Chapter 7
[ Gerard's POV ]
As soon as I felt the bus grind to a halt, I pulled myself up, and personally ran round to the front of the bus to see what had happened. My heart was racing, and I was hoping to God we hadn't hit some kind of animal on our way out, but by the time I reached Bob's side, I realised it was a hell of a lot worse. That girl from inside the studio's had been knocked out cold by the force of the tour bus, her cup of coffee spilt right out across the gravel floor, as her limp body lay in the middle of the road. I felt a lump come to my throat as I felt Bob stand up to my side, obviously mortified at what he'd just done. I simply put my hand on his shoulder and pushed him down into the seat, before running off the bus to the girl's side.
To be honest I didn't have a clue what to do, the shock had set in, and to be perfectly honest, unconscious girls weren't really a speciality of mine. The blood was racing round my body as I looked down at her, feeling somewhat guilty, even though I knew full well it wasn't particularly my fault, and before I knew what I was doing, she was up in my arms, getting carried hurriedly back into the tour bus. From what I could tell it was safe to move her for now. Just a bruise at worst, or at least I thought so. Either way, as soon as I was back on, the bus started moving, and at a great speed. Bob had obviously seen the hoards of reporters running up behind us, and to be honest, if they found out about Bob hitting the poor kid, it would not make our situation any better.
As I got into the main area of the tour bus, I was quickly greeted by Ray and Mikey, who began to look nervously at the pale girl I still had clutched in my arms. I took a deep breath and set her down on the sofa, before calling for Frank. He usually knew his stuff when it came to all this medical crap which I hadn't any idea about. And seeing as he was the most likely to injure himself during a performance, he was pretty well practised at it too.
"Frank! Frank, get the hell down here now!"
My voice was slightly shaky, to an extent where it even surprised me. It was then when I realised Mikey was talking to me. For some reason my senses had been totally fixated on the girl. She couldn't have been more than 16, and now she was pretty much getting kidnapped by us. If anyone found out it was going to screw us up big time. Another problem we didn't need, and another problem to stress me out. This day was just getting worse and worse...
