"I can only hope that no one recognizes me as a fraud,She said with a glimmer of a laugh. She couldn't even explain how absurd it seemed to her at the moment to picture herself dressed like the women of proper society...She shook her head a bit at the thought, as if that would clear it away from her.
"Hopefully,"she added sounding just a little bit smug, "Your Denizell won't take this whole thing too hard." Regardless, she didn't really care; things were going to happen as they were. Somehow, some unfathomable way, she was going to become...the thought seemed near impossible for the firey, rather cut-throat priate Captain Erica Lance.
She paused a moment on that though. "Er...I suppose that society doesn't want it's ladies to do too much fire manipulating, eh?"She said, not thinking that would be something that was thought acceptable...That would be hard to give up.

((I HATE this GODDAMNED s**t! I hate Windows and I hate its goddamned updates and its s**t! People restart their godamn, goddamn hellish little s**t thing! I could murder you! *rants on into the next week but whites out all the swear words to spare the rest of you because she has no intention of stopping*))
Falk just smiled at her when she mentioned the young woman back at Darsure but then raised an eyebrow when she mentioned her element. "Well, I can't say that there are many uses within high society for manipulation, and especially not for the ladies," he said with a shrug. "But don't worry. You can use it as much as you please in private and there are no rules dictating how often you have to be out and about in public or fly around to different baronies or the continent to gorge yourself with others of station," he reassured her, his lips wearing a small smirk. Heavens knew he didn't do it too often. But then again, he could blame it on having duties as a baron when he wasn't off somewhere for the Navy or spending time with his fiancé.
"And I'm sure no one will find out. There aren't many Feoreans in our higher circles so there aren't many to point out there's something odd about you," Falk said with a smile. "But just to be safe, we'll pick a barony that lies a bit to the side, an island you perhaps have been to a lot before, or pick a name and say you come from the continent. After all, you won't have that name for long anyway if you marry." He said it so casually but he didn't look straight at her when he said those last few words.

Lance felt a small wave of pink work its way to her cheeks as the last phrase met her ears. She couldn't quite meet his eyes either. "I guess your right,"She said, trying not to simply smirk as she would when in her best of spirits.
"I do have to wonder though...Is this really going to work? The Company has certainly never been very fond of me, and thus the Navy shares the sentiment..."she had caused eneough trouble for them in her life for several pirate crews. True, if Fahr had 'survived' to pillage another day, his record would more than likely outstrip hers, but as he had not she was very close to the top. So far as she knew, she even had one of the higher bounties of all time...
She stopped talking there, but it was clear as day to anyone with eyes or ears that she had at least one last question to ask, however much she was trying to avoide it...

"Well..." Falk paused for a second, almost as if thinking, before continuing. "It could be harder to convice them to agree to this, seeing as I was useful to them but since you're not taking on a smiliar role, since the navy doesn't allow women to enter," and here his thoughts flew to another person for a second, "but I don't care. I only need to convince one person, since not many knows about this as it is, and I will convince him. He owes me and have nothing on me anymore," Falk said, his eyes, focused on the horizon seen through one of the windows, hardened slightly.
And then a moment of silence filled the room. Falk gave her time to get it out but when finally a minute or so had passed he sighed. "Just spit it out, Erica, you'll probably feel better afterwards." Or?

She sighed. How did he always do that? "...I just wondered...Did you ever..."the woman paused, as if grasping for the right words, "...Did you ever consider comming back?" She knew it was a ridiculous question. It was stupid. He had an entirely different life now.
She didn't mean it to upset their plans now, certainly not, but...she just couldn't get the idea out of her head. What if she couldn't be that person they were somehow designing now? Hadn't he ever considered, even for the briefest of moments simply turning away from the Navy?
Surely by now they trusted him eneoug hto give him some freedom...So why not? Did this life just...Suit him better? Or maybe he didn't miss his old life as much as she wished he did...Maybe he didn't miss the people in his old life as much as she wished he did...

It was at this moment that Bugai knocked on the door. Receiving permission to enter he did so, closing the door behind him. "Sir. Would you have me attend to the pirate's wounds?"

"Yes, please do," Falk confirmed with words and a slight raise of his hand towards Lance before he turned towards the rear windows. "I don't want her healed in front of the eyes on her crew but neither do I want to bring in a corpse for the authorities to hang. they can never make them lifelike enough," he said. If it was a joke, it was a slightly morbid one, you had to agree, but otherwise... it was something else but still a bit morbid.
"We're heading back to Darsun when we're ready to leave," he informed the sailor as he walked over to said windows, "to leave the prisoners there. We do not have the ability to take them with us nor do I want to have to sail all the way back to Asura. Even the closest portis too far away as it currently is."

Bugai nodded, not giving a direct response. This was not because he was rude but because he had already started with his work and the act of healing made him temporarily short of breath. Although he had known about his gift since he was a small child, healing was not the aspect of it that he practiced the most although he was quite good at it. It required more concentration.

As new man entered the captain's quarters, Lance knew at once that the curtain had risen on their little act again. She dropped her eyes away from Falk, scowling slightly at the carpet in a rather defeated way. Even though she had thrown the fight, she still had to at least appear sore about it.
She let out a slightly callous laugh at the Captain's joke, and simply said "You fools in the Navy would do something like that..." Spite seemed to almost saturate her words. Erica Lance had never had a problem phrasing any sentence with the words "Navy" or "Company" in it bitterly...For the moment, it was an extremely useful talent.
At first she resisted Bugai's healing a bit, simply for show, but was grateful for it once she thought it was safe to allow it, even if she didn't look the part. No, she would be the pirate captain simply putting up with this for now, as well as the opposing captain's reasons for it, as long as she needed to.

Bugai mended the slashes and gouges on her body, weaving back together the broken blood vessels and flesh. He worked in a fairly even manner moving up her body, finally reaching her face.

As soon as he started towards the mark on her cheek, she glared directly at him, their eyes meeting. From the very first look it was obvious; fire glowed brightly from deep inside those orbs, and it would surely burn him if he went anywhere near the wound on her face. The silence seemed to speak many words, most of which Lance intended to convey along the lines of 'Even think about it, and you won't walk out of here with all your limbs intact.'
Certainly, the pirate captain was going to make certain that mark remained for eternity. It was going to stay there, and it was going to heal as any wound would on its own...She would just have to deal with it until then.

The healer held her gaze for a moment, glaring back, then dropped his hand with a shrug and a sneer. If she wanted to risk infection or scarring on her face, then so be it.
"Captain?" Bugai stepped back from Lance, facing the admiral.

Falk turned his head and looked at them. She still had the wound and his crew member was intact. Good. Turning around to face the other man, the vice admiral nodded. "Thank you, Bugai. Is the work outside done?" he asked, meaning if the prisoners had been locked away, the Dove was in at least floating condition (without risking sinking) and their crew were well.

Bugai nodded. "Yes sir. Everything has been taken care of. When I came down here they were just finishing taking care of the bodies and finishing work on the ships." He continued waiting patiently for permission to leave. "All is well."
((Someone else finish up this if I'm not on. >_>; Still storming and I'm not going to be on tonight anyway.))

"Good," Falk nodded. "Lock her up and have a guard stationed by her cell at all times, we don't need her crew to know the damage she's taken has been healed. We're leaving," he concluded in a dismissive tone and walked over to the desk where naval instruments, maps and his hat lay. He would have to plan this new route carefully if they didn't want to lose too much time on this... side trip, or whatever he now should call it. Upon that, he needed to plan for the little "slip" with the Dove too. Where would be ideal to loose Lance's men and bury the ship? It couldn't be too close to shore, and it had to be one of "those ports" too, while at the same time not too far away from land. He had promised her after all...
((XD;; I can't for my life seem to place (well, I got one idea, but...) that goddam place. >_<; Ugh. But anyway, I had kind of thought that we would break before my post until the wreaking of the Dove, or something. >.> Hmn...))
