Loni crossed his arms. "So, this book could increase our power if we read it?" he asked. "What would be the point of destroying it? We can live forever and have great power."

"I am Lace" she answered "I invite anyone to help me look for it" she said with a sly smile, all of them combined would create great protection for herself as she looked...all of them with their own powers and flaws "It is meant to be hidden in a desolate land...some place where mortals have not walked...a place unlike everywhere else"

Alice texted a note to her boyfriend, saying something about an extended trip.
Shutting her phone, she said, "I'm up for it, but I'll need to get my supplies before I go anywhere out of the city. I have a feeling there will be more angels the farther from civilization we get." If she could find a way out of temptation...it would be too much to ask for.

Mikayla grunted at the 'go on and live regular lives' comment. She enjoyed her life and could always use more power. She was mostly sitting back and taking in all the information the others had to offer. This was her first time hearing of the book. "Who wants to live a regular life any way. I want power, it's exciting and the thrill of an adventure is tantilizing. I'll help look for it." she watched Lace closely, she had a devious smile on her face. What is she thinking I wonder.

Somewhere that no mortal had been? this was a new fact about this book...he did not know this.
"Your information...where do you get it from?" he asked, had there been something she had read that he had not?
His eyes wandered to the remains of the angel, it wasn't a very pleasant sight to say the least "I will assist you on your journey...we need to be more powerful...the angels are only the beginning, they will get tuffer and we need to be able to defend ourselves"

"The name's Loni and I'll go for the shot at gaining ultimate power." He enjoyed this too much to pass it up and live like a regular human. Regular was boring.

"The same place you get your information I suppose" she said with a small shrug "books" she stepped forward, she looked deeply into the child of wraths eyes, locking him into her gaze "You don't want to destroy it" she said quietly, she knew of his intentions...he had meant what he had said; about their gifts being curses "do you?" she added.

It was like she could see right into his soul, as if she knew every little secret he held inside of him. He found that he could not move and then he realised what was going on...of pride she was and with her sin came the power to control; he had read all about her kind.
He stared at her seemingly large blue eyes and felt like everything around him had disapeared.
"No" he whispered "Of course not"

Alice felt the need to defend him. If he did, he wasn't the only one.
"What does it matter? All you want is to read it. I'm sure enough of us could overpower him if needed."

"That would be a silly thing to do." Karpay said. "Turn us against eachother for a book?"
And what will they do after they read it? Burn it up? Knowing all the secrets isn't going to make life easier. It didn't change that there are things after us...
Before she could finish her thoughts, she heard a whole flock of flapping wings. "Uh guys..."

A wide grin stretched across her face as he answered and then she broke the gaze turning to Alice.
Her smile faded and then she began to speak "Lust, do you enjoy what you have? the gift of immortality; is it pleasing to you?"

Mikayla liked the idea that someone else wanted power. Of, course she wanted wealth too, but she could always get that with her luck. She listened to them arguing. Still gathering information about their personalities. She looked at the angel. It really was somewhat of a massacre, she just didn't want to admit it earlier. She sure asks a lot of questions. Hopefully she doesn't get to me.
She turned,"What is it Karapay"

Those eyes were obsessive, but she asked a simple question to answer after a jarring sensation like that.

Loni glanced at Karpay and then listened very carefully. He heard the wings, as well. He could not help but smirk. "Looks like angel is back on the menu, kids." He cracked his knuckles and awaited the winged creatures.
