Listening to her words, he couldn't help but nod. His personal feelings interrupted his ability to think on his feet. Casting a glance back at the Ruby Dragon; his eyes followed Mioko before he nodded and gave a Aki quick squeeze of the shoulder, "If you die. I'm coming after you." He said with a reassuring nod and crooked grin.
Determination washed over his face as he turned to meet the dragon which spun in anger to meet the swordsman. With a downward arc, Blank swung his blade down and pulled the trigger. A loud bang rang through the area and when the blade connected with the stonelike snout, it sent it crashing into the ground, stunned for the moment.
"I think this'll be the only way..." He said through gritted teeth as the Ruby Dragon was only stunned a moment before lunging its head forward at Blank who jumped away.
Bringing his hand to his forehead, he concentrated with all his might, the blood rushing to his head at large intervals as he felt the entity in his head disappear, "Strike him down!" He cried into the air. The ground seemed to shake at extreme volumes and soon, a shadow grew in the snowy clouds above. A loud roar echoed, and very shortly after, the large form of another dragon took shape, dropping from the sky at amazing speeds.
The Ruby Dragon roared, looking above at the massive shape. Tiamat propelled to the ground, landing behind Blank as he let out an even louder roar towards the smaller beast. His size was large, the pale blue and grays over his stone like scales shined under the white. A black smoke shot from the Guardian Forces mouth, displaying the dark magic residing within. Blank stood tall as the Ruby Dragon seemed to become intimidated, taking a step back before hissing loudly at Tiamat and recoiled its head back, unleashing its fiery breath at Blank.
But his Guardian Force had other plans, wrapping his wings around his master. The flames bounced off the steel covered wings. He shot his open and with a violent lunge forward, used his strong claws to grab at the face guard of the Ruby Dragon. The beast fought, pulling back, but Tiamat was much to strong and larger for the smaller dragon, "You will not take Blank's life-" With his other claw, he heaved the Ruby Dragon who hissed and roared; above picking him up into the air, "-today!" Tiamat cried in his deep and gravely voice, and within an instant, his strong claws tore the stone like face plate which guarded the Ruby Dragons snout away from its skull.
With an even louder roar of pain, the Ruby Dragon struggled to be freed; but with his strong grip, the Guardian Force took in a long and deep breath. And with a mighty roar, incinerating blue flames that mixed with blackened magic shot over the face of the wild dragon which struggled profusely at the flames. But within seconds, the beast's limbs fell limp, and with a violent swing, Tiamat violent swung the corpse; who's head smoked and oozed black all over, down onto the ground and let out a triumphant roar before looking down at Blank who had an awed look on his face...stunned at the brutality of his usually calm alley.

The three girls watch transfixed as Blank's GF tears apart the Ruby Dragon. Mioko cheers as it dies, jumping up and down like a little girl. She then runs over to the dragons body and runs her hand over the hard scales and appears to study the creature. Rina just stares fixedly at Tiamat with a mix of horror and fascination on her face.
After the dragon dies, Aki lets out a sigh of relief and stumbles to her feet again; as she stands she feels like she is starting to spin and her vision becomes increasingly black. She staggers forward but collapses to the ground like a ragdoll before she can take a step. She lets out a soft moan as her head hits the rock, and then loses consciousness.

Tiamat couldn't help but let out a low chuckle at the blank stare on...Blank's face. His icy eyes turned to over look the group of his masters friends to see the one known as Mioko to admire the work they had done to the Ruby Dragon. But it was Rina who caught his attention the most. Furrowing his unseeable brows in surprise, Tiamat leaned his head down to the small girl who stared at him with fascination and what he thought was awe, "...I don't see a Guardian Force's presence within you..." He said, staring into her eyes with his ancient ones, "How is it you can summon such powerful spells?" He asked with his own fascination, trying to figure out the puzzle intently.
"Aki?" Blank says with extreme worry playing over his face, he dropped The Punishment Saber with a loud clatter as he ran towards the girl as she collapsed to the ground. He jumped over the defeated and dead Ruby Dragon and rushed to his lovers side.
He fell to his knees, taking her form in his arms and cradled her head in his hands, "Aki?!" The crimson warrior called her name, placing his hand over the pulse of her neck and listening to her breathing. She was alive...but her pulse was weak, "Guys?" He called to her friends, looking up to Mioko and Rina, looking for some assistance...he was at a loss of what to do.

Rina opens her mouth to speak, but only a small, stifled squeak comes. She swallows hard and tries again.
"I... I have been... able to use magic... since I was a child. It has always come as naturally to me as breathing," she says, her eyes wide.
She was very obviously frightened of the dragon god, but also obviously in awe. She looked almost thrilled that Tiamat was actually speaking to her.
Mioko's head snaps up as she hears Blank's call. She spots Aki, and rushes over to the pair of them. She also feels for a pulse, and sighs when she finds it. She runs her hands over Aki's wounds with a furrowed brow.
"I think she'll be okay... Her wounds are mostly closed and she isn't bleeding at all anymore. Rina's cure spells are a thing of wonder..." she says, glancing over to her tiny friend with a smile.
"But she has lost a lot of blood. We should get her back to the Garden so she can rest."
Mioko looks up at Blank and smiles at the worried look on his face. She places a hand on his shoulder and says, "Trust me, our girl has been through worse. She has a bad habit of nearly getting killed."

Tiamat nodded at the small girl, with a low chuckle at her timidness, "You are well skilled...maybe you are a daughter of Hyne?" He said in the form of a compliment, bowing his head as he did so. His gaze shifted from the girl to Blank; who ran towards Aki.
"...Okay." The crimson warrior stated, he placed his arms underneath her legs and back, picking her up bridal style, "Let's get going." He said, wanting to bring her back to safety before another Ruby Dragon made its presence known to the small group of people.

"I... may be," Rina says, honored by the dragon god's compliment.
She bows her head in return, then follows his gaze to Blank and her friends. She turns back to Tiamat with a low bow and says, "I am sorry, please excuse me." Then hurries off to aid her companions. She casts another cure spell on Aki for good measure.
Mioko brushes a stray bit of hair out of Aki's face, then smiles at Blank as he picks her up.
"Yeah we should go," she says, glancing over at Blank's powerful GF.

"Blank, I'll take my leave. Call on me if you need my assistance again...it feels good to be outside." Tiamat said when Rina turned and left for her friends. He rose to full form, spreading his wide, silver plated wings and let out what sounded like a groan.
Blank nodded, "I will." His eyes fell to Aki who he held tightly. When they began to descend down the mountainside, Tiamat pushed himself away from the rocky surface, flapping his wings and fading into the cloudy sky.

Rina watches the dragon go, almost sadly. Mioko however instantly charges down the rocky trail, leading them down the mountain. She constantly checks back on Blank, not wanting him to trip.
After a while they finally descend and step back onto the snowfield. Mioko waves them forward and leads them to the Garden, their pace much quicker in the open plains. She leads the group straight through the front doors and heads into the infirmary, ignoring the questioning gazes of the students.
The nurse stands as they enter, and her eyes grow wide as she spots Aki.
"What happened??"" she asks, rushing over to Blank and examining Aki's wounds.
"We fought a Ruby Dragon... and well, you know Aki. Determined to kick it's a** before it kicks hers," Mioko replies.
The nurse frowns and says, "Yes... I remember. Put her on the bed and I'll go get the doctor."
She rushes out of the room, leaving them alone for an instant.

Blank followed Mioko, keeping his balance fairly well as they climbed down the mountain.
By the time they had reached the Garden, people automatically cast stares at him and Aki, and he once again felt like just wanted to be alone with her. He hated being the center of attention when it wasn't intentional... When they reached the Infirmary, he stood silently as the nurse inspected her wounds. Telling him to put her on the bed, he strolled over and placed her down as gently as he could, brushing a few stray hairs from her face, "So, she'll be alright?" Blank asked, not looking away from her as he set her head comfortably on the white pillow.

The nurse returns with the doctor as Blank sets Aki down and both move to her bedside. The nurse places her hands on his shoulders, gently pulling him away from the bed.
"She will be fine. Miss Minardi has been through much worse than this in her day," she says reassuringly.
The doctor inspects Aki, and finds all her wounds completely healed. He looks towards Rina and says, "Your work?"
Rina blushes and nods. The doctor turns back to Aki and removes her glasses, then begins to unbutton her shirt. He pauses however, and casts a look to Blank.
"Perhaps... you should wait outside?" he says.
Mioko rolls her eyes and motions for him to continue.
"It's nothin' he hasn't already seen, doc. Besides, she's wearing a bra. It's not like she'll be naked," she says, winking at Blank.
The doctor glances at him again, then removes Aki's shirt. He begins to clean the blood off of her abdomen and arm, and then gives her a small needle. Once he has cleaned Aki up and checked her over again, he listens to her heart beat and checks her breathing. He gives her another needle, then finally he pulls a blanket up over her and smiles at the group.
"She's going to be fine. I gave her a shot which should help accelerate the production of blood cells, and will help fight any infection. We'll keep her here over night and she should be feeling well enough to leave when she wakes up tomorrow. I gave her a mild sedative so she should be out the rest of the night. All she needs right now is rest," he says.
He stands up and gathers his tools, then returns to his office. The nurse pats Blank on the back gently, then returns to her desk.

Blank stood to the side, watching as the doctor began to go to work. But when Mioko said what she said, he couldn't help but blush and turn away, scratching the back of his head. When the doctor seemed to be done, he spun 'round and nodded thanks to the doctor and nurse who patted him on the back, "...What now?" He asked, looking at her friends. Without Aki here...he was just kind of a visitor with nobody to actually be with. But he was sure that he could stay with her, and he wanted too, so maybe he would. His eyes looked over to the chair across the bed on the opposite side.

"Well, you must be hungry. You want to go get some food with us?" Mioko asks.
She catches Blank's glance to the chair by Aki's bed and smiles.
"Or you can stay here and we'll bring you something," she adds, smirking at him.

At the mention of food...Blank's stomach rumbled, his hand placing against it. He hadn't eaten much...a couple sausages and a waffle wasn't really a meal for the male...plus; summoning a Guardian Force like Tiamat was a mission on its own.
"...I don't think I could wait long enough for you guys to get back...I'd probably end up eating, Aki." He replied with a crooked grin, peering down at the sleeping girl lovingly.

Mioko grins at the silly, lovestruck look on Blank's face. She smacks him on the back and says, "Come on then. You can come back later."
She wraps her arm around Rina's shoulders and they leave the infirmary. They walk to the cafeteria and get into the line. When they get to the counter, they each order then wait for Blank to place his. When everyone's food is ready, the girls grab their trays and sit at their usual table, and Mioko smiles at Blank and pats the seat beside her which was usually Aki's seat.

He nodded when Mioko smacked him on the back. Bending over, he planted a light kiss on Aki's forehead before following the two girls out the door, peering into the room one last moment and closing it behind him. They walked to the Cafeteria and waited in line before it was their turn to order their food, Blank ordering a simple plate of spaghetti.
Taking the offered seat beside Mioko, he began to devour the food...almost as fast as Aki would eat an entire tray of food.
