Mandi Gallows Edit: I quite enjoy it, dear Nari! biggrin lol, aside from the yellow text causing me to imagine the words 'constipation' and 'hemorrhoids' a few times, it was nice, short read. The a** ton of blogs I talked about earlier are all written by crafters and the like. I hardly get to read a serious blog, and when I do, it usually disappoints. But I really enjoyed the subject matter of your first post. smile Skotti and I have had a lot of "what if" talks lately, so the post hit home. Interest in blog: piqued. ;P ..... OMFGASDFJSIQPCIEBA~~~!! Really?? Thank you!! 4laugh I will do my best to keep that standard!! >:3 Disclaimer: I couldn't let the font be anything else. I just love yellow so much, lol. If you highlight the text, it turns blue. x)

I know, but I like a challenge! scream By the time I'd gotten through 2/3 of it, I decided I was too emotionally invested in deciphering the yellow, haha. And really! I did enjoy it. biggrin

You like that kind of challenge, huh?... I'll make it neon yellow next time!!! emotion_dowant ... No, then no one would read it, lol. Glad you liked it so much; that really makes me happy. ^_^ Especially because my college major is far from anything relating to writing words or emotion. . _____ .

What is your major?
Mine was Pre- Med. eek
Then English.
And then I couldn't side with my love of science over literature and vice versa. Although, Skotti was quite taken with me in a lab coat.
Aaaand then Ember decided I needed to leave college- in the form of a helicopter ride to a fancy shmancy hospital. xD

gonk This is why I refuse to have babies before I get my degree. I'm majoring in Computer Engineering with a minor in Math. I want a double major in Business Administration, but I don't think my financial support can handle it.

Faaaancy. wink I thought a while about majoring in Physics - but the physics department at the school we went to was practically non-existent. Eh, I'd wanted to be a mommy before a doctor, professor, or physicist. And We'd gotten the news 2 months before our wedding that I had a condition that makes it very hard to get pregnant. So, we kinda went for it. I do often wonder how everything would have turned out had I gone to Vanderbilt U after being accepted. On the one hand, I'd be getting an excellent education; and on the other, I don't know if Skotti would have followed, and if he did, we may not have our girls. But, I have no regrets about it. I've kinda learned to get over the whole missing out on an Ivy League degree, but I could never imagine my life without Skotti or the girls. Haha, okay, my sappy "I love my family" moment is over. Edit: Besides, I can always live vicariously through Ember and her Ivy League experience. twisted Or whatever she decides on.

As long as you have no regrets, I think you are on the right track in life. 3nodding Raise the girls to love reading and learning. Like me, maybe they will grow up bred with one thought: become valedictorian at all costs. emotion_dowant I mean, that was my life. My mom encouraged it in first grade, though I didn't consciously know it back then. But by third grade? Oh, I was aware, and I wanted it. Bad. So she pushed me and shaped me and checked homework for hours and so on and so forth. But I'm only 17; you're a grown woman and make your own decisions. xD

So she pushed me and shaped me and checked homework for hours and so on and so forth. But I'm only 17; you're a grown woman and make your own decisions. xD Oh, my dear, the plan is in motion. Seriously, at 2 years old, she meets every single standard on the list for a child entering kindergarten. Skotti's mom is an elementary school principal, so she's keeping a check on her progress, as well. haha. I'm not really pressuring her. We've had learning time each day as far back as I can remember, and she genuinely has a passion for learning, and she LOVES showing off her knowledge. She has an astounding grasp on grammar and reasoning. It scares me a little sometimes. eek And I was ROBBED of valedictorian status! ROBBED! scream The school I had gone to from grades 9-11 operated on a 4 point GPA system. There, I had a 3.978 GPA and fluctuated between #1-#2 in my class. When I moved to Colorado, we discovered they work on a 5 point system, and also required more credits (they worked on a block schedule, so they could accomplish more in a year), so I HAD to use most of my credit slots Senior year to take the miscellaneous fitness credits I needed to graduate. At this school, you got 5 points for an AP course in which you received an A as opposed to 4. They did not honor my A's from all my AP courses retroactively. So, a TON of kids had a nice 4.0 + GPA, while I was stuck taking crap courses, not able to attend more than 2 AP courses. I still graduated with a 3.89 GPA (I got a C in swimming gonk 82% because I had to miss a swim or three!), but still criminally low in the class (top 15% or so in a class of 300). :'( / rant over ROBBED! Okay... now the rant is over.

Eeeexcellent. emotion_dowant She seriously sounds like me when I was little. I could read at an accelerated level back then. You should have her tested to see if she can enter kindergarten early!...when she's old enough. xD My heart went out to you. Like, seriously. That hurt me a little. :/ But we know what you deserved, and one day you shall be acknowledged to the world when I get rich!! emotion_dowant Idk, I probably won't remember this in 10 years. /fail This kind of reminds me of my Senior year, but backwards. The dumb kids transferred to another school where they shot up to valedictorian. I was mad when they were bragging about it because they are basically compared to me in their families' eyes. Just... No. Not trying to puff myself up or anything, but it's the truth. emotion_facepalm

I was reading at a 1st-2nd grade level when I was 3 1/2, and she honestly seems more advanced than I was. eek She only reads a bit, but at the rate she's learned other things, she'll be reading whole books in a few months. She floored my doctor when I came in for an appointment and she was sitting in the corner counting to 20...at 16 months old. eek And I think I'll let her make the grade skip choice if need be. I was offered to jump to grade 2 in Kindergarten, but didn't take it. Then again in 5th grade (to jump to 7th). I wasn't socially prepared for it, and I'm glad my mama let me choose. Not that it amounted to anything because I was ROBBED! lol Plus: I'd have graduated before meeting Skotti. It still hurts me, haha. at our school, if you had a 4.0 or higher, you were a valedictorian. We had 12. eek But only one salutatorian. If they'd just honored my credits, I'd have graduated #2 in my class, even with my crap swimming grade! crying Without it, I'd have been tied for first in class. And if they would have honored marching band as a P.E. credit, I would never have taken swimming, and would have taken another AP course instead! scream I need to lie down. It's so painful... xD

You sure that kid isn't my long-lost albino sister?? xDD I was offered a grade skip innn... Second grade? But already being younger than the people in my grade, I would have been a baby in a higher grade. gonk No monkey bars, always being 'it'... *shudder* Maybe all that happened so you could meet your husband. Who knows. smile

I was already an outcast in my current grade (in Georgia, if you're smart, you become the target of many bullies). neutral Everyone: So, I mentioned the IA guy earlier, and everyone seemed receptive to it. Is it okay if he makes a small entrance now? I kinda jumped the gun and wrote him in the RP before asking if it screwed anyone up. If it is an issue, I can always edit accordingly. smile

To keep it running the same time my and Angelo's plans are, have the IA guy stall around or hang out, and talk to everyone except for Sabe, Waffle, and Luciano (Johnny will not matter, since he'll be invisible to the IA guy); he'll find out more about those three than he ever needed to hear lol.
