Alright o.q I hope this guild is still alive cause....

Anyways...I got a new laptop, yays. It got Vista...nay
When I try to install RPGMaker2k.....it gave me a pop up saying OS is not supported..
Please tell me there is a way to make it install crying

Unless someone's made a patch, no, I don't think there's a way to make it work on Vista.
...
Though, out of curiosity, have you tried changing the installer's compatibility?
To do that, right click on it, select Properties, click the Compatibility tab, then click the little box that says something about running the program in compatibility mode for. Then just select the OS you want it to try running it like.
It's never worked for me when I do it, but apparently it has for some people, so it should be worth trying.
If that doesn't work, you might want to consider upgrading to RPG Maker XP instead. It also has some Vista issues, for some people at least, but solutions have been found for most of them from what I've heard.

I know I should upgrade but I'm still a newbie and I dont want to redo my sprites to meet XP style

Hello. I was wondering if someone could lend me some help.
I have been trying to make an "analyze" skill in rpg maker XP, so that the caster could see a target's HP/SP skills, etc...
I've tried a few things with no luck and looked on the internet for a possible tutorial.. still nothing.. can someone help me?
I have a few other questions too, if you wouldn't mind helping me out

I need a charaset for XP - I have a character in my game that I really can't use any of the default sets for. I have a sketch (though not a very good one.) I will tip you for your time too. Just PM me if you want to do it and I will forward you the sketch. Thanks!
