Alli stood up, and apologized to the boy she had bumped into, and started running to the astronomy tower. She heard there was going to be a lunar eclipse that night, and she wanted to see it from the astronomy tower. A small part of her mind asked, 'Why didn't you bring Dante?'. She pushed the thought out of her head, and shuffled to her room. She changed into her magelet uniform, and rushed up to the astronomy tower, holding on to her hat.

"I hope we see each other soon too...." Dante sighed after her, he was still coming to realise what had happened.

Rayne finished her talk with the ancient elf, Aphrael.
"well, i don't want to keep you here any longer," said Aphrael "You should go talk to people nearer your own age. It's time you got yourself a suitor, anyways."
Rayne blushed furiously. The old woman gave her a little. push. "that gave you something to think about. no go! you don't have to keep an old woman company."
Rayne shrugged, then left, still feeling distinctly self-conscious.

Alli climbed up the astronomy tower, a silly grin on her face. She'd never had a chance like this back home, and she wasn't about to miss it. She got to the top, and looked up at the full moon. She breathed deep, and waited.

Rayne remembered that there was a lunar eclipse this night. seeing no-one to talk to, she decided to head up here. still in her crimson gown, not the type that flare out a the hips, but a sleek figure-hugging dress, with kick-flaps on the side and a black trim. with her white pearl necklace and earings, she looked almost royal. she walked up the steps or the astronomy tower, which she had visited often on night s like these. she saw a young woman in magelets uniform looking at the moon. she glided silently up behind her then said softly, "up here to see the eclipse, young magelet?" her tri-coloured hair shone softly in the moonlight.

Alli turned to Rayne, and smiled. "Yes, I am!" She was much more comfortable up atop the tower than she was in the crowded ballroom. She clutched her cloak around her, it was getting cold.

Rayne saw the girl was getting chilled. she muttered something, made a strange movement of her hand and a slight warmth enveloped the tower.

Alli smiled at Rayne. "Thank you." She looked up at the moon. "I think its starting soon." She looked over the garden, and waved to Dante. She made a motion for him to come up to the tower.

Dante looked up at Alli and smiled, he clicked his fingers and then, when there was a click behind Alli and Rayne, he appeared, he walked up beside Alli and wondered what was going on, the most he did was protect the queen, he new little about what else was to happen that night.

Alli smiled. "There's going to be a lunar eclipse tonight." She said, smiling. "This is one of the best places to watch it!"

"I've never seen one before..." She looked up at the moon, then smiled at Dante. "Have you ever seen one?" She asked.

"Well yes actually, I am over two centuries old so I have seen one." He said with a smile.

Alli smiled, and leaned against him. The lunar eclipse began, and Alli watched silently.
