at you for a moment then gives you a short, silent nod of acknowledgement before going back to cleaning up his face.
After cleaning up you report back to Dr. Kuri and he adjusts his glasses again, "You were originally assigned to help clean the incoming wounded but Mia has said due to your travel here I am to give you kids a lighter load. So I want you to assist Nurse Kobe with tending to the children that come in with their wounded parents." He points towards the East where there is a large flap, "It's the 2nd tent over."
Dr. Kuri tapped Kyo on the shoulder and said, "Hey, don't space out kid. I heard you're not a licensed Medical Nin so we'll need you to go out and help wash and sterilize the towels for today." He points at a large stack of bloody towels, "The washing tent is one tent up and one to the right. Then bring the washed towels back here to be sterilized" Mission Objective: Guardian of the Innocent Journal for Motoko detailing her first day with Nurse Kobe. Example duties that could be done(but are not limited too) are: Playing games with them, feeding them, washing them, checking their temperature, listening to them tell stories of how they got there, attempting to gain information from them on anything resembling Akatsuki
Mission Objective: Washing Away the Past Journal for Kyo detailing his first day on laundry duty. While doing it he encounters another Hidden Sand shinobi, Anji and Sannosuke. Both don't seem overly excited to be stuck washing and sterilizing towels while walking between the pouring rain. If the Sand nin is talked too he has a story regarding a recent abduction of the KazeKage (See: The Rescue Gaara Arc in Shippuuden) but no real information on Akatsuki. If you talk to Sannosuke he has an overly elaborate plan to make the work load faster and easier...and probally doomed to fail....or WILL it?

Phew! What a day. After I was informed that I was to work with the children and Nurse Kobe, I quickly made my way in that direction. After slogging through the mud and dirt for so long, working with a few kids couldn't be that bad. Then again, there were always a few troublemakers. As I stepped up to the tent with the children inside, I steeled my nerve and put on a smile. She had to make a good impression.
As I stepped in, I quickly found the Nurse. "Uchiha, Motoko. Reporting for duty, Nurse Kobe." The young nurse was beautiful. Even admist all the children that were running around, and how stressful a job like this could be, she kept her calm and composure, and always had a smile on her face. Her voice was soft and soothing, and attracted the attention of all the children when she spoke. "Miss Uchiha. Thank you for your assisstance. If you'd like, I've done most of the cleaning today, but if you could manage to entertain them for a little while, that would be perfect." She smiled, again. That smile that drew you in.
I nodded, but before I could even begin to speak, two boys ran up to me, grinning from ear to ear. "You've been told to play with us, right?" The other one spoke, almost finishing the other boys sentence. "Then we want to play Hide and Seek!" Before I could react, one of the boys reached out and pushed me in the stomach, doubling me over in shock. There wasn't any pain, but it surprised me with his quickness. I snapped up, but the boys were fun. "Oh my. Yoshimoto and Kobiyashi seem to have picked you..Looks like you've got your work cut out for you.."
This was the kind of thing I was meant to do, though. Little boys had no chance against a shinobi. Obvious places were first. There was a basket full of clean towels and scrubs. I checked through them pretty thoroughly, there was nothing in them that resembled little boys. Under cots, behind the tent. On the ceiling of the tent. I came back after about an hour of searching and asked Nurse Kobe if she had seen them. Her smile was different this time, and she said no, but she had a slight twinkle in her eye.
Even though I wasn't always searching for the boys, it seemed like every child wanted to play a little. Some of the younger ones simply wanted to pass a ball around, while the older they got the more likely they needed a different kind of stimulation, generally more mental. I even ended up against a boy who wanted to play a game of Go, though it didn't last long. I was never good at those kind of games. It took some time, but I finally managed to get away from them and look for those boys again. Hopefully they hadn't wandered off too far.
I walked to the middle of the tent and looked around once more, hands on my hips. "If I was a little boy..where would I hide.." A slight fit of giggles, followed by a hushing sound came to my right, from the tent wall. She thrust out her arm, grabbing hold of the material and yanking it, a big square path of material giving way, revealing the two boys hiding behind it. "Gotcha! Now it's your turn--" The boy Nurse Kobe identified as Kobiyashi interrupted me, looking slightly irritated."Nah. That's boring. Besides, looks like Nurse Koba wants to see you."
I turned around, the young Nurse looking at me. "Motoko, that's enough for today. It looks like you managed to keep most of the children occupied..or was it you that the children kept occupied? Either way, thanks for all your help." I smiled again, waving slightly. "Of course, Nurse Kobe. Thank you." I left the tent, though Yoshimoto ran right after me, stopping me before I got too far. "Hey, lady. Be sure to come play again, soon." He winked and ran off, leaving me to get some rest.

After reporting back to Dr. Kuri he told you that all the kunoichi were staying in a same-sex tent in the center of the encampment. Making your way there you found that Mia and Misao were inside and already chatting about their while eating a small bowl of stew.
After cleaning up you joined them and heard the rest of Misao's tales as she was on guard duty for the southern road. It all seemed boring and nerve-wracking at the same time, however at the end she did say that she saw something that almost resembled an Akatsuki in the forest but after focusing in on that area there was only a group of crows there that took flight into the air.
After a night's sleep you woke up you were awoken by Mia at daybreak and after a quick breakfast you reported to Dr. Kuri.
Mission Objective: Guardian of the Innocent. Complete! Mission Reward: 0.2 Intuition
Mission Objective: The Casualties of War, Part 1 Another journal assignment! Dr. Kuri assigns you deal with the injured that have arrived with bone limbs or that are suffering from poison due to traps. However, as the day goes by you bear witness to a few of the shinobi (who claim to be with "Salamander Hanzo" the TRUE leader of the Hidden Rain) die rather painfully from their injuries. As a medical nin it is your duty to take care of a patient no matter the background, but near the end of the day the last few patients that arrive are a few severely injured shinobi with scratched out forehead protectors. From the lack of cloaks they are not Akatsuki, but from the reports you hear from the injuried Hidden Rain shinobi, the shinobi they are at war with are the renegade Hidden Rain that now occupy the main village, like the Akatsuki they have scratched out their forehead protectors.
You could try to interrogate them but that would likely be frowned upon by Dr. Kuri...but maybe if you did it in secret you COULD get away with it. Or you could allow them to suffer their fate for the injuries they've caused.

Diary of Uchiha, Motoko.
Another day, another entry. Today I was given a more..serious task. If you can call it that. Every task here is a serious job. Today I was given charge of taking care of the so called 'Salamander' Shinobi. Several people her have called them that, and even a few of the Shinobi have used the term. Still, I have a smaller library of medical techniques than Mia-sama, so I was made to take charge of Broken bones and poison injuries. Broken bones are always hard to deal with, both for me and the patient. It uses a lot of force and some pain to force the bone back into place, allowing me to properly sling it. Patients tend to not respond to the pain very well.
Still, even if these were Shinobi that had sworn away their allegiance to their country my charge was to heal them. But in the process of healing them, I could perhaps..talk, to them. Gain some knowledge from them. Still, I would probably only have time to 'talk' to one of them, any more and I might get caught. And i'd have to pick the right one. Poison injury would be the best one. I could 'befriend' them, making myself look like their saving angel.
I gave a quick look on the roster, and found him. Keiji Sato. I made my way to the cot he was laying on. Their seemed to be no nurses around..they all seemed to be busy. This really was the perfect time. "Hello, Keiji. I'm Motoko and i'll be your nurse..if you could please excuse the pain, i'm about to draw the poison out of your body." The young man nodded. He was fairly young.. much younger than I expected. You could tell we was nervous, as he was sweating profusely.I cleaned the area around where I would make the mark, then I reached over to a small table and picked up a scalpel, making a small incision across his chest. I made a series of handseals, then placed my hands over his chest, the poison visibly extracting itself from his body. I moved my hands towards a small cup and released the chakra, the poison dropping into the cup. I quickly sealed up the cuts and went about cleaning the rest of his body. "So..who did this to you?" It was time to start the questions. Surprisingly, he answered pretty quickly. "It was..a woman. She set a trap, trip wires that fired shuriken laced with poison. It seemed more like she was toying with us. Didn't even really consider us a threat. She simply led us there, and we set off the trap on our own. Then..this floated down."
The young man slowly pulled out a piece of paper that was folded in half, handing it to me. It simply said 'Love, Miyoko.' "I see..Any idea why?" I dropped the towel I had been using to clean him into a small basket. "Not really.." He coughed slightly. "She didn't come back after that. But I could've sworn I saw her shadow again, but she was with another figure too...But I couldn't make it out." I figured it was best to leave him at that. Even if I wanted to get information on Akatsuki, I couldn't do something like prolong this man's suffering. It was best to let him rest.
Unfortunately, all the other patients had nurses, or people near them when I went to help, so I didn't have much of a chance to talk to them about Akatsuki, or Miyoko. At the end of the day, I didn't get any more information, other than Miyoko was indeed here, and active.

That night you hand over the letter and tell your tale to Mia who is grateful that you were able to obtain information. However, she also scolds you a bit for using such methods in order to obtain the information on a patient in your care.
Mission Objective: The Casualties of War, Part 1: Complete
The next morning you were starting the day as normal and Dr. Kuri assigns you to once again handle poisons and fractured bones. He also mentions that you have gotten much positive feedback from your patients the previous day, as well as the children. After going to work for less than half an hour you notice a lot of commotion going on just outside of the tent. You see Dr. Kuri make a face then go out to investigate before your name is called.
Standing outside you see a pair of 'Salamander' Shinobi, Dr. Kuri and Mia. Dr. Kuri nods at Mia and says, "I'll leave the assignments to you I will need to prepare the medical ward for the incoming patients."
Mia says, "Yes sir." Then appraises you, "Motoko there's been a series of ambushes set by the Akatsuki Hidden Rain nearby and unfortunately they were near a few of the civilian farms. We're going to have to split up into teams of two and bring the wounded civilians back here."
The Salamander Shinobi hands you a small, quickly written map that shows a rice farm 3 miles northeast of the refugee camp.
Mission Objective: The Casualties of War, Part 2 Choose a partner from Team Daisuke to accompany you to investigate the Rice farm.

"Sanosuke-kun! Would you mind accompanying me?" She took the map from the Shinobi, nodding at him. She opened it and checked it out. It was very crude. Written in moments of haste. But then again, it was better than having no information at all. She pocketed the map and turned, heading off in the direction of the rice farm, Sanosuke hopefully in pursuit. She had worked with the other members so far, so hopefully she could learn some things about this one too.

Sanosuke lightly shrugged his shoulders and shoved his hands into his pockets. "I guess I'm off then Daisuke-senpai." Following after you only as fast as he absolutely had to to keep you within line-of-sight. Meanwhile Daisuke was crying heavily in the morning rain, "Why didn't Motoko-chan pick me!!!" Mia sighed heavily and headed off towards another farm with her husband. ~At the farm~ As you arrive at the rice farm you notice that everything seems normal, until Sanosuke walks up next to you pulling up his ninja mask to obscure his face, "Something's defenately happened here, at this time of the day the farmers should have started working the fields." He then nods towards the house, "And it looks like there is still a fire going on in the right-most house, no one would leave that running unless they were still inside or they were ambushed while the sun was still down."

Motoko looked around. "Hmm..that's true." Sanosuke was definitely a good choice, outside of the fact that he was one that she didn't know. He had noticed things that she didn't notice at all. "Hmm..well..I guess we need to look for wounded, but do you think the attackers are still around? Or should we keep a lookout for traps?" The young girl pressed forward slightly, though cautiously.

Sanosuke lets out an almost meditative "Hmmmmm" as he works over the situation in his head. "It is possible but their tracks would be covered in all of this rain. If we're going to check the house we should not rule out the possibility that they're inside, near the perimeter watching or left traps behind in the house."
His face looks rather put-off at all the variables in this situation, as Akatsuki clearly has the advantage in preparation time.
