Hey all, just checking in. I had a great time at Tiki Oasis meeting some really cool and chill other people, and meeting some artists and watching bands, and drinking mai tai's, and room crawling, and buying stuff, and...ok, let's just say, I had an AWESOME time smile

mm, mai tai.
i have to look over my past students' evaluations soon to prepare my tenure and promotion file, and i'm planning on buying lots of alcohol and good food to make the whole process more bearable. i rarely drink (haven't had a drink since new year), but going over past students' evaluations makes me so stressed and anxious that i have to make an exception.

I want to see Ponyo so bad! D8 But it's not at the movie theater where I live... DX The closest theater that has it playing is about 25 minutes away... DX
One night only, one night only, come on, big baby, come on...one night only, we only have 'til dawn...

Meriko Jen: Perhaps it's too smooth? You could add a bit more shadow along the far side of the belly and even along the tails to emphasize the full curve, as if the overhanging belly is also casting the tails into shadow. A touch of highlight along the (viewer's) upper right of the belly may also add more visual interest. Thanks Meri. I'll have to try that when I get the chance to play around with it again.Aikawa Hanae Jen: I think it's awesome, but I agree with Meri - it could probably use a little more shading on the tails.
Maybe a little wrinkle under the breasts, too. I feel like it's a bit too smooth... looks kind of like Spandex, no offence. @_@ No offence taken Hanae. If I'd been worried about hearing bad things I woulnd't have asked for help. *snugs* I agree it is too smooth. I couldn't figure that out though when I was working on it. I can see it more now that I've had a bit of time away from it.
I hope I didn't miss anything else I was supposed to reply to.

District 9 was an excellent movie, but I was emotionally exhausted for hours afterward. The movie made me so angry and sad and nauseated. The last half an hour wasn't enough to lift me back up from the pit of despair that it had dug during the first hour+. T-T

BridgeChan Ah, what part of Tennessee? Columbia, but works about an hour north (I think it's north on 31) of there.

Jenannen Thanks Meri. I'll have to try that when I get the chance to play around with it again. And I now have no idea when that will be possible. I can no longer open up photoshop. gonk crying
Between no longer getting TV reception (we have a digital television, but haven't been able to get reception since we moved) & not being able to get out to movies presently I haven't even heard of ponyo or District 9. I did see a trailer for the new Harry Potter movie on... I think it was Inkheart when I borrowed that from my sister. That's the only movie that I know is out right now that I want to see. Mom said that even if it were a 2 hour movie she might watch the baby that long, but I don't have a shot at getting out to a 3 hour movie. There are down sides to nursing on demand. Though on the upside when I went in to my 6 week post-partum check up I was 8 pounds lighter than I was pre-pregnancy. ^_^
Eve: Don't rush into marriage if you're not ready for it. Marriage is a good thing though! I've been married for 7 years now and I'm glad that I am.

Well, considering we've only been dating four months, my mind screams at him to slow down. He's a really sweetie and he gets along great with my parents so far. Actually, he's more interactive with my parents than anyone else I've been with.

It's understandable that you don't want things to move that quickly. @_@ I mean, there are people out there who date for like a MONTH before getting engaged, but that's just plain nuts (I think). Whew.
also: blehhhhh i hate packing

eek ...
Is it just me, or does the Sunshine hairstyle and subsequent model in the announcement look an awful lot like Letalus? It might just be my vanity, though!
In any case, awesome hairstyles~ heart
