Goshu Brandolen

PostPosted: Sun Nov 04, 2007 8:50 pm

Goshu was busy in the hospital, what with everybody needing medical attention and he was the only real good doctor in the land, but he finally got a break and went outside to cherish it. No more than two minutes after going on his break, somebody ran out of the building and almost into Goshu. Goshu whipped around angrily, glaring at the man. "This had better be important, young man..." The man looked nervously at Goshu and stammered. "Th-th-there is a new girl in the hospital, and I-I-I was told that she was t-t-to be y-y-y-y-your assistant." Goshu's glare dropped to a look of aghast. "That's what you came out here and almost ran me over for? ...Fine. I'll meet this new girl." He gave up on a break and walked into the hospital and let the young man lead the way to the new girl. "What is her name?" Goshu asked as they walked. "Her name is Ayra Wingates," the young man responded.

((Sorry sweethearts, I have like no time for this anymore, and won't until like december. My theater production is way behind schedule and I'm throwing every spare moment I have into it. It goes up in two weeks and we have a hell of a lot left to do. Keep going by yourselves. Sorry, should have given earlier notice.

And Goshu sweetheart, that is a MUCH too short post. I will give you time to edit it or try again. Because for a first post where you have free reign over anything that happens and don't have to interact with others, it's just too weak and small. Please, please PLEASE change it and/or improve.

I've been in a bad mood recently and don't want to take it out on you guys. Keep going, I give you control of everything that happens, wars, robberies, even Tria. Go ahead. I'll come back and catch up as soon as I can.

Sorry for disappearing. Have fun without me for awhile))

[[Perhaps the 'A' should be changed to whatever represents the creator/important person absent.]]

((Sorry everyone! I've had a huge coursework load due in and i've been working like hell to get it done so yeah, kinda neglected this place a bit. I'm back for a while now though so yay! ))

Ayra hummed softly to herself as she waited outside of the hospital. She was brilliant at doing her rounds around the city but her father had asked her to become an assistant to a more experianced doctor. The theory was that she would be able to improve with experiance. A noble being an assistant was almost unheard of but Ayra hardly cared. As she waited she looked around with interested dark eyes.

Goshu looked at the woman as he walked up to her. "Miss Wingates, I presume?" he asked as he closed the distance to catch her attention. "My name is Goshu Brandolen. My resident here tells me you are to be my assistant, this is true, yes?"

Ayra turned and smiled at the man, holding out a hand to shake.
"Yes that's me, though it's Dr. if you don't mind. I'm sure you also find it vexing when we put in the work to earn the title only to have it ignored Dr. Brandolen" she replied warmly. As she spoke she looked over the man she would be assisting. Years of being a noble had taught her to do so subtly but she was naturally curious.

"Miss Wingates, I despise the title I was given, and try to keep everything on a first name basis, but if you truly wish to be called 'Dr.' then I shall do my best to comply. Now, I suppose you are not really interested in formalities, am I correct?" He had already surveyed her as he walked up to her, and was ready to move on with his day.

Ayra smiled softly,
"First names will be fine, I just thought we should be polite in our first conversation, Goshu," she replied, for a second her nerves taking over. Although she was usually a nervous sort of person she was always confident in her work.
"I'm ready when you are, just tell me what I can do." she added with a nod of her head, making her blonde hair fall over her shoulder slightly. As she spoke she continued to smile, but there was something a little unsettling about him, though she couldn't quite say what. Assuming it was just her imagination she ignored it, not wanting to make a fool of herself so early in their work relationship.

It was hard, but the two finally made it to a door that didn't seem to be carefully watched. Five times Brant had to tackle Tristan to the ground to avoid being seen by any guards, or anyone at that matter. Tristan leaned against the door, huffing.

"I thought you said there wouldn't be many people around here," he said. He picked a twig out of his hair.

Brant shrugged. "I guess this is a big deal. People wouldn't usually run around the perimeter like this."

Tristan shot Brant a look. He seemed to know a lot about sneaking into the castle. Has he done this before? Tristan has never asked him to...What if he was also working for someone else? That traitor. Why, if Tristan wasn't so afraid of losing a fight against Brant, that traitor would be on the ground begging for mercy. Actually, the truth was Tristan wouldn't be able to get one punch in, even if he surprised Brant.

Brant pushed Tristan off the door, and slowly opened it. No one was around, so the two men swiftly entered. When they were inside, they could see that they were most likely in the storage room for the kitchen. All the spare cooking utensils and pots and pans and stuff could be seen. Quietly, they managed to fully sneak through the storage room, and the kitchen, into an uncrowded hall way without being seen. Without seeming to not know where he was going, Brant led Tristan to the main hallway. From there, they decided to split up, and Brant left Tristan alone and lost.

Lailia opened the door to Lord Varcus' room. The room appeared quite undisturbed. However, the bedsheets were no longer crisp, clean white. Blood stained the bedclothes. So much blood... Lailia swayed slightly and looked away. Apparently Lord Varcus had already been moved.

The young witch made to exit the room when she stopped. Blocking her way was the male servant from before, back with three more men. "Excuse me," she said, trying to get around them. They moved to cut her off. "What is the meaning of this?" she inquired.

"We suspect you for the murder of Lord Varcus," the original servant answered.

Electric blue sparks flew from Lailia's fingertips as her eyes flashed in anger. "Do you know whom you accuse of this horrid act?" she asked.

Looking around, Tristan decided that it was time that he stop standing in the middle of the main hall way, and actually go and do some digging up. His only problems were that he didn't know where to go, and he didn't even know where he was, except that he was in the main hallway, and one way led to the main entrance, and the other way went who knows where. Well, considering he didn't know which way was the main entrance, he played 'eenie-meenie-minie-mo', and decided that left was going to be his direction.

As he walked, he admired the statues, and portraits, and the carpet, and even the wall paint. And he thought his mother had expensive tastes. He had to stop once and examine a small marble statue of someone's head, sitting on a small table. He bent down to examine the features more when a few men passed him. His stomach fluttered, and he felt like throwing up, but they didn't stop to ask him questions, so that eased his discomfort slightly. He stood up straight to see where they were going, and they only walked a few feet away from him before going to a door on the opposite side the head-statue was.

A familiar voice spoke, and then the front man said they suspected the familiar voice of murdering Varcus. He then saw blue flashes, and the familiar voice retorted in an angry tone. Tristan looked back to the statue-head, and mentally noted what was going on. To make sure he wasn't noticed by any of the others in the hall, he hid behind the small table so he couldn't be seen, but he could hear everything.

((I'm going to make Brant's profile once Celestial Lullaby comes back...I'm making him too involved in my head for him to not have a profile.))

Goshu looked at her again and the hint of a smile etched itself onto the corners of his lips. "Well, first we are very busy, let us start in operation ward." He turned and started walking toward the ward. "So, tell me your greatest moment in medicine." He asked as they were walking.

The men winced as the lightning crackled from Lailia's fingertips, the same light dancing in her eyes with a ferocity many would have thought incapable from a 17-year-old girl.

The witch took a deep breath, and the bolts dimmed to dull sparks. "Step aside before I have to hurt you," she said. "You have no evidence against me, and fighting you would be just as good as saying I was guilty."

"Then we'll fight," one of the bolder ones in the back said.

Lailia's eyes flashed at him. "Don't expect to win," she hissed. She glanced back at the leader. "If you don't mind... you're blocking my way."

"Do you mean apart from deciding to become a doctor in the first place?" she questioned, her voice a mix of humour and a child like curiousness. It was a rare sight to see a girl from a noble family do something useful. Normally they married and had a family as soon as possible. Ayra thought for a moment then answered his question.
"I suppose, it would have to be when I first helped with a birthing. There were complications...I felt like panicing but the woman just looked at me in such a helpless way I had to stay calm. We managed to save the baby and her life, and she and her husband just looked so happy. It may not be a great achievment, but it is the one I am most proud of." she replied softly, smiling faintly as the memory returned.

Goshu smiled as he listened to her story. "That's always an amazing time, childbirth. I've had to give many cessarians in the past year and a half." As they neared operation ward he heard a woman on the p.a. system. "Sounds like it's our time, now." He said as he quickened his pace, heading towards a set of double doors to an operation room.
