"Goodnight." The words slipped from Ranu's mouth warmly, yet something about them seemed cold. He glanced at Dream, then Storm.

Dream yawned, standing and leaving the room, going through the floor to sleep in the larder as a rat.

*Michael's eye coasted from Dream to Nightmare. As he left the room he called a guard over to them. He handed the man a pair of scrolls.*

"Find out what you can. All I need is a small sample."

*The guard nodds and hands the second scroll to another guard. The one heads to the cargo hold after dream and the other waits at the entrance of the dining hall for Nightmare.*

(I have a very evil idea. twisted )

*Michael entered his own private room, accompanied by his lieutenant.*

Lieutenant:"Sir, if I may ask, we have the Zeus... why aren't we sailing directly into Tortuga?"

"Before we act I must be certain that everything is in my favor. I was double crossed once and i barely escaped. This time i will be certain that no one, nor anything else can stand in my way."

Lieutenant: "A.. anything else, sir?"

"I must be sure that I not only know what can be used against me, but i must also be able to counter it."

Lieutenant: "Is that what you sent those two on? How can you be sure that they can accomplish such a task?"

"I didn't just chose any random henchmen. This is what those two were made for..."

*The guard enters the dining all and lets out a low laugh.*

Hunter: "No use in hiding from me..."

*He pulled his hood back reveiling a ruby eye in his left socket.*

Hunter: "...I've dealt with beings like you before."

*The second guard lowers his hood as he enters the cargo hold. His sapphire eye sweeps over the room for any sign of life.*

Hunter 2 "Come on out, sweety."

*He runs his finger over the seal on the scroll, breaking it slightly.*

Hunter 2 "I can smell ya!"

*The Sapphire eye drifted over to Dream, as the Ruby eye drifted towards the ceiling.*

Hunter 1 and 2: "There!"

*The two broke the seals on their scrolls and unraveled them towards their targets. A series of ropes emerged from the paper and wound their way around the rat and what seemed to be air. Sparks danced around the wires as it pulled at the life essence of Dream and Nightmare.*

Hunter 2: "Ya wont be trickin us so easy!"

Hunter 1: "These traps are targeting your life essence, it doesn't matter what shape your in now... you'll be human soon enough..."

Daniel walks past the open door, glancing at the spectacle, then continuing on. He had taken after his father's insomnia lately. He'd been walking around the Zeus for a few hours now, deep in thought. He was working for a man who wanted to kill his own father. He had heard nothing from his mother, Mary Catherine, but endearing stories about the man. He had seen her tears as he spied on her "regret sessions," as he called them. He'd have to find out more before he made a real decision about what he should do.

Dream crossed her arms as the ropes fell away. She smiled coldly and a blue light filled her eyes. "I believe it is party time?" As she spoke, her form twisted. Not many people from that age would understand the M60 that now hovered in mid air towards them.
As she waited, she put power into the magic she would twist into bullets. The bullets were now capable of giving even Kibo or Michael a nice bloodfest.

Nightmare drew back as the ropes sought to tighten him. Smiling coldly, he gripped a rope, squeezing tight. A pulse of pure power surged down it. Undirected, the power tore down the rope, destroying it as it passed. Going into the parchment, it exploded completely. As the ropes fell, Nightmare walked to his sister, holding her and taking the weight. His hand tightened on the trigger and he opened fire on the two men. If they twitched when he'd let the trigger up, he'd pull it again. He could keep up firing far longer than they could twitch.
