(( For Future reference Talon has a Dragonegg(SS) waiting to hatch XD ))
Talon found a spot and awkardly leaned against a post, watching as the powerful wings propelled the dragon downward to land. He tried to imagine what it was like to be abroad dragonback. He hadn't been chosen from the most recent clutch, but apparently there were still eggs on the grounds. Only a moment later a sqwuak of protest rose from the brown firelizard. The brown clamored over the boy digging it's sharp claws into his sleeves. Talon reached over to scratch his chin. A trill of pleasure rolled from the brown's throat. Talon smiled before looking up to find ocean colored eyes looking at him. He swallowed a bit nervously knowing the fact that he 'should' be back in the candiate barracks.

Zelith shrugged and flicked his tail. Believe what you will.
Rinfala nodded as she made her way out of the water, wringing what water she could out of her clothes a bit disgustedly. "I'm Rinfala. I'm a recent transfer myself, from Ista though. So it's not too much of a difference for me." She gestured towards the brown. "And the big flirt over there is Zelith."

((kay 3nodding it should be here tomorrow then))
"It's nice to meet you, Rinfala." she said and smiled. She frowned a second later though and said. "Excuse me a second while I get this jacket off. I think I just might die of heat stroke if I don't." the woman said and promptly proceeded to strip off her gloves and jacket. Underneath the jacket was a loose white shirt with laces in the 'V' of the neck. She undid these and sighed in relief as her body began to regulate her temperature. "Thank goodness." the woman said and fanned herself. She laughed aloud as she did so and smiled in amusement at the former istan."I suppose it's pretty obvious I'm not from the south, isn't it." she said. Something in the pocket on the front of her shirt began to squirm. A pitiful creel came from the squirming mass as a newly hatched bronze firelizard crawled out of the pocket. and up to Chaerens shoulder. It stretched it's wings and yawned. "Oh yes, how could I forget? This is Basa." Chaeren said, reached up to scratch the little flit, whom chirped happily at the attention. "Only just hatched this morning before I left actually." she said and laughed.
Yersith continued to watch the boy for a moment before calling her her partner. 'Mine, there is a little one watching us...'
"Hum? Yersith says a 'little one' is watching us." she said to Rinfala and looked around, one hand to her forehead to block the sun from her eyes as she tried to spot the one watching them.

The bronze firelizard now loosened itself to perch on Talon's shoulder, canting it's head to the side it chirped seeing the Dragon. In classes he had been told of the mind-link shared between Dragon and Rider. He had prefered to avoid any adult entanglement, knowing that more than likely he'd be sent off to do his chores, he cringed at the thought. The firelizard chirped again pondering about the nervous vibes he received from his companion. Then he watched as the green Dragon's rider turned to look for something... or someone... He wondered if he should sneak away. He sighed knowing that running off would be a sure sign of getting caught. So he stayed put, dragging his gaze from the dragons and directing his attention on his newborn firelizards.

Rinfala chuckled. "Aye, 'tis a bit obvious. I'm originally from Keroon, but I haven't been there for a few Turns now." She looked about at the mention of a "little one." "Hmmn...a candidate perhaps, or a weyrling. Or maybe just a flit, tame or wild." She smiled down at the hatchling.
Zelith eyed the candidate. Snorting, he made his way over, shoving his head in front of the boy.

Chaeren finally spotted the boy, despite the sun in her eyes and smiled. "Ah, it's a boy." she said aloud, stepping neatly out of the way as the big brown made his way towards the boy. Chaeren wondered what exactly the dragon was doing.
Yersith walked over to her rider, packs rustling slightly with her movements. 'He has no dragon mine, I think he will impress though.' The dragon said matter of factly.
Chaeren nodded at her dragons opinion. "Yersith thinks he's a candidate. Looks about right to me." The former harper said. She looked at her mount and remembered the packs on yersiths back. An idea came to her and she smiled slyly. She wiped that smile away though and decided to approach the boy. "Hello there." Chaeren said as she approached the boy, smiling in a friendly fashion. "Am I correct when I say I think you are a candidate for the next hatching?" she inquired before leaning in closer and saying "One who happens to be skipping his chores?"
Yersith snorted in amusement and walked up behind her rider and hanging her head down over her shoulder and cocking her green head to the side to get a good look at the boy.
Chaerens bronze flit chattered angrily as the dragon thrust her head into his territory, his bondeds shoulder. He was silenced by one look from the dragon though. So he slinked sulkily over to Chaerens other shoulder and perching there, curling his long tail around her neck like a bronze necklace. Soon though, he too was examining the boy with curiosity.

At the approach of Dragon and Riders alike, Talon jumped up upsetting both Bronze and Brown flit. They both chirped in suprise before clawing deeper into his tunic. He winced a bit as he felt them digging into his skin. "Ouch! That hurts..." he said to the flitts in a low tone. The brown took flight to perch on the post behind him, while the bronze kept his grip on the boy's shoulder chirping it's displeasure in his ear. Seeing the dragon approach him he made no effort to run or move. He watched as the brown continued to move closer and he held still, although a slight twitch began in his right hand.
"Yes'm, I'm candidate Talon." He said looking up at her with a boyish grin tugging onto his lips as she mentioned chores. "What can I say other than you caught me." He mentioned grinning. Soon another Dragon approached, a bit smaller than the Brown, but still a dragon nonetheless. It seemed he could feel the warmth from the Dragon's breath. He then realized he had at least 5 pairs of eyes on him. all seemed to be examining him. He slipped a book that had been in his hand into a deep pocket. His friend had picked it up for him after hearing he had received two Flit eggs.

Zelith snorted in amusement. Brave, he is. But I wish an oiling.
Rinfala chuckled. "Aw, go easy on the boy. He's rather cute. But alas, I must go and oil this big lug." Still chuckling, she strode to an obligingly kneeling Zelith and hopped up. With a thunder of wings, he launched into the air and winged towards his weyr.

Chaeren waved goodbye to the brownrider, smiling as she did so. She and her dragon watched the pair dissapear into one of the many weyrs that overlooked the bowl. The weyrsinger turned back the the candidate, hands on hips and said "Well, while I don't really condone the skipping of chores, I'll make a deal with you, Talon." she said, pausing for effect and then continuing. "If you help me carry my stuff and find my way to my new Weyr, I won't report you for skipping." she said with a sly smile.
Just to help with the effect, Yersith turned and nosed at the straps that held the weyrsingers few packs to her back and then turned back to look at the boy with pleading, multi-faceted eyes.
Noting her dragons help, Chaeren patted Yersiths head in an understanding and sympathizing manner before turning back to the boy and saying "So, what do you say?"

Talon watched as the brown and rider left for the upper regions of the Weyr. He turned towards the dragonrider, who had firstly addressed him. After she was finished he chuckled to himself seeing that he didn't have much choice in the matter. It was a clevor "punishment," but one that he could tell would be enjoyable. The dragonrider seemed to have a good enough humor. He grinned all the more and gave a deep bow, "It would be an honor, M'lady, to serve someone as beautiful as yourself." Laughter hinted his voice, and when he looked up his eyes gleamed with amusement. If only she knew which candidate he really was, his name stood out within the barracks due to his talent of getting into trouble just for the sake of a good laugh. He paused, before accepting the packs.

"Good answer Talon! I would'a hated to report you." she said with a grin. She started to turn but paused first and said "Oh! My name is Chaeren by the way, and this lovely is Yersith." she said, gesturing towards her green dragon. Loud chitering in her ear caused her to look down at her shoulder and laugh. She clamped her bronze's small mouth shut with two fingers and said "And this little boy is Basa. Happy now?"she asked the flit, whom merely flicked his wings at her and settled down again. Chaeren only shook her head in amusement and turned to her dragon once more. With deft fingers the woman undid the straps on her dragon's back and caught the bags as they tumbled off. She was careful with one bag in particular though, and she explained why as she removed it, the last of the four bags she had brought with her. "This bag has some sand and the rest of my flit eggs that haven't hatched yet, so I'll carry it just to be safe." she said and set it down gently. The green rider decided to leave what remained of her mounts riding gear on so that they wouldn't have to carry it all around the Weyr. "Kay, love, you go sun a bit and I'll call you when I'm settled." she said to Yersith, slapping her lovingly on the shoulder.
'very well, mine.'the green said and launched herself effortlessly from the ground and winged her way up to an open ledge along the opposite wall and stretched herself out, shifting until she was comfortable.
"Right then, Shall we go?" she said, taking up the bag of flit eggs and a bag of other assorted items, slinging the second onto her back. "I was told that I was on the upper floor at the end of the hall. Room has a southern exposure. You know the general vicinity?" She asked the boy, flipping her long black hair so that it fell down her back rather than in her face.
((okay! thanks for the rp! I'll see you tomorrow!))

"A pleasure meeting you..." Talon said politely, normally skipping out on such formality. But he joked around with anyway. He stepped forward to help the dragonrider collect the packs. "These guys are mine... obviously... but I haven't named them yet." He said referring to the firelizards that perched on his shoulder and the post. A moment later both took air and glided around his head. He curiously looked at the bag that contained the precious eggs. "How many do you have?" He began to scoop the bags. "Oh yeah, I know that area... it won't take long to get up there."

((okay and, yes please!))
"Four more actually." she said with a chuckle. "They were going away presents from various friends of mine at Benden. I guess they didn't think to check with each other to see if they'd all gotten the same thing or not." she said with a laugh. "In any case I hope to train them all to sing along with me. With five flits I can have my own personal choir to accompany me when I sing." she said with a grin. She listened as the boy said that it was not far away and nodded. "Okay then Talon, lead on!" As they began to move, Basa launched himself from her shoulder and flew off in front. He beat his small wings to gain altitude, and when he was far above the two humans heads, he circled lazily before going through a few of the arial acrobatics that his kind were so well known for.
