Utsukushii Otaku Namine smiled. "Oh.. I think it would be wonderful to be in the same class as you. Working together would be an added bonus. I may be presumptous in saying this but since you are the first person I've met, I have begun to think of you as my friend. Will you be my friend? I promise not to make a nuisance of myself." Namine then thought about his other question. " Thanks for the compliment but what do you mean by range? She thought she knew but preferred to let him tell her in case she made a fool of herself. "Um... yeah sure. I would love to be friends with you." Marat blushed a shade of crimson as he said that. He didn't have many friends in the past because he couldn't quite relate to anyone. Except his sister that is. However he felt really nervous all of the sudden and tryed to think of a way to change the subject. But he was lucky as she soon talked about other matters. "Your range is how many octaves you can manage to sing. If you want i can test yours.."

She was so happy he agreed to be her friend. Namine would have to thank him somehow. How..would be the hard part. She didn't know much about him yet except for his love of music and the fact that was a composer. She studied him and noticed the blush that redenned his face. It was adorable. She had learned in her studies that it was created as a reaction to embarrassment, emotions, or weather. She hoped it wasn't something she said. Namine was getting ready to ask him about it when he referred to he voice. "oh well singing and musicality is common in my family. We have never thought to test each other on it. But please go ahead and do so. I would be interested to know what my limits are." Namine moved closer and smiled at him. "What do I have to do exactly?"

As she moved towards him Marat backed away slightly and nearly fell over the piano stool. As by that point he felt as if his face was burning from embaressment he quickly moved out of Namine's way and walked towards the piano. "Um.. Well i will play the notes on the piano and you will sing them. Your range depends on how many notes you can sing. Its quite simple really as long as you know what to do." Marat sat down on the piano stool and positioned his hands over the keys played a few notes. "There, lets start from here"

Namine frowned for a moment. She found his movement a bit odd. Is this how friends behave on the surface? and why was his face so flushed? She watched as he sat on the piano. The concept he spoke of was quite easy. He would play the piano and she would sing along to the sound. His hand settled on the keys and with each press a note was produced. Namine leaned on the piano her back to it..each hand behind her on the piano for support. She followed his notes but now that she figured what he was referring to, Namine knew what her range was. She could sing a high C. Even so she continued with the test. When she sang her heart filled with joy. A joy she wanted to share with the world. Maybe that is how her new friend felt about music.

"Hm.. She is a soprano if anything.. yes definatly a soprano" Marat murmured to himself." Whilst playing the notes, Marat wondered whether she though that the way he behaved earlier was ridiculour, but prefered to convince himself that she didn't notice it at all. As he thought about Namine, he realised that her love for music liberated him from the idea that what he was doing was wrong. As even though he loved music with all his heart, he received no encourigment when growing up. Marat stopped playing as they reached the high C. "Well now you know what your range is Namine. You should be proud of yourself, not many singers achieve that"

Jamie walked back to his dorm after his lessons. They were way too easy. He again grabbed his soccer ball and proceeded to the field. He once again started juggling, hopping for someone to join in with him. He was lonely at this school. Never had he been without friends. He was almost scared because he thought no one would help a british 'poof' in trouble. He started doing the pancake.

She looked back at him once the playing stopped. Her eyes were slightly misty and dreamlike. For some reason or other mermaids could become euphoric when singing or playing music. " Thank you for helping me Marat im glad my voice pleases you. Music is a universal language you know. It can be used to express just about anything." She touched the shell necklace tucked beneath her shirt. Thoughts of home drifted to her and she couldnt help but feel homesick. She then thought about her coming of age quest and realized that home would always be there. This was her chance to experience new things, meet new people, maybe even go on what humans call a date with a nice guy. Her excitement coming to the fore once more Namine twirled from the piano. "So whats next Marat?"

Wow this girl is restless! He laughed and stood up from the piano. "Well i guess i could show you the rest of the school. It makes sence to go around this building first and after i could show you the school field if you are interested." Ofcourse she will be, she seems to be enticed by everything. As Marat watched Namine, he realised that she seemed to find everything fascinating. It was likely to be the usual buzz one experiences when first coming to the Academie, or maybe it was her personality.

Namine giggled. "This school is so large it must have many more wonderful places!" She headed to the door and opened it. She then waited for Marat to come her way. She had heard him laugh for the first time and the sound warmed her heart. Her new friend had to be a wonderful person and she was lucky enough to make his acquaintance. "Marat I think it's wonderful that you are showing me around but I hope I am not keeing you from mre important matters." Even though she wished to spend as much time as possible together, she knew that humans had obligations and Marat was no different. She couldn't help but hope that he didn't though.
