"Thank you Master Perrian." Vincent says as stands and places his hand on your shoulder, "May the Divine One always watch over this man." Vincent prayed as he crossed himself. "That was the ceremonial lay on hands, the ultimate honor a paladin can bestow on any one person. Your the first person to have that honor from me in over five years. It commemerates our friendship and the true connection between comrades-in-arms."

Perrian bowed to Vincent. "Thank you, Vincent, for that honor. I hope I'll be of help to you in the journey. If there is anything I could ever anything I do for you, friend, please ask."

Fury walks towards the pair, having not gone far after the second match with Vincent. The tale was a familiar one, all to familiar. He had encountered others in his past with similar woes; woes based on honorable mistakes. "It seems Sir Vincent, that our time together is not finished. Perhaps, if you are willing, you would allow me to accompany you on your return to your homeland? It would be a singular honor to help restore your sense of self, if it is within my ability to do so."

"Master Fury, you are a true friend and the single most incredible vision of what a warrior should be. It would be my honor to have you accompany me." Vincent lays his hand on the monk's shoulder, "May the Divine One always watch over this man." Vincent prayed as he crossed himself. "This ceremonial lay on hands is the ultimate honor a paladin can bestow on any one person. It commemerates our friendship and the true connection between comrades-in-arms. May it always be so."

*Djanni retraces her steps back to Vincent's enclave. She was fairly certain that not only had she heard Vincent's voice, she'd heard Master Fury's as well.*

Fury bows his head as the blessing is bestowed, signifying his acceptance and honoring the beliefs of the one bestowing the act. "May the ancestors of old protect you, guide your steps, and soothe your passions so that your chosen destiny may truly be achieved. Not so much a blessing or honor, just an honest wish to see your desires fulfilled, good Paladin. When the time to depart grows near, I shall be ready."

"I am glad to hear--" Vincent cuts short as the sword once again senses the curse within Djanni, "So, she has heard the call as well...will she too see my wish to its end?"

*Djanni, drawn closer by a sudden pulse within the Fire, so subtle that she does not notice it, hesitates at the threshold. The Fire rears, recognizing the curse within Vincent. She blinks at him, finally realizing what drew her.*
"You have touched my hair and thought my name. What is your wish?"
*The words spill out, not what she meant to say, but somehow called forth of their own accord.*

Vincent, thoroughly stunned by the bluntness of the statement, stands in silence for a moment, "......" Vincent shakes his head as he recovers, "I apologize, that was rude of me. But yes, I do have something that I wish to ask of you. As with Master Fury and Master Perrian, I extend an invitation to join these warriors and myself on a journey to my homeland. I can ignore the feelings no longer. Master Fury, if you did not hear before then this will go to you as well. Djanni, before any of you can truly agree to my request, then you should know my past." *Vincent recounts the earlier story with Perrian* ((I'd post it again, but that's a lot to post xp )) "So...now you know. Djanni, I ask that you come with me on my journey back to my homeland. It is mighty dangerous to travel so far, and we stand a good chance at death, so the decision is entirely yours."

*Djanni listens, and the Fire is quiet. Finally, with the strange attitude of her earlier movements, she touches her fingers to her lips and then to her forehead. She extends her hand, palm forward, towards Vincent and pauses as though waiting for something.*
"My pledge, Sir Vincent. My hand to support your hand."

Vincent, not quite sure how to respond, repeats the action. "You are a true friend, Djanni. And you two as well. To be able to so readily risk everything for a man you barely know. That is true curage and devotion." As Djanni ends the cremony, Vincent performs the lay on hands. Strangely, the sword is quite through all of this. Your blessing, perhaps? he thinks to the blade. "Perrian, Fury, and Djanni, when the time comes I will call for you. Through the lay on hands I have instilled in us all a link, so that we can find each other no matter what the circumstance. And now, if you all wish to stay, I'm sure I can whip up another home-cooked favorite to commemorate this occasion!"

Fury smiles, despite his attempt to restrain it. "Ahh, thank you Sir Vincent; but I will decline this once. Until we meet again my friends." With that said, Fury departs until that fateful day should come to bring them together once more...

"I will stay, Vincent, seeing that I have nowhere else to go. I doubt you knew this before, but I do not have a home. Normally I just sleep in the wilderness. It would be nice to have a home cooked meal again. Thank you, Vincent." Perrian says and bows to Vincent.

*Djanni considers*
"Perhaps I shall stay, for a cup of tea if I may trouble you so."

"No problem at all. Fury, I'm sad to see you go, but I understand. Perrian, Djanni, if you would be so kind to follow me." Vincent then leads the two into the confines of his small hut. Both wanderers notice as they enter that a new item has been added to the hut--the two halves of a single, broken broadsword. The sword is engraved with runic lettering, and the hilt is gold, but as it climbs upword two green leaves sprout from the sides and come up and out to form the cross piece. Though broken, the sword still seems to hold quite the edge.
