I think you're the only one that completed this lesson... XD

reverse card lesson:

I will chose the death card for it is the only card i know off the top of my head...

normaly: the death card represents the death of something, such as a habit, event, way. It represents change, but not actual death. This means something new will happen for better or worse.

reversed: This must represent a prolonged life of a habit, event, way. Meaning the lack of change, or not having the will to change. perhaps representing stuborness? This may be a good thing, but i think it mostlikely means a bad thing. As in not breaking a bad habit, or not willing to change ur ways for the greater good.

That is my interpritation, sry about the del;ay. My comp was acting up, couldnt get on much, and it kept crashing. Darn virouses...^_^

Let's try again and see if my computer wants to work...
(last time, it shut down in the middle of typing the lesson. TT-TT)

Lesson Five: Various Tarot Spreads

So this lesson is more of just an activity than an actual lesson. But anyway, some spreads will be more geared towards answering a certain type of question than other decks. For instance, the Celtic Cross is used for a broad sense of a situation, while the extremely less well-known spread called the Sacred Herb spread is used to gain knowledge of your inner self.

For this lesson/activity, I will provide a list of semi-common spreads (all can be found on Facade.com) and you will be asked to provide a "mat" or picture of how the cards are placed, and a quick (one sentence) description of what each spot means. You will also provide a SHORT description of what the spread is used for. Please don't just copy and paste from Facade... XD

Here's the list of the spreads.
~Creative Process
~Cross and Triangle
~Fourfold Vision
~Hagall
~Relationship
~Shadow Truth
~Three Fates
~Twisting Path
~Two Paths
Please post which spread you would like so someone else can pick a different spread. (I know there's a lot... Not all of them are going to be covered. Also, the Celtic Cross is not on here because that one was already covered. A one-card spread is also not on here because this is basically what we do during card of the day.)

Here's an example using the Sacred Herb spread.

Sacred Herb Spread: Used to gain insight on one's own growth and inner self.

Note:: I used MS Paint to make the "mat", though you can use any means of making one. If you want, you can even go online and search for a "mat" for your spread. (though personally, I found just drawing it to be easier...) *nod*

I've completed the lesson 3 and 4 work. This is what you're wanting, right? For lesson 4, I had done the work for the Death card, because it's my favorite. Then I went through and noticed it had already been done, so I went ahead and did the 3 of Cups.

Lesson 3 Homework

Your question: Why do my mom and I have such difficulty living together?

Card One : 8 of Cups - I'm trying to get away from my problems but I can't escape yet. Too young to move out.
Card Two: 6 of Wands - My mother expects me to succeed in everything that I do and if I mess up, it disappoints her, which upsets me.
Card Three: 6 of Cups - I'm wanting a new environment.
Card Four: 9 of Wands - I'm wanting to leave but there are too many forces working against me.
Card Five: Strength - My obstinacy and unwillingness to admit I'm wrong affects my moms and my relationship. Both of are are stubborn, causing fights.
Card Six: The Tower - I should let go of my faults, such as stubbornness and learn to cooperate instead of fighting for my opinions.
Card Seven: Knight of Swords - My attitude is overly defensive, needs to quit with all the fighting. Constantly on alert.
Card Eight: 3 of Swords - Discord between my mother and I. Quarrels.
Card Nine: King of Cups - I want for myself to be considered responsible, but at the same time I don't want to be completely left alone.
Card Ten: The Lovers - Once I let go of my stubbornness and we come to an understanding, mother and I will be able to get along.

Did these cards relate to one-another? How? Yes. They almost all pointed out the reason why my mother and I don't get along. Showing that we're to stubborn and defensive, also that I'm longing for a change in environment.

Was there a card or combination of cards that struck you on a personal level? The Knight of Swords. One of my worst vices, is that I'm so defensive. It was something that developed a few years ago from the harsh family life with my dad. But now that I'm out of that situation, I'm still trying to let go of the attitude.

Did you gain insight on your question? Yes, I did.

If you came to a conclusion after your reading or after further meditation, what was it? If not, do you plan on pursuing your question more? My conclusion was already stated above, that my mother and I need to learn to cooperate and understand one another, and that I'm wanting a change in environment.

Lesson 4 Homework

Chosen Card - 3 of Cups

Right Side Up - I believe this card symbolizes happiness, vitality, friendships, sharing, community, fulfillment in life, and willingness to see the good in life.

Reversed - Unable to see the good, rudeness, greedy, loneliness, unwillingness to help others and to share what you have been given.

Card of the Day - The Lovers

Meanings: Trust between two people, love shared, a special happiness, duality, balance between two people and in general, good beginnings, a choice between loves.

How it relates to my life: Well, at this point in my life, I'm in a wonderful trusting relationship with my boyfriend. And the Lovers card means a lot to me for this reason, it shows that connection.

PS: Do you want me to do all the cards of the day for makeup work?

I didn't even notice the card of the day had changed sweatdrop

The Lovers:
Represents love or a strong bond, particularly romantic, but can be of any form. It is peace and union. obviously if it means all of this right side up than the lovers reversed is bad news for your relationships in particular.

How it relates to my life - I recently had a friend, used to be a great friend, apologize for how she had been treating me for the past few months. So the Lovers are present in helping to heal a broken relationship in my life.

And I know I said I would do that last lesson a while go, but my computer kind of hates loading pictures right now...ok actually it just hates the world. Hopefully I will be able to put it up soon...
