Gale OverDrive

(I'm assuming that all items that my character has equipped are connected somehow to each other, if possible.)

The elevator rang a chime as Gale reached the roof floor of the sky scraper. Something told him that this battle wouldn't be a walk through the park, and he was ready for it. Cracking his knuckles as the elevator slid open, he stepped out into bright sunlight, raising up his left hand to slightly block out the light.

On his ears were treble clefs, he decided that these would actually might come in handy for today's battle. He clicked a button on the right side and a visor formed in front of his eyes. The visor tinted the sun, turning the area into a slight shade of blue, and Gale lowered his hand down and grabbed his plasma sword. Deciding to test it out since he's never used it before, he turned it on and made encircling movements with his wrist. The blade glowed a bright blue and hummed with every movement he made.

Jumping up and and down repeatedly to test out his boots, Gale was sure that this fight was going to be great, whether he won it or not.

Now all that was needed was to wait for his opponent to come up as well. . .

Dream smiled as the weapons failed to work. That's what she got for stealing. The necklace protected him against them. As such, he let his guard down, and was hit full on by her unexpected attack. He dropped to the ground as she tackled him down. The necklace, now covered in rubber bands, slipped around his wrist, preventing it from falling off. Upon hitting the ground, the crystilline cloak he wore once again protected him from getting too much damage, but that wasn't to say it didn't hurt. He was one for skill and knowlage, never for physical strength.

He closed his eyes and focused on the cloak. It was his last resort now, and, though it would take a minute to use, would hopefully ensure his victory. Until then, he was on the ground at Amairis's mercy.

"You sure we're in the right city?" Called the pilot from the front, and Notsu(My old nickname in this guild) merely nodded. Staring out the open door of the plane, Notsu called," There, I see him!" Through hsi radio and, without warning, jumped out. "YEEEE HAAAWWW!" He called as he fell towards the building. Releasing his parachute, Notsu glided slowly down, finally pulling it off of him when he was close enough. While he fell lightly onto his stomach, the wind caught the parachute and floated it off.

Standing up and dusting himself off, Notsu spoke through a slightly staticy radio. " Afternoon, Gale. May this fight be both fun and interesting. I have good news: I plan not to kill you. Even better news: I wouldn't want to kill you, and I doubt I'd be able to." He bowed lightly, then continued," Now, shall we begin? Oh and please don't push me off the edge. That was my last parachute and, well, I don't have any reliable wings." Notsu drew a small, metal stick from his pocket, and it extended into a red laser. He stood in a fencer's position, waiting for Gale's move.

Amairis laughed as her attack carried Dream straight to the ground. She'd never seen Dream fight in weaponless combat, and apparently he wasn't as skilled in that area as she'd assumed. Mood lightened by this realization, she didn't go through with the "pummel him into unrecognizable mush" plan she'd been aiming at with the tackle. Instead, she perched on his stomach and pinned his shoulders down with her knees--a position that would keep not only his shoulders down, but make moving his arms difficult.
A wicked grin spreading across her face, she plucked one of the floating hearts from above her head. She planted a light kiss on it before blowing it towards his face. It drifted until it was above his head, and then dissolved into amethyst glitter and fluttered down to his face.
"Do you believe in magic in a young girl's heart?" she asked him, a mirthful sparkle entering her eyes. Whether he believed or not, magic was what the heart had contained. More specifically--romance magic. The moment it touched his face, he would be hopelessly infatuated with her. Rather inconvenient when you're making an attempt at someone's demise, no?
"Dream..." she called his name, voice sweetly and compellingly melodic, "Dream, why do you close your eyes? Your eyes are simply enchanting, and I'd so love to see them again...please?" she asked, her tone sincere.

Dream, who had already been friendly to Amairis, was completley captivated by the spell. His mind slipped off into a blissfull nothingness; the only thing he could think of was his friend. How smart she was, how beautiful she was, how serene she sounded... He would do whatever she asked of him. The first task was easy enough. He opened his eyes.

As soon as he did so, his cloak shattered into a fine blue powder. It rose up around him, and shrouded him in a bluish mist. The mist proceeded to fuse itself onto Dream, giving him a sort of crystilline, armor-like shell. It soon vanished right into his skin, giving him the physical strength and defense which he lacked. He smiled a loving smile at Amairis, and instantly proceeded to jump up, pulling her up at the same time, and hug-tackle her, which would most likely (though unintentionally) knock her right off her feet again and onto the ground.

Amairis squeaked with surprise as she was carried into the air and then enthusiastically knocked backwards. She quickly snapped the strap on her guitar and tosses it to the side so it wouldn't be crushed with her landing.
Unfortunately, this meant that there was nothing to break her fall. She bit back a cry and forced the pain from her face when she landed, so by the time Dream looked at her again, she was laughing and smiling prettily. She returned the hug, and then pulled back from him.
"You're so much fun Dream! Perhaps..." she lowered her voice and leaned in closer as she continued, as though the words were especially meant for his ears, and his ears alone. "...Perhaps you would like to play a game with me?" she whispered, smiling coyly and looking up at him with pleading eyes.

Dream stood up, and nodded vigorously. A game. He loved games. Especially those that involved Amairis. Of course, he would have to let her win. He would not allow himself to beat her at anything. She deserved to win. He placed his necklace back around his neck so it wouldn't fall off. Little did he know that it was the only thing that could save him at this point.

Somewhere in the back of his mind, his sensible self struggled to break free. The necklace's magic enabled it to slowly become stronger, and fight the effects of the infatuation... but it was nowhere near strong enough to resist Amairis's love charm. Perhaps in a bit more time...

At the moment, he could not feel any change. He bowed slightly to her, completely captivated by magical love. "I will do anything you want, Amairis. What are we going to play?"

Drat it all! she thought as the blow knocked her off balance. This just isn't my day!
Kallisto ran at him again, (she wasn't going to be deterred so easily!) but this time she had a plan. She feinted left then right, dodging whatever blows he aimed at her. She leaped at him claws outstretched ready to rake wahtever she hit, but at the last moment she thrust at him with her blade.
He may be a skilled opponent but I have the upper hand. Yet I can't underestimate him! How many times have I made that mistake?
Yet as the blade sliced towards him she couldn't help but grin, either way something was going to draw blood. But wait! She had left her side exposed! At the last moment she realized her mistake, but it was too late to change course.
Curses! Why couldn't she plan better?!

The stage is set.
DG, thinking as fast as he could, used his quiver to stop her dagger by making the quiver the victim of her weapon. The dagger was in there well, he turned the quiver quickly to force her to let go of it and lost his grip at the top and he didn't have a good grip, except to keep the quiver from going towards himself, so it was thrown to the side on accident. Most likely his most fatal mistake. Before anything else, he flew a kick right at her open side to throw her back off balance so he could get to his quiver and take her dagger with it. The wound in his heel was still hindering him, so just in case, he got his bow ready to swing at her if she was too fast for him to get his quiver.
Let the battle begin!

Gale was bewildered with Notsu's grand entrance. His visor flickered to life automatically as soon as the other person was in clear range of his view. The visor started to target different parts of Notsu's body and form, attempting to analyze every aspect of his opponent, and every equipment on his body, even before the battle began.

"No wings, eh?", called out Gale, as he pointed to the large flame wings emanating from behind his opponent, "then what do you call those behind you? Accessories? Or, are they just for show?"

Gale took his Plasma Sword, and held it with both his hands in a samurai fashion. His visors were still analyzing his opponent, they were particularly targeting at his opponent's own Plasma Sword and his stance. Eyes moving in rapid bursts along with data being shown on the visor, Gale tried to calculate his first move.

A targeting cross hair aimed directly for his opponent's sword and Gale knew what he would do first. Tapping the ball of his right foot three times on the ground slowly, he pushed off the ground without prior warning right after the third tap landed. These winged boots were made for speed, and so he was about to use them for 'speed' unheard of.

He held his sword with two hands, raised along his right side, and a small blast of air kicked up along his wake. Along the way his visors continued to calculate every single possible attack, counter attack, block, parry, guard or move that his opponent might make.

More or less, he knew what his opponent was about to do. All he had to do left was figure out how predictable Notsu could be . . .

"Oh no, these have a purpose. They're just not meant for flying." Notsu remarked as he waited for Gale's move. What Notsu hadn't anticipated was, strangely enough, Gale's move. " Come on, Come on, Come o -- OH SH-" As fast as he could, Notsu ducked out of the way of Gale's strike and "tuck-and-rolled". When this maneuver came to Notsu's back, the impact cause his wings to flare, sending him a few feet into the air. He quickly got his bearings straight and almost landed on his feet, ending up in a crouched position. " Heh, a purpose. Now, my move..."

He darted towards Gale, Sword in hand, and when he was within range, rolled on the ground. Once again, the wings flared up. With this air distance, Notsu attempted to, instead of slash Gale, kick him in the head.

Amairis smirked. Anything she wanted...she doubted he understood the dangerous implications of that promise.
"Alright!" she said cheerily and pranced off towards a cluster of tall rocks. She pulled out her paintbrush once she reached the tallest rock's base, and began to draw on the ground. It was a few moments before she stepped back to reveal her work--- a big, red and white ringed target. She flounced merrily back to Dream, and then proceeded to drag him by the hand up to the cluster of stones. Now that they were closer, one could see that a series of smaller rocks built up in a sort of natural staircase to the tallest one. She lead him all the way to the top before releasing his hand.
"Okay. What we're going to do is jump off of this rock, and attempt to land in the center circle,” she announced with a grin. “You get bonus points if you pull off a few acrobatic stunts before you land. I’ll go first!”
With that sudden declaration, she leapt off the stone edge. She flipped forward once before falling the whole ten feet and landing precisely in the center of her painted target. She whirled to face him, and bowed with great flourish before prancing off to the edge of the target.
“Now it’s your turn!” she called, and settled back to watch.

Dream applauded her as she landed. She was so graceful, so perfect... He could never beat her, even if he tried.

He strode to the side of the stone edge, and looked down. It wasn't so far, especially considering he had leaped into the canyon in the first place. Smiling, he jumped off the edge in a sort of dive, curling up into a ball and flipping in much the same way she had done. He landed close to, but not quite directly on, the center of the target, in a sort of kneeling position. Looking up, he smiled at Amairis. "It's obvious you were a lot better. I barely did anything, and landed off-target. You did a really nice graceful flip and still managed to land right on the center. It's amazing. You're amazing."

In his mind, the necklace's countering magic was gradually wearing down the effects of the love charm. It wouldn't be long before he regained control of his senses.

Amairis chuckled inwardly at his excessive flattery.
This is fun...perhaps I should brainwash him more often...
Outwardly, she just blushed and thanked him. She cast a glance down at his feet, the look verifying that all of him was in the center circle. Well...it technically wasn't a circle. She'd left each of the circles open by just an inch or so. Now, she flicked her wrist and splattered magical paint on the open segment of the...not-circle. The circle, now completed, flashed violet and abruptly disappeared from beneath Dream's feet--opening into the white abyss.

The dagger was torn from her grasp and she cursed her bad fortune at losing it, but her claws and been true and she scratched DG's arm. Unfortunately for her it wasn't as deep as she had hoped.
She cursed as his kick hit her side. She was going to have a lot of bruises once this was over. Her ear stung like crazy, and as she touched it again she found that the cut had split that part in two. It was nothing big, most cats and dogs had something of the sort, but she liked her blue ears as they were and it was a shame to have that happen.
Kallisto saw DG race for the quiver and she tried to dash for it, in hopes of retriving her dagger, but her side and developed a bruise and it hurt fiercely. It looked like he was going to reach it first.
She didn't quite know how she was going to win with nothing but her claws, but where there's a will there's a way and she started to develop a different plan.
