Tiem, having said that, hopped up from where he sat, twirled once clockwise... then once counterclockwise... and headed for the door.
Only he had to do a full circle around the shop to do so, because he'd forgotten which side the door was in.

"Uhh... sir... I thought you were going to leave?" What on earth was he doing? He was going to leave, only now he was walking around the store again. "The door's over that way..." Alexiel pointed towards the front of the store, one eyebrow still raised, maybe it would freeze and stay that way.

"Sankyuah~!" was the boy's reply as he circled back to the other side of the store and headed towards the door... the right direction this time.
Honestly, it seemed that unless he had a thought in his mind that he could concentrate on, nothing seemed to register with him. He could focus marvelously well on a single task, but as soon as his mind wandered, it was just like: poof, gone.
Just like he was now, it seemed. With one last triumphant sneeze, the door opened, and out walked the perplexing young man.

Sejai moved among the animals easily, she had been living here quite some time now. Ever since Alex had found her. But something made her uneasy, and in return, the animals. The smell of jasmine and poppy still followed her, but with Alex's help, she had been mastering Gaian common slowly.
A trembling hand pushed back the hood that revealed the nap of black curls, cropped close to her head.
"A...alex...?" Hoping her friend was home.

Alexiel looked up from some paperwork as she heard the now familiar voice of Sejai. How long had it been since she had taken the girl in? Either way, it didn't matter, she had gotten used to having her around, to her coming and going. "Sejai. Where have you been off to?" Her tone wasn't admonishing but friendly and bright.

Again, her voice trembled as she looked to her friend, showing emotion for the first time...well ever. There had always been a quietness to her before, but something had shaken her and shaken her badly.

Now Alexiel was just plain worried. The girl seemed to be very upset by the sound of her voice and her manners. The young shopkeeper moved from behind the counter and walked over to her, squatting down so that she was about eye level with the girl. "Sejai, what's wrong? Are you hurt?" If anyone had hurt the girl, there would be hell to pay.

"C...Chaos comes..." She trembled in the woman's arms, curling close, much like an even smaller child would. The scent was even more powerful then usual, but it did not have it's normal drugging affect, it was too tinged with fear, much like a wild animal.

"Chaos? Sejai, sweetie, what's Chaos?" Alexiel wasn't usually the motherly type, but only the most vile of women could supress their maternal instincts. Alex was not one of those women. She held Sejai, stroking the back of the girls head as she crooned soothingly.

The motion did soothe Sejai slowly. Weakly, she motioned to the air around her, showing Alex a jumble of images. Then hundreds of people dying in the most ridiculous of ways that only Alex's imagination could conjure.

Alexiel had to fight hard to supress a shiver at all the images of death. She could see now why the girl was so upset, if Chaos was the cause of such slaughter. Alexiel couldn't just sit back and let this happen. "Sejai... I need you to tell me everything you know... I can't just let so many people die if it can be stopped."

Sejai jerked away from Alexiel, barely containing the deep shudder running through her body, but she said no more but ran out the door instead, fleeing as if her life depended on it.
