He didn't get how that worked still so he decided to just sit there and huff while Safi laughed himself out. He could get an explanation once the other had laughed himself out and could talk some sense.
At least if it had any sense. It could be one of those things that he'd never understand and he'd just have to deal with that.

It seemed like a long time before Safi was through laughing, though in reality it was only a few minutes. But once his sides had stopped heaving and he felt as though he could acheive what passed for intelligent speech, he pulled himself back up, looking over at Wadi with both apology and amusement.
"I'm sorry, Wadi, I didn't mean to take off like that. But I just couldn't stop laughing!" Even thinking of it made the laughter start to bubble up, so he quickly tamped down on it by trying to change the subject, at least for a moment. "How are your shoulders?"

Once Safi had stopped laughing he looked at the other stallion. "They're fine." He was still a little put off that the other had laughed so hard and he didn't know what was so funny.
"I still don't get it though. I mean .... i .... it wasn't funny." He was pouting slightly as he spoke. He didn't like being left out of a joke.

Shaking his head at Wadi, Safi gave a slight chuckle. Stubborn fellow, this one...
"You and me both, Wadi. Haven't you ever had it happen where something is a little bit funny and you laugh, only to find that you can't stop? It's like rolling along the ground and discovering that you rolled onto a hill and can't stop until you hit the bottom."
Not the best analogy, maybe, but the best he could think of. "And the fact that it WASN'T that funny is what makes the whole thing ridiculous." If THAT made any sense. "I swear, it doesn't make that much more sense to me than it did to you."

"I .. don't think i've ever laughed like that." Usually he didn't find things all that funny. Generally because what everyone else laughed at had startled him in the beginning and he couldn't bring himself to laugh later.
He did understand the hill thing though slightly. He'd tumbled down one as a foal and it had been impossible to stop until he'd hit the bottom. His sister though it was funny when it happened to her. He'd just though it hurt.

"Be happy, then. It actually hurts to laugh that much, so I don't recommend it." Right now, he felt like his sides were about to split; had he continued laughing, he didn't doubt that they would have. Or at least they would have felt like it...
"Anyway, now that I'm done being ridiculous, would you like another apple?" There were still some about, after all, and they looked quite tasty. To emphasize that fact, he bite into another one himself. "Shtill good."

He took a moment to ponder that. If laughing like that did infact hurt then he'd just never do it. Huffing slightly he nipped Safi's shoulder lightly. "No more laughing like that when i don't get it anyway."
Leaning down he took a bite of an apple. They were almost still sour so they had to be really fresh. Once he'd finished eating the half of the fruit he looked back at Safi. "You're not really hurt from laughing are you?"

"Deal. And watch the teeth." Chuckling, Safi swatted once again at Wadi's nose, more than willing to pass on the pain of extended laughter, especially so soon after experiencing it once.
Rolling another apple around on the ground before him, he watched it for a moment before looking over at Wadi again, watching surrepitously as Wadi munched on the apple, then grinning at the question in a sheepish fashion. "Honestly? Yes. Right around the rib-lung area." Patting the area in question he shrugged helplessly. "A casualty of my own humor."

He munched down the other half of his apple and frowned slightly. "You shouldn't do that if you're going to hurt from it later." That should be a good deterrent but it sounded like Safi had done it before.
Leaning over once he'd finished the apple he rubbed at his friends side with his nose. "It doesn't hurt too bad does it?" He'd feel horrible if Safi was going to hurt for a long time. It would be his fault and he didn't want that to happen.

"You say it like I actually try to do this." Safi couldn't help but pout a bit at theat comment; laughter COULD hurt, after all, and it did. Though Wadi's nose at the spot did feel nice, in a different sort of way. He managed to sound petulant at the question, though. "Bad enough. See, this is why you need to control your laughter; a few seconds of fun and then you're regretting it for a while."
Rather like sex, actually, only in laughter's favor the results weren't permanent. But why was he thinking about weird analogies like that anyway??? "I'll be fine, I've managed before." He was tough. Very tough. Though not so tough that he didn't like being nuzzled

He continued to nuzzle the other for a moment before he let his head rest against Safi's ribs. The day had been tiring on him and he just wanted to rest for a moment. It was nice like this. It reminded him of back home and being safe.
"You could try. Rogue says there's some who hurt themselves on purpose."

Closing his eyes, Safi allowed himself to enjoy the feeling of Wadi's gentle breath on his side, then shifted slightly to allow Wadi a more comfortable angle to lean at. Though he himself was rather at peace with the whole thing as well, both the mental and physical. Resting his own head against the tree trunk, he gently draped a wing over Wadi, the gesture feeling perfectly natural.
"Yes, but those masochists do it for the perverse pleasure they get from the pain; I'm a total wuss and hate pain, therefore I can promise you that if I could stop, I would." This was said with an air of total resignation, but it was cheerful resignation. He was good with that.

He nodded and mumbled something sleepily as an answer. "Can .... can i take a nap?" He was tired but he didn't want to fall asleep on the other stallion if Safi didn't want him to. He wouldn't want to impose. He didn't think he could move even if his friend wanted him to.
He was far too comfortable to even think of truly moving. Maybe he'd just have to impose anyway.

"Hrm?" Safi wasn't exactly sure that he'd heard Wadi right, not until he glanced over and saw Wadi's relatively advanced state of relaxation. That realization made him chuckle; he'd never have pegged himself as being particularly comfortable.
"Sure, Wadi; go ahead and sleep. After lunch is a great time of day to sleep, after all...rest up." Patting Wadi on the cheek, Safi moved his wing so that it was more of a blanket. "Sleep well..."
