It was the weekend. Many new, exciting things were happening with love, but many sad things had happened as well. For example, Ms. Drake, the Intermediate and Expert Fire teacher, had quit suddenly. Some say her magic was found by outsiders in real life, some say she just got bored or her job, or others say she killed herself for unknown reasons. Only the Headmaster knew the reason, and he was keeping the information to himself.

(( I am alive, muahahahah....sorry, couldn't help myself.))
A women entered the front doors without knocking, her cold electric blue-green eyes glances around the hallways. Her long white hair with a faint tint of silver was twisted into a messy bun. As students ran by her as if she was not there she shook her head. 'Youth' she thought to herself as she checked the weight of her duffle bag and strode towards the headmasters office as instructed in the letter, which was tucked within her trench coat pocket.

The headmaster sat in his office, smiling at he filled out some paperwork, taking it from a pile that was nearly complete. Though the hallways were littered with students who stayed in the mansion for the weekend, his office was calm and peaceful. He looked at the timepiece on the wall, softly commenting, "Miss. Amaya is due any minute, I should prepare some tea."
Minutes later, he came out of a back room carrying a tray of two cups and a filled teapot. He placed it on a small table that stood between the entrance and his desk. He opened the door, smiling faintly at the approaching figure. "Welcome to the University of Enchantment, Miss Amaya."

"Please, just call me Amaya, no need for titles," she spoke with in emotionless voice in protest as she held up a hand covered with a black leather glove, while the other held her back off the her side. She put her hand back down by her side as she neared her footsteps unusually silent even though her feet were in leather boots, that matched the rest of her black attire. "You must be the headmaster," she commented making no attempt at going to shake his hand.

The Headmaster nodded at her request, "If you insist, Amaya. Yes, I am the Headmaster of this school, I'm glad to finally meet you." He made no motion to attempt to shake her hand, as she seemed to not attempt to either. He walked over to the table, poured tea into both glasses, then sat down on one of the two chairs that surrounded the table. He motioned to the other seat, "Please, sit."
After taking a sip of the tea, he picked up a paper that just happened to be on the table. Reading it, he spoke softly, "I understand that you're an Earth user, and you are interested in teaching the Expert class. But...I request that you teach the Intermediate class, or perhaps, both. Though I am sure you are capable of teaching such a high-level class, I believe the students are in need of a lower class. If you don't wish to take on the responsibilities, however, I will understand. Please consider teaching both..." he said, not taking his eyes off the paper until the last sentence.

Setting her duffle bag beside the door she crossed the room silently and took the seat acrossed the headmaster. Her eyes followed his movements as he spoke about what was required of her and asked of her. "I would be willing to do so," Amaya said after reaching and taking the glass blowing on the still rather hot tea gently before taking a sip. Setting down the glass she set her hands in her lap and regarded the headmaster for a moment. "I am sure that I will be able to handle both classes."

The Headmaster's eyes brightened up. "Excellent! I'll set you up right away. Your classroom will be...3X," he said, pausing once to look the paper. "It will be on the third floor," he mentioned additionally. "You will begin tomorrow, on Monday. Do you have any questions?" he asked.

Amaya tilted her head a bit a small smirk appearing at the corners of her lips. "Indeed, where might one find a room that is designed for combat training," she asked emotionlessly. As she spoke the tips of fangs appeared between her lips. For the most part these fangs where well hidden, due to her usual consealment of them to keep people from asking too many questions.

A smile grew across the Headmaster's lips. "In your room, 3X, there is a hidden door I am sure you will only be able to find. It leads to a combat room with everything you'll need. The door to your living quarters, should you choose to use them, will be located in that room. Would that be suitable?" he asked, noticing her fangs. He made no comment on them, although he would be sure to ask about them later...sooner rather than, though. The safety of his students was the top priority, and although he was almost sure that she would be no threat to the students, the "almost" would compel him to ask.

Amaya nodded in approval, “You will not be disappointed Headmaster,” she spoke her fangs hiding once again behind her lips. Her electric blue-green eyes flicked to her flat black watch, noticing the time, then folding her hands on her lap in such a way that would allow for quick guarding if need be. Amaya did not appear to be a very open person just from her appearance. The black clothing she wore reflected no sunlight, making it easy to slip in and out of places without being noticed as much.
“I assure you that your students will learn much,” she replied sensing a hint of concern coming from the headmaster. One of her lesser-known talents was sensing underlying emotions, which came in handy with not only teaching but with working some subtle control oriented spells.

The Headmaster took a long sip of tea as she spoke. "I trust they will, Amaya, why else would I have invited you here?" he asked charmingly, smiling. Then the smile dropped from his face as it became serious. He put his cup down. "Before you leave, I need to ask you some personal questions..."
After a few questions about her past, which he promised he would never disclose to anyone, he had trusted her completely. He would never let someone teach his students without him having complete trust in that person, especially for the Expert classes.
"You may leave, now. Or you can stay and finish your tea. It doesn't matter to me," he finished, taking another sip of his tea.

Amaya answered his questions in a way that was almost a half-truth. She did not lie directly nor did reveal many things from her past. Telling one of her past was something that she never willingly did. Her past was to remain hidden for the fear…no not fear that was not what she felt towards it. It was more like a bitter resentment that kept her silence.
It appeared to her from the questions that he asked, and in the manner in which he asked them, that he himself had many secrets that he did not share with the world. Thus she concluded that her past, what ever that might have been was no something she would discuss. Nor would she ever willingly reveal all of her talents.
Reaching for the glass, she tipped back the remaining tea into her mouth, ignoring the need for manners at the moment and gulping it down. “I will take my leave, thank you,” she spoke as she headed to the door after sliding in the chair, which she had occupied.
