"How...dissatisfying. I was hoping to get more out of that experiment. Oh, well, there are still others to test."
Azrael looked over at Ajora, only one eye open as he laid down on the couch of the home they decided to ransack and stay in for now. The owners were nice enough, but so noisy. Had to get rid of them before they could irritate everyone.
They made wonderful pet heartless.
"It's not like you to think aloud, Ajora. What do you want?"
"You do catch on quick~ Well, I need you to do a little something for me."
Azrael rolled over at that, turning away from Ajora and facing the back of the couch. "Not interested."
"But it requires certain talents. Ones that you excel in."
Azrael thought about it, knowing full and well what kind of talents were being brought up. Especially considering he and Ajora had a conversation about that. And using those talents was always so fun.
"...Who and what?"
Azrael rolled onto his back, noticing Ajora and moved to the side his head was on and had bent over, whispering in his ear.
"Not possible. I'm dark wind, not darkness."
"That's what I'm here for, stud."
Azrael smiled and let Ajora place his lips on his, and he received a 'gift' for the mission.
"Wonderful. Better get on my way, then."
"Oh? You don't want to hear my plan?"
Azrael got up and started walking, his face in a sneer. "Please. I've got this covered. Just back off and it'll get done."
Ajora smiled, glad his pawn was doing what he was told and was at least smart enough to come up with his own plans.
Azrael smiled, glad that he could still keep Ajora pleased when he had his own agenda.
The world shuddered as two very evil beings thought very evil thoughts about each other, and plotted evil things.

Noelle sighed as she got out of the spring. It wasn't too cold, and it apparently had some kind of filtration system in it that kept it clean. She figured it had something to do with the underwater plants in it.
So nice to get all squeaky clean, but I should probably get back.

I think I've stumbled onto a miracle!

The agromancer smiled as she walked back to the train. Sure, it had showers, but sometimes a person just needed a bath. Besides, it's not like no one knew where she was going. She had told Al and Kyle, afterall.
Human! Be wary!
Of what?
And the trees howled with wind that was streaked with blackness that seemed to blot out of sight, even with the moonlight. Which of course meant only one thing.
Azrael was afoot.
Instantly her spear was in hand, and Titan was shouting in her mind.
IDIOT! You cannot take on a replica on your own! Run! Run to safety! Run to the train!
And Noelle followed Titan's advice, running, running as hard and fast as possible.
The pounding of her footsteps just barely rang in her ears, the wind and trees drowning out almost everything else. She only had one thought rush through her mind on repeat.
Runrunrunrunrunrunrunrun
There, she could see it, the lights of the train. She was almost there. Almost to safety. Almost out of Azrael's clutches.
"EEP!"
She came skidding to a halt, spear up and ready, as she saw Azrael between her and the train. But something seemed...off.
He was shocked, hands up in front of him as if to say I'm innocent, and he was talking. "Whoa, whoa, what's going on?" Plus, his clothes weren't like Az's...they were Al's!
"Oh, Al! It's...it's...Eeep!"
She ran and ducked behind him, using him a shield between her and the giant gust of wind that came from behind her, and Aldrick summoned a strong wind that seemed to counteract the wind coming from the forest.
Silence rang through the forest.
Aldrick turned, placing his hands on Noelle's shoulders. "What happened? Are you okay? You aren't hurt, are you?"
Noelle, who had clenched her eyes shut, opened them and looked into Al's worried face, shaking her head. "No, I'm fine. The wind came and...and I panicked and tried to run."
Aldrick quickly hugged her, shushing her and stroking her hair like a mother would. "It's okay, it looks like he left when you weren't alone. He won't get you.
"Oh, Al, I was so scared once I started running."
Aldrick raised her face with his knuckle, smiling. "It's okay. I doubt you'd be the only one scared if it happened to anyone else."
Noelle nodded. It sounded so logical, but still sounded so off for some reason.
"I won't let anyone else hurt you."
Anyone...else?
Something was definitely off.
Why is Aldrick getting closer to my face? Why were his lips puckering slightly? Why's he closing his eyes? What's going on? I thought he was gay?! Eep! What do I do?
And Aldrick's lips touched her's, and she panicked. She'd never kissed anybody before, but she knew this was wrong. She tried to pull her head back, tried to scream.
But he grabbed the back of her head, and his mouth smothered her's, and her scream was swallowed.
No, no, no, not right, not right, help, please, someone, help, oh GOD HELP!!!
And then something pushed it's way into her mouth, and she screamed more, only to feel it go down her throat and deep, deep inside her. It felt so wrong! So...so...wrong...
Her eyes rolled back into her head, and her knees buckled, and 'Aldrick' let her fall to the ground, chuckling. Though, that chuckle stopped when the train door opened, and Aldrick peeked his head out. "Noelle? What's going on out...here...OH s**t!"
Azrael hopped back, his foot just barely missing being impaled by Aldrick's staff, and chuckled again. "Not bad. You've gotten better aim since last time. Oh well, enjoy my gift."
Leaping up high into the air, a Wyvern seemed to fly in from the other side of the train, and the replica landed on it, giving Aldrick a short wave. "Later."
Aldrick knelt by Noelle's fallen form, and made a "Tch!"
Darkness was flowing in the air around her mouth like wisps of smoke.
Kyle poked his head out next. "What's going on?"
"Noelle's been infected...like I was...get Rae and everyone else."
And the train became a place of sorrow and anger once again, and the Replicas laughed.
