Isidora found that no matter how much she glared at Hemi, her just wouldn't go away. And so, rolling her eyes, she clacked her teeth reluctantly at him, then blinked at the floating feather. Well, that was a clue if she ever saw one..didn't anybody know how to hide their trail, anymore? Sheesh. This was almost too easy...
Squeaking delightedly as he was tossed, Yrre relized that he'd zoned out...and laughed. He had been doing that more and more lately "The Yrre is to be being~!" he called with a grin, making himself comfortable on the larger kitsu's back. This would be fun!
(( And Era is still following Isi and Hemi...she just has nothing to say. xD; ))

((Reply for group one only atm.))
"It's Accio I think. And I wouldn't suggest it. Sure we could summon the egg but we don't know where it is or what sort of obstacles might between us and it. I'm not sure exactly how that spell works but if the egg hit something on the way here since we can't see where it's going..." She shrugged and trailed off. She also wasn't sure if the spell had a distance limit, either, and they had no idea where the egg was.
Endless gave her an inquiring eyebrow and she stuck her tongue out at him. "Oh come on, End, you know I can't help poking my nose into magic stuff. I read it in a book in Remus' library. I just didn't read much about it."
Endless snorted and shook his head, giving Cedrella a quick hair-ruffling to indicate a job well done. "Can't really blame you for being curious, I guess."
Soot seemed to have taken it upon Sootself to run around continually and make sure the things that had been secured to the deck stayed there, though Soot did stop to waggle little sooty tails at the finding of the feather before darting off again. Soot took Soot's assignment very seriously.

one Smiling at Davey as the boat shifted course Rune had to blink at what the witch said. "Yes... I do beli-..." Rune started to nod as she realized Atae had it covered, but Cedrella on the other hand was not paying attention. She had -as kits are prone to and being her parents' daughter she was more apt than others perhaps- leapt upon the notion with all four paws. "I know! I know! Mum uses it all the time & it's always in stories Dad tells about their 'before! Acci-..."
"Cedrella no!!" The SeeD exclaimed, furling her wings to fly the distance between them to put one hand on the kits maw, the other upon her willow wand. Rune's soft green eyes were wide. "Yes, Accio is a wonderful spell, but remember how fast the objects called heed the call? We don't want to scramble the egg!" The usually always calm female gave a repulsive shudder. Cedrella too now had her own kit blue eyes wide. What if she had nearly scrambled a future 'cousin'? Not blood cousin, but being the kit of her 'aunt' Miaka... cousin enough for her. Overwhelmed and terrified at the notion now the kit burst into tears. Rune comforted her gently, then turned now calm eyes upon Valis. "It was a good idea... but Atae's right: we simply can't chance it. If I may ask, why has it been a long time since using your magic? One's skills should be kept sharp, for any emergency."
two The scarfed male quirked his head at Isidora and smiled. She was always playing like she did not want him around. So cute! His baby blue eyes twinkled as he bopped her nose with his, a fold of skin pushing towards his eye where it was pushed by his Shoom-hat. Not that it seemed to phase Hemi in the slightest.
Zell grinned widely. "Yo Yrre! Good holding on! Nearly forgot you were up there!" In fact he had forgotten. heh. The bobtail must have been gripping to his uniform when the SeeD made the playful flip earlier. Easy enough to do. Why, Cedrella asked for such games all the time. Liked the excitement of it mixed with the security that Zell would never hurt her. Tilting his head and winking at Squall the SeeD started to pad his way upstream beside the river. "Ya gonna stay in the water, Sushi?" Blue eyes twinkled merrily. "Who knows, she might be down there. 'course she has to breathe, ya know. We'd see bubbles or something. 'less the girls had their Blitzball breathers in." Zell laughed, Hemi joining in. "Wouldn't be the first time one of us'd done that. Those things are more comfortable than I'd've thought."

Sushi dog paddled slowly in the water, bobbing his head in response to Zell's question. He was faster in the water, and maybe he could find more clues that were floating around.
" I like the water. I'm more useful. OH! I could ask any fishy friend I run into if they have seen anyone if you'd like." He grinned widely, swimming in a small circle, resisting the urge to dive under and start his search on his own.

((I love soot xd he's awesome heart ))
Valis started to nod her head to say she understood but quickly stopped as she realized it made her feel worse, this was certainly unpleasent, she lay there holding her head hoping the spinning would stop "I like doing things by hand better... more satisfying"
"Thar be a good lad! Look at that boy work diligently!" Davey knew that the kit didn't need to continuously check everything if it was all secure already but he figured if the kit was enjoying his work so much he would make a good ship hand someday and could use this time to get associated with the ship "Rune, when ye get done with these landlubbers see if yeh can't find something for the boy to do, I want him to get to know this ship inside and out, we can use a good n eager ship hand like him!" He then turned to address Valis "Ye there! While ye be down there ye best be swabin the deck! eh wont be havin a slacker on meh ship, an NO magic! I won't be havin yeh slip up and make a hole!"
Valis dragged herself up with a groan, well this sucks she went off in search of mopping supplies, she had at least watched enough pirate movies curtesy of her owner to know what swabbing the decks ment

one "Aye aye, Captain." The usually straight femme said with a smile. Leaving Cedrella to pout and mutter about the 'no magic' stipulation (oh yeah.. like that was going to be followed- Rune padded over to Soot giving him directions for what other things he could do to help out aboard the ship.
Two ship lengths further they would begin to see it, be able to begin to see it. A fleck of movement across the sky. Faint at first, then growing. Perhaps disregarded as a bird due to the large dark colored wings which would stand out the most in the soft colors of the sky. Still far out, but wavering. Fading. The flight becoming erratic.
two The fistfighter laughed warmly. "That's cool, dude! Why don't you do that? maybe one knows something." Fish? Knowing anything? Zell shrugged. Whatever. if the kits could talk to fish and they knew something, booya! If not... well they weren't out anything, were they?
Far, far upstream there was something white making the ripples of the water irregular. Half on a log, half in the water, wedged by the shoulders in the crook branch of a fallen timber, so snowy and white a to be almost crystal.
three The 'trail' could almost be followed from the lost feather with the high branches of the tree. It was erratic though. In truth it did not look much like a path or pattern at all. A branch crushed here, leaves fallen there. Brown feathers with white spots fluttered to ground, some more visible than others. And further, deep in the dark of the forest, a form, passed out and weary.

Davey mused himself watching the crew and the sea, he nearly forgot what they were looking for, before he or anyone else forgets he figures he should remind them "Don't yeh be forgettin ta look for more o them thar feathers an where thar source may be! Yeh best learn tah multitask if yeh want ta be a sailor!"
Valis muttered to herself, the ship was clean why did she have to clean it? It wasn't her fault she was sick and this wasn't going to make her any better of a sailor, she pouted

one The SeeD nodded, glancing across the horizon in between going from one of their 'crew' to another, doublechecking that they were set as well as could be expected for 'landlubbers' in the duties needed for the ship. Still pouting, Cedrella made a 'I'm not going to listen to you' face to the back of DaveyJones and apparated into the Crow's Nest. She squinted her eyes Hey.... that bird's flying funny... The kit glanced down at the others. To tell or not to tell... if it was important it would be soooo awesome! But if it wasn't she would be told she was foolish, probably for being a kit too. Cedrella pouted. In the end the chance that it might be important to save her 'cousin' won out. Huffing again against the 'no magic' call she insubordinately tapped the end of her wand to her throat. Awesome loudspeaking spell. ^_^ "Hey!!! That big green bird's flying funny!!!"
Wait... Big, green, wings???? "Jessica!!! It might be Jessica!!!" Squinting, Cedrella tried to see if she could spot the santa kit's creamy body beneath the beating and failing wings.

Team three Cloud followed the group. He noticed they were finding more white patches of fur as they got deeper in the forest. Thought from the looks of it. there were feathers above in branches. He wonder if the young perma kitsu had lost controll over carrying the egg or not. "Do the perma kits ever fight with one another?" asked Cloud with his head tilted.
Team Two
Squall watched as the fistfighter Zeill got excited about explaining things. He was know-it-all Zell after all and he hand to know everything. "Zell how about we check that timber over there. There might be some clue about the egg. From the looks of it that branch was broken by someone falling out of the air."

( hate when i have a response all typed up and accidently close the tab its in 8D *headdesk* )
Sushi beamed at Zell as he got permission to search in the river. A deep intake of breath and then he dove under. Slicing through the water like it was nothing, he began to search the riverbed for clues aswell as for any fishy friends who may be hiding out on the murky bottom.
A few good circles and he surfaced again, frowning to himself as he shook his head clear of loose water. Nothing out of the ordinary to be a clue, and the fish he did see, swam away from him so fast he could hardly get a word in.
He dog paddled upstream, putting a bit more effort into it compared to his leasurly stroke so that he actually made some progress, still searching for clues. The fish had been very frightened of him, and that was very unusual, even in a new river.
He glanced back toward the others and noticed that he had swam a bit farther up stream than he had meant to, but as he looked forward again before turning around, he caught sight of the snowy object that was dancing on the surface of the river.
" A clue!"

"Oh, I see!" Tuuli exclaimed, in what was a very belated reply, "Yeah, wizards are portrayed as being helpful and stuff, but witches aren't, usually," she said, nodding, "But I can tell you're a good witch!"
Or, uh, at least that was her assumption; Ginny wasn't harming the flowers, after all, or turning her into a frog or something.
Heading after Shreya and Yun, the perma-kit, hurried to keep up, not wanting to be left out of this grand adventure that was in the process of happening, "Hey, wait up for me!" she called after the older Luck, "We're supposed to stick together!"
The afformentioned Luck, whom was doing her best to try ignoring Tuuli, glanced about, taking in her surroundings as usual. Shreya was the observational type as always, and the female was in her forte, in a way.
"It would seem like the flight became interrupted in this area," she remarked, though said nothing more as Cloud spoke up.

one Whether it was simply a big green bird or actually the permatkit Jessica, the wings of the creature in their path were certainly flagging, the flight becoming erratic as the flyer tired.
two The fistfighter blinked. "Huh?" He asked, looking over. But it was Hemi who reached it first, furling his wings and gliding to hover over the 'clue' as Sushi had called it, sniffing even as he gave off a soft glow from his body. "It's part of one of Crystal's tails!" The young wizard exclaimed with a soft whine. "It's been yanked it off!" "Aw, man!"
He did not say what could be discerned from that: the kit could be trapped upriver somewhere. And with her... possibly the egg.
But wait.... Sushi's voice had come from further upstream than this "clue" of tail. Zell & Hemi rushed the others towards what the fishy-kit had found, Hemi gliding over the river itself where he had room to spread his wings. Another whimper escaped him at the sight. "Crystal!" He put his paws to the perma kit's unconscious form. "She's stuck!" Baby blue eyes turned to the others in a soft plea. He seemed to have forgotten for the moment he might be able to use magic to free her as he begged for help to free the snowman-permakit from the large branch she found herself caught in.
three Ginny grinned at being called a good witch. Oh, she was... it was simply humorous when compiled with typical muggle viewpoints. In her homes the wizarding version of being a witch was usually looked at as the typical, not the other. Yun yipped back at Tuuli with a grin. "Hurry up then, Flower Princess!" The Luck kit called back with more playful cheerfulnes than anything. She was excited that they seemed to be on the right track and had not interpreted the implications of so much feathers and fur being loose. Ginny's head tilted at the Soldier's question, a look of perplexion upon her freckled face. "What? Fight? Only as much as siblings usually fight. Tussles normally really. Never anything to harm."
The young mother became worried, hoping that Shreya was correct and it was only a flight that became interrupted, not a fight as Cloud implied. Adumialmîr speaking broke her thoughts. "Only the brown fur and feathers... if they were fighting here, we'd see traces of the others as well." Magenta eyes glanced around. She could not see much around the far larger adult normals and especially the larger Lucks. She sighed, knowing that Yun being already nearly larger than her still had a ways to grow. But that was a bobtail's fate, forever being sized between a normal kit and teen. "They must have separated before Clarice came here. The question is: which has the egg? And... if her flight has been interrupted like this, is Clarice herself well?"
Wide eyed she glanced at Ginny and both broke into a run. Yun, surprised to see her foster mother running blinked and momentarily forgetting how she wanted to play with the blue permakit rolled her ball to hurry after them. For if Clarice had the egg and was flying into trees, what then of the egg?
Only far now down the 'trail' of fur and feathers, the brown kit shifted, wimpering in pain.

His eyes searched for the source of the young witch's calls. When he focused enough, he could make out a faint big green bird. If the young witch said it was this "Jessica", then it must be so. He didn't know what the group looked like after all. It was best just to believe in her.
As they approached, he could see that the big green bird seemed to be struggling with flight. It was either an injury or lack of stamina. He shouted for once in his life, just loud enough for everyone to hear, "Something is amiss over there, it seems. That big green bird seems rather...weird. Does anyone have a telescope? Perhaps we can see with its aid from this far."

Davey looked to see if there was a telescope near by, he didn't usually carry on with him... barnicles tended to grow on the glass and make it useless, there wasn't one here, he didnt figure it would be, most likely it was in a draw of the desk in the captains quarters and he couldn't go down there and get it leaving the steering of the ship to ones so inexperianced "Nay lad, we best just get closer for a better look, if ye think it be the girl it be best to save it on the off chance it is rather than spendin time lookin at er"
Valis looked up to try and spot the unidentified flying object ... does that mean a kit is a u.f.o? Clearly she was feeling a bit better now once they were in a good range they could do a leviosa spell to safely float the object down to them, she stopped cleaning and kept her eyes on the object once the range is close enough she told herself

one The witch kit whimpered with worry from the Crow's Nest, the sound carrying softly to the others because she had forgotten to turn off the magaphone spell on herself.
Rune squinted into the sky, sighing as she silently agreed with the captain and feeling foolish herself that she had stopped carrying a spyglass in the pockets of her SeeD uniform since arriving here. Just because she had little need was no excuse not to be prepared. Well, no use dwelling on it. "The color is right for Jessica's wings. I can't see yet if they bear a kit's body, but if everyone could keep an eye out when they have a chance to see if there is cream colored kit beneath those wings as we near." The White SeeD sighed heavily, going about further ship duties as she spoke. "Whether it is Jessica or not we should help. Flying like that... whoever it is will not be airborne for long."
Indeed not, for even as Rune spoke the flyer made a quick drop and only barely caught a new wind to save being dropped into the ocean.
