"Well Tramer and Larien are back at the stable while Ty is still no where to be found, but they will catch up like they always do so lets get going," Epotheros said just before he sent Shadow into a full gallop towards the river.

Captain Fox McCloud "Well Tramer and Larien are back at the stable while Ty is still no where to be found, but they will catch up like they always do so lets get going," Epotheros said just before he sent Shadow into a full gallop towards the river. Epotheros stopped at the river only to say, "where is everybody?"

A shocked expression lingered on Clover's face as clicked her tounge signaling Alfie to follow Shadow and his rider. As they galloped after the two she realized how far behind they were. She sighed not feeling the need to race. No, she wouldn't push Alfie harder than neccissary. Finally she noticed that Epotheros had brought Shadow a halt. She could see his mouth moving but wasn't able to decipher what was being said. Within seconds Clover brought Alfie to a stop and chided, "In a hurry, huh?"

"Not in the least," he replied to her, "it is just that Shadow has not been able to get a good run in a long time. I sure seemed happy to run as fast as he could because he really didn't want to stop and wait for you," Epotheros said with a small chuckle. "You should lead the way from here Clover."

Clover blinked as his comment with a blank expression plastered on her face then let a grin set in immediately. "I guess he has every reason to," she countered. Then in response to Epotheros' suggestion Clover gave Alfie a light squeeze with her legs, signaling him to walk on. "It's still quite a ways along, if I remember correctly. Hopefully the others will catch up before we distance ourselfs from the river."

"Perhaps we should wait by the stream for the others to catch up. We could use some relaxation, maybe cool our feet off in the water." Epotheros said as he pulled dismounted shadow. He then tugged off his boots and threw them on the ground, aswell as removing his armor and sword before he went to wade in the shallows. Meanwhile Shadow decided to graze on some of the tall grass that was beside the river bed. "Come on Clover the water feel really nice." he yelled out to her.

Epotheros' sudden change of plans made Clover giggle. The day was hot and the water looked so inviting. She dismonted Alfie and threw she bow, and quiver unto his back before she slipped off her boots and socks. She hesitated for a moment and then stuck one foot in the water testing it's temperature. Quite satisfied she stepped in but stayed near the back. "It is quite nice," she admitted.

As CLover stepped into the stream Epotheros had already begun to wade into the deeper waters, where it was about three to four feet deep. As he stared down into the water a large fish swam by. Standing still, he waited for it to approach slowly. As soon as it was near enough, Epotheros lunged down and scooped it up against its chest, and as it fout Epotheros losty his ballance and feel into the water with a big splash.

Staying in the shallows, Clover watched as Epotheros fought a losing battle with an unexpecting fish. Suddenly he fell into the stream splashing water about. Clover cringed as a generous amount splattered onto her face and upper body. After the shock set in, her whole being was taken over by laughter. "Nice job," she said sarcastically in between laughing and trying to settle herself down.

As Epotheros recovered he could hear Clover's laughter and tauntings, "So is that how she wants it," he thought to himself as he swam over to her. She was already wet but he wanted to give her the same treatment as he had recieved. As soon as he was near enough to grab her hand he said with a grin, "now it is your turn." He then grabed her hand and tugged her into the deper water, allowing her to fall against him as they both plummeted into the water just incase there were any rocks hidden in the cool water that they could recieve injury from.

Thuroughly emersed in her own laughter, Clover didn't notice when Epotheros grabbed her and exacted his revenge. "Ahhhh.. eeep," escaped her lips right before they both submerged beneath the cool water. After struggling a bit Clover gave up and simply shrugged enjoying the relief from the hot climate.

"Your hair suits the water," Epotheros said sarcasticly as he looked upon the now drenched Clover. "Ah, I know something I can do to make up for my brash form of revenge," Epotheros said with a small smile as he picked a the flower of of a water lilly that floated near by an placed it in her hair.

At first Clover glared at Epotheros for his blunt observation about her hair. Though she appeared slightly frustrated, really she was enjoying herself. All the stress and worry that their long adventure had procurred completely vanished and was replaced by mirth. She smiled as Epotheros placed the dainty flower in her hair. "Thanks," she said quitely as she leaned over and kissed him on the cheek and then started to wade back to the stream's bank.

As Epotheros got out of the water, his clothes we imediatly dry as he had a particular ability of generating heat in the immediate area around him, thus excellerating the drying process. He then gathered his belongings and made his way back over to Clover and the horses.
"We have been hear for nearly an hour, perhaps the others are not coming. If they are, Tramer and Larien should be able to track us." He then mounted his horse and waited for Clover to get on hers, before he begain to walk into the forrest.

Upon leaving the river's a warm breezed blew any access water from Clover's person leaving her skin dry, but her clothing still damp and quite waterlogged. She followed Epotheros' lead and mounted Alfie. Though she wasn't sure that they should leave the others there wasn't any real reason why not. Clover grinned as Shadow's rider led the way. "So, which way now?" she mocked knowing he didn't know the way. At least she didn't think he did.
