*eye roll* If she were REALLY sorry, she wouldn't be flaming me on her mule accounts, rofl
Anyhow, YES. Starting fresh nao!
I AGREE! Cloud was overly angsty, Tifa seemed desperate, and Aeris seemed boring, WHICH IS TOTALLY NOT HER.

Heh, what a loser. rolleyes
They could have given Aeris more of a role in KH2. I liked her in KH1. (And I think her voice was perfect then.)

Ya I agree and dont agree. But Kh1 Aerith was much cooler...anyways I liked Aerith's role in KH2. She continues to help with Leon Yuffie and Cid at Hallow Bastion, and she's there for Cloud as she waits for him to defeat his own inner strife. : ) But I agree Kh2 Aerith was kinda boring : O then again it's her dumb voice

Ugh, I hate the fact that they use actors as VA's just to draw in crowds. stare It's true though, Aeris did continue to help out Leon, Yuffie, and Cid, though her role wasn't as important...well, not less important, more like less impact. I loved the scene where Aeris inserted the CD into the computer and remarked "bon apetit" and "don't talk with your mouth full" in a little huffy pose. It was so cute. whee (Lol, and Leon was like, *shakes head*)

On the flip-side, I can't stand this scene. It... SCARES ME. Watching it in slow motion, did NOT help. If it weren't "TTLLY SQERIS", I'd hate it completely. ;D I think it would be cute if it weren't for her tone of voice, in all honesty.
DAMN BAD VOICE ACTOR. DX

I'm going to have to agree about Aerith's second game voice actor. D: She was awful. They should have kept Mandy Moore.

There's something interesting I just thought about in terms of the LTD in KH1. The official statement to me isn't saying that Aeris IS Cloud's light, but that IF you think that Aeris is Cloud's light THEN you would interpret the ending to be romantic. To me, that's not saying that it is romantic, but maybe more like a shout-out to Cleris saying, "I'm not going to say you are wrong." That if you see these two as a couple, then that scene at the end had more meaning to you. But it's not saying that's the fact. To me, considering that when Tifa gives Cloud light we actually see something happening, I think it's very doubtful that Aeris and Cloud's meeting at the end of KH1 is anything but, "Hey, you're back!" in a friendly way. Seems like he should be over joyed that he's found his light. And then on top of that, Sephy in KH2 says that light doesn't suit him. Seems odd if he's already found his light. And then of course there's more than enough evidence to prove that in KH1, he's looking for Sephy, not Aeris. He says he's lost his light, but that's not his main concern. He just tells Sora not to loose his the way he did. I'm just very against the Cleris views trying to turn KH into something it's not. My feelings about this predate any knowledge of the LTD. I have always felt that Cloud's story was about Cloud and Cloud alone in KH1. Aeris and him meeting... in the credits... shows nothing to prove that she's been part of his story this whole time. No words, no scenes... just seems odd to have a sidestory about two people in love when neither of them make reference to each other and they just look at each other when they meet up again after Cloud's decided to come back to the group. Aeris in KHFM talks about Cloud looking for Sephy, so it seems obvious that the last time she saw Cloud was pre-him loosing his light. This is so hard to actually explain, because it seems to obvious, but the time-line just doesn't support Aeris being important. Cloud is searching for Sephy, so he leaves the FF group, and you could say Aeris is part of this group. Hades says he'll help Cloud, and Cloud agrees. Cloud looses his light as a result, but continues his search for Sephy. At the end of the game, he comes back to the group, and Aeris decides to walk up to him specifically. This does seem in character, since out of everyone there I am sure she'd be the one happiest to see Cloud back. But where in that line of events does Aeris play? How does she logically become Cloud's light he looses, even though she's gone from his life like everyone else prior to him loosing it. Does everyone follow? XP If you are going to say Kairi is Sora's light, you have the logic that she disappears, and Sora needs to find her to regain his light. Yet, in Cloud's timeline, Aeris doesn't disappear and then he looses his light, he looses his light when he decides to join the darkness for his own personal gain. Plus, on top of everything, Aeris is extremely accessable. It seems very ironic that Cloud needs her and wants to find and be with her, but somehow can't, even though Sora hangs out with her all the time. XP She's not inaccessable the way Kairi is to Sora. So again, the parallel just isn't there.
Anyways, I think after the confusion of KH1 being apparently about Cloud and Aeris, that it sparked the need for Tifa's presence in KH2. She is not only present, but an active part of Cloud's story, much like a parallel to the real FFVII continuity. Aeris is not longer able to be an active part of Cloud's life, but Tifa is. I am well aware of Aeris' presence in AC, but it's not the same as Tifa's actual physical presence, being able to be beside him in his fights, ect.
Sorry this is so long. I'm just really starting to get back into KH. XD

KH Final Mix confirms that Sephiroth is who Cloud is looking for (Aerith even confirms that's what he's doing, instead of looking for her), and Nomura has stated unequivocally that Tifa is Cloud's light in KH2. He says there's room for discussion in regards to her being human or something else, but her 'light-hood' is established.

That "human or not" little discussion was really odd to me. Apparently people around Tifa can't see her, only those who are sensitive to dark and light like Sora and company. But I really don't see the evidence for this. Sure, Squall isn't seen interacting, or even mentioning her when they were in the same room but ehh....I guess we'll see what happens in KH3.

I think what they meant is that a regular person can't be this type of light that Tifa is. The line seems more to spark your own imagination and make you realize how important Tifa is, not to say that she's an alien or something. XP Who knows, maybe it does take someone special to be able to talk with light the way Cloud and Sora react to Tifa's presence, while others don't. Guess we'll have to wait for KHIII. XP

Something fun I thought of. Cloud and Tifa are in their AC clothing in KHII. Cloud is running from something good, and Tifa's trying to make him realize he deserves this something good. Sound like another story with these two characters? XP
