"An experiment based on some findings. the recipe that you used to create an alternate powersource for runing. I took some liberties and had a slave that cleaned Zahara's clothing and replaced them to see if she coudl find soemthing of similar use. unfortunatly, she didn't. So I used Malvolence's influence during her and sevilin's...moment...to find it. I had some of the weaker male slaves gather, and have been creating and feeding it to pregnant slaves in an effort to see if the substance can be used to jumnpstart this kind of energy usage."
Okay, that probably was not going to go over well.
"That, and I am in the process of creating a unique Dreadnaught."
Onyx decided to walk a bit heavy, rather liking hte occasional sound of crunching fingers beneath his feet, but no less swiftly following Catawa.
"His name is Malik, in case you cared to know. and I'm Onyx."

She sat up on her knees...and watching him for what seemed like a very long time. Then narrowed her eyes, frowned, and threw up her hands. "It doesn't work that way Malik! You're not supposed to play with that stuff, do you know that it's posion at anything but boiling temperature?!" OH that was horribly frustrating. He didn't even ask her about any of it, just went and did it. And he was busy getting other women indirectly pregnant again. OKay, he had indeed just stepped on and broken some of her toes. "Not to mention that's just horribly wrong of you...and what in the hell is that?"
Kieran, as graceful as any elf really, didn't falter in his footsteps and really didn't mind nor notice the ground too much. Bit of shaky ground was the least of his worries adn he followed on and up to the door, a few steps behind both felines. "Let's just be quick about this before we are neck deep in trouble beyond our control."
One may of called him brave, another may of called him foolish...for there Sevilin sat on the rocks, cross legged with his hands resting on his knees, eyes closed and facing the Underdark. Either unafraid, or completely daft to the dangers of the place. Or perhaps he was more confident that he was protected by unseen forces, that weren't of the Godly terms. Utterly silent...if one didn't look close enough to see him breathing they could perhaps thought him frozen in that position, perhaps dead. He was just thinking and meditating really.

Yep, that didn't go over well at all.
"Alright, I'll have it stopped immediately. and it's not getting women indirectly pregnant. I don't keep all my slaves corraled by sex. and eventually children are produced."
Okay, the next thing.
"A Dreadnaught is a very powerful creation. undead golem..though more golem that undead. highly resistant to cleric powers. I've been feeding it the essence of dead souls, as well as siphoning the strengths, agility, endurance, and speed of my those gladiatorial pets we had delivered a long time ago."
A slight smirk.
"And teaching it about combat through the souls of dead drow. mostly just arranging thier trip to Lloth to pass though the Dreadnaught on thier way and siphoning knowledge as they do so. and covering it's flesh in runes from your andalian book. your father translated many of the symbols meanings into drow for me. I'll just transfer the gel like substance into it's body, and use that as it's blood. that should allow the runes to be able to activate at will, correct?"

"Stop reading off my internal cues, now is not the time to play with those." A little up in arms maybe, oh yeah. "Malik...you don't know Andal, or things originating from it. Contrary to what you may think, I would indeed tell you all your little knowledge craving mind would wish to know if you just asked instead of doing it without thought." She gave a sigh, beofre slapping her hadn to her forehead. Kieran had done what? Ugh...these two were just so frustrating and she knew that Malik probably passed it off as a little 'oh I'm just curious' thing. To which Kieran would oblidge. He may be smirking and smiling but she wasn't nor was she impressed. "I take it you got those translations orally or you're really good at reading chicken scratch common." Then a sigh, might as well answer him, though she wasn't happy about it. "If the runes are carved in to create mroe or less...floodable channels... and can get the 'blood' seeped into them, I don't see why not...though you'd still need someone with rune experiance to control such things." Pissed more or less.

Malik frowned slightly.
"As you wish."
No more reading internal cues. after all he didn't have to now, he coudl just tell by looking at her she was pissed.
"I only do these things to promote our safety. I was hoping that I would sihpon knowledge from sevilin or even zahara. and thus, the creature would instinctivly know how to use the carved runes, thus activate them on it's own. I know you would tell me anything I want to know, but I wanted it to be something..impressive. I wanted to have in hiding, and then see your eyes when it was released, powerful, a juggernaut..and able to use the runes on it's own body. something that woudl show almost a blending of your power to mine. Rune magery and Necromancy combined."
That, and he really didn't like to fail in front of her. he didn't want her to see him trying and trying to get this creation to a usable point, and having it crumble into nothing, and having to build it back up again, and watch it fall apart about. he liked her thinking that he was able to accomplish great things with ease.

She honestly wasn't trying to be bitchy with him...she was just so upset lately what with Zahara harping on her morals, her collar off, Malik and Kieran hurt....it was all just kind of building. Nor did she enjoy the pregnancy subject too much...it was just a sore spot. But her anger never lasted long, at least not when Malik was there. A sigh in apparent surrender or something akin to it. "Ever think that by showing off with new toys you only draw more attention to us?" Though she did look slightly taken aback by his own little admitance to what he wanted to make her think. She shook her head lightly...where had this misunderstaning come about? Or was in inadvertantly trying to appease the more drow like air she had about her lately. "Malik...you know raw power does little to impress me..." Though she could indeed see his intentions...nice one, but gone about in the wrong way. "And I'm not a rune mage A'mael, just the offspring of one. The only power I hold unto myself is the strenth and steadiness in my bow." Of course that was her definition. Hands reached out, taking hold of his own...well this was a new form of misunderstanding or overthinking. "Since when have I wanted anything else of you, but you?"

Jarlaxle approached the meditating extra-planar rune mage, not bothering to use ruses or hide. He wore his wide brimmed hat, with rediculas plume, his eye patch over his right eye, two sword scabboards across his back (one overlapping the othe so one sword was draw to the bottom left the oth to the top right), his bracers with dagger enchantment, his drow mail, and surcoat with the blue and black markings of the Princeling. HIs belt adorned several wands, a pouch, and a black piece of cloth that was probably his portable hole. "Waiting for me?" He greeted.

Sevilin didn't even open his eyes, nor showed any signs of tensing up upon being approached. Those years were good for somehting, having to teach himself to not outwardly react. But back to the present and not dwelling in the past. "Waiting for you? Perhaps...perhaps not. Seems you are the one who is waiting for me, and wanting my attention."One eye opened to look at him. "What with your...blatant irritating of my barriers and triggers."

"I have to beat you or die." Replied the general, "The protection you used was beyond our expierance. A little time, a little soul searching, and we aproached the right diety. I think I can break your runes now, Sevilin Inthara." Jarlaxles hands flashed in a blurr of movement, his left hand held a long sword, which 'reeked' of runic magic, his right hand held a wand. "I have been waiting to test 'Rune Eater' and her sister 'Rune Breaker' for quite some time now." A partial lie.

"Then go on, get to it." He closed that one eye, red once again being obscured and he didn't make a move. "Not beyond your experience, merely a specialized art of a single form. Really...all the fuss." Sevilin was not going to give in to Jarlaxle's own vices...it was a waste of energy. His threat of 'getting around it' wasn't impressive either. He was a Rune mage Master...he knew these things in and out. There was always a counter to a counter. "Think all you like, try all you may till you're worn and tired." Still sitting there, having not moved an inch.

Shrugging, the challenger pointed the wand at the drow and released the charge. A flaming sphere of exploding fury rushed towards Sevilin. The wand holding hand imediately retreated and pullout another wand. The second wand released a charge that caused a pillar of holy lightning to fall from the sky towards the target. The hand retreated again, and pulled out the thrid wand, which relased a telekenetic burst at the drow. Three wands, three types of magic. Jarlaxle had to make sure that they all failed, his wizards would later tell him why. Rune Master. LIke a rune mage but more powerful.
"Masters should never be servents." Jarlaxle replied, really the only thing he could say. He was currious as to how Rune Eater and Rune Breaker would perform, he had an assurance from a god that they would. Gods, especially the ones that accepted gold for favours, were fickle.

You see...when shooting off concentrated magic, there was a flaw...it could all more or less be dodged with the right move. Sevilin? Well he'd been elevated on that rock, so he more or less shifted his weight and rolled backwards, dropping off of it. Which put a flame sphere over his head, out of the line of the light, but it was harder to block telekenetics. That was half taken and half deflected with a magic generated barrier, not a runic one.
"And I am not." That's all his reply was as he stood, standing in slack and non offensive or defensive posture. More or less screamed 'target' didn't he?

Zahara was still lying there on her blanket, though her attention had been caught by the sudden burst of magic coming directly ahead. Not too far off but a little ways nonetheless it appeared those two drow were at it again. She knew even from the distance that it was Sevilin and Jarlaxle. Jarlaxle's gleaming head gave him away every damn time. It would never make sense to her why the drow chose to go bald but she really didn't like him so that wouldn't be a question she would be asking anytime soon. Fear clutched in her throat and she sat up quickly hating to see the unarmed get attacked and beaten down wiht a bloody fist before htey knew what was happening. She'd missed Sevilin being there completely but she was avidly watching now. It appeared Jarlaxle was around for round two. For now she'd observe, but if it became obvious Sevilin was going to lose, not even his wrath would stop her from joining in.

Jarlaxle sighed, He could keep going with the wands all day, eventually Sevilin would not be able to dodge them. Why waste the time, pressing him with such futile things, the wand was replaced on the belt, and the right hand drew out the sword over his shoulder. It was time to see if master rune mages were as great as they said they were. He walked causually towads the drow, his blades out merely because he wasn't playing around. The first three attacks were for the wizards watching, they wanted to know the extent of rune protection against their known forms of magic. Now, Jarlaxle could find out exactly how the rune mage would fight under very stressful cicumstances.
When Jarlaxle was in striking range, about thirty feet from Sevilin, he burst into action. His first attack was not a very impressive one, more or less similar to an instant step in nature, but merely his normal drow speed. HIs blades cut accros the air, literally eating at the auras. A sword went for the throat the other for the solar plexis in strabing like thursts, which quickly changed into slashes going towards opposite directions, the top blade cutting left, the bottom blade cutting right.

"I do not like to see you, see me fail. I kept the project hidden becuase of such mishaps. this is the sixth version of it so far."
he lifted her hands in his, and kissed them lightly.
"I know that all you ever want of me, is me. But I still want to be the strong, wonderful elf in your eyes. and I find myself always under or overestimating things. it make me feel foolish. This was somethign I knew I coudl do well, something were I would seem in control, strong and steady again."
Though the flares of magic got his attention. Jaraxle..he remembered seeing wands on his person before, and knew Kimmuriel prefered enchanted blades. But he was probably after Sevilin, let him handle himself for now. back to Piper.
"I apologize for upsetting you."
