OMFG you guys, I am so upset right now ;=;
Someone stole part of the designs from one of my characters.
WHAT DO I DO? I NEED ADVICE SORELY BEFORE I ASK HER TO PULL HER IMAGE DOWN! THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME! DDD:

i had a friend that had that happen to her once. take a deep breath and calm down ^^
just kindly tell her that you noticed that she used some of your designs and that you wish for her to take her stuff down. you can also give her the option of giving you some credit for the design if you want. but don't scream at her (it will turn into a nasty situation if you do).
but i think you should feel honored that someone likes your art enough to go ahead and copy it xDDDD
still, if i were caught in this situation (unlikely cuz my art sucks too much for that to happen), i would ask the person to give the credits where they are rightfully due.

I plan to ask her do so, and I have screenshots of the art and when it was posted (in comparison to mine). I've prepared a comparison between the two, and am ready to report her (this is on dA, btw) to a moderator. It doesn't seem like much (4 key points), but the fact that we were friends IRL makes it 1000x more suspicious. :/
It's weird because I was thinking of talking to her earlier to resolve some things (since my grudge against her was mostly caused by me over-reacting, but now I can't really bring myself to forgive her or myself. u_u
Because of my rekindled hostility towards her, it's hard for me to take it as flattery, or even want to settle for credit. ):
The fact that she supposedly has(/had?) an intense hatred for art thieves doesn't help either.
Also, I think your art is darlinnnnng! '3'

i don't think you should use the comparisons until after you ask her. if she denies the fact that she copied, then i would say yes, you should show the comparisons. there's a really popular artist on DA who rips off of popular anime artists and gets tons of hits for it. he doesn't even give credits to the right people. here's a link showing the comparisons between his artwork and official artwork by the professionals he copied them from: http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/879/toounitphailsgf1.jpgi think some of my art is stupidly sucky xD ...i gotz to clean out my DA page and bail xDDD
