Dulnair Cabron LaSwan Dulnair Cabron LaSwan Does anyone know how to get The Sims (1) to play in window mode? There doesn't appear to be an option in the actual game.
EDIT: also I am making all of you guys because I am a loser like that. Who wants to live with whom? Copied from a Google search Yes, though you can't do it from the autorun/autoplay screen. If you have a desktop or Start Menu shortcut that you use to start the game, right-click on it, and select Properties. There'll be a textbox labeled Target, or something similar to that. Click in the textbox, then move the cursor to the end. Hit the spacebar, then type -w . Click OK. Whenever you use that shortcut to start the game, it'll start in windowed mode. You can also add the option -debug_objects to start the game in debug mode. This can be useful if you use downloaded objects. I want to be the cat. Or the dog. Or the lobster. Free cuddles for the whole family! Find Target took me to the program files folder for it and there's nothing else labeled that.
And the 'Run As' already has it set to be a normal window.

Grrr.......... I can't figure out how to do the thing in rpgs where party members will just walk out of the lead party member at the beggining of a cutscene and how to make them walk into the party leader when it's done. =/

[if ____ is in party] [sprite appears on the tile the leader is on] [sprite walks x tiles in the direction you want it to] [text as normal] [sprite walks back to the tile the leader is on] [sprite disappears]
They might have made it less complicated since then. That was just a workaround for them not having an actual option for it, really.
