"The purple flames from before, they help you see with no eyes?" she asked quietly. Though she did not wish to say it, she appreciated that he covered his eyes since he apparently did not wish to wander with his eyelids closed.

"Aren't you a bright one" Yawgmoth commented sitting on the barstool. The darkness was how he planned to see without eyes until he could regrow them. "The darkness is at my control no matter what. Seeing through it is easy in your mind's eye. The downside is of course the very nature of darkness. It is what can't be seen. You cannot see in darkness without some means of light yes? Same principal. Trying to see through that which cannot be seen through is a difficult task that requires concentration. And any bright light will disrupt our vision as well since it will cast away the darkness we see from. It will not be easy but we will not wonder around blind" He said with a slight cough tapping on his chest with his hand. Some internal damage had been done but that was easy to repair. His eyes were his main concern.

She bit her lip so as not to laugh, wondering if the reference to her being bright, though obviously sarcastic, was meant to be contrary to him talking of the darkness. "That is a fortunate skill to have, I hope no one troubles you with bright lights while you recover." she said, realizing it would sound odd but sincerely was wishing him good fortune. Nodding her head, she continued. "It is good to have alternatives to using your eyes, one never knows what trouble may cross their path."

"If for example, you did not have us hounding you, you without your sight would be just fine. You have no enemies that we know of. We have many enemies that would surely take advantage of our lack of sight if we let it get out. So" he leaned in closer and whispered "That means keep your mouth shut about it. We're not kidding in the slightest. If word gets around that someone found out through you, we'll tear your jawbone from your skull. You have no idea what kind of danger you'd be putting on our family and us if word got around we could not see" Yawgmoth leaned back up with a grin "But you wouldn't do that now would you. No...you like our son enough to not endanger him"

Her back stiffened with his next words. "Not that I would enjoy such a thing but if my vision were to be come impaired I would not be as helpless as you seem to assume. As for you and your entire family, I would never intentionally say or act if it meant causing harm. I will, of course, not speak of your ailment." saying this she hoped it would get the point across that she were not as interested in his son as he again assumed to think. Taking another sip of her tea, she found herself unable to restrain voicing her comment. "For your information, I am unfamiliar with most everyone around here and would show no preferential treatment toward anyone."

"Don't bullshit a bullshitter pet" Yawgmoth responded having his tail lash around the bar and find a bottle of white wine. He inspected it and grumbled "White...we don't have any red do we" he said poking around with his tail "Nope..just white. well dammit today is not our day" he said popping the cork and chugging a large gulp of it down shaking his head after the fact "Disgusting.." he said with a sigh. "But back to our point dear. We have seen you around other males and you were far different around Lanshor than say Reeve for instance or ourself. Of course, we know the difference between us and those people. They are on your alignment."

Frowning, she slapped her left hand on the bar, the hand closer to Yawgmoth, and when she raised it, a bottle of red stood there. Idly taking another sip of her tea, she spoke. "Now you do. As for that night ... I do not know what came over me. It is most uncommon to see a person display manners as he did unless I am clearly their elder and in that brief meeting that was not established. If anything, especially taking in to consideration that is is your son, though I may be his senior by age, he certainly would outrank me as a leader of the community as you have said your family are the same that govern this place." she paused, taking another sip of tea. "Have you ever spoken with Reeve?"

An overwhelming stench of ash and magma preluded Demetrius' entrance into the bar. It hovered, wavered and as whisked away to give way to the intense heat of his demonic person. He slowly shambled to the bar and saw the familiar face of Ziven there. Glad to be in good company he lightly and happily took a seat at a barstool. "Any tea today?" he inquired.

Turning her attention to the right, she first realize Demetrius had arrived given the sound and scent that accompanied his movement. Smiling softly she bobbed her head in greeting. "Certainly. Today feels ... fresh, how about trying some green tea?" she said merrily, tracing her finger on an knot in the tabletop, which was then covered by a teacup for Demetrius.

Yawgmoth blinked surprised that she'd even bother to craft red wine for him. Perhaps today was the day of truce between them. But those were fragile enough in their own right, and Yawgmoth was not one to let one of his 'pets' stay relaxed for too long. "Well now. That's more like it. Thank you pet" He said sliding the white bottle down the bar towards the other end of the two of them grasping the red wine he popped the cork and downed another thick gulp. "Delicious. You're not to shabby at crafting something from nothing. Misleading us on your real strengths aren't you?" he said with a grin on his face wiping a small trail of red wine that dribbled down his chin off. "Depends on how old you are dear. Which, by the way, we are curious to know. Our age is in nine or ten digits by now we're sure. We haven't bothered to count. But we're sure there's records on Phyrexia that tell us if we wanted to know. Lanshor is only nineteen. A youngling. You can't be too far from his age. aaand we have spoken with Reeve while you've been around. Privately? We cannot say we have" He finished taking another gulp down of the wine she had provided.

Taking another sip of her tea, she sputtered, nearly choking as she swallowed, upon hearing him thank her. Watching him closely now, she wondered if this was another game of his. "I remember from one of our first meetings that you do not wish for anyone to assist you if you are wounded. Making a silly bottle of wine is the least I could do, as I assume the alcohol is part to take your mind off your injury." she said firmly, but not harshly, sounding rather maternal.

Assuming his question was more rhetorical than serious regarding her ability to use magic, she thought about her age.
"The truth is we do not know my exact age. I was left on my master's door at a very young age. It did not occur to him to ask my age, though taking in the details of my history, we decided I am approximately 25 years of age. As for Reeve .. I am not as certain of his alignment as you."
PostPosted: Fri Dec 29, 2006 11:55 pm

"Yes and no. We are..almost immune to the effects alcohol has. Let's just say we're highly tolerant to it. It would take this entire wine rack and more since wine contains very little. Our body cleanses itself frequently in addition to regeneration. It removes toxins and poisons. It was created by us more for war, gas grenades and magic poisons and what not. It has side effects. Cleansing alcohol being one of them." He said taking another long sip down of the bottle. "We just prefer the taste of red wine to other drinks." Yawgmoth's eyebrow arched over the bandanna in curiosity at her 'semi unknown' age. "Still a youngling either way. Even if you were a few years older, still a youngling." Yawgmoth commented. "How can you be uncertain of our alignment pet!?" Yawgmoth laughed at the words in spite. "We would be more specifically classified as chaotic evil if you were to get into details. Reeve however, we suspect he is either neutral or chaotic good. We do not sense a great deal of evil from him. But perhaps he is hiding it."

Ziven nodded, hearing his explanation about the alcohol, shrugged her shoulders, agreeing indifferently about her age and could not hide her smile with his final words. "My apologies, I am aware of where you stand, I meant I am uncertain of where Reeve may stand in the grand scheme of things. I am not surprised that you have already come to a similar conclusion of uncertainty." with saying this, she then took another long drink of her tea, not sure what else she could say.

"Don't tell me he frightens you now? You two seemed so buddy-buddy from the start we figured the two of you would get along just fine. Either way it does not matter. We are the strongest. And we will not allow another evil around unless we like it. Such the case of Aliator." Yawgmoth said not mentioning that it was Ali who had blinded him, and it was Ali who had bested him as much as he had bested Ali in their brawl. "So don't worry your pretty little head. Besides, for a price we can make anyone you want disappear if they bother you." Yawgmoth said with a vile grin finishing off the wine she had made. Sliding the empty bottle down the bar.

"Frighten me? Not exactly. Though he did give me a scare once, casting an illusion of himself falling from the cliff nearby to test my reaction." she paused for a moment. Realizing that privacy was a value here, she did not wish to give information that any may not already know, so she chose not to speak of her encounter with Cain. "There is something curious about him, I can only hope to understand what that may be some day." again she grinned with his final comment, surprised that he would say such a thing let alone apparently offer a 'disappear service' to her. "Thanks, I think ... though again I can assure you I am able to take care of myself. Perhaps my methods are different from yours and assistance may be necessary for me in dire situations but ... I would wager you know this to be true."
