For a half of a second, Shin was frozen from shock. What went wrong? He had just performed the jutsu perfectly about 5-10 minutes ago. Why was it that he was falling off his horse now? After a few more seconds he realized that there was no horse. The fact that he had done the jutsu once only meant that he could perform it, not that if would go right everytime. He had to school himself in avoiding arrogance as he proceeded.

Now that his overconfidence was in check, he could proceed to explore what went wrong. He had released his chakra, he was dictating where it was going and what it was doing. His transformation was in progress and then failure. Shin believed the trigger was a surge, which meant he had to control his chakra better. He just could not be too hasty but rather make sure his flow and direction were secure before he began anything too fancy.

So he began once again, armed with a cool and calm composure as well as the care needed to perform the jutsu once more. Shin clasped his hands together in the proper handsign as he began to concentrate, delicately drawing chakra out of his body. With just as much care, he directed the flows to cover his body and make sure that everything went at a brisk but steady pace. Then and only then did he start the process that would cause his own image to mirror his sensei's.

Through his careful planning and precision in completing the previous steps, the rest of the process went quite smoothly. His image began to waver and was replaced by that of his sensei, so that once again he was a mirror image of the man facing him. Having no distractions, he felt he would be able to hold onto the jutsu longer this time but unfortunately, that was not the case. About forty five seconds into the jutsu, his concentration wavered and he lost the henge. However, his confidence was not diminished in anyway, he simply had to try again and hope for better results.

Instead of letting defeat how him down, Shin moved forward with an aura of confidence. He just started all over from the beginning, forming his hands seals and expelling his chakra. He diverted the flows so that his body was completely covered by them. He used them to bend the light around his body, changing his appearance rapidly. In a few moments, the image of his sensei was present once more. Now came the hard part once again, maintaining the jutsu. He had to keep up his level of focus so that he did not slip up.

He kept holding up his jutsu, now going past his previous time limit. His henge stayed firm though at times his grip on the façade wavered a little. Yet his work was not yet done. He had faith that he would be able to hold on for even longer. He just had to do as he was doing and maintain his intensity of spirit. If he could do that, his concentration would be manageable and his henge steady. Just a little bit more, just a little bit longer.

[Oh my gah! It seems that I'm being a little too mean with you LuvMonke! What about making the DC 12?]

"Very good Arashi, now just hold your Henge. I'll be distracting you, so look out for it," Sensei said as he saw Uzuki transform into a perfect copy of Kira. Leaving him be for the moment, he looked back at Shin to annoy- he meant, train him to cope with disturbances, of course, but before he could do anything Vesimine appeared.

"Ah, it seems that Fubuki is not doing any work, huh.." he said once she'd finished. "Well, the basics of being a ninja are of course the hand seals. The instructional textbooks are over there, on the bookshelf, and I expect you to know them by the end of today. Before lunch, even. If you need any help, just ask me."

He then looked at Shin, who was having trouble keeping his Henge it seemed. The boy could work with chakra just fine, but seemed to have a concentration problem. Inwardly, Sensei grinned maniacally. He'd have so much fun... but he'd be nice, first. Slowly, he took out a polished senbon. It would have shone in the sunlight, but today was too dismal for even a glimpse of the sun to peek through the clouds. With a lazy flick (and thus a slower than average throwing speed) Sensei threw the senbon at Takamura. He hoped the boy wouldn't hold that much of a grudge. He'd chosen the weapon that caused the least damage, after all..

Concentration DC: 12 (10 + half damage dealt)

[+3 to your roll]

"Focus on the Henge, Takamura,"
Sensei said clearly as the senbon hit him. "The Henge, and your chakra, and not the pain." Hopefully, his voice would puncture through the admittedly only small amount of pain Takamura must be feeling now. If the boy could keep his form after this, maybe Sensei would declare him done. Or maybe not...

((C'mon....big money, big money

edit: close one ... sweatdrop

Then things became a little more difficult. Not just because of how long he was attempting to hold the jutsu but also because his sensei was a sadisticab*****d. Not that he would say that to his face, the rules of proper manners must be upheld, but that didn’t change the face that his analysis was correct. I mean c’mon, the man took pleasure in sticking his students with senbon. It was only one so far but Shin had the feeling that his sensei might get a bit carried away. As he held on to his henge to the best of his ability, he prayed that his sensei refrained from continuing.

Sanabi kept reading the jutsu instructions, finding it yet even easier to read! his face scrunched up, not understanding how he had such a hard time completeing the jutsu training, when it seemed this simple on paper, Well, then again, the saying is easier said then done. Sanabi kept reading, learning bit by bit, hopefully trying to develope some skill from it.

Sanabi had reached the 5th chapter, and still found no hint of anything chalenging. As he got into the 5th chapter, he came across a section that confused him a little, he read over it again, trying to understand what it ment. For a few minutes he was stumped, and tapped his foot on the floor, unable to understand. Then it hit him like a birck, and he couldn't help but chuckle, it wasn't anyting complicated, it was just he was reading it wrong, and without any hang ups.

Sanabi kept reading, and it seemed to be getting harder as time went on. Either his mind was tireing, which he doubted seeing he'd only been awake for about an hour, OR the book was finally getting chalenging! so far, he had been reading so quickly, he hadn't relised he'd read to the sixth chapter. He looked to the header of the page and grined when that fact had come to his attention, There were only 8 chapters in the book. I'll be done in no time!

Sanabi kept reading, and did not find anything confuseing, in fact he felt he would simply glide through this book with no hinderance what-so-ever! He had learned a good bit though, how the jutsu was best used before the stirke, not right as the impact occured, as he was attempting to do. And his new reading was getting into the details of how to distribute the chakra in you body to produce the ultimate and most efficient effect. He reached the eighth chapter, and sighed, Almost done. A bit more and I'll be done with this book.I just hope I can actually use the information later.

Sanabi sped through the last chapter, and found it only reviewed everything else in the book. and touched on the important highlights that needed to be remembered. Sanabi noted each in his mind as he reached the last page. And he smiled while closing the book silently. He looked up and scaned the classroom to watch the occurances since he submerced himself in the book. Not much has happened it seems. Fubuki is still doing nothing. And WHERE is Suki!?!? She still hasn't arived!
