Perrian walked around the mansion and thought about where most treasures would be hidden. He decided to check behind each picture frame, so he took pictures down one by one to examine behind them.

Fury calls out to the team about his findings. "Hey, I've found a key! Unfortunately it's covered in beetles and centipedes at the moment. Anybody bring a can of Raid?"

Kail, who had his attention intently focused elsewhere jumps at the sound of the slamming door. He looks up at his teammates “Looks like we are meant to stay for a while.” Kail, who was not squeamish about such things, then walks over to the cauldron and reaches down with his gauntleted hand to grab the key. He shakes the bugs off it as he picks it up. "I wonder what secrets lie behind the door this key must unlock. Oh and there is something strange about the painting over the fireplace. It's like it is clouded in mist. "

Perrian sighed and muttered under his breath. "And I wanted to burn some bugs......back to taking pictures off of walls." Perrian said and started removing the rest of the pictures from the wall, except the one near the fireplace. He was hoping there would be some items behind them or a secret chamber, etc.

Gerbo, still hanging by the gruff of his robe in the hands of Djanni, points at the painting above.
"Well since both hallways lead back to this room... and since it seems like we are now stuck here with the door slamming behind us and all... I would assume that checking the picture out would be our next most logical step since there is no door that the new found key must unlock."

Perrian nodded and put anything he found behind the pictures, if he did find anything, in his backpack. "Hopefully something is behind this picture." He went to the picture above and removed it from the wall.

Gerbo's adventurers sense tingled as Perrian reached for the mist shrouded picture. Feeling something amiss, he focused his magical energy, anticipating a misfortune on the horizon.
"Watch out everyone... something is bond to happen soon... i can feel it in my little gnome bones!"

Kail’igen couldn’t help but feel a little wary of how wantonly Perrain was disturbing those pictures and then the painting. This place seemed to be infested with magic and spirits. He did not think they would want there images messed around with. “Make sure to put the pictures back exactly how you found them. We don’t want to upset anyone, from this world or the next.”

Fury still seems a little disturbed by the mass of bugs crawling around in the cauldron. "Little... biters... crawly... creepy... bugs..." A shiver rolls up his back, revealing his secret phobia. "Must... squish... must... AUGH! BUGS!" At this outburst, Fury's spiritual fist appears, and begins to pound the interior of the cauldron repeatedly, making a fine insect curry...

*With everyones attention fixed on Perrian while he cautiously pulled down the painting above the fire place, everyone anxious to see what secrets the portrait held. But for all of the fus and anticipation all that is reveled is a whisp of mist. And with that a creepy gust of wind sweeps around the room as you all look around you immediately notice that all of the pictures have returned to their original positions.
Looking back at the painting still in Perrians hands thru the mist in the picture you can see 5 sets of black eyes looking right at you.*
(Dun dun dununuuuuuuuuun!... eek )
