"No. Yo no Tienes alguien. Cuando yo tenias uno, Mi Papa me dijo que cuando yo me esta con El, Yo no me puedo garar Nada des mis denero que me dejo para cuando no estas viviendo." Ayla blinked three times in rapid succession, thinking of something else to say other than that simple phrase. "Peroooo,--" She lagged this word out, thinking while speaking. "--En Espania, Tenia como..Uno o' dos de estos..Como.." The word escaped her.. "Party." She spoke out in English, Rather than spanish.
"No, I dont have anyone. When I had one, My Papa told me that when I was with him, I could not get any of the inheritance for myself when he's not living." "Butttttt,--" "In Spain, we had like.. One or two of these...What..." "Party." (Translation.)
Ayla smiled and shifted in her chair abit. A waiter came up with a plate full of small, bite-sized food. They all looked good, but she didn't want to be seen grabbing the tray from the poor man, So she lightly grabbed a meat tartar from the plate. "Thank you." Those two words where simple for her to say without sounding fractured and inept. "You..Want something, Namine?" She turned her head to her newfound companion with a smile, nibbling the edge of the meat. "It good.." This, Not so well. Fractured, But only in the slightest bit. Her voice trailed off regardless.

Namine laughed out loud. This girl was quite interesting and endearing. She motioned to the waiter and she picked several of the foods and placed them on a miniature plate. Switching back to english Namine said "There now we can talk and eat." Grabbing up a meat tartar Namine nibbled on it. She had been sitting with the girl for some time but she had yet to know her name. "Dime cual es tu nombre querida. Y que paso con el muchacho de cual hablas?"
"Tell me what is your name dear. And what happened with the guy you were talking about?" (Translation)
Namine noticed that some men were quite interested in the pair and it wouldn't be long before they came over. She smiled sure her newfound companion would be surprised.

Ayla was absorbed in the conversation. She was so absorbed, she was oblivious to the fact that two men where eyeing them. "AYE! Disculpame! Me llamo Ayla." She nodded her head a few times in apology. She knew she felt like something was odd between the two, But at first, she couldnt have placed it. It was the name. Her Own Bloody Name. that she'd forgotten. Oh well. It was in the open now. "Aye.. Franz. No tienies un hombre mas fantastico. El esta con mi Papa Y Mama, Esperando a yo, Porque.. Yo me dijo que yo vienia quando yo hasi un coso aqui.." She continued on after a quick bite of the Tartar. " Pero, yo no quiero nada de ese vivo ya, Yo quiero uno de yo Y yo solamente." She moved the tartar to her lips again, hovering it just before her lips. "Y quien es este personna que tu te gusta, Namine?"
"Oh..Franz. There wasn't one man more fantastic. He's with my Papa and Mama, Waiting for me, Because... I told them that I will come when I do something here, In this town." "But, I dont want anything to do with that life now, I want one of Me and Me only." "And who is this person you Like, Namine?"(Translation.)

Namine smiled. "Ayla that is such a pretty name! But that makes sense a name must match the person its given to. Since you are a beauty it makes sense that your name would be beautiful as well." So it seemed that Ayla also was trying to be different trying to make something of her own and not what others wanted for her. It stunned Namine how they could be so similar even though they were not the same in their nature. She was sure Ayla did not notice that difference in Namine and she was glad for she was becoming fond of the girl. She tried to avoid looking at the men who were looking their way. If she did they would most definetely make their way over thinking it an invitation.
NAmine was surprised at Ayla's last question. "Ayla its complicated. We do not truly know each other. We are worlds apart but there is something about him. Ayla he gave me my first kiss..here at this ball. Since then I have been in turmoil." Namine knew she was making no sense. How could she without telling her everything even who and what she was? Namine was not willing to put herself on the line..not yet. She began to think that maybe the reason why she was opening herself up to Ayla this way is because she feared tonight maybe her last night. She feared that she may die at the hands of the only man to have kissed her..a human..a vampire slayer.

Raoul took in an unnecessary breath of air and let it out in a short gasp, willing himself to rise from the smooth marbled floors of the terraced courtyard. He shut his eyes and turned his face up, up toward the red moon, it's baneful luminance tinting surrounding clouds a shade of dark scarlet. He'd spent a good time here and while the gamboling of people around him provided some amusement, the vampire was beginning to feel a little detached from everything.
It was all beginning to seem like yet another colossal waste of time, even though he couldn't completely relax among his surroundings- what with the night still slipping away by the slow seconds- and yet he didn't feel quite ready enough to leave abruptly. What was wore, Raoul was also feeling the dull pang of hunger in his midsection and that, coupled with his growing boredom, did not leave him predicting a pleasant end to this event... I know I promised not to eat anyone suspicious but this party fast wearies me. Then his eyes snapped open and he smiled; of course, there has to be somebody responsible for the whole event. Perhaps it's time I paid my respects to the host. At this time Raoul was hovering just above the wrought iron railings on the balcony above the party; he stepped off and unto the ground, making his way into the adjoining bedroom.

"Isn't..First kiss happy?" Ayla frowned, then nodded. It seemed tough for her to talk about it. "Listen.. It.. Okay, if you no want to talk about right now." She smiled and nodded again, respectfully to say 'It's okay to have secrets, I have my own, and you have your own.' Tapping her lips with the Tartar, she bit the rest of it off in a very 'Fancy' Manner, Opening her mouth the slightest bit to accomadate the small piece of meat. She thought up a subject. "Ow. Leg feels sleep." She stretched her legs quickly, then crossed them over one another. She didn't much care for differences, and she saw everyone equal, regardless of high moral standing, or their lavish clothing, or any sort of thing that seemed to set them apart. Come to think of it now, her behind hurt like the dickens, Perhaps from all this chair sitting. She payed it no mind, and kept it out of her head, otherwise it would surely hurt more.
What had bothered Namine so much about that question? It seemed like she was fighting herself to come up with a genuine, truthful answer. But then, it seemed like she didn't want to tell Ayla because of the risk of telling Ayla some greater truth or something. Was it just Ayla's imagination? Was she getting up in the years. 'AYE, QUE NO, ESTUPIDA, NO ES ESO, SOLO ES QUE ELLA NO LO GUSTA EL MUCHO..'
'OH, STUPID, THATS NOT IT, IT'S ONLY THAT SHE DOESNT LIKE HIM MUCH..'(Translation)

"Im sorry Ayla, truly I am. It seems I make no sense even to myself." She watched Ayla eat the bite sized food. Namine sipped more of her wine and nibbled on the tartar. Namine found herself wanting to be kissed by someone else. Maybe what she had felt with Victor was nothing at all. I mean she had nothing else to compare it too. Yet Namine did not want to just go up to a random stranger and do that. She looked at Ayla, thanks to her she had a most welcome distraction. "Hey lets have some fun. I dont know if you noticed but some gentlemen have been looking our way the whole time we've been talking." Namine nodded in their direction. "I think we should put them out of their misery and give them a dance or two." Namine waited while Ayla finished before taking her hand in hers and entwining it in her arm. Off they went to greet their admirers.

Oh. Crap. Ayla Mentally screamed bloody murder. She was hoping to the highest power on Earth that Namine had forgotten that dancing was going on. She got up as well as hooked her arms with Namine's, walking wistfully to meet the two men whom had seen the two from afar. "N-Namine! Can't Dance! I t-Try! But I fail! I feel bad for man, I hurt his feet!" She was speaking in a hushed yell, Whispering-yell, she thought up a new word for it.

Another hour passed. Victor thought of his victims thus far, grinning in memorium of each, even the incapacitated one he had taken credit for, and the female pair, which both had apparently been of the undead, the other was in the process of turning. He thought of Namine again. For a moment, he took off his crimson hat and ran a gloved hand over his tired face. He was starting to wear out. No thanks to the mental fatigue caused the enigma that was Namine. "I'm getting too old for this garbage." He chuckled and remembered his days when he was at his peak... he was without equal and knew it. With age comes exhaustion... but also knowledge. "Knowledge... Heh, if I gained such knowledge, I should know what to do about this mystery..." With a flick of his wrist, he brought his hat back onto his head, a large plume now adorning the trim.
He walked back into the main hall. Enjoying the spectacle of the numerous patrons, dancing and conversing. Then he saw her again. Unlike Victor, she had not changed her attire, nor her mask. "Namine..." Dissappearing within the crowd again, he slipped off and watched from afar.

Namine sensed Ayla stiffen somewhat and recalled her mention of not being able to dance. Namine expertly moved them out of view of the men and melded into the crowd. "Ayla I apologize. I didn't take your feelings into consideration. I thought you might have liked to dance with someone. If you want we can sit once more in a different place or we could stand and mingle with the crowd. Namine felt a tingling sensation run up her spine and thought someone had called her name. She looked around thinking that she might see someone. Did someone call her name?
Victor came into her mind. What are you doing right now Victor? Are you off slaying more of my kind? Are you bidding your time for the moment when you'll puncture my heart? Are you thinking about me in the same confused state that I think of you?
She smiled as her gaze roved over the crowd trying to pin point what caused the sensation. She found nothing her emerald eyes could not see through the crowd. She turned back to Ayla. "Sorry dear for a moment I thought someone called my name."
It seems the gentleman had followed them and were now asking for a dance. She looked at Ayla as if to apologize. Letting her new found friend go, she took the hand of the stranger.

Ayla nodded to her. "No, It okay--" She cut herself off when Namine turned, seemingly interested by something on the farside of the ballroom. After looking with her for a few seconds, Ayla averted her gaze back to her companion with a concerned face. What had gotten into her all of the sudden? Was it the guy she liked? Perhaps. Almost immediatley after she turned back to Ayla, she had a smile on her face, and was nodding to the respectable other male, taking his hand as well. "S'okay, Luck." She summed up in a gulp, Nodding to Namine quickly as her and the man walked briskly to the floor.
Luck indeed. That's what Ayla needed just to stay off this poor guy's feet. She went over how the scenario would play out in her head, She would stare at her feet, and Make sure to move them in time, How Abuelo taught her, and Even then, she'd clumsily bump into him or stomp his foot. She shook her head. No use thinking these things now, After all. 'Si no lo ase.. No se sabe si tu puedo..'
"If you dont do it.. You dont know if you can.."

'Late...' thought Poinsettia as he got out of his carriage. His grandfather was most generous in lending it to him. '-"Meet a man my boy, make yourself happy for unhappiness surely waits beyond the doors of thyn imminent fate."-' Poinsettia didn't begin to think of the words between the words, he was going to meet someone tonight! Shivering slightly his small frame looked at the grand place his person had come to settle in going tonight. He looked that of a white haired female with sparkling blue eyes. His dress shoes clicked as Poinsettia's carriage rode steadily away, his blue shawl was adjusted on his shoulders and he smiled nervously. His teal blue lipstick shined lovely on his pale complexion. "Dear... I don't know anyone, how will I speak to anyone, maybe this was a mistake." he muttered to himself in his raspy strep like voice. He had walked into the vicinity and stared among the people. He didn't know where to start. The white haired beauty shut his painted sea blue eyes and walked further and further away from the point of where he could run, adjusting his mask; his eyes opened. Let the night begin.

Victor watched as she returned to the dance floor, bidding farewell to another masked woman. The dance might be an opportunity to get close to her again. Wait... why do I even care? He shook his head and dismissed the notion, and made his way to the ball room floor. The music began to pick up and he took the hand of some faceless woman, hidden behind a mask as were all the others. He danced gracefully, despite his concealed equipment weighing him down. He spun about, masterfully matching each step and systematically working his way towards his mark.
When he arrived where he had planned, in the hand of the one mask he recognized, he said nothing, keeping his identity hidden, dancing with her for a moment. Their moves complimented one another perfectly, in absolute harmony. As the song came to a close, she let out a giggling sigh, saying, "My, you certainly know your dancing." "You're one to talk... Namine," he quickly replied, raising his head enough that she might see beneath the brim, revealing his face. "Victor!?" "Hello again, love." "What are you doi-" "The next song is starting, may I have this dance?"
With a bit of hesitation, she took his hand. The flow of the song was slow and soothing. While the pair moved in masterful rhythym, Victor began to whisper in her ear. "Did you think I would forget you?" Her eyes went wide for a moment until he spoke again. "Fear not though. You know I won't dare take action against you out here in the open." He held her back at arms' length only to draw her back in close again, their lips only inches apart, separated only by a minor amount of air and the mask that adorned Namine's face. "For some reason..." He said very quietly," I wish to know you more." They continued their dance. Namine not entirely knowing what to make of it. "Come with me," he said as he brought her close again, "I will not swear upon Caitlynn's grave more than once, so you will have to trust that I mean you no harm for now." To his surprise, as the song ended, she stood there for a moment, in his arms and nodded. "Onwards, then." He smiled as they made their way back to her alcove.

Namine was enjoying herself. She found it quite fun to switch partners. Each person had a different face, mood, and personality. She now found herself dancing with another stranger. He moved very well and they were in sync. It was as if their movements melded as one. The song ended and she complimented him on his dancing getting ready to take on another partner.
The words that came from his lips halted her movement. He said her name, and as he raised his head she already knew who it was. She felt all color drain from her face. She felt that familiar panic from before trying to overtake her. She said his name asking what he was doing. He called her love. What did this mean? Was he toying with her? She was afraid but excited at the same time. Why Namine? He is a slayer. He wants to be rid of you and your kind.
They moved onto the dance floor after he asked for another dance. She couldnt figure out any possible explanation for this scenario. Did he mean to attack her out in the open like this? Not Victor he was much to cunning for that. Then what? He pulled her into him their lips dangerously close. She recalled their first kiss and she wanted to feel those lips on hers again. His whispers in her ear made her shiver all over and a strange wanting come over her body. Not the type of wanting she felt when she wanted to feed. This was different. In a hushed tone he admitted to wanting to know her more. Why? she thought. Do you want to examine me like a prize before you kill me?
Although all these doubts and fears were running through her mind. She wanted to go with him. Her emotions and her physical being compelled her to. Common sense flew out the window as she answered to a more primal need. They were headed to the alcove. This was the place where they first kissed. This was the place where they declared war on each other. This could also be the place of her demise.

Ayla nodded to her partner as the song faded out, her face a dull peach. "That was fun. Lets do again sometime." She smiled warmly to the man and went off the floor to her prior chair, Scoping out the floor once quickly for her Companion. She wasnt there. But then, There her partner was, but no sign of her. Odd. "Namine.. adonde tu se fue." Her Spanish tounge managed to roll out a meager sentence. She averted her gaze to the entrance, where a person in a blue shawl stood. Obviously a woman, from what she could tell. She turned her gaze away quickly, not wanting to be rude. "Naminee.." She called out lightly, Rising from her chair gently, walking into the dance floor tentatively. She moved her way through and stopped in the middle, turning in circles a few times. Had she been left alone like a fool? Abandoned? It seemed so. Was Namine bored of her? It seemed so. She moved back to her chair and slumped down gently, Blinking. "...Y que mas bueno amiga, Me dejo aqui solita."
She moved a hand to her temples, rubbing them. 'No. Ella no es un Personna que se hace eso. Ella es un Buen personna, dice que lo hace, hace que lo dices. Nunca mas, Nunca menos.' She thought to herself even in spanish, still rubbing her temples with her eyes closed.
A man approached her and offered her his hand. She disregarded it and he quickly withdrew with another woman from beside her, whom made a snicker at her expense.
"Namine.. Where did you go?" "And what a great friend, she left me here alone." 'No. She's not a person that would do that. She is a good person, says what she does, does what she said. Never more, Never less.' (Translation)
