As Gin released Abigail, she wiggled off the ropes and took his hand to stand. " Oh don't worry in the least." Somethng doesn't feel quite right. There nice and all that but this was to easy. Oh just go with it. They're Ravenclaw's not Slytherin's they can be trusted. This mental battle went on for a moment then Gin said something very interesting.
" Can you just not tell anybody about this Abigail, it'd be a hassle if the whole school found out that one of the top classmen has a girlfriend."
"No problem at all. The relationship between the two of you will be just that, mums the word. And don't worry Talia I don't even completly trust my house mates. Never can tell with them. No known mind charms of any kind though. But really you can trust me." She felt as if she was laying it on thick but really she was only trying to insure that she didn't have to go through memory modification this early in life. Plus who new how good these two were at it. They could remove things that she didn't want to lose, like the few things she did know about her parents. 'Forgetting' that would be worse than facing Voldemort one on one without a wand.
So the three headed to the door. Gin seemed to fiddle for a moment before opening it. I guess he needed to see that it was clear? Now I'll just slip away from them before they change their minds. Straight for the dungeons and into my dorm to sleep. This is the last time I ever fallow someone to ....... somewhere I'm not sure of. So Abigail began to walk down the corridor she had recently just vacated.

Before she could slip away, Gin turned to Abigail and said, slytherin... huh? Lucky how that works out. he made a slight frown and and turned back towards Talia, knowing full well that she would inflict some sort of punishment for what he said.

Talia managed to keep acting through the whole situation, but Gin was going to get it when she got the chance.
"She's going to find out soon enough, anyway, I'm good at memory modification, the muggles where I live are more observant than others, and for years my parents have had a ministry license to modify the memories of those muggles who figured us out, it was so the ministry didn't have to send obliviators to that village once a month." she whispered once Abigail was well out of earshot.
"Our problem was our customers had less tact than we did, and were so obvious something had to be done. But the license included me when I turned seventeen, and my parents made me practice all summer, and I passed the tests required to allow me to do minor modifications, like that would have been." she had been keeping an eye out for others, but they saw no one.
Suddenly she heard a clock, "Oh no, curfew." she whispered, and started to run towards the common room.
She reached the Eagle and waited for the question: "What get's wet while it dries?"
"A Towel." she replied
She didn't bother to check if Gin was behind her, she just didn't want to get caught.
She walked quickly into the common room, then noticed Anne sitting in a chair.
How was she going to explain this.
"Hey Anne." she said, "Guess I'm not the only girl still up."

Draco Malfoy strolled as he always did, with complete and unalterable confidence. He did not hesitate to push a muggle of filthy mudblood out of his way. He briskly walked through to Platform 9 3/4 and made his way around tot he Prefects car. He did not bother to wait for goodbyes from his parents or to attempt to meet up with 'friends', he would soon be joined by enough people without asking for them to do so.

Gin entered the common room with Talia and payed no notice to Anne. Sorry I had to do that Talia, it seemed the easier way out. he knew that if he stayed she'd get angry with him so he made a half wave goodbye and went up to the boys dorm for the night.

Hearing the clock, Abigail took her out as both Ravenclaw's seemed more worried about not getting caught out of bed late. Once she was two floors below them she slinked along the corridor until she came to the main floor of the castle and entered her beloved dungeons. As she walked toward the common room her boots hilling the stone floor was the only thing to be heard. Luck that I got out of that. I think I'll stay clear of those two for a time being, just to be safe. Abigail yawned just as she had arived at the entrence to the common room. " Basilisk". Home sweet home. Now for some sleep. As she entered the oval room, the damp air was a comfort. The fire created some warmth but only if you happend to be near it. As she looked around there were only a few older years up still. But Abigail wasn't going to be one of them, as she headed to her nice cosy bed awaiting her.

"My method would have been easier," was all she said before Gin left.
she sat down opposite Anne and smiled, "Life is getting too complicated." she said leaning back in her chair.
She still had her hand on her wand, which was now in her pocket.
"You're probably wondering what Gin and I were doing, and I'm not sure how to put it, I don't know who would overhear, actually, I know a place, I used it for revision last year. Come on, and if we get caught, I'll say I have a headache and you'll be taking me to the hospital wing." Talia knew one of Anne's parents had been a Death Eater, but she also knew Anne hated that part of her heritage, plus the room of requirement was enroute to the hospital wing. She grabbed Anne's hand and pulled her to the entrance of the common room.

Anne had dozed off on her couch, and was awaken by Talia's voice talking to her. Opening her eyes widely, she struggled to regain full awareness. It was hard; she had the tendency to be quite sloppy when woken up.
It was in that weird sate of half-conscience that she watched Talia and Gin's short conversation, and Talia sitting in front of her. The next thing she knew, she was being pulled out of her doziness ((does this word even exist?oh well, you get the meaning...)) by an eager hand. She was already out of the common room when she finally got a grip on herself.
Studying the look on Talia's face, it wasn't hard to decide to play along. Asking any questions could give out their position, and Anne somehow felt this was gonna be worth it. Even if sneaking out after curfew was a pretty dumb thing to do, and she had no idea of where she was going. She knew about DA...but had never had any idea of where they met.
So, she just strode along the other girl, giving her arm out to her to add to the headache alibi, while passing deserted corridor after deserted corridor.

Even though it looked like Anne was leading, Talia was really chosing the route.
They got to the corridor without any problems, she guessed the teachers were patroling lower down the school.
She paced three times, with the thought, "A place to chat, with the corridor viewer and food."
The door appeared and she pulled Anne inside.
"Ok, just to get one thing straight, I heard what you spoke to Gin about at dinner, only just but I was talking to him about the same thing. I'm not in the DA, you should know me well enough to know I rarely take sides, but recent events," she paused,
"They say You-Know-Who is back, and some even say he's in charge now. That's why I want to fight now, my family almost failed the family tree testing, then they found an old link to a major family and the thing previous generations did of disowning any family who married muggles. I got lucky, but I know others weren't, all this magic is might is wrong, just wrong." she paused again,
"Look, I don't know all the members of the DA, and some of the ones I know about don't know me well, so I dunno what's gonna happen when, if, Gin talks to them. But there is one thing I know, even if I don't get in, I'm gonna find a way to help them."
"I'm guessing you want to join the DA, and I know . . . I know you're not your father, and I'm fairly sure the members of the DA understand that."
Talia felt odd, she'd not felt able to rant like this when Gin was in the room, yes she'd let her feelings be known, but now she felt a lot lighter again. Maybe it was because Anne was a girl.

Abigail was unable to sleep. Her mind wouldn't shut down and let her just yet. So she got out of bed and headed to the common room set with one of her many books. When she got there it seemed to be empty but Abigail new better, there was always someone in the shadows. Most of the time it was her hiding there.

Anne listened to Talia's speech. When the girl had finished, she remained silent for a second, gathering her thoughts and deciding what to say.
"Well, first of all, thank you for believing me. It's quite hard to be frowned upon because of a man I never even met.
About the DA...I understand you, in the fith year it was all very confusing, it was hard to know what was really true. But now, with Dumbledore gone, and the Carrows here...I'm not sure if you're aware that they are Death Eaters. So now I don't think we're up for detention anymore. We're in real peril. The war has started, and we're right in the middle of it."
She sat down and looked away, trying to find the right words.
"We need to join. All of the four houses. We need to get ourselves together and to support each other. the DA is as good of a start as anything could be, I think. So yes, I'm joining, or at least trying to. But if they don't accept me, that's not going to stop me. I have a few things I meant to do this year, and some of them the DA won't like, but it doesn't matter. In war everything goes...and we can't afford to loose this one."
She stared at Talia with an half-smile. "I'm not sure I'm making much sense..."

"I didn't think I made sense then," she said sitting down and grabbing one of the sandwiches that had come with the room.
"The probelm with the DA is that people know about them, and while it's impossible to prove who is in the DA without using versitierum and tricks like that." she paused,
"We actually have a use for the DA, it's fairly easy to explain too.
Ok, this is what the people who are pro-deatheater think about me:
I keep myself to myself, geek, avoids fights and arguements at all costs, so I know not to mess with them and don't.
What they'll probably say about you: father, former deatheater, so you know what happens to those who cross us, but your father is dead and is living with mother, who isn't a deatheater. Whilst not likely to be an ally due to mother's influence, also not stupid enough to get in their way, plus due to father, people like the DA are less likely to trust or like her, again no threat."
She paused, "I'm the kind of person, who if you don't know me, you think I'm just trying to get by within the rules, regardless of the rules, and most of the time I do. But in doing that I find people don't take any notice of me, so I overhear all kinds of things, before it was - who's going out with who, now I suspect it'll be far more relevant things to the current climate. You've got a different background, but it has the same use, we make the perfect observers."

Gin didn't go to bed when he went up to his dorms, for he had much bigger plans that the night couldn't stop. He went to the window and made a quiet whistle and a scruffy, tawny owl flew down from the roof. good boy Tanhauser. he petted the owl's back and brought it inside. Now listen up, remember that place where you delivered my first letter to? I want you to take this there but, without being noticed. It's encrypted in a code that is doubtful that anyone will crack so you should be safe if you're intercepted. he tied the note to the owl's leg and let it free into the night sky. Stop one... he walked to the window and looked outside. Full moon tonight...I wonder how well those monsters are fairing. he gave a smirk as he looked to where the dementors supposedly were in the castle grounds. well, i wonder how i'm going to make it if those things are in the way. he absent mindedly took out a chocolate frog and bit off it's head.

"Yes, you are right...We are seen as neutral by everyone." She decided to refrain from saying the only reason her mother, Barty Crouche's sister, was still alive, was because she had been a loving and caring aunt.
"I actually mean to use my neutral status for something else as well. Something I know the DA would never understand, but it's of enough importance for me to try it."
Glancing at Talia, she wondered if it was safe to trust her. There was a good chance she would think her crazy and change her mind about trusting her. There was very little chance she'd understand. But still...it was worth the shot.
"You see, here in Hogwarts this has been treated like a Gryffindor vs Slytherin war, with the other Houses remaining neutral - or joining Gryffindor. No one has ever even stopped to think that maybe, just maybe, not all Slytherins are His sympathizers. But I can't just shove them off as the 'enemy'. They are people. And I want to find out if among them there are some who remember Salazar founded their House, not You-Know-Who. I want to mingle with them, raise awareness, touch the sensitive chord, try and get if even a few on our side. We need them."
She stared at the other girl eye's defiantly, expecting her to say she was crazy.
PostPosted: Wed Aug 29, 2007 3:32 pm

"I think I get where you're coming from, I know one person you'll want to talk to, she interrupted my conversation with Gin, but she won't tell anyone what she overheard, she think's me and Gin are going out and are trying to keep it quiet.
She's in the year below us, Abigail, really long black hair, pale, I think she's neutral, though I'm not sure what Gin thinks of her, just don't mention I told you about her, we had to scare her a bit to make sure she wouldn't tell on us." Talia replied,
"Unfortunatly, the press on Slytherin himself portrays him as someone who was obsessed with purity of blood and all that." she said, "Don't want to bring you down, but if you-know-who is in charge, those who support him will use that to show the similarites between the two."

Gin went down to the common room and noticed that he was all alone. Perfect, seems Talia took matters into her own hands... and for all I know the carrows are right beyond the door. He sat on the couch and sighed. What ever made me accept that letter in the first place? he looked at the ever burning fire and scooched closer to it. I'm gonna need a distraction if I'm gonna make my move... dammit where's peeves when you need him. he cursed mentally and took the fake galleon from his bag. Tell me.... how did Granger get you to work? he took out his wand and began tapping various rhythms around the coin.
