A loud snarl, surprised and not a little angry at the sudden darkness, was Quil's first response to this new turn of events. Blindly, Quil turned his head this way and that, trying to search for the perpetrator... No matter that his night vision was absolutely terrible. Worse than a humans night vision, even, not that he'd ever admit it.
"No, that wasn't me!" The phrase sounded more irritated than it would have normally, but we all know the reason for that, eh? A surprised, confused Quil is a jumpy, angry Quil.

'...Alright...Who forgot to pay the Electric bill?" Arianna yelled into the darkness, being completely serious..or at least..so she thought. She stood perfectly still, "What now?

Anya let out a small yell because she was surpized by the sudden darkness. "Did I fall down again."she tried to think of the reason why she got hurt then she had it.
"Did I slip on the punch I spilled I forget to clean it up." she moved her hands to try to feel the floor. but she soon realized that there was no floor infront of her. "Mr wizard please tell me that this is some of your magic making the place dark." there was now fear in her voice darkness was also like the winged monkies and no good could come from it,
"Mr lion do not be scared I know it is scarry I am scared."

Sudden, pitch darkness wasn't enough. Amid the chaos of confused, startled, and angry party guests, there were added sounds to the mix whose sources were difficult to pinpoint.
From one direction came spontaneous, manic laughter. Withing seconds, there was the sound of a glass punch bowl shattering on the other side of the room, followed by liquid sloshing all over the floor.
Two pinpoints of light shone from high in one corner of the room, but only for a few seconds. One would have to have been quick to spot them, but the almost resembled...eyes, perhaps?

"What th-!?"
Quil whirled at the sound of the laughter- people screamed during this sort of thing, not laugh like a madman. He was put even more on edge by the sound of the shattering glass and subsequent liquid splashing. What the hell was going on here?
The Typhlosion was too slow to catch the flash of eyes, but it made no difference to his reaction.
Quil was, very quickly, becoming pissed off.

Cursing softly in the sudden darkness, Hayden spent a couple of moments trying to feel his way through the room in vain. "Anya? No, it's alright. I'm not scared...and you shouldn't be either." Pausing, he considered carefully what he was about to say before he said it. "Just stay close to Mr. Wizard until we can get the lights back on, okay?" The Charizard, while fearsome to everyone else, seemed protective enough of Anya. He'd watch over her well; Hayden was sure of it, even if he wasn't entirely sure why.
Then the sound of breaking glass. Unable to halt the automatic response, his worried voice rang out in the darkness. "Anya? Are you alright?"

Tara stiffened, muscles tensing as the lights flicked out.
Stay calm. Just stay c-
"What the f-"
The sounds of the breaking glass caused her to flinch, one arm curling back over her cheast, hand in a fist, defensively ready for anything that would come out.
Near silently, a silver eye scanned across the darkness. The door was a little to her left, that she knew she neded to watch. The group of people had been around ten feet straight in front of her, the group of pokemon somewhere else in the room. That laughter.... she couldn't pinpoint that. Her eye darted across what she knew was there, and what she didn;t, haping for some hint of what was going one. The fingers on her other hand inches up towards the face, trailing across the bandages as she bit at her bottom lip...

"Ok Mr Lion I will try not to be scared." though there was now fear in her voice There was so much noise it was so confusing and there was no were she could to place it. The sound of shattering glass brought back memories of the night that she had arived on the island. Th classing of waves the sound of thunder all around her. The lights from the lights seemed like lighting.
Anya could not stand anylonger so she sitting on the floor witch was now wet she closed her eyes letting the tears fall she was shaking a littile one hand was supporting her as the other pushed away her tears from her eyes. She now remember a little of that night but only of the storm going out there and then the pain and darkness. she did not even hear hayden when he asked if she was allright.

Chidi shivered slightly, unnerved by the strange occurances. That laughter... it wasn't someone chuckling at a witty conversation. It sounded crazed. The Raichu could've sworn he saw something bright from the high corner, but it disappeared so quickly that he shrugged it off as him imagining things.
"Wh-what the heck is goin' on?" he stammered, still staring blindly into the darkness.

Fenrir allowed himself to be pulled along, moving in the general direction of the candy table. "Heh, knock yourself out. I was never big on candy corn...always tasted like...stale plastic rolled in sugar." he said, crinkling his nose some.
He noticed how Kira had unceremoniously shoved he gloves down her front and blinked a bit. Ah, girls were strange and interesting creatures. Though he could help but feel envious- he wished he could hide things in his chest too! It would make stashing candy a lot easier.
Entirely unphased by the barrage of questions (partly because he himself tended to ask a myriad of questions on a regular basis and because he liked to talk), Fenrir grinned and worked up a reply. "I'm from Lavender Town in Kanto- though I've been roaming lately, what with being a Pokemon trainer and all. I'm 16 now- I started training a little later than most a few years ago when I turned...13? 12? Somewhere around there. I'm actually here to work, though. And...I guess this place is okay, though I just got here, so I don't know much about it. But if this place throws parties like this, I think I'll get to like it a lot. And you can call me anything you want, as long as I know you're talkin' to me." he answered, nodding his head as he grabbed at various tiny chocolate bars. "How about you? Where are YOU from? Why are YOU? You know, the basics." he mumbled through a mouthful of candy.
He had been shoveling food into his mouth when the lights went out, leading him to cram a fully-wrapped nougat bar into his maw in the confusion. He spit it out quickly, attempting to unwrap it.
He wasn't concerned- it was probably someone running by and flicking the switch off to be funny. He snerked to himself- ah, good times. The noises of a few seemingly disgruntled Pokemon gave him a slight twinge of worry- Pokemon could get dangerous if they became too stressed and upset. But the twinge wasn't nearly enough to bother him. He was sure they'd all be fine, optimist he was.
He looked for more candy to pilfer while everyone was distracted, and succeeded in stuffing his hand into the punch bowl, he pulled it out and shook his gloved hand furiously. Oh...now his hand was all wet. Cheers.
He removed his gloves and set them on the table temporarily, wiping the hand he'd stuck in the punch against his pants.
He head swung around wildly at the sound of laughter, and the shattering of glass made him spin as well. What was happening? Oh, he wished he could see...or that he had his Pokemon...Fizz could light this place up good, or maybe Kado with his fire... but they were at the daycare. Ah, bugger.
He was still sure it was just a joke, and let out a stream of maniacal laughter himself in response, the like of which trailed into amused giggles. He turned in the vague direction Kira had been in.
"Heh, pretty neat effects huh?" he said, looking up to the silver points of light and waving a bit. "Makes you wonder what 'fun' we could have with the lights out..." he suggested impishly.
His idea of fun was sneaking around and tapping people on the shoulder, getting behind them and yelling 'boo!', leaving little sharpie doodles here, there and on the backs of people's suits, and general mischief. The cogs were turning in his head over what fun he could have right now during the chaos...

Arianna frowned deeply and stood perfectly still, "Please tell me some one has a FLASHLIGHT or a MATCH?" She was getting irritated because of the laughter sounding quite unfriendly...and there wasn't enough light to go around stealing things.

Kira had opened her mouth to reply to all of Fenrir's questions when the lights went off. A small yelp escaped her, mostly from being startled than scared, and instinctively she reached out to feel for Fenrir, finally touching his arm and hooking her own in his.
"I was born and raised in Azalea Town, and I've just recently turned 19. I was washed over board by a storm on the cruise I was on and ended up washed up on the island. I was really lucky, Hayden was the one who found me and saved my life, literally. I passed out right when we got to the doors here from dehydration and heat stroke." She whispered to him, not wanting to break the effect that someone was clearly trying hard to pull on them. Her grip tightened a bit at the laughter, but that was all.
The punch bowel shattering, however, not only got a scream from her, but also had her clinging tightly to Fenrir, her face buried into him. Yeah, like anyone could protect someone in this darkness, but it was more the comfort issue.

What the hell? Did the lights go out or was this a person's sick and twisted way of shaking things up? Elea thought there was a storm outside to cause a power outage...then did someone purposely cut the wires or something? She tried see what was around her but she could hardly see what in front of her face. 'Damn it! I knew I should've stayed in my room...but noo, I had to come...' She thought to herself, standing up while keeping one hand to the wall.
Next were the sounds of a evil laughter, some glass breaking and......was that a sparkle of light?! 'Its all part of their ploy, don't get scared..its nothing, probably a Gengar or something...yes relax...steady your heart rate...come on..damnit!' She mentally cursed again, she was starting to get afraid. Wasn't there a pokemon around that could use flash?!

Rapid chittering followed the previous commotion, almost as if something else had been startled by the noise. The sound elevated to a loud, long screeching, covering the leathery sound of wings on the air. The deafening noise lasted only a moment before dying and leaving relative silence once more.
Scrambling sounds over near one food table announced the disappearance of Fenrir's gloves. Hopefully he wasn't too attached to those...he wouldn't be finding them where he left them if the lights ever came back on, that much was for sure.
At the same time, something furry brushed against Fenrir and Kira before disappearing beneath the tablecloth. Unfortunately for all...it left a rather...'unpleasant' odor in its wake.

Nothing could have scared the guard more than the absence of an answer from Anya. Hell, he'd have taken the option of her saying she'd fallen again over silence. Not that he wanted to hear that she'd hurt herself, but at least that way he'd know she could speak. What had happened? Oh, Lugia, don't let her have had anything to do with that sound of breaking glass...
Again, he thought of the walkie talkie and calling for help...but what would he say? That the lights went out? Technically, there was no real trouble other than that just yet, not until it was clear what was going on. No, he'd have to handle this one on his own.
Fumbling at his waist for a moment, he pulled out a tiny penlight and flicked it on. At least they allowed him to carry that...even if the batteries were weak...and wouldn't last long, even as dim as the resulting light was. At least he could try and find Anya and calm a little of the current chaos.
"Everyone remain calm! We can't have anyone getting hurt! Just try not to tumble into anyone or anything and we'll get the lights back on as soon as possible!"
Having made his annoucement to the entire cafeteria, he turned back to more selfish needs. "Anya? Anya! Can you hear me? Where are you?" He headed in the direction he'd last seen the girl, hoping to find her quickly with no sign of serious injury. The poor thing didn't need that again...and Hayden wasn't sure he could handle finding her like that again.
