Had Eight been eating or drinking something she would have choked on it. The girl turned on her heel when she heard the familiar voice, frowing softly at the whines she received from Shauna when she turned in the direction away from Asra and stopped walking. Eight's face was a very bright shade of pink at the moment, staring wide-eyed at Ioyla before she toyed with Shauna's hair a little and tickled her cheek with the red feather she used for decoration. "A-Alex? Well...no...but...she does kind of look like us...at first glance..." She murmured, looking down at her daughter and adjusting her hold on her. The girl rose a brow and looked up from Shauna to her friend, sighing and rolling her eyes.
"Alex is better in b--...certain...aspects than you are, so I had to dump you. Sorry, dearest." Anyways! Moving on! There were children here! "Now that that's settled! This is Shauna, the newest member of the family. Right, sweetie~?" Eight rubbed her nose against Shauna's in a little eskimo kiss, petting the fox girl's ears with the brightest smile. "I haven't had her for very long, and I guess I was too busy getting her used to the house and the family to even tell anyone..." Eight suddenly couldn't remember if Shauna had met Alex or not, she was guessing she hadn't.
Hm...? What was this? There were paper squares and a little boy guarding a top hat on a nearby table...so that could only mean one thing, right? A raffle! Eight was quite the little whore when it came to raffles...and...gambling...but she never spent too much of her money. Shauna was happy once again, trying to get Ilistala's attention. Eight grabbed one of Ioyla's arms and dragged her over to the table, waving a few fingers at Adonis as she sat Shauna on the table to write her name on a slip of paper. "I love these! Is your name in here yet, Ioyla?"
Shauna was in her own little world at the moment. These wings...they were so...shiny! She turned to the girl in Ioyla's arms, tugging at 'Stala's foot to get her attention so she could see the boy with the shiny wings too!

Karma looked over at Calumet, smiling once he saw the rainbow of his eyes. He enjoyed this game, whatever kind of flashing lights and swirling colours was called. It was almost like they were in their own little world, the kind where stars glided about like souls among the dust.
"Baaa..." he said absentmindedly, crawling over to the other toddler and tracing his tattoos. Wow, they sure were pretty. So was his hair. Karma instinctively grabbed for it, trying to see if the strips of colour would come off.

Calumet smiled back, not seeming to mind as the other boy's fingers wandered over his tattoos. Physical contact of any kind was a plus, as Cal was a very touchy-feely kind of person.
Oops. Make that ALMOST any kind of physical contact. He didn't like the hair-pulling at all. The spectre-lights seemed to pop out of existance at the instant discomfort. Cal's hands immediately reached for the other boy's, seeking to detach them from his hair, all of which was very attached to his head. He squirmed in discomfort and his tattoos glowed brighter, almost angrily. It was the only warning given--and a poor one at that--before Calumet let out an intense flash not unlike a camera's. It was a defense mechanism, one he had only used once since his creation.

Oh no! All the lights dissapeared! That wouldn't do at all.
Before he could protest, however, he sheilded himself. He was being attacked?! His hands instantly let go of Calumet's hair, and he yelped a little, shrinking into a ball of fear and "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
The bright flash hurt his eyes badly, even when they were closed. The loud music, chatter and the sound of people spilling their party drinks on the floor all seemed to blend into the background.

Asrafel reminded Jocelyn of her new younger brother, Ruka - bubbly and bursting with happiness. But whereas she found the little cherub somewhat annoying, she rather enjoyed this winged boy's company - even if he did invade her space; she didn't mind it as much as she thought she would.
Allowing him to, well, spawn to her, she watched in fascination as Chuu magicked up some chocolate. She could vaguely remember the yammerings of her many siblings at the dinner table - especially the conversations of the 'Three Caballeros' - and had remembered something about The Elf telling The Dog about summoning something himself.
"My brother summons," she said quite suddenly, small nose curling upwards. "But not food - I doubt he can do n'thing useful." She gave a small shrug and fell silent again, hands folding beneath the little bear's neck. She was a little jealous of the fact that Chuu knew magic, and apparently Asrafel had a bit in him as well; she couldn't do anything as far as she knew - she considered herself plain.
And that was depressing.

Cal gave a silent sigh of relief as his hair was removed, rubbing at the spot foreign fingers had clenched at. He frowned a bit at the other boy's yell, unaware that he was the cause of it, and ducked his head to escape the noise, only looking up as the scream tapered off. His frown deepened as he leaned over to pat the boy on the arm comfortingly, the glow of his tattoos fading back into his skin.

For a few moments, Karma had held that defensive ball position, before unfurling himself at the pats he felt on his arm.
Though when he turned to see the source of such motion, he couldn't. Karma had to blink a few times, making a disgruntled noise, before blurry shapes started to form back in focus.
And it was, as always, Cal he was looking at.
"Nae'?" he said curiously, crossing his eyes in hopes that it would make his vision better. Of course, he was asking for Calumet's name. Karma didn't know if Cal even knew his own name. He didn't seem to talk much, that was for sure.
Baniru, on the other hand, was avidly searching for her baby on the opposite end of the room. "Where did that little rugrat get to now?"

Rae peeked her head inside the door to the dwelling curiously - the music and chatter was echoing down the street, and loud music usually meant beer. She wasn't disappointed in this expectation, as her sight landed on the large keg in the room. What puzzled her, though, was the fact that there seemed to be toddlers and little children hanging around. Beer and kids usually didn't mix, in her experience. Oh well, beer was beer.
She stepped over the threshold into the house with a sigh of relief, and if anyone was looking her way, they might be surprised by choice of attire. She appeared to be dressed in a skimpy, shiny black outfit that looked like PVC. Her hair was spiked up in a rainbow colored mohawk in the center of her head and shaved on either side, except for two white authentic bunny ears that appeared to be growing from her head. She looked rather a lot like a raver, and in fact, that's what she was, complete with glowsticks discreetly tucked in a hidden pocket under her skirt.

Asrafel thought the summoning of chocolate was delightful! He squealed happily, unfurling himself from Joce carefully before reaching out and taking one. "Oh, what a lovely trick! You must be the happiest person in the world, because you can always have chocolate! How lucky!"
Speaking of luck.. he looked over at the raffle table where his brother and cousin sat, and blinked at Joce. "You haven't entered the raffle yet, have you? Well, that's silly. Come on you two!" He took Chuu's hand with one arm and Joce's hand in the other, and dragged them over to the raffle table, where Jada was trying to pluck the hat from Donny's grasp.
"Donny, I've got to pick one.."
"Pick! No need to take hat, just pick!"
Jada sighed and stood up, preparing to pick a name out of the raffle, when she saw her cousin come closer. "Oh, more? All right then, I'll wait." She smiled softly, watching her cousin and his new friends. How cute~

Rae, content with a plastic cup of beer in her hand, straggled over to the hat carefully guarded by the boy. There appeared to be several kids approaching, and she paused to let them get in front of her.
"Are you having a raffle?" She asked the woman next to the hat-guard-boy. He was so cute, with his little laurels.

Papree was very glad she hadn''t approached the two others. One seemed dangerous and the other in pain; her own eyes smarted after the bright flashes had erupted.
She scrubbed her face in an attempt to ward off the bright lights, and meant to go back and find Bird-- who was off inspecting drinks and such --when curiosity plagued her again.
... There were pretty lights involved... and she still wanted to know what one of the moving lights felt like.
Papree turned and started toward the two other Shattered as quietly as she could. [I guess my other post got swallowed. n____n; edit: And the Bird can't read! XD;;]

Calumet's head tilted to the side at the boy's question, clearly not understanding him; he couldn't respond verbally even if he had. Dark and colored hair tilted into his eyes and he shook it out--to the bleary-eyed boy before him, it might've looked like he was refusing to answer his question. Instead, he sat back, cupping his hands together in front of himself. His tattoos flared to life once more, and the ball of rainbow-colored lights returned. His new friend looked unhappy at the moment, and the lights seemed to make him happy before. Maybe they would do so again?
EDIT: As with before, he hadn't notice the approach of another, so focused was he on his own creation.

Ioyla pulled a mock hurt expression when Eight mentioned her dumping Ioyla for a boy. Ew, boys! They have cooties! Icky! It's a good thing Page was a girlyboy. Ioyla cradled Ilistala and coo'd at her. "Did Shauna burn your kitchen table, too, then?" She faked a glare at the now awake Stala; Stala giggled and clapped her hands together like the baby actors on Huggee commericials.
And suddennly--she was being dragged off! Ioyla could see from the other end of the spectrum that being dragged wasn't fun. But that wasn't going to stop her anyways, so there was no use dwelling on that. They ended up at a table guarded by a winged-boy with a tophat, who looked vaguely familiar. Where had Ioyla seen him before...? Then she remembered: Nio and Enoh's wedding. He was that kid who did that wacky dance. What a card.
"My name in there? Wha? Oh, no. Naw. But I'll do it if you do it." Ioyla's eyebrows waggled up and down suspeciously, insinuitating something stupid. "Know what I me~an?"
And while Ioyla went wild with the dumb innuendo, Ilistala's foot was being tugged. Oh! Who was this! Stala's wings twitched curiously at Shauna's animal-like appearance. What cute ears! And a tail! It's so hard to impress a baby~. She directed her attention to what Shauna was wanting her to see: a boy in a big hat with shiney wings. They were just like hers! Only...not! Stala screamed in joy, wiggling like a fish out of water in Ioyla's arms to get closer to Donny.

Karma frowned, as he saw Calumet's head shake. It was as if he didn't want to answer his question.
No matter. This kid was cool, and Karma wanted to be friends with cool. So he wiped away the remaining blurriness in his eyes and proceeded to be interested with the other toddler's doings. And then the lights came back! Oh, the lights! A small smile had found it's way back on his face, anything bad that transpired earlier fading from memory.
However, he hadn't noticed another toddler, a young girl, had come before. He was too fascinated by the colours. But now her form took notice in the corner of his eye- her purples and pinks all blending in together.

"Raffle? What's a raffle?"
Her brows knitted, stumbling after Asrafel with the most confused look upon her face. Sukkubus may have explained many things to her the first day, but a 'raffle' wasn't one of them. Enter it...was it a special kind of room? She hugged her ragged teddy bear to her side, blinking rapidly.
The sight of the angel and the boy was quite surprising, and spying their wings she again felt a twinge of jealousy. It seemed everyone had wings these days! Ruka, Ritsu, Asrafel, this little kid and this woman...Joce's lips puckered, brow wrinkling - she wanted wings! Why was she so plain compared to them?
