Ryo thought about this, but could not see how it was possible. he was to young to understand how creatures of evil could ever be considered good. "i am sorry, yoma. you seem like a nice person but i can not work with her." Ryo gave one more glance to the women on the ground and walked towards the mountains along the pass alone. a voice in the back of his mind told him he was making a bad choice, but like most kids his age, he ignored his concience and went blindly towards the horde of vampires.

Shadow coughed up more blood and forced himself to stand up, just to buckle under his weight. He tried again only to have the same thing happen. "I must stand up." He thought as he pulled out his katana and pushed himself up with it.

"I'm not feeling good about letting him leave us", Yoma said to Shadow, looking at Ryu who was about to go away. "But... I tried to hold him here, and I can't do more, can I?", Yoma asked. He sighed and then looked very serious at Shadow. "What exactly are you doing? It was hard enough to bring you into these shadows there, why do you want to stand up and ran away?" Yoma shaked his head. "Let me help you. You should not stand up alone... I mean, you shouldn't stand up, no matter, if you have help or not, but I know that it's useless to discuss with you..." Shadow was strong, but he had been hurt by a really scary dragon and not even he could ignore that.

"I can't be weak." Shadow said as he stared at the name on his katana. "I must be strong for her and the children." He took a step forward and fell back to the ground. He tried to move his arms but found that he couldn't. "I can't move."

"Ok, do you trust me now? It was obvious that you shouldn't try to stand up." Yoma shaked his head a second time. That demon was so strong... Even if he was nearly dead, he could fight against his enemies - and against his own body. But the problem was, that he seemed to be nearly dead... "I think we should search some safe place where we can rest and where you and Lilly can heal your wounds. But before we can leave that place here, you have to regenerate a bit. Because Lilly seems to be hurt much more - and I think that if we want to leave, we have to carry her together."
[OT]: Lilliana_Ki has changed her home and now she has no PC. That's why I think Yoma and Shadow should rest a bit and then carry Lillys body at a really safe place, a magical cave or something like that. When she will get access to a computer, she can let Lilly just come out of that place and implement it in the story by saying, that she slept and regenerated for a very long time... She is still in contact with me and gave me three posts I have to post in the name of the NPC Marlene during one or two weeks. In the far future, Shadow, Yoma and Marlene perhaps will meet - and perhaps someone wants to take the role of Marlene, but before I have to post at least these three posts here. ^^[/OT]

Marlene [NPC]: Marlene began to cry. Her head and eyes hurt. She couldn't sleep for several nights and at daylight she always felt so tired that she could hardly eat something or do anything beneath lying in bed. What happened to her? There were only a few days passed after this attack in the forest. In her mind there was a terrible idea hidden, but she didn't want to believe it. This couldn't be true. Her family had hunted vampires for so long, how could this been happening to her? There once had been a mad man in her family. Grand grandfather Allan McAllister thought he had been in love with an immortal creature. But she had a clear mind and this couldn't really happen to her. She opened her eyes again and tried to stand up. Everything circeled around her. She couldn't see clear for a minute or so. Then she went weakly to the curtains and opened them to look out of the window. Outside was a nice and sunny day, but she didn't want to go outside for a walk. In fact she had to close the curtains again, because her eyes began to hurt terribly. Oh no, this couldn't really happen to her...

Shadow crawled to the closest tree and leaned against it. "Yoma I can't regenerate, I don't have that kind of power." He said as he looked around at his surroundings. "I have to heal at the bodie's natural speed."

Yoma stared at Shadow. After a few seconds, Yoma began to realize how bad their situation was. "So... what... what can we do?", he said, trying not to panic. "I mean, we can't wait that long, can we? We need fresh water and something to eat, a save place for the nights and some medicine... All that's not here. Perhaps I can find something to eat here, but I think that most of the animals flew as we fought against the dragon. And that place seems not to contain lots of fruits. Maybe I'll find a river or something like that for the water, and if we're really lucky I can manage to catch some fish, but even if I could find enough water and food, we could be attacked here..." Yoma was no optimist and he knew, how hard the future would be for the three...

"Yoma shut up." Shadow ordered. "Apparently I failed and didn't stop the dragon from hurting her did I?" He asked as a tear fell down his face as he remmebered how he had failed his own family.

"No, no you didn't fail!", Yoma answered strictly. "You did not fail... But the magician had spoken a spell that made her losing nearly all her blood. And a vampire without blood... that's all but a strength one. So you didn't fail. If the dragon would have reached her instead of reaching you, she would have been dead now. And she isn't dead... Ok... you is not awake, but I am sure, she will survive. Or... I hope it." Yoma looked sad at Shadow. "And I'm also sure, you will survive too. You have to. Remember your family... You said you must have revenge." Yoma did not like the concept of revenge, because it wasn't good for anyone, but he supported the idea of preventing other innocent people from being murdered by the enemys of Shadow. And he would have said all to increase Shadow's moral...

Another tear fell from his cheek as Yoma spoke of his family. "Do not talk about them right now." He stood up and forced himself not to cough as he took two steps forward, though it hurt horribly to move. "We will have to move her soon."

"No!", Yoma was upset about that demon trying to move ignoring his hurting body. "No, just... just wait a bit. We do not know where to carry her, do we? So... you should wait here and... and protect her, if someone attacks you both. Ok? Is that a good quest for a hero like you?" Yoma smiled. "And I, I will search a safe place for the three of us. And when I come back, you can help me carry her... ok? But until I'm back... lay down and sleep a bit. Please." Yoma stood up and went to Shadow. "Is that solution accepted?"

"It's fine." He said as he laid down and took Yoma's advice and fell asleep, only enough so that he could rest and still sense his surroundings.

Yoma waited an hour and then left his friends. He went slowly because he didn't want to be back that fast. Shadow needed a lot of time to get enough of his strength back... Otherwise Yoma also didn't want to leave them for to long. He had to be there for his friends... He shouldn't leave them alone... But what about Shadow's wounds? He needed more time... While walking, Yoma let his thoughts fly through his mind.

Marlene [NPC]: She knew she was mad. Now she wasn't able to stay awake at daylight anymore. Only at night she could do her daily work. Her servants were very worried but she tried to explain that she was ill and got headaches from the sun. In fact this was true, but there was more. Once she went into the kitchen to Henry the cook. He was preparing some meat for the dog with a sharp knife. Marlene watched him working and then asked him to fetch her a bottle of wine from the cellar. She was thirsty, but it was not the wine she deserved for. When he was gone she hurried to the table and bit into the bloody meat. After this unexpected meal she felt much better, but she also was worried. It wasn't normal for her to eat meat, especially no bloody meat. In fact, she was a strict vegetarian. She looked at her spoiled hans with horror. What was happing to her?
