Ummm... One question. When you cast refuge, and a boss monster attacks you and goes through, are you still unable to use any damaging actions/spells/attack?

random mistakes Ummm... One question. When you cast refuge, and a boss monster attacks you and goes through, are you still unable to use any damaging actions/spells/attack? As I envision it, if you fail the chance roll, your basically screwed. It's more for those healer types who keep getting beat down while their trying to protect the party.

how about... Drain Life:(3mp) Deal damage equal to your magic score to one enemy, and restore that much damage in life. Totals are equal to the difference after resistances and magic-blocks.

Atrus_Legnacra how about... Drain Life:(3mp) Deal damage equal to your magic score to one enemy, and restore that much damage in life. Totals are equal to the difference after resistances and magic-blocks. How is this different to the current spell Life Drain? Life Drain (3 MP): Deals 1 damage per a point of magic to one target, for every damage you deal you heal one life.

Life Drain (3 MP): Deals 1 damage per a point of magic to one target, for every damage you deal you heal one life. lmao... umm... I'm an idiot? Yea i didn't know we had that spell... how does one go about getting it? *retorical, goes to look it up himself* How about... humm... meh? the spells pretty much do what needs to be done, for the specifics of this site. I mean, there's no "haste" capibilities, unless you can make some sort of spell that give the party an attack before the monsters get to. Sneak Attack: (Mp6) Your party gets a free action before your enemy gets to act. No additional AP or MP is gained during this time.

An interesting concept, but why would the whole party get the Sneak Attack? Even with the extremely high MP cost, it doesn't seem balanced. Currently, there is the Wings of Achilles spell for 4MP that gives 1 person 1 extra attack on their next round. Your Sneak attack doesn't measure up. Life Drain is currently available in the Ticket Shop for sale.

Life Drain is currently available in the Ticket Shop for sale. Yes, I saw the life drain spell, and I was just shooting in the dark with the sneak attack spell. The truth of the matter is that from the stand point of other rp games, there aren't many options left for spells. I mean, other than something like a 4mp cost to do 3 times magic damage to all enemies, and then 4mp to do 4 times to one enemy. It would seam that an mp version of power up could be useful, both from a caster stand point (speedy magic: magic version power up, then spell) and from the typical actionists standpoint. (magical power up to use the mp they acumulate, then attack)

Radryn Tiaos Flame Aura (2mp) Whenever target ally successfully deals attack damage they also deal 1/4 the casters magic stat rounded up in magic damage. This spell lasts until the end of combat, recasting simply replaces the original amount. Flame Aura, Greater (4mp) For one round of combat whenever target ally successfully deals attack damage they also deal the casters magic stat in magic damage. You may pay 1mp per round to make this effect continue for additional rounds. Aura of Mists (2mp) Target ally recieves a magic boost equal to 1/4 the caster's magic stat rounded up. This spell lasts until the end of combat, recasting simply replaces the original amount. Aura of Mists, Greater (4mp) For one round of combat target ally recieves a magic boost equal to 1/2 caster's magic stat round down. You may pay 1mp per round to make this effect continue for additional rounds. I just noticed this Aura series that was submitted by Radryn before he left and I think it is pretty nice. I don't know if I can do this, but I want to resubmit these for the upcoming contest. It is just a set of awesome looking spells that I don't want to see passed by without notice.

The wording for these spells still needs a bit of work, something to reflect the idea that the lesser versions are no longer in effect after the initial requirements are met. (i.e successful Attack or use of Magic.) The Greater versions would need to state the same, with the added benefit of buying additional rounds for 1 MP. Rounding up is pretty much out too. So rather than attempting to revamp Radryn's idea after the fact, I would prefer that you came up with a similar effect of your own devising, using Radryn as your inspiration.
