Sir Eklyx I can see where that COULD be a problem, but easy is a relative term, Trainer A could have a super easy time with Gym Leader A, while Trainer B could get uber stomped by Gym Leader A
yah but a lot of types share common weaknesses, allowing them to choose exactly which 8, allows them to get a couple fire poke sin their party, and then take on the bug, grass, steel and ice gyms, add in say a couples grass types and you have water, rock, ground.
there two types of pokemon, and 7 gyms...
now I Know the gyms cover their weaknesses... but if someone planned the team, they could probably find a team of 6 that could easily take down 8 gyms, but not neccessarily do well at all against any other ones...
thats why I think it would be important to organize them into tiers to keep soemthing like that from happening?
I suppose it probably wouldn't xd I just like the tiers Idea, its really the only thing keeping this guild different than all the others.
every other guild ive been in has 17 gyms, one for each type, you pick 8 and beat them...
this guild is the only one I've seen that was different.
only 8 gyms, and it has tiers.
I think if we do go to 17 gyms, that keeping the tier system (and using it effectivly) is important to keeping ourselves individual/seperate/unique from the others.

Well what if we organized the 17 gyms into 8 tiers and tried to put tiers together with those who have similar weakness and just have one badge for every tier...

So ... about the gym battles and badges. I had a thought.
Isn't just arranging eight battles and getting eight wins a feat in itself? I think the tiers are still a great idea, because then hey, who doesn't want to show off by collecting the hardest of the hard to get badges?
But I still think keeping it at eight for the elite four is a good idea.

I like the idea of 17 gyms (I'm crazy like that and would try to beat all 17).
I also like tiers. It keeps things organized.

Not impossible, yeah. And I think it sounds really fun too. But you have to factor in people and when they can be online.
Does that mean we'll have 17 people running 17 gyms, or will some people double up, or even have three gyms?
And not everyone can be online when we want them to be. I think the more gyms the better, (even though there are only 15 pokemon types in all, right?), so then if you can't get a hold of one person, you still have the chance of challenging another gym for that last badge you need.
It's a lofty goal.
