I wouldn't really worry too much about the writing styles...as long as you do third person, it's all good! All the players have a slightly different style, but as long as we can understand what you're saying it doesn't really matter!!

If you're really worried about it, check out the RP thread we have going...that should give you an idea of what kind of stuff to do... and if you're still confused, you can PM lily546a (the captain) or me (yay, crewmember)! We'd be happy to help!

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been posting, I've been waiting for someone else to post. I felt like I was controling the story too much, which isn't my place since i'm not the game owner, so I decided to back off and let other's post. And no one else posted. I'll post sometime tommarrow, I'd do it today, but I'm too tired to make anything good.

I was thinking they definitely have alternate motives, they're not here for the material posession, but that'd be quite a U-turn to make them friendly, especially with the aggressive intro.. well that's mostly us... but with the black water there'll have to be someone else coming to attack soon behind them. If they are friendly there's plenty of space to introduce new characters, I'll go get a link for the ad thread and in the time between now and when we find out this we can do some major recruiting, or spare time recruiting.

whether the pirates are friendly or not Mahna and the other Teroa probably just have business, and I doubt any of us on ether side are going to step between two dragonaughts doing battle on a mystical floor of solidified water.

for anybody that cares to take the next post, that wave is still coming; The wave is the weapon aspect of the dark water. Defensively it makes water solid to put a barrier between the boat and any attackers, and the layer of water that stays liquidish is shallow enough that you can't swim but deep enough to prevent all but the most energetic members of a charge. The wave is pretty brutal, it can be directed or turned into a ranged weapon, directed or radial, if the pirates are friendly to Rinon they might not know that we are too yet so it's probably not ranged, and since we had a cloak they don't know if there are more of us, so it's probably radial. The wave isn't the attack, it's like the charge before it, once the wave reaches the edge of the black water a bunch of huge crystalline spires shoot out with a massive amount of force, mostly at about 45 to 85 degrees from level; our ship will be ripped in half. Mahna, the dude you're fighting likely knows this and will try to get away from the edge with out leaving the fight. for ranged attack the spires just shoot out completely, for directed instead of radial it just comes out of a section of the shadow's boarder instead of all of it.

Even if the pirates are peaceful there's no way the fighting will end until ether we make it to the ship, or we fail at making it to the ship, I'm not totally sure how that would come about but they would have to send out someone to help us, meaning they don't think we're a threat anymore.
